BBCAN5 Day 49 - Kevin nominates Ika and Demetres
April 28, 2017
8:00-9:00 AM: Dillon headed to the HoH room to speak to Kevin. Kevin said he thinks that he is going to throw Ika and Demetres on the block. Dillon said he would have put them up if he had won. Kevin let Dillon know that Bruno told him he has to trust Dillon and Karen. Dillon asked who the target would be. Kevin said he is going to put them both up there, let them campaign, and see what happens. The two discussed that Ika is manipulative and has been trying to pit them against each other over the past couple of days. Kevin said it will be perfect if he can go into next week with Dillon and Karen. Dillon said Karen is on board with him. Kevin told Dillon that he doesn’t feel the need to make a one week deal with him. He said Dillon can keep him safe if he wants to. Dillon said he wasn’t going to nominate Kevin.
9:00-10:00 AM: Jackie and Kevin spoke in the HoH room. Jackie told Kevin that the last thing she said to Bruno before he left is that she will get Ika and Demetres out. They discussed that Ika is pitting everyone against each other. Kevin said the only thing that concerns him about Jackie is that his conversation with her got back to Ika the other day. Jackie admitted to telling Ika about it. She claimed to be playing Ika at the time. Jackie apologized and said she thought that Ika already knew everything. Jackie said she is too honest at times. Jackie asked Kevin if he and Bruno told Ika and Demetres to target her last week or if it was the other way around. Kevin said it started off with him proposing that they should work together as a four, then he said to put Jackie up next to one of them. Jackie said she open minded to a truce with Kevin. Kevin said he would love that since they are the two solo players and would be crazy to go after each other.
10:00-11:00 AM: Demetres told Kevin he knows that everyone is offering him safety, so he has to one up. Demetres said if he or Ika win HoH next week, Kevin will not be nominated initially or as a replacement nominee. On top of that, Demetres said they will use the veto on Kevin if they win it. Demetres told Kevin he has kept his word in this game for moments like this when it is needed. Demetres explained that he had to put Bruno and Kevin on the block together because he could not trust Bruno. Kevin said the deal Demetres is offering is pretty good since he just wants to make it past next week. However, Kevin said he would not expect Demetres to use the veto on him if Ika is going to be the replacement nominee. Afterwards, Kevin spoke to feeders about his thoughts. He said there is no one that he would survive the block against. Kevin wondered if he should keep Ika and Demetres safe, hoping they return the favour next week, or take one of them out and rely on Dillon, Karen and William. Kevin said there is no reason to take Jackie out since she has no loyalty and nobody trusts her. Kevin thinks he should trust Dillon and Karen. He talked about how he will have to win HoH or PoV each week moving forward, otherwise he will leave since nobody can trust him. Kevin acknowledged that they shouldn’t trust him. Kevin said he has to nominate Ika and Demetres since he knows in his gut that it’s the right thing to do. If one of them wins the PoV, Kevin said Jackie would be the replacement nominee.
11:00-12:00 PM: Karen spoke to Kevin about his plan for nominations. Kevin said he thinks he is going to put Ika and Demetres on the block. Kevin said he trusts what Bruno said that Dillon and Karen will help him out if he helps them out. Karen said nothing would make her happier than to see Ika go home since she has been mean to her and they put her up when she was loyal to them. Karen said the kingdom is falling. Kevin said it’s going to fall this week. Kevin told Karen that he was never going to go after her. Karen mentioned that she didn’t ever believe it when Bruno would tell her that. Karen asked who Ika wants to go up this week. Kevin said Dillon and Karen. Dillon joined them. Kevin informed him that Ika and Demetres will be his nominees.
12:00-1:00 PM: Kevin approached Ika and Demetres to let them know that he is going to nominate them. Kevin said he didn’t know what he was going to do before, but now he has had a chance to talk to everybody. Kevin explained that feels like he cannot trust them, just like they couldn’t trust he and Bruno last week. Ika said they would have kept their word. Ika asked if Kevin feels like he can trust the others more. Kevin said this is just what his gut is telling him to do. Ika said she understands. After Kevin left, Ika told Demetres that Kevin would have made this move anyway and it didn’t take talking to the other people to make him do it. Ika said there is nothing that they could have said to change Kevin’s mind. Demetres agreed. Ika said she feels worse that Demetres is in this position because of her, since she couldn’t win HoH.
