BBCAN4 Day 66 - Tim uses the PoV on himself; Joel is nominated

May 1, 2016

9:00-10:00 AM: Cassandra told Joel that she thought of an idea. She said it will involve acting so that they can get to next week together. During her veto speech, Cassandra wants to mention that she has been loyal to Tim and Joel and has done everything in her power to keep all three of them safe. She then went on to add that she has been taking all of the flack for them and they are dead to her. Cassandra said she wants to make people feel bad for Joel and she will say she doesn’t want to go home next to someone who she carried through the game. She mentioned she would rather go home sitting next to two people who she despises. She wanted to ask Kelsey as a friend to put her next to the brothers so she can leave with some dignity. Cassandra let Joel know that she plans to stay alone all day. She wants to tell Kelsey that she knows she is done and she will be going home on Thursday because Joel has clearly sided with them over her. Joel didn’t have much to say other than suggesting that Cassandra think it over. Cassandra asked if Joel has any ideas. Joel though he could tell Kelsey that he would vote Cassandra out but he worries about being on the block over the brothers who have never had to sweat it out. He also said he could mention it makes him worry about his position on the totem pole if he is the one to be nominated.

Later, Tim told Cassandra that he doesn’t get why everyone was being so weird. Cassandra said it’s because Tim made a huge scene after the veto competition. She brought up how Tim said that all bets are off and he is now working with no one. Tim explained that he said that because Joel turned on them. Tim said he is not even playing the game and he is just existing there so he is sick of people labeling him as deceptive. Tim told Cassandra that when the veto competition was down to Joel, Phil and himself, Joel and Phil were still working together. He admitted that he was at peace with leaving this week up until that point because he thought that Joel was a good guy. Tim said he did not want to put his fate in the hands of someone who he no longer trusted. Cassandra felt that Tim was already writing her off. Tim assured her that he was not. Tim pointed out that Kelsey is the one who would have to replace either of them with the brothers. He told Cassandra that he has yet to decide whether he will use the PoV on himself or if he will use it on Cassandra. Tim said their one option for them both to survive was to have Joel win but he double crossed them. Tim said he is not just some visitor who can be tricked and then sent home.

10:00-11:00 AM: Tim told Cassandra that he has to decide whether he wants to stay or go and it is not something that she can convince him of. Tim said he gets in alliances what he fully trusts and then someone jumps ship. Cassandra said she doesn’t get what Joel is doing. Tim said he is playing both sides as he has done the entire game. Cassandra figured that Joel would continue to go to whoever is in power moving forward. Tim let Cassandra know he is open to both of them staying but he doesn’t want to try to trick the others in order to make it happen. He suggested that Cassandra and Joel convince Kelsey that she has a much better chance of winning if the brothers are out of the game. Not long after, Tim realized that Kelsey will not send the brothers home this week but he said she may send Joel home. Tim thought it would be best to explain that Joel has both of their jury votes, Nikki’s jury vote and Mitch’s jury vote locked up. As for Cassandra, Tim said that she does not have five votes to win. Cassandra pointed out that she cannot win a competition either. They said the brothers are dumb if they want to take Joel to the end because it will result in them getting $10,000 each. Tim said they have until Thursday for the others to realize that Joel can win the game but Cassandra cannot. Tim thought it may be best not to let the others know that they are furious at Joel, since they need them to believe he would have their jury votes. Tim said he would still vote for Joel to win. Cassandra said she would vote for Joel over Kelsey or the brothers 100%.

Cassandra said she thinks that she can win the game if she gets to the end, because she can then explain her whole game. Tim said it may be true but Cassandra cannot let the others think that. Tim told Cassandra she needs to become the Sabrina who has no chance of winning. Tim again questioned why Joel was working with Phil and not with him when the veto competition got down to the three of them. Tim said he had the same feeling about Joel yesterday that he did when Joel had jumped ship on them the week before Dallas left. Cassandra believes that there is little hope for them to both survive this week. Tim said Nick and Phil’s only chance of winning the game is to be up against either of them. Cassandra told Tim that they have to hear that from him because they wont even talk to her. Tim brought up that Kelsey could stick to the original plan that they had made with Jared, bringing both of them to the Final 3. Cassandra said Kelsey wants revenge. Tim felt that she could get that revenge by taking out Joel who was the one that played Jared and Kelsey the whole week by leading them to believe that they could get his vote. Cassandra said it’s over and that these people are not going to sway. Tim said he needs to work out how he wants to leave the game. Cassandra said she is the only person Tim thinks deserves to win the game. Tim admitted he isn’t sure that he thinks that because he doesn’t know if he agrees with how she played. Cassandra explained that everyone in the house has played that way but she is the only one who has owned up to it.

