BBCAN5 Day 45 - William uses the Secret Power of Veto on Kevin
April 24, 2017
11:00-12:00 PM: Feeds returned following the veto ceremony. William decided not to use the regular Power of Veto. However, William used the Secret Power of Veto on Kevin. Demetres nominated Karen as the replacement nominee. Karen asked Dillon who plotted this. Dillon promised that it’s not a plot. Dillon said he thinks Bruno is still going home. Karen disagreed. She said that Jackie, Kevin, Dre and William are together, so they will keep Bruno. Karen said Demetres, Ika and Dillon just screwed up their game by doing this. Dillon said he didn’t do anything. Karen said Demetres put her up over Jackie because Bruno is staying. Dillon disagreed. Karen said Bruno and Kevin got in Ika and Demetres’ head, making a deal. Karen told Dillon that he is being played by Dre. Karen said Dillon, Ika and Demetres will see that the only one who was not playing them was her. Bruno joined them. Karen told him that he made a good move and he guaranteed his safety. Bruno said he had no idea about this. Kevin joined them. Karen said good job and told him that he finally made a good move. Karen asked who found the Secret PoV. Kevin said it wasn’t him. Karen said Jackie used it then. Karen mentioned seeing William looking for it last week. Karen left the bedroom and spoke to Dre. Karen said she is going home. Dre told Karen that the other side does not have the numbers to save Bruno. In the pantry, Ika told Demetres that Jackie, Kevin, or William had to have used the veto. Demetres didn’t think that it was Jackie since she could have gone up on the block if she used it. Demetres said Karen told him he messed up his game and now she is going straight to jury. Demetres told Ika he assured Karen that he put her up because it ensures that Bruno will go home.
12:00-1:00 PM: In the bathroom, Dre told Jackie and William that Karen thinks she is going home now and that Jackie saved Kevin. Jackie said she would not have risked herself to save Kevin. She said it only makes sense that Bruno or Kevin found the veto. Jackie said at least Demetres knows that it had to have been Kevin. Dre said Karen is mad that she called the Secret PoV and nobody listened to her. Jackie said she cannot stand Karen since Karen thinks she used the veto. Jackie asked if Kevin could have pushed harder for William to use the veto. Dre said he pushed just enough to make them think that he pushed, but he could have pushed harder. Dre told William she is glad that he didn’t use the veto on Kevin since it’s now not on him that Kevin saved himself. In the HoH room, Ika reminded Demetres that they were planning on getting rid of Bruno all along anyway. Demetres agreed but said this creates a bit more of a mess for next week. Demetres said Jackie might have found the veto. Ika agreed. She then said it could have been William since he was called into the diary room this morning. Ika said William would have used it if this is the last week that he could use it. Ika told Demetres that he went with his gut and this is all that they could do this week. Ika said Dre will vote with them even though she hates Karen. Ika headed to the bathroom. She said to Jackie that if she used the veto, she knows they kept her word. Jackie swore on her family that she didn’t use it. Ika said Jackie is an easy person to blame. Afterwards, Kevin thanked William. Kevin asked William if he wants him to take credit for it since they think that he did it. William said he would love that. William told Kevin to say that he found it three weeks ago and cannot say anything more. Kevin said he will think about it. Numerous houseguests enjoyed the sun out by the hot tub. Karen kept telling Kevin not to shut his eyes and sleep during the day time. Kevin asked if William’s eyes are shut. Karen said she doesn’t care because Kevin is the one who needs clarification since he is stupid. Kevin told Karen not to call him stupid. Kevin said he has never made an attack at Karen’s personal character. He added that he respects people in this house. Karen told Bruno that she is rubbing Kevin Martin the wrong way. Kevin said calling someone stupid doesn’t rub anyone the right way. Kevin told Karen that she doesn’t have to attack his character just because they are against each other in the game. Karen suggested that Kevin goes around and tells people that she attacks him, even though it’s not true. Kevin said he has never played the victim. Karen said that’s what it is. Kevin later joking asked Karen if their Final 2 deal is still on. Karen told him to shut up and said over her dead body. Kevin said it was just a joke. Karen called Kevin an arrogant prick and told him not to try to cause any more paranoia. She said Kevin is the only one who has made five Final 2s. Karen mentioned that even Kevin’s own mother talked about how hard Kevin is playing. Kevin said his mother is proud of him.