1:00-2:00 PM: Ika headed to the blue room to speak with Dre and Jackie. She said she is visiting her friends. Ika said Kevin told her that Jackie threw her under the bus. Jackie said she just told him how she feels about her. Ika asked how Jackie feels about her. Jackie told Ika she feels like she is pretty manipulative. Ika said she didn’t know Jackie felt that way just a few days ago, but that’s nice to know. Jackie told Ika that she went back and forth between her and Kevin and Bruno, telling them what they were saying about each other. Jackie said Ika is a huge target in this game and she took out two people close to her in Neda and Sindy. Ika asked if Dre has anything she would like to share with her. Dre said no. Ika then asked Jackie who she would have wanted Dre to put up if she had won HoH. Jackie said that’s not any of Ika’s business. Ika told Dre and Jackie that they should get her out since it will be a living hell if she stays in the house. Ika added that she will be their biggest nightmare if they keep her. Ika said you don’t want to see her when she is not nice. Jackie said she has. Ika told Jackie that she has not seen anything yet. Ika then asked Karen if she spoke to Kevin Martin to throw out names. Karen said she has not thrown out anybody’s name. Ika said that’s nice to hear. Ika told Karen that Kevin said everybody threw her under the bus, so she just wanted to know. Dre went to Ika and asked why she is being all mad. Ika said she wants to know why her friends went to Kevin’s HoH room and threw her and Demetres under the bus. Kevin said he did not tell her that everyone threw them under the bus. Ika told Kevin that is not what he said earlier Dre asked Ika if she told someone not to tell Kevin not to use the veto during William’s HoH. Ika said yeah. Dre said Ika did some shady things and she still stood there with them and understood. Dre added that Ika waited five weeks to tell her about playing both sides yet she still understood. Dre then walked away. Demetres pleaded with Ika not to do this for him, implying that she is doing this to get sent home. Demetres said Dre didn’t throw them under the bus but she did not fight for them. Ika said she is only asking because Kevin said that everyone threw them under the bus. Ika told Demetres that if she makes people hate her, they will send her home over him. Demetres told Ika not to do that since she will regret that. Ika argued that Demetres has a better shot at winning than she does at this point.
6:00-7:00 PM: Feeds returned after being down for over an hour. The houseguests took part in a task and earned themselves a pizza party. They were given pizza, wings and beer.
8:00-9:00 PM: Jackie asked Dre if she thinks it’s better for Demetres or Ika to go. Dre said she has no idea. Jackie said Kevin hinted that he wants Ika to stay because she is a bigger target. Jackie added that taking Demetres out makes it less likely that they will lose the HoH competition. Jackie mentioned that Kevin might want to keep Ika around to take Dre out so that he can have William to himself. Dre said she wanted Ika to go yesterday but now she doesn’t know which option is better. Jackie said she would like to see Ika go since she is unable to speak her mind with Ika in the house. Dre said she would like to go up to Ika and say bye. Dre thinks Ika gets mad at people for playing the game. In the pantry, Kevin used the Oreos to run through scenarios. He said he is in trouble if he gets rid of Ika or Demetres. If he keeps them, Kevin said they might end up getting too far in the game. Kevin mentioned that he could call a truce with Demetres if Ika goes. Kevin said multiple times that the house wants him to go after Ika and Demetres. Kevin questioned why he would want to play the game of those five people. Kevin said there cannot be a decision that is mutually beneficial for six of eight people. He pointed out that he is likely the loser in that situation. Kevin threw out the idea of nominating Jackie and Karen, though he said that is a pretty weak move. Kevin said he needs to make it through next week and he cannot do that if he takes out Ika or Demetres. Kevin thinks that Dillon, Karen, Dre and Jackie will all nominate him next week. If he does nominate Ika and Demetres, Kevin said he would have to suck up to Dillon and Karen all week. Kevin discussed potentially going to Ika and Demetres to tell them that he is showing mercy and they had better fight for him next week. Kevin said he might flip this since the more he talks about it, the better it seems.
