Big Brother Canada 6 Day 6 - Rozina is evicted; Ryan wins HoH
March 8, 2018
8:00-9:00 PM: During tonight’s eviction episode, we found out that Johnny nominated Ali and Rozina for eviction. Hamza, Jesse, and Olivia were chosen to play in the veto competition. Johnny went on to win the Power of Veto. He decided to leave his nominations the same. Rozina was then evicted by a vote of 11-0. It was then time for the two gate crashers to enter the house. It was revealed that Merron and Veronica received the most votes. Arisa informed them that they cannot let their fellow houseguests know that they were voted in by Canada. She said it is up to them to come up with a story explaining why they are there. Merron and Veronica then entered the house through the diary room.
10:00-11:00 PM: When the live feeds launched, we found out that Ryan is the new HoH. Ryan spoke to Andrew, a clear house target, to let him know that he would never backdoor him but he may have to put him up. Andrew said he would rather not be put up at all. Ryan said there will be so much pressure on him to make the move that he will follow Andrew out the door if he doesn’t do it. Hamza spoke up to say that Ryan will be a target regardless of what he does, so he should take a shot. Hamza also said that Ryan should put him up instead of Andrew. Hamza’s logic behind that is that he would have a better shot at winning the veto than Andrew would. Erica then spoke to Andrew to apologize for knocking him out of the HoH competition. She explained that people said if someone doesn’t eliminate Andrew, they will be nominated. When Andrew asked who said that, Erica said everybody did. Andrew said he is so disappointed. He told Erica that she made it perfectly clear where she stands. Afterwards, Ali told Erica that this is good since Ryan will not be able to compete for HoH next week. Ali mentioned that they will all be going after the newbies, though Ryan would make himself the next target if he were to deviate from the plan this week. Next up, Erica spoke to Hamza who told her he was surprised that she took Andrew out of the competition. Erica told Hamza that Andrew was the one saying that Hamza wants Johnny out. Despite that, Hamza said that they need Andrew. Erica disagreed. She suggested that Hamza come to the side that doesn’t need Andrew. Hamza said he can’t because came into the house planning to be a lone wolf. He clarified that he will have Erica’s back and Johnny’s back since he gave them his word. Erica said Hamza will not be able to go through the game as a lone wolf. He argued that there is not much he can do since he is not single and he will not be able to mingle with the girls. Hamza said people like the two of them, Ryan, Will, and the newbies need to stick together. He mentioned that they are doing exactly what people did during Big Brother 19 by going with the house. Hamza added that others are there for summer camp and to hook up, as opposed to what he and Erica are there for. Hamza told Erica to look out for herself and for Johnny, because they will become the targets once he and Andrew are gone.
11:00-12:00 AM: Hamza spoke to Andrew to let him know that he has his back. He said he is going to go on the block for Andrew because he has a better shot at winning the veto. Andrew said it’s not happening. Hamza then asked Andrew if he would pick him to play in the veto competition if he were to draw the houseguest’s choice chip. Andrew said he wouldn’t even know who to pick at this point. Even when Hamza pointed out that they would both be safe if he uses the veto on Andrew, he could not get Andrew to commit to picking him. In the pantry, Ryan assured Johnny that he will be safe this week. Ryan said he cannot afford to backdoor Andrew. He mentioned that backdoor plans often don’t work out. They discussed that this move will be an opportunity for Ryan to show that he is not working with Andrew. Later, Ryan told Ali and Erica his theory that the two gate crashers have been listening to audio of their conversations. He said Merron told him he is happy that he will get to see pictures of his son Carter, yet he had never mentioned his son’s name to Merron. Ryan also brought up that they claimed they were picked out of the audience to stay for three days, but they already have a duffle bag full of clothing. Ryan believes that Merron and Veronica were there all along. While in the living room, Andrew asked Ryan to please not put him up. Ryan said he cannot tell Andrew that right now, but it doesn’t mean that it will remain that way permanently. Up in the bedroom, Ryan spoke to the cameras while alone. He said nobody had wanted to talk game with him but now they will have to. He explained that he may have to go along with what the house wants this week in order to keep his own game safe.
1:00-2:00 AM: Erica told Johnny that she loves Hamza but she cannot align with someone who goes around saying that they are a lone wolf and they don’t care about anybody in the game. Erica listed off Olivia, Jesse and Kaela as people that she feels good about. Johnny asked Erica for her thoughts on Derek. She said that she doesn’t know anything about him. Erica said she likes Veronica. Johnny said he does too. Johnny figures that the two of them are the only ones who feel that way. They discussed that the two new houseguests know a lot for people who just entered the house this evening. Erica admitted that she would be lying a lot if she were to enter the game this late.
2:00-3:00 AM: In the bathroom, Andrew brought up that he was informed the house has turned against him. Jesse said it sucks that it’s a mob mentality. Jesse told Andrew he likes that Ryan is now at the helm. Andrew said Ryan is going to do whatever the mob wants him to do. He acknowledged that Ryan was straight up with him about what the mob has been saying. When asked for his thoughts on the new houseguests, Andrew said he believes that it is in his best interest to befriend them. Andrew admitted that he stuck his neck out too far for someone that was leaving, though he questioned whether they are there to play the game or to pick off whoever doesn’t agree with the masses. Andrew asked Jesse who the ringleader is. Jesse told him that it would have to be a girl since they were not successful in flipping the house. Down in the kitchen, Hamza let Will know that he is going to put himself on the block. Will told Hamza that putting yourself up on the block is a really bad game move since pawns will go home. Hamza said he is not putting himself up as a pawn. He clarified that he is nominating himself so that he can play in the veto competition. Hamza pointed out that he is likely going on the block anyway if Andrew wins the veto. Hamza said he knows that Andrew is the target but the issue is that Andrew could always win the veto. Hamza said he would rather go home knowing that he tried than to go home by being backdoored. In the HoH room, Ryan discussed with Maddy that Andrew and Hamza are laying claim to him, saying that they have his vote, when they don’t. Ryan asked Maddy where she sits in the game. Maddy said she is floating, taking her time trying to figure out who she likes and who she can predict best. She mentioned that Kaela and Paras are her two favourite girls. Ryan thinks that Ali, Erica and Olivia are a solid three. Maddy agreed. As for the gate crashers, Maddy said she is less worried about Veronica than she is about Merron. She expects Veronica to make herself a target on her own. Ryan still believes that those two were watching them prior to entering the house. Before leaving, Maddy asked who Ryan would go after if Andrew and Hamza were off the table. He said he knows exactly who it would be. Maddy asked if it would be Olivia. Ryan confirmed that it would be. Maddy said that they are on the same page.