1:00-2:00 PM: Kevin swore to Ika that he didn’t use the veto. Ika said the only thing that sucks is that they would have kept him and now they can’t prove it. Kevin said he believes them. Demetres joined them. Ika asked if Bruno would team up with Dillon if he stays. Kevin said Bruno would go after Dillon. Kevin told Ika and Demetres that he understands if people want to keep Karen. Kevin let Ika and Demetres know that their one week truce is still on. Kevin said they would be stupid to go after each other next week. Bruno joined them. Ika told Bruno and Kevin that Karen thinks everyone is plotting against her and that there is a big plan in motion. Demetres said it wasn’t a hard decision to put her on the block. Ika told Bruno that Karen claims Bruno has been saying he has to say so that they can go after Ika and Demetres. Bruno said he hasn’t even been talking game with her. Ika brought up Dillon saying that he isn’t sure if they can trust Dre since Karen is saying a lot of things about her. Ika said Karen keeps telling her that she cannot trust Dre. Kevin joked that Dre is on his side and working for them. Ika said they talked to Dre about keeping Bruno and Kevin last night. Ika explained that Dre admitted it would be good for Ika and Demetres but not for her. Kevin said they should talk to Dre. Bruno said he is game for anything. Ika let Bruno know that Dre is more concerned about him than she is about Kevin. Bruno and Kevin left the HoH room and spoke in the bedroom. Kevin told Bruno that William used the Secret Power of Veto. Bruno questioned why William didn’t use the veto on him then. Kevin said he didn’t know about this veto beforehand, and he was legitimately trying to get William to use the veto on him yesterday. Bruno said they need Karen to send herself home this week by blowing up. Bruno thinks he doesn’t have any votes other than Kevin’s. Kevin thinks they can get the votes. He mentioned getting Dre, William, Ika and Demetres on board with keeping Bruno. Bruno said they don’t need Dre. Kevin said Dre and William will vote together. Bruno asked Kevin to get in there for him since he needs his help this week.
5:00-6:00 PM: Karen told Bruno that Kevin has convinced people to work with the two of them, meaning that she will be voted out. Karen said Bruno knows that he became safe as soon as she went on the block, though he doesn’t want to believe it. In the other room, Kevin said he is going to fight hard for Bruno because he doesn’t want him to leave. Kevin told Dillon that he will keep the people safe who vote to keep Bruno if that happens. Dillon said he loves Karen but he wants to do what’s best for his game. Kevin said he understands if it’s not best for people’s games. Dillon said it could make sense to him if he knows that they have his back. Kevin assured Dillon that the three of them would have a tight bond. Kevin pointed out that they need each other since people will not waste HoHs on weak players anymore. Dillon asked if Kevin would target Ika and Demetres. Kevin said it depends on whether or not they keep Bruno. He admitted that it would be tough not to nominate Karen if she stays. Kevin threw Jackie’s name out there as another potential nominee. Back in the pink room, Ika asked Karen if she is okay. Karen sarcastically said that she is great. Ika said Karen is not going home. Karen wasn’t buying it. Karen said the other side has the numbers to get her out. She questioned why Jackie did not go up over her. Ika mentioned that Demetres was probably worried about people voting Jackie out over Bruno. Ika asked why Karen thinks she is leaving. Karen told Ika that she has been different of late. Karen said the others have made Ika paranoid. Ika told Karen that she has her vote to stay. She also said she will be fight for her. Karen worried that Demetres wants her out due to some type of deal that he made. Ika again told Karen that she is not going home. Karen said Ika and Demetres will watch this back and see how badly they got played. She said she was the only loyal one in there.
6:00-7:00 PM: Kevin pulled Bruno aside to tell him to talk to Dillon a bit more. Kevin said Dillon may be a bit more open to keeping Bruno than they had thought. Kevin thinks Dillon is worried about people coming after him next week. Bruno said he is scared to say anything to Dillon since he will run back to Dre, Ika and Demetres. However, Bruno said he will do it if he has to. Bruno said they will be able to turn this right around if the votes flip. Kevin said he will be working so hard to keep Bruno in the house. In the bedroom, Karen talked to herself about how William may have found the veto. She brought up catching him looking for it. The alternative that Karen discussed was that Bruno, Jackie, or Kevin found it in the have-not room last week.
7:00-8:00 PM: Kevin told Ika that Dillon asked him if he will go after Ika and Demetres next week. Kevin said he told Dillon that he will likely go after Karen if she stays. He said Dillon expects him to be vengeful since he was put on the block this week, so he will play into that when talking to Dillon. Bruno joined them. Ika said Dre has been working on getting the two of them and Demetres in a four with Dillon, but Dillon doesn’t seem to be buying it. Ika said Dre will have to trust Bruno more than she trusts Dillon if she is to keep him this week. Bruno said Dillon is going after Ika and Demetres. Ika said Dillon claims that he is after Jackie but she isn’t buying it. When it comes to keeping Bruno, Ika said she cannot do it unless Dre is on board. After Ika left, Bruno said they are going to have to get four votes without Ika and Demetres. Both agreed that Ika is not on board. Kevin wonder if they could get Dillon to admit that he is after Ika and Demetres. Kevin said they need to know that Dillon and Jackie are going after them.
