BBCAN3 - Bobby Hlad Exit Interview

May 16, 2015

Do you regret being so loyal to the Chop Shop for the majority of your game, and is there anyone that you wish you would have aligned with instead?

Bobby: I actually don’t regret being so loyal to the Chop Shop. I think it actually saved me a few weeks more than I could have been here. On Zach’s HoH, if he didn’t think I was so loyal to the Chop Shop, I probably would have been backdoored or Bruno would have been backdoored. I’m not going to say I regret being so loyal to the Chop Shop, cause I actually think it really, really helped me in this game. As far as someone I should have aligned with, Kevin…great competitor, great social game. He was on the side with the showmances, so he would have been great numbers to work with. When we were on the block together we really separated and lost touch. After that, Kevin and I really never talked game or got along. I would say just trying to get closer with Kevin and maybe even Sarah earlier in the game. The first time I talked game with Sarah was a couple of days before JP left. I knew that was pretty late and knew she would never trust me over how much she trusted Britt, just because it had been so long until we talked game. It’s hard to maintain a relationship that you started Day 35 in the house. So I’d say getting closer with Sarah and Kevin would be the two things.

In terms of your jury vote, will your vote be based on gameplay or based on personal feelings?

Bobby: It’s obviously gameplay. I love the game so much I would never thrown in personal feelings. It would ruin the game, it would ruin Big Brother. My vote goes strictly to the person who play the best game. Bruno could be up against Pili, and if Pili had played a better game I would still vote for Pili. Not to take anything away from Pili right now, but she is kind of playing a more easy, relaxed game. I won’t say I wouldn’t want to vote for her in the Final 2, cause there is still a lot of game left, but right now it seems like she was relying on the showmances too much and she was floating a little bit. Love her to death but she needs a couple big game moves or else she might not get my vote in the Final 2. Right now, I’d say my vote is strictly on gameplay though. No personal feelings at all.

If you could pick any of the remaining houseguests to be in the Final 2 at this point, which two would you pick and why?

Bobby: I would probably pick the two people going head to head against each other that I thought were playing the best Big Brother game. Those two people would be Sarah and Godfrey. I would love to hear the speeches go back and forth against each other…why they deserved the $100,000. They both plead a very strong case. They both played a really good game. I would love to see two really great people in the Final 2. It never really happens, cause someone always brings the weakest player to the Final 2. Obviously it’s the smartest gameplay. I don’t think it will ever be Sarah and Godfrey (in Final 2) but, if it was, that would be ideal, that would be amazing TV and it would be so just. Whoever won, I would be happy with that.

Since making your way to the jury house, have you learned anything interesting or surprising that you didn’t know about while in the Big Brother house?

Bobby: Yes, I learned a ton of stuff. I had no idea about the Newport alliance, about the Fortress. I didn’t realize how much different alliances everyone had, especially JP. I didn’t realize that Kevin was a poker player. I thought that was so cool, so neat. We definitely had some fun poker games around the house. That was definitely some interesting bits of information for sure. The one main thing I didn’t realize was how much I had Zach and Ashleigh until Kevin told me how much they trusted me. I must have gained their trust back after the JP vote, which I thought was almost completely not possible but that’s what Kev says and that’s what JP says. They did not want me out. They thought that I would actually use my veto, that did not exist, on them. That actually gives me some relief to think that I actually convinced Zach that I was going to take him to the end, which is absolutely not true at all.

What is the atmosphere like in the jury house? Is everyone decompressing and enjoying themselves, or has the game continued on in there?

Bobby: The game has not continued on in here. Everyone is great losers. There is no sore losers in here. It’s really nice to be able to relax and connect with people on a real level. It’s super fun to talk about stuff, talk about all of your secrets, and have a good laugh about it. Like Willow was saying, talk about everyone and how they screwed up. We have common reasons why we are here. We all did not play the best. We tried our best and it’s nice to just decompress. It feels better that you are here with a bunch of people that lost and made mistakes too, because it makes your mistakes not feel as bad. It’s a great atmosphere. I love everything here. Weather has been beautiful. I’m loving it!
