Celebrity Big Brother 2 Day 9
January 24, 2019
10:00-11:00 AM: Tamar checked in with Jonathan to ask how Dina is voting. He said that she will be voting to evict Kandi. Jonathan said that the girls all have to vote to evict Kandi. Jonathan then spoke to Dina to get reassurance that she will be voting to evict Kandi. He pointed out that Ryan, Joey and himself are protecting her, and she could have been on the block multiple times if not for that. Dina said she knows. She brought up that they have known each other for years as well, and he is like a son to her. Joey joined them. Dina let him know that she will be voting to evict Kandi.
11:00-12:00 PM: While in the gym, Kato asked Natalie if everything is fine. She said she thinks so. Kato told Natalie that he and Tom are committed as long as Lolo and Natalie are. Natalie confirmed that they are. Kato asked about Ricky as well, and they determined that it should be a vote of 5-2 to evict Jonathan. Kato said he is hoping that the Final 4 will be Lolo, Tom, Natalie and himself. While Natalie didn’t say the same in return, she did say that the four will keep each other safe if they happen to win HoH this week. Afterwards, Natalie filled Lolo in on her talk with Kato. They discussed that the votes should be locked in. Elsewhere, Jonathan told Ryan that he has been asked some questions in the diary room that have made him nervous, particularly about Dina’s vote. That being said, he still believes that they have the votes. When Dina came by, Jonathan asked her if she knows who everyone else is voting for. She said no. Ryan said he asked the girls about their votes, and they have all said that they will be voting to evict Kandi. Meanwhile, Kato let Kandi know that she is safe and that he and Tom have her back. Kandi thanked Kato.
12:00-1:00 PM: Kato told Tom about his brief conversation with Kandi. Tom said they need to be careful that they don’t get Tamar to start working against them since they have Kandi on their side. Tom said he likes Tamar too, plus they can stay out of it and let those two take each other out. Tom wondered why the guys are thinking, seeing as they don’t seem to be too concerned about the votes. Kato wasn’t sure either. Tom said that scares him, since this could all be a big bluff. Tom said he doesn’t plan to have any game conversations today, because everything seems good.
1:00-2:00 PM: Tamar brought up Ricky lying yesterday by saying that he was not in the room with Kandi following the veto ceremony. Natalie said she doesn’t think it matters if those two are working together. Tamar said it matters if he is lying about it. Tamar then questioned why they are asking Kato and Tom for safety when it should be the other way around given that Lolo and Natalie are physically strong, and she is borderline psychic. Tamar said that they should not need safety from those two. Both Lolo and Natalie agreed that it’s not a big deal to ask them for safety. Tamar said she feels as though they are being taken advantage of and being manipulated by the guys. Tamar said she is willing to have another conversation with Kandi if it means that they can get together and get the guys out. Natalie said it’s on Tamar to decide if that is going to happen. Tamar said her one on one conversations with Kandi aren’t going anywhere. It was agreed on that they could talk to Kandi as a group.
3:00-4:00 PM: While up in the gym, Joey let Ricky know that he will be good for he next few weeks if he doesn’t vote to evict. Joey explained that he, Jonathan and Ryan would all have Ricky’s back. After Ricky left, Joey and Ryan discussed that Ricky’s energy was not good. They brought up that he didn’t say anything when Joey talked about voting to keep him, aside from that it would be nice to have three people protecting him. Joey said Ricky is hot and cold, and you never know which person you are going to get with him. He thinks that it comes off as rude even though Ricky doesn’t mean for it to.
4:00-5:00 PM: Ricky spoke to Kandi about the plan to evict Jonathan. He said Tamar will probably be the only one who votes to evict Kandi. Kandi said she is a bit shocked that Ryan nominated Joey. Ricky said he told him to do it. Ricky explained that he suggested it in part to protect certain such as Kandi. Downstairs, Tom spoke to the cameras. He began to doubt whether or not voting to evict Jonathan is the best idea. Kato joined him. Tom asked if he thinks that they are making the right move. Kato said yeah. Tom wanted to run through various scenarios to determine what the next move would be depending on each of their potential moves this week. Tom pointed out that they could get Jonathan on their side if they keep him, then they could work alongside Jonathan, Ryan, Lolo and Natalie. Kato said he is not keeping Jonathan, as you would be dead the next week if you were to do that.
6:00-7:00 PM: Feeds returned at 6:50 after being down for nearly two hours.
7:00-8:00 PM: Lolo and Natalie agreed that they are still on board to evict Jonathan. Lolo said she trusts Kato and Tom more than she trusts Jonathan and Ryan at this point. Natalie threw Ricky into the mix as someone she trusts as well. Tamar argued that Jonathan is not a threat. She is still focused on getting Kandi out. Ricky joined the girls. Natalie, referring to Jonathan playing her, said “once you play me once, bye”. Tamar questioned why they think that Jonathan is a threat. Ricky said the pair of Jonathan and Ryan is a threat, which Lolo and Natalie agreed with.
