BBCAN3 - Zach Oleynik Exit Interview

You campaigned for Ashleigh's and Brittnee’s votes over the past few days. Had those two kept you, would you have remained loyal to them and what would your game plan have been moving forward?

Zach: Ashleigh I would have been loyal to. Brittnee? Absolutely not. I would have tried to get her out as fast as I could. Had they kept me, I probably would not have been loyal to the both of them. My game plan moving forward would have been…I just would have had to win out. I would know that people wouldn’t want to get into the Final 3 with me, so moving forward I knew that I was going to have that HoH or veto, so just continue to win out essentially. I would try to get into that Final 3 with some people that I know I could beat. I thought I could make a case against anyone at that point. I didn't want Brittnee in the Final 3 with me, so I would have made sure she was out. Anyone else, moving forward, I was happy to roll in with because I thought I could beat them.

With regards to your jury vote, will you vote based solely on gameplay or will you also involve personal feelings?

Zach: As a fan, I hated when people would vote personally and not based on game. My vote will be based mainly on gameplay and a little bit of personal feelings with Ashleigh, but I think she would deserve it if she could get herself to the end. Her case if she gets to the Final 2 will be very strong, cause that will mean she has won two vetoes in a row and she is going to have to win a veto or HoH in this next week, and then she will have to take herself in the Final 3. I think that if she can do that in the end of this game then she will deserve to win over Sarah or Godfrey. Brittnee…that would be a difficult situation, cause Brittnee has also made a lot of good moves. That would be a tough one for me but I think I would lean towards Ashleigh.

You often gave Sarah credit for being the mastermind behind Brittnee’s moves. Did you do that for strategical purposes or do you truly believe that Sarah deserves more credit than Brittnee does?

Zach: Interesting, because I think that Sarah was really good. She kind of puppeted Brittnee’s plays and I know that Brittnee was an emotional player. At the same time, Brittnee deserves credit because she made those moves and she won those comps. At the start I gave a lot of credit to Sarah for making those moves and working those plays, kind of being the mastermind, but I’m starting to realize now that Brittnee maybe deserves more credit than Sarah. She is the one winning the comps, she is the one doing them and maybe she deserves more credit than I was giving her. I guess I will see when I get out. I don’t really know. They both kind of compliment each other and right now they are looking pretty good.

You told Ashleigh that you were 100% on board with the Diaper Alliance. Would you have been willing to let Kevin get to the Final 4, or would you have wanted him out sooner and why?

Zach: I would not have let Kevin get to the Final 4, the reason being…Pili is faking to punch me in the arm right now (Pilar laughs)…the reason being that Kevin was an unbelievable player and very, very smart. At around 5 or 6, if I had the opportunity to take the shot I would have. It was in my head. We never got to that point but yes, if I had the chance I would take that shot.
