Big Brother Canada 7 Day 48 - Cory is evicted; Adam wins HoH
April 18, 2019
8:00-9:00 PM: During the eviction episode, it was confirmed that Adam was the secret assassin who nominated Cory. Cory was evicted by a vote of 3-1-0. Anthony voted to evict Este. Arisa announced to the viewers that next Thursday is a double eviction.
9:00-10:00 PM: When feeds returned, we found out that Adam is the new HoH. Adam asked Dane what he thinks that he should do. Dane said he doesn’t know. He mentioned that he didn’t win that one and didn’t think that Adam should have won it either. Later, Kyra spoked to Adam about Anthony being angry. They wondered if it was all directed at them. Adam said he is probably pissed that he just lost Cory, almost won the HoH competition, and now he is a have-not. Kyra said they are kind of scared since Anthony wants to talk to them. They explained that Anthony is big and terrifying. Adam said there is no reason to be scared if you haven’t lied, since Anthony is not going to yell at them. Not long after, Anthony joined the two. He sat on the floor and told Kyra that he is going to whisper so that they don’t think that he is being dominant. Anthony pointed out that Kyra has been distant from him and that they move around to power every single week. Kyra said Anthony avoided them because they knew that they wanted Cory out last week. Anthony continued to call Kyra out for flip flopping, and he also said Kyra is not going to lie on his name. Anthony accused Kyra of wanting Adam and Dane out since early on, while Kyra claimed that Anthony planted seeds of doubt in their head. The back and forth continued with the whole house looking on. Kyra said they have Anthony figured out. They said Anthony plays with the strong players and then mentors the weak and vulnerable. Anthony responded by saying that Kyra definitely is weak. Kyra asked Anthony if it’s true that he was trying to get Sam out since the beginning of the game. Anthony said absolutely not. Kyra said Anthony remains purposely vague so that nothing can get back to him, all while he plants seeds of doubt to make people think. Anthony said he hasn’t touched the block yet because he has been honest with everyone. After the back and forth wrapped up, Anthony said to the cameras that “that was for you, Cory”. Adam, Damien and others consoled a crying Kyra afterwards.
11:00-12:00 AM: Damien told Dane he hopes that he isn’t going right back up on the block. Damien suggested that Este and Mark may be Adam’s nominees. Dane said he wouldn’t understand how Mark could escape this one. Damien said he was being honest when he told Adam that he would not go after him. Up in the HoH room, Mark spoke to Adam. Mark brought up that the guys had an an agreement last week that they would not put each other up. Adam pointed out that they also had an agreement that Mark wasn’t going to put him up. That being said, Adam said it’s about the Pretty Boys now. He talked about nominating Damien and Este, telling people that it’s all a plan to backdoor Mark. If the veto is won by one of the Pretty Boys, they would leave nominations the same. If a nominee won, Adam would then nominate Kyra. Mark agreed that it’s best not to put him up. He explained that it would only buy Adam two days since it would look silly when he is breaking a tie in his favour right after nominating him. Anthony joined the guys. Adam explained the plan. He said the Pretty Boys are going to the Final 4 together. Anthony encouraged Adam to enjoy his night and then they will talk through various scenarios tomorrow. Adam later went to Mark again to tell him that he is not going on the block. Kyra asked Anthony if they can at least be okay socially. Anthony assured them that they are okay. Anthony brought up that they have had a special bond since week two, and they became friends. Anthony claimed that he felt cheated on and took it personally. Kyra said they only said good things about Anthony until things came to their attention, including that Anthony was trying to turn Adam and Sam against them. The two continued to have a lengthy conversation, sharing their respective sides of the story in order to come to an understanding.
12:00-1:00 AM: Mark told Anthony he thinks that he would have put up Damien and Este, convinced Dane to use the veto, and then put up Adam had he won HoH. Anthony said he is loyal to him and he wants to see if anyone is willing to test the waters with Mark’s name. Anthony said he thinks that Adam should nominate Este and Kyra, promising Kyra that she is just a pawn. Later, Anthony told Dane that Adam doesn’t understand the game in a sense that he should have given him the HoH win. Anthony suggested that Adam is not thinking about jury votes. While Anthony told Dane that he would campaign for him in jury, he said he will not be doing the same for Adam. He added that there is much more to this game than winning competitions. Anthony told Dane he thinks that Este is very much capable of having conversations with people against him. Dane agreed. Anthony said he will come in and talk to her, and they will make a Final 3 with her if that’s what is necessary. Mark then broke up the talk.
1:00-2:00 AM: Adam spoke to Mark about a plan to stage an argument in which he will get heated and tell Mark that he is getting backdoored. Mark said they just all have to be on the same page so that they know what is being said. Adam said he will then bring in Damien and Este to tell them that he made a deal with Anthony and he is good with Dane and Kyra, so they have to go up as part of his plan. Dane offered to go on the block next to Este. Adam wasn’t receptive to the idea. Mark said that they should try to keep the boys off of the block. Adam reiterated that he will put Damien and Este on the block, sharing some information with them that will make them realize why they are still there. Anthony and Mark later spoke. Mark said he knows that Dane is loyal. He explained that Dane was open about his side alliance with Damien and Este and he also offered to go on the block once again. Anthony said Dane wants TV time and he wants a chance to win the PoV since he is safe anyway. Mark figures that Dane would use the veto on Este if she is nominated next to Damien, and then Kyra will go up. Anthony said Mark’s biggest threat right now is Este, so he is going to fix that. He let Mark know that he will come to him tomorrow.
