BBCAN3 - Jordan Parhar Exit Interview
April 23, 2015
Who do you feel is more responsible for your eviction, you for volunteering to go on the block and for throwing the veto or Zach for winning the veto and not using it on you?
Jordan: I think it’s about 50/50. I’m an idiot for volunteering to go on the block and for throwing the veto competition but, at the same time, I had so much trust in Zach. All he had to do was use the Power of Veto on me. If he really wanted to go after Godfrey this week, all he had to do was put up another pawn in my stead. Just use, I don’t know, Pili or something like that. It would have been an easy vote. Godfrey would have left the game and I would still be in there with Zach and we would be doing our thing. Instead, I’m sitting out here talking to you guys right now and he is in there probably crapping his pants.
As a superfan, can you appreciate this move? Also, what are some blindsides from previous seasons that you would compare it to?
Jordan: Yeah, I’m a huge superfan as I’m sure you guys know. I have been watching this show since Big Brother 2 back in 2001. I would rather go out with making the stupidest move in the history of Big Brother Canada…I’d rather do that than be someone who everybody forgets and was voted out 2nd or 5th or 7th and didn’t really make an impact on the game. I can appreciate it from that perspective. I would probably compare it to Dustin’s blindside in Big Brother 8. I think there is that sheer shock that was on his face. I sort of felt that last night. Also, Marcellas in Big Brother 3 when he doesn’t use the veto on himself, and then Jason votes him out after it’s a tie. He was just so shocked. He had no idea, so I definitely compare it to those two blindsides for sure.
Speaking of Jason, you and Sarah had your “Jason and Danielle” alliance. How serious were you about working with her, and do you have any regrets about not being more upfront with her when she began questioning you about your knowledge of the Chop Shop?
Jordan: Yeah, 100%. I think that is totally what led to (my eviction) and was a big factor in me going home this week. If I had been more upfront with Sarah and told her about the Chop Shop and that I knew everything and that I had been working Zach, being straight up with her, she probably would have kept me around. Instead, I didn’t know what to say. I was just so emotional after the whole thing. I didn’t know who to trust, what to say, so I just kept my cards close to the vest. She called me out on it and I think after that she knew that she couldn’t trust me. In hindsight, I should have been like “Yeah, you know what, let’s go after Zach this week. I’m done with him, this is over". I could have been like “Let’s work with Bobby, Bruno Brittnee…we can run this game together”, but ultimately it didn’t pan out. Initially I was loyal to Sarah. She just wasn’t my number one.
