BBCAN5 Day 17 - William decides not to use the Power of Veto
March 27, 2017
9:00-10:00 AM: Out at the hot tub, the three BBCAN3 players had a chat. Sindy mentioned liking Dillon and Emily. She said she gets good vibes from them. Bruno and Kevin agreed. Sindy asked what they should do in the event of a double eviction. Bruno said he would nominate the French Connection. Sindy said she was thinking the same thing since they are after Bruno and Kevin. Kevin told Sindy that she is in a really good spot and he doesn’t ever hear her name come up. Sindy said that scares her that people think that about her.
10:00-11:00 AM: William quickly spoke to Cassandra prior to the veto ceremony. He informed her that he will not be using the Power of Veto. Cassandra then went to Gary. She said that she will not throw anyone under the bus in her speech like Dallas did. Gary said that approach doesn’t work. Cassandra admitted she is feeling defeated. Gary said it is not the time for that, especially when he is sticking his neck out for her. Gary claimed to be working on Ika for Cassandra.
11:00-12:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto ceremony. William decided not to use the Power of Veto. Cassandra and Jackie remain nominated. Bruno spoke to Demetres and Kevin by the pool table. He said Dre seemed really upset following the veto ceremony. He pointed out that Dre didn’t hug anyone and went straight to the kitchen with Cassandra. Bruno wondered if Cassandra and Dre thought William was going to use the veto. Kevin spoke to Demetres about how someone in their six should win the game. Demetres said he would like to get to the Final 6 with that group. Kevin said they are too strong to let anyone else win the game. He said he fully trusts all of the members of the alliance. Meanwhile, Dre told Jackie that she has her vote. Dre said she will not let Cassandra know until Wednesday. Dre gave Jackie some advice with regards to how she handled this week. She said people are viewing her as someone who will give up information easily now that she went around telling everyone what Cassandra did. Jackie said she felt the need to do it because Cassandra would have beat her to it and twisted things if not. Jackie also relayed some info back to Dre about how her actions have been perceived this week. She said that Dre spending so much time with Cassandra is making people think that she may want to flip the vote. Dre said she just doesn’t want Cassandra to be alone. Jackie agreed. In the backyard, William told Ika that he feels sad for Cassandra because she looked so alone yesterday. Ika said all of the people that wouldn’t put them on the block are going home, making her worry. Ika said she thinks Bruno, Kevin, Neda, Sindy, Emily and Dillon are working together. William agreed. Ika suggested that Dre, William, Demetres and herself work together. Ika mentioned being concerned that Demetres has been getting close to Kevin, however.
12:00-1:00 PM: Out by the hot tub, Dre wondered aloud about whether or not Jackie is with Kevin and Bruno. She said Neda probably is with them. She said Karen talks too much and therefore she cannot tell her anything. Dre called Dillon and Emily cool but said they have got to go. Dre said she loves William. Dre mentioned that everyone believes what Gary says because he is Gary. In particular, she thinks Karen believes everything that Gary tells her. Dre wondered if she has to get closer to Gary. She said she can’t be fake 24/7, because it is too much fakeness for her. Dre said it is so annoying that she has to smile always. Jackie spoke to Karen in the pantry. Jackie said a couple of people have told her that Karen is voting to keep her cause she doesn’t appreciate how Cassandra is playing. Both Jackie and Karen said they thought that they could work with Cassandra. Karen called Cassandra, Dallas and Jackie disloyal, saying they were trying to get her up on the block the week that Dallas left. Jackie argued that she was not disloyal since they were never working together. Karen agreed but said the other two were disloyal. Karen then went on about things Dallas told her Jackie said about her. Jackie denied all of it. Karen said she doesn’t want to get in to it. They discussed that things did not die down between them after their disagreement. Karen told Jackie that Cassandra said Neda should nominate the two of them. Jackie said that’s why she is not talking to Cassandra. Karen called it a lose-lose situation. Jackie told Karen she doesn’t want her to think that way. Jackie assured Karen that she does not want to go after her.
