BBCAN4 Day 9 - Christine Wins The Power of Veto
March 5, 2016
8:00-9:00 AM: Sharry headed to the HoH room to talk to Jared. She let him know that she appreciates that he told her beforehand about what was going to happen. Jared pointed out that it’s not necessarily true that he would not use the Power of Veto if he were to win it. He said that the idea has been tossed around a lot. Sharry again said that she is glad that Jared is someone that sticks to his word, because it makes him someone that she can trust if she ends up sticking around past this week. Jared said that he wishes that he had more time to think things over, though the move that he made did not rock any boats since it was what was expected of him.
10:00-11:00 AM: The players were selected for the veto competition. Jared, Loveita, Sharry, Christine, Mitch and Phil will be playing. Ramsey felt that everyone but the nominees would keep the nominations the same. Sharry said that the people that were chosen are the floaters, so all that they will want to do is satisfy the majority.
11:00-12:00 PM: Tim told Loveita that if the nominations end up changing, he feels as though the replacement nominee may be in danger. He suggested that people may begin to realize that Loveita and Sharry are not a threat. Tim expected that someone like Dallas, Maddy or Ramsey would end up on the block if the veto is used, so Loveita is likely to lose a number either way. Tim felt that Loveita could easily make a case that those people are bigger threats than she is. Tim figured that Kelsey is the type of girl that will never have a girls alliance and will never vote for Loveita after she nominated her. Tim believes that Raul are the brains of the Jared, Kelsey and Raul group. Tim said that Joel is someone that people have to watch out for if he ever starts playing his own game. Tim told Loveita that the people that she needs to worry about this week are people like Joel and Mitch, since they are in the middle. Joel then spoke to Loveita and Sharry. He told them that there is a good chance that they will both stay if one of them wins the PoV. Sharry said that they will need Joel’s help in order for that to happen. Sharry thought that they would need to speak to the brothers as well. Loveita spoke to Nick and told him that neither of the brothers have ever been on her radar. She said that she would continue to be loyal to them and that would never change. Loveita mentioned that she feels as though she has a lot to offer people, even though she felt like she should self evict yesterday. Still, Loveita said that she wants Sharry to stay over her and she would quite possibly use the Power of Veto on Sharry over herself.
12:00-1:00 PM: After speaking to Nick, Loveita spoke to Phil. She asked if he is still planning on playing week to week. Phil said that he had never said that. Loveita mentioned that she thought that Nick had brought it up. Phil told Loveita that Nick is not a game player and does not know what Big Brother is, so she should be talking game with him instead of Nick. Phil was upfront with Loveita, telling her that he likely would not be using the Power of Veto if he were to win it. He said that he wanted to respect the nominations, just like he did with Loveita’s last week. Loveita asked if it is best for Phil’s game for her to stay over Sharry. Phil said that it is too early to tell. Before the conversation wrapped up, Loveita told Phil that she would be indebted to the brothers and would be rolling with them if they happened to use the PoV on her. Loveita then spoke to Jared and told him that she is not sure if she would use the PoV on herself over Sharry. Jared told her to do what she needs to do. Loveita asked if she is the target. Jared explained that Loveita and Sharry are a package deal, so if you can’t take the head then you have to take the arm. Jared added that he is splitting up two powerful people. He suggested that Loveita is the brains of the duo. However, he said that Loveita would not necessarily be his target if he were to win again. Jared pointed out that Loveita would be missing something if Sharry was no longer there. After the conversation with Loveita, Jared told Cassandra, Kelsey and Mitch that he believes Sharry is definitely the person that they need to get out of the house. After his talk with Loveita, Jared figured that she would have a tough time on her own. Kelsey said that she thinks that Sharry would be a target for everyone if she ends up staying. They all agreed that Dallas is someone that is getting on their nerves of late. Mitch said that Dallas is someone that is near the top of the list for him. Jared said that they had been talking about that as well, figuring that he may need to go on the block if the nominations are changed. Jared pointed out that even though Dallas lied, they are kind of okay with it for now.
1:00-2:00 PM: Cassandra, Kelsey, Mitch and Raul continued to chat in the HoH room. Kelsey said that she wants to get Loveita out. She felt that Sharry is transparent. Cassandra countered that by saying that everyone will still have hate for Loveita if Sharry is the one that goes. Mitch added that Sharry has the ability to make people feel comfortable. Raul said that it is best for Loveita to go. Kelsey mentioned the possibility of nominating Dallas, though she admitted that it is likely best to take out either Loveita or Sharry. Mitch said that Dallas is somebody that you want to make believe that you still trust him and are believing his lies. Cassandra brought up that Dallas once tried to gain her trust by revealing that he has a Final 4 deal with Loveita, Maddy and Sharry. Both Cassandra and Kelsey said that they would likely nominate Dallas and Maddy if they won HoH next week. Cassandra wanted to target Dallas. Raul said that he would nominate Dallas and Tim.