8:00-9:00 PM: Dillon told Demetres that Karen is heartbroken. Dillon explained that the numbers will tip against them if Bruno stays. Demetres said Bruno is going home. He said he put Karen up in order to ensure that Bruno will leave. Demetres told Dillon to calm Karen down because the only way that she will go is if she starts losing it on people. Up in the HoH room, Ika told Dre that Kevin said Dillon approached him and asked if he is going after Ika and Demetres next week. Ika said Bruno then came in and asked about voting Karen out. Ika told Dre that she said she will not do anything without Dre. Ika then said that Dillon spilled the beans to Kevin about the three of them and Demetres trying to work together. Ika asked Dre if they can trust Dillon. She said Dillon should have came to them to let them know that he mentioned their names to Kevin. Ika said Dillon will go to anyone in power, being a male version of Jackie. Ika argued that they don’t owe Dillon anything else after keeping him safe this week. Ika said they have to figure out what the safest route is for the two of them and Demetres. Ika suggested sticking with Kevin and William for now. Dre thinks that Kevin will be easier to work with once Bruno leaves. Ika said she is realizing that Bruno has to go since his hatred for Dre is so deep. Ika talked about Bruno bringing up that Ika knows him. Ika said Dre is her true friend and she doesn’t know Bruno any more than she knows Dre just because she met him once or twice outside of the house. Downstairs, Kevin told Demetres that he knows in his heart they would have kept him. Kevin went on to say that Dillon expects him to be vengeful and go after Ika and Demetres. Kevin assured Demetres that the truce is still on and there is no way he will be going after them next week. Meanwhile, Dillon spoke to Karen about playing it cool so that she doesn’t end up going home. Karen told Dillon to trust her because she will be the one leaving this week. Karen is convinced that there is still another veto in play since Brittnee had two to use during Season 3. He thinks the veto holder would have had another one to use it in the event that Demetres nominated them as the replacement nominee. In the kitchen, Kevin let William know that he will be voting to keep Bruno. Kevin asked what is best for Dre and William. William said he isn’t sure because he would feel bad if Bruno stayed and went after Dre. Kevin said Bruno would likely go after Dillon and Jackie if Dre and William keep him around. William asked if Bruno would go after Ika and Demetres. Kevin said it would depend on whether or not they want to keep him.
9:00-10:00 PM: Demetres told Karen that he put her up because he thinks it is the best way to secure Bruno going home. Karen said that she is going to go home because the secret veto holder will have two votes. Demetres asked what means. Karen said even if Bruno gets voted out, the veto holder will choose to save him and then she will go home. She said that’s what Brittnee was able to do when Bruno got sent home. Demetres said that is a completely different scenario. Demetres said he is not going to bank on a crazy twist happening. Karen asked Demetres if he will keep her in the event of a tie. Demetres said yes, given that he has no reason to keep Bruno. Karen said Jackie should have been on the block then. Demetres told Karen that she is being paranoid. Dillon told Karen that Dre, Ika and himself are going to be voting for her, then Demetres will break the tie.
10:00-11:00 PM: Ika told Kevin that Dre brought up to Demetres that they should work with Kevin moving forward. As for Bruno, Ika said Dre does not trust him and she has every right not to. Ika said Kevin has William’s trust, he can get Dre’s, and he has her and Demetres. Kevin said he wants to prove himself by winning HoH and nominating Jackie next to Karen. Ika told Kevin that Dre, William and herself will not put Kevin up. Kevin said that’s who he wants to work with because they have been honest with him. Kevin said they are going to be the only two returning players left after this week. Kevin told Ika that it’s a little bit scary. Ika said they can do it. They talked about trusting each other the least at the start. Ika told Kevin that if he shows her loyalty, she will show it back too. Kevin said he knows that the votes would have been in his favour had he stayed on the block. Ika talked about not being able to go against Dre to keep Bruno. Ika said Dre has been loyal to her. Ika explained that she wants people she is loyal to to be in good positions. Ika and Kevin discussed working as a five with Demetres, Dre and William being their best option moving forward. Karen told Dre she cannot believe how quickly people have turned. Dre said she will fight for Bruno to leave, then she wants an apology from Karen once she stays. Dre said the whole house knows that Karen has her vote this week. Dre encouraged Karen to go out and campaign for herself tomorrow.
11:00-12:00 AM: Out in the hot tub, Jackie told Bruno that she would keep him if the house is on board with it. However, Jackie said it seems as though Bruno is the target right now. Bruno asked Jackie who she thinks Karen will nominate if she wins HoH. Jackie said Karen will put her up. Bruno told Jackie that Kevin can be trusted moving forward. Jackie said she will likely be going after Karen next week if she wins HoH. Bruno said that’s crazy since that’s what people want Jackie to do. Jackie explained that Karen would come after her and she starts unnecessary drama and rumours. Dre and Dillon discussed that Karen’s paranoia is making people want to keep Bruno, though they will vote to keep her. Dre let Dillon know that she doesn’t have the heart to go after Ika and Demetres. Dre said she didn’t want to come in there and backstab people. Dillon agreed. He said he is on board with going to the Final 4 with those two if that’s what Dre wants. Dre said someone else taking a shot at Ika and Demetres is a different story, but she cannot do it. Dillon again agreed. Dillon asked if Dre is on the same page in terms of getting Bruno, Kevin and Jackie out. Dre said yes. Dillon said he will be targeting Jackie and Kevin if he wins HoH.