1:00-2:00 PM: Dre told Cassandra that she does not trust Gary. Dre said Cassandra is Gary’s #1 so she understands why she trusts him. Cassandra asked why the vote is flipping. Dre said it is because Cassandra is Gary’s #1. Cassandra asked if Ika said that. Dre said no. Dre suggested that Ika felt pressure and cannot vote with them. Cassandra said Ika will be out soon if she keeps doing that. Cassandra said the people in the house have no guts this season. Dre said people in the house are good at putting things in your head and backing themselves up with lies. Cassandra said the people in the house do not want to work with anyone that has an opinion or does not agree with what they are doing. Dre said Cassandra came in with a big target. She thinks Neda came in with a similar target but she got immunity. Dre figures that Bruno and Kevin will want to get Neda out. Cassandra wondered if they can reel Ika back in. Dre said she will talk to her but she thinks Ika believes she cannot go far if she votes the way she wants to vote.
2:00-3:00 PM: Cassandra told Demetres that he will be at the bottom of the totem pole with Bruno and Kevin. Demetres said he wants to fly under the radar for a bit. Cassandra asked if he is going to vote out someone that was loyal to him then. Demetres said he knows she has been loyal but his vote is not going to mean anything. Demetres explained to Cassandra that the whole house has turned on her. He advised her to enjoy her time and hope that someone gets to return. Cassandra asked if she should hope to return to a bunch of people that want her out. Demetres said it would change everything. Cassandra said it is dumb to turn on her to go with the house when she is so loyal to Demetres, Ika and Gary. Demetres said he is trying to stay out of it. Cassandra said she feels so dumb for being so loyal to them. Demetres said the whole house is after Cassandra and they are lying if they say otherwise. He said it is unanimous based on what he is hearing. Cassandra said that’s because Demetres is talking to Neda and Sindy.
5:00-6:00 PM: Big Brother punished the houseguests for rule breaking. All of the houseguests are on slop. Gary said he is embarrassed, devastated, hurt and angry. Ika said she is embarrassed that she contributed. Gary said he feels bad because production works so hard and devotes so much time to this. Ika said she is guilty of saying mean things about past houseguests, so she cant point fingers at anyone. Gary said they can never say the word production again or never talk about a past houseguest again.
8:00-9:00 PM: Out by the hot tub, Demetres and Karen discussed their talks with Cassandra. Demetres said Cassandra is good at manipulating. Karen agreed. She thinks Cassandra’s game blew up because she put too much trust into Dallas and Jackie. Karen said Cassandra played too hard too fast. Karen mentioned Cassandra told her Demetres’ vote is the only one she doesn’t have. Demetres said Cassandra is lying and she doesn’t have the votes. Karen said it amazed her that Jackie approached her and said she understands that she has her vote. Karen said Jackie shouldn’t get too comfortable. Karen asked Demetres if Ika told him that Cassandra is saying Bruno, Kevin, Neda, Sindy, Emily and Dillon are working together. Demetres said Ika did not tell him about that. Karen said that leaves the two of them, Ika, Gary, Dre, William and Jackie. She said they can control things if they remain loyal to each other. Karen said she has been observing those people since Cassandra brought it up, and she has noticed that they are often in the HoH room. Karen mentioned that she really wanted to work with Cassandra, but Cassandra threw her name out there to Neda.
9:00-10:00 PM: Cassandra pointed out to Dre that so many big targets entered the house yet she was the biggest one for some reason. Dre said it’s because Cassandra played so well on her season. Dre said the returnees don’t have the balls to make a move because they are scared to go home. Cassandra said she wants to screw with Neda’s head now that Neda’s true colours have come out. Cassandra told Dre that Neda walked by her with her nose up in the air like she is garbage. Cassandra added that Neda thinks she has already won the $100,000. Dre said she thinks Neda will target her when she gets the chance.