2:00-3:00 PM: Tim continued to spend time getting to know the other houseguests. He also expressed interest in learning about Canada. He suggested that the houseguests give him an initiation and then they can stop talking about Australia. The houseguests began thinking of a number of tasks that they could have Nikki and Tim complete in order to become honourary Canadians. Tim mentioned that they could have a group dinner at which each of the houseguests could tell them what they think that it means to be Canadian.
3:00-4:00 PM: Tim brought up that he thinks that Nikki has won Big Brother before and is lying about not having won. He thought that everyone on stage was a winner, though people quickly told him that Jase did not win the game. Dallas pointed out that Nikki has her own clothing line and does not need the money. Tim discussed his own season. He brought up how he faked that it was his birthday and then everyone got mad at him once they found out that he was lying. Tim mentioned that the housemates started to catch on to the fact that anyone that crossed him would go home. Finally, he also pointed out that power only works when people follow it. He called that the secret of Big Brother, before adding that he probably should not have said that.
5:00-6:00 PM: Joel and Mitch discussed their options for this week. Mitch said that it wouldn’t be the worst thing for them if either Loveita or Sharry won the PoV and a backdoor play was made. If they had to choose between the two, they figured that Loveita staying is better for their games. They discussed that Loveita trusts them and has isolated herself from many of the others, so she would be less likely to turn on them than Sharry would. Mitch pointed out that Sharry would be willing to take whichever path she could find, which could end up good for them or could end up bad for them. On the other hand, he felt that Loveita does not trust the other side and would be missing a leg without Sharry.
6:00-7:00 PM: Cassandra, Christine, Nikki and Tim chatted in the bedroom. Cassandra said that she believes that Sharry needs to go. Christine agreed but was less set in that train of thought than Cassandra was. Tim expected that Sharry would be the one to go and that Loveita would not follow immediately after. Christine agreed, saying that there is no threat once they are split up. Christine brought up that taking one of the wildcards to the Final 2 could be smart, since you could argue that they do not need the money and are only there for fun. Tim went along with that and said that this is not about the money for him. Tim said that he would be happy with making it to the final few weeks. Tim told Nikki that they are not much of a target now, since their votes are useful and can be utilized. Tim explained that they can be used to get the actual threats out of the house. Christine named Jared as one of those threats. Tim listed off Dallas and Maddy as well. Nikki said that Raul wants them out. Tim agreed. Tim said that he knows that he will be nominated at some point, but the person that was behind that better hope that they send him home because they will be done since he will join the other side and go after them.
7:00-8:00 PM: The “Jackpot” sign above the kitchen began flashing and making noise. The houseguests said that it had done the same thing last night, though it did not last as long that time. They all wondered what it meant. Cassandra told Loveita that she believes that it has something to do with the arrows in the storage room that are pointing towards the “COMPLAINT” sign. Cassandra told Loveita that she needs to figure this out for herself this week. Loveita suggested that the diary room is where you go to complain. Loveita wondered if anyone has tried to get into the diary room while the jackpot sign was going off. Cassandra said no but she thinks that is what needs to be done, so Loveita needs to do it next time. Loveita asked why she would let her do that. Cassandra said because she likes her. She asked Loveita to keep that between them, because she is working with other that are trying to get her out.
12:00-1:00 AM: Feeds returned following the veto competition. Christine won the Power of Veto and $10,000 from The Brick. Sharry told Loveita no to go around and tell people to vote her out. Loveita said that she does not want to be there. Sharry encouraged her to let things play out, though Loveita said that she does not want to stay.
1:00-2:00 AM: Cassandra spoke to Loveita and told her that she believes that they can get the house to vote Sharry out. Loveita said that Cassandra should leave things the way that they are, cause Sharry needs to stay. Cassandra told Loveita that people do not like Sharry and she wants Loveita to stay. Afterwards, Loveita relayed the conversation to Sharry, Loveita explained that Cassandra is saying that she is going to campaign for her and that the house is currently split in terms of which way they want to vote. Loveita asked Sharry if she is going to ask Christine to use the PoV. Sharry said that it would be wise to at least sit down and talk to her. Loveita said that she is over the experience and has been since yesterday, so it is torturous for her to have to be in the house for another five days. Elsewhere, Christine told Cassandra that she would never in a million years use the PoV. She said that the nominees made their bed and now have to lay in it. The two girls agreed that they would like to work with Tim and get to the end with him. Christine said that Tim is smart and is not afraid to make big moves. They both felt as though they were Tim’s favourite people in the house. Christine said that Tim wants to be used by smart people that are underdogs, and the two of them are underdogs.
