BBCAN4 - Sharry Ash Exit Interview

March 11, 2016

Heading into the eviction, was your gut telling you that you would be staying or leaving?

Sharry: Unfortunately my gut was telling me that I was going to be leaving. Based on the conversations that I was having with everyone during the week, nobody really knew where they were going to vote, which made me feel that I wasn’t really safe. I was afraid that they were going to take that opportunity to vote me out.

Which houseguests do you feel are most responsible for your eviction, and why?

Sharry: I really don’t think that anybody in particular was responsible for my eviction. I think that it was just me. It was my actions. I do believe that people thought that my social game was a threat. They saw a lot of things that were going on in week one and how I was with Loveita. I really think that it was just me that put myself in that situation. No houseguests to blame.

You seemed reluctant to make deals in order to stay. Do you regret that at all?

Sharry: I don’t really regret it. The whole aspect of making deals to stay, I just don’t understand how that can hold up. If I make a deal to keep someone safe, how can I keep them safe if I don’t win HoH or Power of Veto? I didn’t want to give anybody my word and not be able to uphold it. It’s very important to me, so I wanted to stay away from making promises I couldn’t keep. That way, in the event that it didn’t happen, my trust wasn’t broken with anybody.

You said that you wanted to play “week to week”. Some people took that as you saying that you would float to the power. What did you mean by it?

Sharry: There were going to be shifts in power, as we can see. There was going to be people who broke trust, there was going to be people who won a PoV, there was going to be people who I can trust. I feel like the only person who really understood my game strategy was Jared. With that said, I think that that kind of made people nervous, thinking that I was going to be flipping and flopping. Everybody was kind of pressuring me to choose sides.

Early on in the week, Loveita said that she wanted people to vote her out and keep you. Do you think that she really meant it or was it strategy on her part?

Sharry: I think that she really meant it. I think that she was really passionate about keeping me in the game, because she was being vocal about going home. I never really believed for a moment that she actually wanted to leave, and that’s why I gave her the idea to campaign. I said “you should fight, you should try to stay in it”. I don’t think it was strategy. I think it was a heat of the moment type of thing that she was saying.

Outside of the game, do you expect that you will remain friends with Loveita?

Sharry: Yeah, I definitely think that we are going to reach out to each other when this is all over and try to maintain our friendship outside and get to know each other and visit each other hopefully.

Had you stayed in the game, which houseguests would you have wanted to work with moving forward?

Sharry: Definitely I could see myself a lot working with Tim. I think that him and I had a very similar energy and similar ways of thinking. We are not afraid to turn things upside down. I think that we could have both done some damage.

If you had stayed in the game and won HoH, who would you have targeted?

Sharry: I probably would have been targeting a lot of the people in the middle, specifically the brothers and Christine. Christine didn’t like me and I feel she is more the type of personal voter. If she doesn’t like something about you, that will put her in a position to want to just vote you out.

Now that Loveita is in power again, what do you think that she needs to do differently this time around?

Sharry: I have a big smile on my face about it (Loveita winning HoH). I really hope she takes the feedback. I am hoping that people gave her feedback about her HoH, she takes it, she gets out there around everybody, builds stronger relationships with people and rebuilds trust that might have been broken throughout this last week that just passed. I really feel that she is in a position to be very successful with her HoH this week. She needs to just get personal with people this week. Don’t be shy.

Which houseguest do you think has the best chance of winning the game right now and why?

Sharry: I feel like Mitch is doing a really good job. He is liked by the house but not too too much where they want him out. He is really coasting under the radar and not really letting people know what he is up to and what his business is. I don’t really see anybody seeing him as a threat, so I think he is going to make his way to the end and make some really good decisions. He is really smart and really well spoken. I definitely see Mitch doing his thing. I have had great discussions with him and they have got to watch out for that guy. Second spot, after Mitch, I would say maybe Tim. I think people think Tim is really wild, almost irresponsible. I think Tim is very smart and he has got that thing about him where people want to follow him. He knows how to talk as well. I can definitely see him more openly winning or coming close to it.