10:00-11:00 PM: Gary and Karen talked some game while playing pool. Gary said she hopes that Karen is not going to team up with Bruno and Kevin. Karen insisted that she will not. Gary noted that Bruno is outside with Demetres, trying to reel him in. Gary said Demetres should realize he would be more loyal than Bruno will ever be to him. Karen revealed that she plans to target Kevin. She called him the biggest snake and said that he thinks he is in a great position. Gary suggested that Karen nominate Bruno and Sindy instead. Karen said she would not even consider nominating Sindy, given that Sindy helped her win HoH. Gary explained that just as much as Karen doesn’t mind Sindy, he doesn’t mind Kevin. Gary then suggested nominating Dre alongside a vet. Karen said Kevin’s name. Gary told Karen that he is working on Kevin. Karen didn’t care. She prefers to keep Bruno over Kevin. Karen said Kevin is working with everybody. Karen said she may nominate Emily and Kevin, with Dillon being the backdoor option. Gary said Kevin is a target for later, not now. Gary called Bruno the mastermind. Gary revealed that part of him wants to keep Cassandra. Karen said Gary is driving her mental. Gary said Cassandra will always be a target. Karen said it is their opportunity to take her out. Gary said they are not the only ones that want to keep Cassandra. Karen said that scares her even more. Karen said Cassandra is going because she was willing to throw her name out to Neda. Gary said he will vote for Cassandra to stay if she is able to rally enough votes. Gary told Karen that he will need her to vote Jackie out if that happens. Karen worried that they would become instant targets if they were to make that move. Next week, Gary said he would nominate Bruno and Emily. If one wins the veto, Gary said he would backdoor Dillon. Karen still preferred to nominate Kevin over Bruno. Elsewhere, Ika told Dre to throw Gary’s name out to Neda. She said a lot of people are doing that. Ika wanted Dre to clear things up after yesterday’s incident. Dre then spoke to Neda. Dre explained that she put trust in to Gary when she shouldn’t have. Dre said Gary was talking about wanting to keep Cassandra, yet somehow it turned in to her being the one campaigning for Cassandra. Dre said she feels betrayed since she doesn’t think she did anything wrong. Dre admitted she got defensive because of that. Dre assured Neda that she fully trusts both her and Ika. Neda admitted she wondered if Dre and Cassandra were close when she first heard the rumours, then she realized it was just Gary being Gary. Dre told Neda that she will not be voting to keep Cassandra. Out by the pool, Cassandra asked William who the targets will be once she is gone. William said he would love to target Neda if not for her safety. Cassandra told William to be careful of Kevin since he is using him. William said he knows that and he wants to separate Bruno and Kevin.
11:00-12:00 AM: Cassandra spoke to Karen. She told Karen to nominate Bruno and Kevin. If one of them were to win the veto, Cassandra said Dillon should go on the block. The two agreed that Cassandra is unlikely to stay this week. Cassandra thinks Ika and Demetres are the ones that need convincing. Cassandra asked Karen to speak to Ika tomorrow in order to point out everything bad about keeping Jackie. Downstairs, Gary asked Dre, William, Demetres and Ika if they think that Cassandra would come after them. They all said no. Ika said they don’t have Karen on board. Gary disagreed. He said Karen is more upset with Jackie. Gary said he is throwing things out there but he is not going to stick his neck out there. Gary pointed out that the people he is talking to right now have the power with the vote this week. Gary said they will have one more person on their side for next week if they make the move. Ika said Gary has always told her not to stick her neck out. Gary argued that it didn’t fully work. Gary said his gut tells him not to ruffle any feathers. Ika said splitting the vote will ruffle feathers. Gary said it seems to be a spilt house even though it’s unspoken for the time being. Demetres said keeping Cassandra is playing with fire. Gary said it could be a good thing that Cassandra will keep going on the block. Ika said they don’t want to have her spilling their secrets. Gary told the group that even if Cassandra does go, it would be nice if they could stay strong together. Gary said he is willing to accept Cassandra is leaving if that happens.
12:00-1:00 AM: Gary told Cassandra not to give up. Gary said he is working hard for Cassandra. She said she is working hard as well. Gary suggested working on Demetres because he is the weak link. Both agreed that Demetres has a deal with Bruno. By the pool, Demetres and Ika discussed that they need to keep Dre and William around for as long as possible. Ika said they will be needed when their alliance turns on them. In the kitchen, Gary told Dre and William that he thinks he will be going with the house and voting Cassandra out. Cassandra headed out to campaign to Demetres and Ika. She said she will always be a target in front of them. Cassandra told them that she would fight for them to the end. As for Bruno, Cassandra said he will turn on Demetres in a second. Ika asked if they have the votes. Cassandra said people are telling her that she only needs Demetres and Ika on board. Ika asked who said that. Cassandra said Gary. Cassandra said she for sure has Dre, William, Gary and Karen voting for her. She asked if they want her to grab those four. Ika said sure. Cassandra then got Gary and Dre. As Gary arrived, he told Demetres and Ika that he is lying. There was a brief discussion about how they can stick together and have the votes. Gary then told the group that they need to disperse. He said they can talk tomorrow. After Cassandra left, Gary told the others that he is sorry for even bringing up the possibility of keeping Cassandra.