11:00-12:00 PM: Phil told Kelsey that Tim has said he wasn’t playing to win Big Brother Australia until he could see the win in sight. Phil said he is pretty sure that Tim had a moment yesterday in which he realized he can win and he now wants to win. As for Joel, Kelsey said she does not think that Joel can win the game after what happened yesterday in terms of him turning on everything that he had going for him. Phil hoped that Joel’s behaviour yesterday could save them next week in the event that Tim wins the PoV because he may now vote to evict Joel. In the living room, the screen changed from having the Big Brother Canada logo on it to saying that the veto ceremony is today. The veto ceremony is typically on Monday so the houseguests were surprised to see the message.

12:00-1:00 PM: Joel asked Kelsey if it is a done deal that he is going on the block. She said yes. Joel then questioned where he will stand once they get down to three or four. Kelsey said she does not know who she would take to the end at this point. Joel told Kelsey that he trusts both her and the brothers but he does not want to finish in third of fourth place. Kelsey said she would consider taking Joel but she would also consider taking Tim or the brothers. Joel asked if Kelsey believes him that he would not have used the PoV had he won it. Kelsey said yes. Joel discussed that there would be a lot of votes up in the air if the two of them were at the end together. Kelsey agreed. As for this week, Kelsey assured Joel that he will stay because both she and the brothers will vote to keep him. Kelsey then headed inside to speak with the brothers, Cassandra and Tim. Tim said he would like to know what the house decision is before he makes his own decision. He said he is fine with every option and has got to work out which one he wants to have happen. Tim explained that for the past month he was working as a team and had been prepared to bow out as long as that team would move forward. However, he said that last night he realized the team was an illusion and he had to put his fate in his own hands.

1:00-2:00 PM: Tim told the brothers that the plan was for Joel to win the PoV so that he could save one of them and the brothers would go up. The brothers said they knew that but Joel would not have used the PoV. Kelsey let Cassandra and Tim know that Joel shook her hand and said he would not use it. Tim pointed out that they had such blind loyalty to Joel that they kept him over Nikki. Cassandra and Tim told Kelsey that Joel was Jared’s demise. Kelsey said she knows that. Tim said he didn’t want the discussion to turn into this so he left. Shortly thereafter, Cassandra joined him. Tim said he will be using the PoV but he is unsure of who he will use it on. Cassandra insisted that she will not be able to get the votes if she is on the block. Tim wasn’t so sure about that. He said he doesn’t want to think Joel is some bad person because he made a move that everyone has made but it is that Joel did it to them in their time of need. Kelsey joined them. Tim explained that he is not trying to trick anyone and that he is only trying to work out the best thing to do. He told Kelsey that they all thought Joel was loyal to them. Tim mentioned that Joel would have four jury votes locked up at this point. Kelsey said the move that Joel made yesterday is the reason that he will not win the game. She added that he had always be so loyal and had that up until this point. Tim wondered if the brothers would keep him over Joel if he were to commit to helping them win the game. He said it would not be a lie but then he would have to go against Cassandra and Kelsey. Kelsey said Tim would beat the brothers at the end. Tim brought up that Joel is the one person he thought was trustworthy. He let Kelsey know that they knew all week that Joel would be voting Jared out. He also revealed that Joel played the victim to how Jared and Kelsey were treating him which made him end up hating Jared. Kelsey said that she too thought Joel was with them because he would always say Final 3 to Jared. Tim said it was Joel who played Jared and Kelsey last week. Kelsey reiterated that Joel will not win the game. Tim listed off Cassandra, Mitch, Nikki and himself as votes for Joel to win. Kelsey asked why they would vote for Joel after this. Tim said this is the one move that placed them in danger. Kelsey still believed that Joel had ruined his chance of winning by turning on Cassandra and Tim. She told Tim to take Joel to the end if he wants to win the game. Tim said he doesn’t want to win but he doesn’t want to go home next to Joel either. He pondered if he would be okay going home next to Cassandra or if he should stay in the game in order to take Joel out. Kelsey told Cassandra and Tim that neither of them will stay over Joel.

