BBCAN3 - Bruno Ielo Exit Interview

May 14, 2015

You often said that Sarah is “poison”. If she managed to get her way to the Final 2, is there any way that you would vote for her, and why or why not?

Bruno: I will tell you right now, if Sarah does manage to get her way to the Final 2, there is a very high chance that she does get my vote. She was a great player. I respect the game, I respect her play, and to me it would be disrespectful to the game to not vote for her for personal reasons. I actually have nothing against her. She had a similar game to mine. She is a very, very smart and very good player. I hold no grudges. Nothing against her, and absolutely if she does make the Final 2 there is a good chance I will vote for her to get that money. Absolutely.

This season has been filled with twists. Do you feel that the twists limited your ability to play the game too much, or are you of the opinion that it’s Big Brother and anything is fair game?

Bruno: You know what, this is Big Brother. The motto is you expect the unexpected, and I’m a fair believer of that. This is a game. We all know what we signed up for. They are going to throw twists our way. The key and the trick is how you deal with it. You have to be prepared for them and you never know what is coming this. People were always guessing “this is the week of a double eviction” and it never came. When it finally came, it was a triple eviction. You can’t prepare for that, so you kind of have to roll with the punches and just hope for the best. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Last night’s twist obviously didn’t work in my favour but, you know what, they did a good move and my hat is off to them. Great job.

What exactly happened to your thumb and is it still injured or were you playing that up in order to appear less threatening in competitions than you really were?

Bruno: That’s a great question. You know what, on Day 3, 4, 5...something like that in the first week, Zach and myself were playing football in the backyard with a roll of toilet paper. I was egging him on and said “throw me some heat, throw me some heat” and he threw me a good one and it actually jammed my thumb. No I’m not faking it. It is real. I wish it wasn’t hurt but, I’ll tell you right now, my plan was if it did heal in two weeks I was going to milk it for another week or so. I was going to milk it. The problem is it is still injured and I never even had that chance to milk it. So yeah, it is injured, it is hurt. I did something with my ligaments and my tendons. I’m not 100% sure exactly what happened. I’ll have to get it checked out when this is all said and done, but yeah it definitely is injured. At the same time, I don’t think it affected my game that much. Comp wise, it was pretty fair. I can’t blame that on me losing competitions. Fair is fair. It happened. It is what it is.
