Big Brother Canada 7 Day 50 - Damien wins the Power of Veto
April 19, 2019
1:00-2:00 PM: Feeds went down at 1:39 for the veto player pick.
2:00-3:00 PM: Feeds returned at 2:18. The veto players are Damien, Este, Dane, Kyra and Mark. Anthony will be the host.
7:00-8:00 PM: Feeds went down at 7:23 for the veto competition.
10:00-11:00 PM: Feeds returned at 10:20 following the veto competition. Damien won the Power of Veto. In the HoH room, Adam and Dane discussed that Mark performed terribly in the competition. Dane said that Este is now going to have to go. Mark pitched to the Pretty Boys that he could go up but there also is an alternative that may be even better. He suggested that Dane could go on the block, then they could keep him unanimously and he would not lose Este’s jury vote by going against her. Anthony said that it will only work if they have some Golden Globe acting. Dane acted as though he was open to the idea throughout the conversation. Adam said he doesn’t want Dane to go up. He let Mark know that they can still nominate him but keep him. Mark said he didn’t want to put his trust in Kyra keeping him, which is what it would take if Damien and Dane are going to keep Este. Dane said Kyra is going to do whatever Adam tells them to do, but they can ponder the idea of nominating him. Adam said it will only work if they let Kyra know that they are acting and that Dane is not going home. Dane suggested bringing Kyra in to a Final 5. Kyra came by almost immediately after, and Anthony asked what they thought about going top five together. Kyra said yeah. Kyra brought up that they could split the votes so that Dane doesn’t lose Este’s jury vote. Dane then brought up the idea of putting him up instead of Mark. Kyra said they would vote to keep Dane 100%. Later, Dane let Mark know that he thinks it would be best if he and Adam approach Kyra for a Final 3, making Kyra feel more secure within their five. Dane told Mark to pass that info on to Anthony.
11:00-12:00 AM: Mark filled Anthony in on Dane’s plan to make a Final 3 deal with Adam and Kyra. The guys discussed that they have to hope that Damien doesn’t win HoH. Mark said good luck to him since it will be the three boys competing against him in a mental competition, implying that Dane would still be in the house if he goes on the block. Mark briefly hinted that Dane could go, but he said it’s too late for that. Anthony said it’s not but he acknowledged that it would be a risky play. Mark was surprised that he was able to look Dane in the face and convinced him that it’s best if he goes on the block. Anthony said he thought that it would be the best move too. Meanwhile, Dane and Kyra discussed that it would look really weird if Adam were to nominate Dane instead of Mark. They then talked to Adam. Dane said he should nominate Mark now that they have secured Kyra’s vote. Kyra agreed. Adam revealed that Mark is afraid of Kyra flipping last minute. Kyra said that they will talk to Mark. Before the talk wrapped up, Dane told Adam and Kyra that the three of them should go to the end together. Kyra then headed to the have-not room to talk to Anthony and Mark. They pointed out that it will look weird to see Adam nominate Dane. Mark said they will come up with a speech for Adam to use. Kyra opted against arguing with Mark about the plan. They both agreed that Este is leaving either way. Kyra did bring up that nominating Dane would involve a lot more lying, but Mark said that they will come up with stuff to say. Afterwards, Anthony told Kyra to think about who really has their back and is talking highly about them behind their back in order to have made this all happen. Anthony said Mark will want Kyra to stay since he wants them to stay, and those who want Kyra out will continue to be taken out. Kyra apologized for having doubted Anthony. In the kitchen, Adam and Dane briefly discussed that it does not make sense for Dane to go on the block. Kyra then reported back to Dane about their conversation with Anthony and Mark. Kyra said Mark is just being paranoid. Dane said he needs to grow a set.
12:00-1:00 AM: Kyra told Adam about Mark going on and on about why it makes sense to nominate Dane. Adam said Mark is only looking out for himself. Adam said he will not be putting Dane on the block. Adam talked about how Damien would freak out, Este would be pissed and immediately know that she is leaving, and then he would have to come up with a reason as to why he nominated Dane. Kyra said Mark needs to put some trust in them if he wants to be in the Final 5 with them. Adam asked Kyra if they were expecting all of this to happen today. Kyra said no. They admitted that they thought they guys had made a Final 4 deal when they walk in, just before being asked about the Final 5 deal. Kyra asked Adam how he feels about Dane’s Final 3 idea. Kyra said they feel good about it but it’s up to Adam. Adam said he thinks that it is the best chance for them to get to the end.