5:00-6:00 PM: Feeds went down for a couple of hours. Afterwards, Cassandra was talking to Tim about potentially using the PoV on her. Cassandra said Tim would look like such a hero and it would be a good TV moment. She went on to say that she is not ready to go and she is not at peace with it yet. Tim questioned why she didn’t win the PoV then. Cassandra said that she tried. Cassandra claimed that she would win the game if Tim were to save her. Tim asked what she would do next week. Cassandra said she will win HoH. She mentioned that she has gotten herself out of stickier situations than that before. Tim told her that the sticky situation is being on the block with Joel this week. She believes that she will have no shot at staying over Joel. She pointed out that Tim has said he wants to help the best players. Tim said he doesn’t know if Cassandra is the best player. Cassandra told Tim she would do anything to stay there. She asked Tim what he wants. He said that he wants quiet and wishes that he didn’t win the PoV because then Cassandra wouldn’t be nagging him. Cassandra then proposed an idea to keep them both safe. She said Tim could use the PoV on her and then make a deal with the brothers that he would not go back on. She said she will then win HoH and take the brothers out so that he doesn’t have to go back on it. Cassandra told Tim that both she and the brothers would then take him to the end. Tim said maybe.

Tim headed downstairs and spoke to Kelsey. He said he believes that Joel should go up for what he did to them yesterday. Tim told Kelsey that he doesn’t know how he feels about sending Cassandra home because this is her dream. However, even though he admitted that it is not his dream to win this, Tim said it’s not a charity either. He added that it’s not a death sentence if Cassandra is still on the block. Kelsey and Tim joined the brothers at the hot tub. Tim said he worked hard to get the PoV and will take himself off. He figured that he would look like a fool if he did not do that. He told the brothers that he feels as though they have unfinished business. Phil said he hates it when Tim says that. Tim explained that he didn’t mean that he is against them. He said there is a new page and they may end up working together. Tim headed back inside where Cassandra spoke to him again. Cassandra pitched the idea of saving her and then having Tim make a Final 2 deal with the brothers. Tim said he can’t be bothered and doesn’t know if he wants a Final 2 with them at this point. Cassandra said Tim had his dream in Australia and she wants her dream here. Tim let Cassandra know that he more she talks the less he is leaning towards using the PoV on her. He said Cassandra can trust him but he is not giving her a meal ticket. Tim said he is not stupid and he knows that he is Kelsey’s target. He then told her that he is thinking of what the people back home would tell him to do and it’s not looking good for Cassandra. Tim assured Cassandra that she will have his vote and he said he thinks that they can get Kelsey to keep her too. Cassandra disagreed.

6:00-7:00 PM: Joel asked Tim if he is upset with him about yesterday. Tim said a little. Joel swore on everything that he wanted to win the PoV and would have used it on Tim in order to keep them all safe. Tim said it seemed as though Joel and Phil were working together against him in the competition. Joel promised that he wasn’t. Tim said he knew where the piece was that Joel needed in the competition in which he was eliminated. Joel admitted that he didn’t want to expose himself but said that he should have. Joel said he feels like an idiot now that he screwed things up for everybody. Tim told Joel that Cassandra will go and that Joel will stay regardless of what happens. Joel asked if they will be going their separate ways after this week. Tim admitted that he does not know what is going to happen moving forward. Joel said he doesn’t think that he can get to the Final 2 with Kelsey and the brothers. On top of that, he said that he does not want to be in the Final 3 with those two. Tim said he is open to whatever but he is tired of relying on other people. Tim told Joel not to feel guilty. He assured him that he is not mad but what happened last night made him realize how much he wants to be there and how he has to put his fate in his own hands.

9:00-10:00 PM: The veto ceremony took place. Tim used the Power of Veto on himself. Kelsey nominated Joel as the replacement nominee. Joel was visibly upset after what Tim had said in his speech. Outside, Cassandra worked on Kelsey who continually pointed out that Cassandra got Jared out last week. Cassandra said they worked together all game as opposed to Joel who went from power to power. Cassandra assured Kelsey that she would always have her back. She pointed out that she no longer has anyone on her side because Joel has gone against her and Tim is being Tim. Kelsey was not buying it that Tim would not have Cassandra’s back until the end. Cassandra said she would vote Tim out over Kelsey. Kelsey said that last week still happened and that Cassandra did take out Jared. She said that she is not telling Cassandra to completely throw in the towel but she is being honest that it is not looking good for her. Cassandra said she made a mistake last week by taking Jared out. Kelsey agreed and said that Jared and the brothers would never forgive her for keeping Cassandra. Kelsey explained that the way she plays she would rather take Tim over Joel even though she thinks that Tim would beat her. Kelsey feels that Tim and the brothers also play that way. Cassandra proposed that she would nominate Tim and the brothers if she stays. Kelsey said she does not want to get the brothers out. Cassandra told her that she would be the one vote and could keep them.