8:00-9:00 PM: Tamar continued to talk to Ricky about Kandi being dangerous in the game. While Ricky acknowledged that she is dangerous, he said she doesn’t have the kind of smarts needed in this game. Tamar argued that Jonathan will not come after anyone in their room (Lolo, Natalie, Ricky and Tamar). Tamar stressed that this is not personal, and it is simply her playing a game. Lolo and Natalie joined the conversation and said that they plan to evict Jonathan. Ricky asked if they can agree to go after Kandi next. Natalie agreed. Lolo mentioned that Ryan could be an option as well. Tamar said she thinks that they are making a mistake by leaving Kandi in the game, but she will respect whatever decision they make. Tamar questioned where Jonathan comes into play in all of this. Lolo said he is the one in Ryan’s ear. Ricky added that Ryan is not a player if he doesn’t have Jonathan. Tamar proposed getting rid of Joey since there is no difference between Jonathan and Joey. Ricky said that’s not true. He asked why she wants to keep Jonathan. Tamar said it’s because she doesn’t understand why they want to get rid of Jonathan. Ricky reassured Tamar that he will put Kandi on the block and stab her in the back if he wins HoH. Afterwards, Lolo and Ricky spoke to Kato and Tom about the plan for the vote. They all agreed that they are still voting to evict Jonathan. Kato and Tom had earlier discussed testing Ricky by seeing how he reacts to them asking if they should name their alliance. When they brought up the idea, Ricky said “no name”. He told Kato and Tom that the two of them should have a name, especially since Kato used the veto on Tom. Once Kato and Tom were alone, Tom voiced his frustration with Ricky. He took Ricky’s response to mean that he is not in an alliance with them. Tom said Ryan would be loyal to them if they offered an alliance to him and flipped the vote to save Jonathan. Kato was not sold on the idea, but he did say that Lolo and Natalie will side with them in whatever they decide to do. Kato suggested talking to Ricky instead. Tom didn’t think that that would work, as he expects that Ricky would get defensive. They agreed to think things over for a bit before deciding whether or not to proceed with a vote flip.
10:00-11:00 PM: Kato let Tom know that he has done a lot of thinking and he has not been swayed. Tom said Ricky is probably the smartest guy in the house, given that he is a Chinese medicine doctor. Kato suggested that they could talk to Ricky. Tom didn’t think it was a good idea. He preferred that they run it by Lolo and Natalie before they do anything. Kato was fine with that idea, but Tom explained that if they let the girls in on it and they are wanting to flip the vote, they have no choice but to do it at that point. Kato was still not convinced that it would be the right move to keep Jonathan.
11:00-12:00 AM: Out in the yard, Tom spoke to Kandi, Ricky and Ryan about his time on Celebrity Apprentice. Ricky asked if the show benefitted Tom’s career. Tom said yeah. Ricky then asked Tom to share his bit that he got from the show. Tom said that it’s hard to do stand up comedy without an audience. He also said that he doesn’t feel like getting too political. Ricky said he is confused since Tom does this in front of audiences. Tom said it’s really polarizing. Ricky said he shouldn’t be a comedian then, cause comedians are the ones who can do anything. Kandi said the world is so sensitive now. Ricky said Tom is just scared. Tom said that’s not how it works, and he told Ricky to go play a game of football. Kandi said Tom doesn’t feel comfortable with doing comedy at the moment. Ricky said it sounds like a BS excuse. Tom attempted to explain that you need a crowd to feed off of in order to do a routine. Ricky said he could find so many holes in Tom’s analogy. Ricky added that he assumed comedians didn’t need things to be funny. Tom said you need a crowd to be funny. He also admitted to not wanting to talk about the President. Ricky said Tom doesn’t want to come on TV and be himself, which is right, and he doesn’t have to defend himself. Ricky told Tom he wanted to have a real conversation but he should have known better than to expect that when coming on a show with celebrities. When Tom went inside, he said he doesn’t like when people f*ck with him. Tom let Lolo and Natalie know that he wants to talk to them later. Tom retold the story of what happened in the yard, as well as what happened earlier today when he felt disrespected by Ricky.
12:00-1:00 AM: Tom warned Kato that he is going to move forward with the plan to flip the vote. He said it’s personal now after what Ricky did to him. Kato said Tom is too emotional to do this right now. Tom said he wanted to do it before, and it’s not simply about what just happened. Tom then spoke to Lolo while Kato filled Natalie in on Tom’s plan. Kato made it clear that he has not agreed to this. Lolo let Tom know that she is not feeling the concept of flipping to work with someone who tried to backdoor her twice. When Tom proposed going to Jonathan and Ryan to reveal that Jonathan is leaving unless they save him, Lolo was not on board with the plan. Lolo said Jonathan and Ryan have not let her in on the plan once, and they were quick to throw her under the bus. Lolo said Jonathan will take whatever deal is proposed to him, then he will go back on it. Lolo headed downstairs to talk to Natalie, Ricky and Tamar. Lolo told Ricky that Tom is now wanting to change the entire plan because of Ricky upsetting him. Ricky said he will talk to Tom since he wasn’t trying to do that. Either way, Ricky said they don’t need Tom’s vote.
1:00-2:00 AM: Jonathan and Ryan checked in with Lolo, Natalie and Ryan. The guys were confronted about trying to make a guys alliance, plus not keeping the girls in the loop. Lolo asked if there is any truth to Ryan wanting to backdoor her. Ryan admitted to having mentioned it. He claimed that it was more so as aa joke, or else he would have done it when he had the chance. As for the guys alliance, Jonathan explained that it was never a thing. Jonathan and Ryan stressed that they are on board with the original five person alliance. The group discussed the miscommunication that took place. Jonathan and Ryan said they will do a better job of keeping the girls in the loop moving forward. Ryan apologized to Lolo for what he said. After the guys left, Lolo and Natalie made it clear that they still want Jonathan to go, while Tamar continued to push for Kandi to go.