In the bathroom, Tim spoke to Dallas and explained to him that he did not nominate people that he felt deserved to be at the end during his previous season, because he wanted to be there with the best people. Tim continued on explaining that he sees something in Dallas. He told him that he is a wildcard and can be used. Dallas told Tim that he would love to work with him. Tim said that people should not be threatened by the wildcards, since they are there to be at their service. Dallas assured Tim that he is not going after the wildcards if he wins HoH next week. Dallas said that he would be after the stronger players in the house. As for this week’s vote, Tim said that he expects that Sharry will be the one to go. Dallas agreed with him. Tim also said that he expects that Loveita will be there for a long time if she survives this week. Meanwhile, Cassandra was talking to Loveita in the bedroom. She said that she believes that it is a done deal that Loveita is going to be safe. Loveita said that she wants Sharry to be safe, though Cassandra said that she will work hard to save Loveita and will be doing it for herself.
2:00-3:00 AM: Maddy spoke to Ramsey and told him that Tim said that he is on their side. She said that she can tell when someone is lying and Tim was not lying to her. Maddy felt that working with Tim would be beneficial to them. She also let Ramsey know that Tim said that they can have both Nikki and himself if they want them. Ramsey said that Tim is someone that is so persuasive, so they can use him to help them get things done. Maddy felt that it would be an easy way for them to get two votes on their side. Ramsey also noted that Tim is someone that can get Cassandra to do what they need her to do. Maddy concluded that they need Tim on their side, even if Dallas is skeptical of him. She mentioned that Dallas would have to do his own thing if he is not on board with them bringing Tim in. Maddy later talked to Nick and told him that it is important that the two of them stick together. They agreed that they have a connection that goes beyond the game, since they are able to talk about life and not just the game with each other.
Up in the HoH room, Jared, Kelsey and Raul were trying to get Dallas to admit to being the fourth vote to evict Kelsey. Dallas denied it and said that it was likely Cassandra. After they continued to pressure him, saying that they knew it was him, Dallas said that he was about to expose everything. Ramsey was asked to leave the room. After Ramsey left, Dallas admitted to being in an alliance with Loveita, Maddy, Ramsey and Sharry. He also said that there is a second alliance called 5 AM in Toronto that consists of Cassandra, Nick, Phil, Ramsey and himself. Dallas felt that he could no longer trust someone in his group, so it was time to expose things. He admitted that he voted to evict Kelsey, saying that he had swore on things that he would do it. However, Dallas pleaded with them to believe that he did whatever he could to persuade the others to keep Kelsey. Dallas claimed to know that the vote was going to be 7-4 and that Kelsey would be safe. Dallas told Jared, Kelsey and Raul that they can go expose his game if they want, but he is 100% on board with working with them moving forward. He apologized to Kelsey for voting her out. Downstairs, Ramsey was confused as to why he was kicked out of the HoH room when he was always honest about his vote, while Dallas lied and was upstairs getting hugs.
3:00-4:00 AM: After Dallas left the HoH room, Ramsey questioned him about whether or not he thinks that he told the others about Dallas being the vote. Dallas said that he is not sure but it seems pretty blatant. Dallas told Ramsey that he always had his back. Ramsey swore on God, his mother and his sister that he did not throw Dallas under the bus and did not tell them about his vote. Ramsey reiterated that everyone is going to find out that he did nothing and that he is being blamed for nothing. Ramsey told Sharry that Dallas is playing this really smart and has shifted all of the attention on to him now. Ramsey did not understand why people in the house do not trust him. Dallas came back into the room and told Ramsey and Sharry that they clearly knew that he was the fourth vote, so somebody threw him under the bus. Sharry questioned Dallas about why he is trusting people on the other side rather than those that gave their word to him. Dallas believed that Ramsey told the others about his vote, though he admitted that he does not have 100% proof. Ramsey looked Dallas in the eye and told him that it was not him. Ramsey then went to the HoH room to ask Jared why everyone is so suspect of him. Jared said that it all goes back to people having heard that Ramsey made multiple Final 2 deals. Ramsey asked what will be happening at the veto ceremony. Jared assured him that he has no interest in nominating him. Ramsey headed downstairs and talked to Sharry, telling her that what bothers him most is that the others still trust Dallas. Back up in the HoH room, Jared told Kelsey that things went well for them tonight and that they can likely trust Dallas more now. Kelsey said that they should not trust any of them. As for the vote, Jared felt that it would be best to get Sharry out. Kelsey said that she didn’t care either way, but she would like to vote to evict Loveita regardless.