10:00-11:00 PM: Joel made his way outside to speak to Cassandra. Kelsey was also there. Joel said he has an idea and said that he can go home so that Cassandra can stay. Joel explained that Cassandra deserves it more than he does. Kelsey told Joel not to give up on his game. Cassandra said this is very hard for both of them since they have worked together all along. Joel said Cassandra and Tim deserve a chance to fight and he does not want anybody to be mad at him. Cassandra and Joel decided to go elsewhere to talk. Kelsey headed in to tell Nick that Joel is talking about leaving. Nick said Joel doesn’t realize he would be screwing them all if he leaves. Kelsey said he really seems to be serious. Nick pointed out that they have the final say and he will be voting to keep Joel no matter what. Kelsey said the same. Nick said he will not mess up his own game for Joel. Meanwhile, Joel told Cassandra that he will leave because Cassandra and Tim deserve to be there more. He figured that Tim now hates his guts and may never be his friend again. Joel went on to say that he would be alone in the game and could not beat Nick or Tim in competitions. Cassandra filled Joel in on the plan to get him out next week because it would be easy of everyone to agree on and accomplish since he can’t win competitions. Joel said if he is out next round anyway, what difference does it make if he leaves right now to save Cassandra. She said that they would never vote to keep her. Joel mentioned that he could decide not to give them the option and just walk out the door.

Joel told Cassandra that she is a better talk and strategist than he is and she should stay. Cassandra said she would give Joel $20,000 if she stays and wins. However, she continued to encourage him and told him that he has made the Final 5 and will be moving on to the Final 4. Joel admitted that he does not want to be responsible for Cassandra leaving and Tim despising him. They discussed that Joel will have to win his way to the end if he stays. Cassandra said she will get to Final 2 and win the whole game if she makes it past this week. She figured that the others would try to talk Joel out of leaving because they want her to go. Joel said that it would really put a wrench in their plans if he were to walk out. Cassandra told Joel that he cannot leave unless he really wants that. She figured that Joel does not actually want to go. Joel said he may need to talk to the doctor. Cassandra agreed and told him that he needs to think things over and sleep on it before reaching a decision. Joel asked if he would have a shot at winning the game if he makes it to the end. Cassandra said his only shot would be going up against Tim in the Final 2 because people want a Canadian to win. Joel said he doesn’t want have to live it down that he was the demise of their three. Cassandra assured him that it is okay because it was her move against Jared that put them in this position. Joel said he should have picked a side instead of trying to play the middle. Cassandra said she knows that there is no way for her to get out of this. Joel again said that is why he is thinking of heading out. Their talk then ended and Joel headed to the diary room in hope of speaking to a doctor.

11:00-12:00 AM: Up in the HoH room, Nick informed Phil about what had happened while he was in the diary room. He said that Joel wants to go home and wants Cassandra to stay. Nick said that both he and Kelsey are planning to vote Cassandra out and therefore she is leaving but Joel will leave next week. They both agreed that Tim would keep them over Kelsey next week and that Tim would take them to the end over Kelsey. Phil think that Tim knows he would lose to them but he would want them to win the game more than he would want Kelsey to win it. Phil said he thinks that they have won the game already. Meanwhile, Cassandra and Joel continued to chat. Joel said he would leave if he had to make a decision right now. He expects that Kelsey and the brothers would not be on board with voting him out so he would have to walk out the door instead. Not long after, their talk ended and Joel headed to the diary room in hope of speaking to a doctor. Tim let Cassandra know that he is planting seeds that Joel had more to do with the move against Jared than Kelsey thought. Tim told Cassandra to make it seem like they can get him out next week. He figured that it may be best to work on the brothers rather than Kelsey because they are smarter. He suggested using the argument that she would not have put them on the block if she knew that Joel was playing her. Cassandra asked Tim if he thinks that she is going to go this week. Tim said no because Kelsey and Nick seemed to be rattled about the whole Joel thing since they thought that they had him 100% on their side.