9:00-10:00 PM: Kevin joined Ika who told him that she understands this is a game and it’s his best move to put them up. Ika said there are no hard feelings. Kevin asked how he and Demetres are going to survive next week if Ika leaves. He said they will not. Ika focused on trying to get Kevin to realize that working with Demetres is his best bet after she leaves. She said she already told Demetres that he should work with Kevin if she goes. Kevin pointed out that the other five are really happy right now. Ika told Kevin she gets it if he doesn’t think that he can trust or beat the two of them. Ika continually reiterated that working with Demetres is Kevin’s best bet. Kevin said he will be the last returnee if Ika leaves, then Dillon will want him out. Ika said Karen will too. Kevin asked if Dre would nominate him. Ika said she would since she was planning on it this week. Kevin mentioned that he could take one of the five out and then the three of them could stick together. Ika said she is not going to tell Kevin to do that. She said she doesn’t want him to think that she is playing him. Kevin argued that it’s stupid for them to eat each other. Ika agreed but told Kevin that she gets it since they were in his position last week. Kevin said he needs time to think. He then went to the HoH room and said it is not good for his game to nominate Ika and Demetres. Kevin said they will fight for him if he saves them. Kevin again listed off Dillon, Dre, Jackie and Karen as people who are after him. Big Brother called Kevin to the diary room. Kevin said he cannot go since he doesn’t know what he is going to do. Kevin then went to Ika and Demetres to tell that he rethought it and thinks that he has to put them up. Ika said she understands and told Demetres and Kevin that their best bet for next week is to stick together.
10:00-11:00 PM: Feeds returned following the nomination ceremony. Kevin nominated Ika and Demetres for eviction. Dre, Demetres and Ika were in the bedroom talking about Ika and Demetres’ involvement in The Six. Ika said Neda accused her of telling Dre about the alliance even though she hadn’t. Once she got accused of it, Ika said she thought she should tell Dre about it. Demetres explained to Dre that Ika had more loyalty to Dre than to The Six, but they knew they had to take out someone from The Six before going over to Dre and William. Ika said they were in an alliance with The Six but she grew an emotional connection with Dre. Ika said they deflected whenever Dre’s name would come up. Ika told Dre that her actions proved she was loyal to Dre. Ika revealed that Kevin came to them five minutes before nominations to say he doesn’t want to do this, and even then she did not tell him what to do. Ika insisted that she has always had Dre’s back in this game. Ika said Dre unintentionally screwed her in this game with The Six, seeing as they knew that she cared about Dre more than she cared about them. Ika told Dre that they tried to stop Kevin from using the veto because it would have made Dre a target moving forward. Dre said she didn’t care about being a target. Ika said Dre will see that she did not trick her or play her. Dre said she doesn’t want to feel like Ika and Demetres are carrying her, so she is going to play a solo game now. Dre told Ika that she feels she did some sneaky stuff and then when it’s done to her she gets mad. Ika said she is not mad but she feels like she messed up Demetres’ game, which is what upsets her. Ika said she is trying to ensure that people evict her due to her behaviour this week. Ika left the room. Demetres then reiterated that Ika really did have Dre’s back. Dre let Demetres know that she wants to play by herself. Afterwards, Demetres told Ika that it’s easy for Dre to say she wants to play solo once they are on the block. Demetres added that they know Dre is not playing solo. He questioned if she is going to turn up, then answered no to that.
11:00-12:00 AM: Demetres told Ika that he is going to win HoH if he stays, then will flip the house around. Demetres said he cannot nominate Kevin. He said it could be Dre and William on the block. Ika asked if Demetres thinks that he can work with Dre, or if he is over it. Demetres said he no longer trusts Dre. Demetres said the only person he knows he cannot put up is Kevin. Ika asked if he is sure about that. She went on to say that he could nominate Kevin and William, leaving Dillon and himself as the last two big guys in the house. Ika thought that Dillon may then need Demetres. Demetres said his gut was telling him to nominate Kevin and William if Ika left, up until the earlier conversation with Kevin and Ika. Demetres said he wants Kevin to go because he is a good player. Ika said Demetres will not win the game if Kevin is there. They agreed to wait until after the veto competition to figure out the best route to take.
