Big Brother: Over The Top Day 13 - Shane wins the Power of Veto
October 10, 2016
10:00-11:00 AM: America’s Nominee was revealed. Monte was chosen and joined Danielle and Shane on the block. The veto players were then selected. Alex pulled Scott’s chip and then pulled her own, giving her the chance to choose a houseguest. Alex chose Shelby to compete. While Shelby ran over to the couches prior to the nomination reveal, she said she is going to the “normal couch”. Afterwards, Jason commented on it and questioned why she is wearing a t-shirt and a dress at the same time. Shelby said she is right there. Jason said he is saying it in front of her like she does with her little comments. Jason said Shelby’s comment was made because she did not want to sit with him, Justin or Kryssie. Shelby said she didn’t want to sit on the orange couch, which is the couch for the nominees. Jason told Shelby that they all know she is so negative and passive aggressive. In the storage room, Alex told Morgan that Monte is not like by America and that is going to mean Morgan is not liked by America. Alex also thought that it could means she herself is not liked either. Morgan said Monte has to be careful about what he says. Alex said he makes comments that he thinks make him look like a conservative gentleman but it doesn’t come across like that. Up in the HoH room, Alex, Monte, Scott and Shelby discussed that they just need one of them to win the veto and use it on Monte, then they are good this week. Options were discussed for a pawn in the event that Shane or Danielle win the veto. When Neeley’s name was thrown out there, Monte said he recommends not nominating her because he is screwed if he loses her vote. Alex mentioned it would be nice if Whitney volunteered. Scott said they need her vote. Monte suggested nominating Justin. Monte expect that America will vote him out. Alex told Monte that’s why he has to be nice to Justin. Monte didn’t want to count on Justin’s vote. He thinks Neeley is his best bet. Alex thinks they would have to target Shane over Danielle in order to keep Monte safe, since Neeley will not vote Danielle out. Alex said she could nominate Kryssie as a pawn but Kryssie would freak out. Monte figured Shane would vote Kryssie out over him. Alex said she doesn’t want Kryssie to go. Monte said it would save him. Alex then told Monte she doesn’t trust Shane and thinks that he could easily vote Monte out. Monte said he could see that happening. Scott told the group that they have to stick to voting Danielle out no matter what if Shane wins the veto, in case Danielle is not liked by America and gets voted out by them.
11:00-12:00 PM: Down in the bathroom, Shane said America doesn’t like Monte. Jason said of course not, since they don’t like Monte and they are America. Justin said he hopes everything goes well and they can send Monte out this week. Justin said he would be the happiest man alive if so. Justin told Kryssie, Neeley and Shane that he said from Day 1 that they have got to get Monte out of there. Justin explained that he got a vibe from Monte from the start. Danielle said America did their job and now it’s time for her to do hers. Kryssie said she is so excited that America gave them a shot. Danielle said America sees everything, so Monte can keep running his mouth about her while she is not around. Danielle said Monte is claiming America doesn’t think he is an evil person and just nominated him because he was HoH last week. Danielle said America doesn’t like Monte. Up in the HoH room, Whitney asked why America hates Monte. Scott said he thinks it is just because he targeted Jason last week. Morgan said it’s that and what happened this week, even though it has died down some since Saturday. Whitney said it has never even crossed her mind that Monte said anything. Morgan said she didn’t hear the homophobic comment.
12:00-1:00 PM: Jeff entered the house. He informed the houseguests that he is there to host the veto competition. The houseguests showed Jeff around the house. Jeff explained that they will go over the rules for the veto competition at 12:45 and then compete at 1:00. Jeff asked Shelby “what’s with you?”. Jason replied that’s just her face. Shelby said it’s her game face. Jason again said it’s just her face.
1:00-2:00 PM: The veto competition took place. It was a golf themed competition with punishments. There were four different holes. Each hole was assigned a different ticket value. You had to sink a hole in one in order to receive that number of tickets. The Power of Veto was worth 60 tickets. Shane won the Power of Veto. Shelby’s punishment is that she has to wear a caddy costume and carry golf clubs around for the week. Monte cannot compete in the next veto competition. Alex will be given a disadvantage in her next HoH competition. Scott will be stuck in a sand trap outside for the next 24 hours. Danielle will have to retrieve golf balls from the pool whenever Big Brother instructs her to.
2:00-3:00 PM: In the kitchen, Whitney was explaining that she didn’t like how people were being disrespectful and sticking their tongue out at people during the competition. Danielle said the person she did that to has been very disrespectful to her and it is what it is because America sees how they really are. Danielle said America may not like what she did but they see what this person is saying about her behind her back. Monte spoke up, knowing that she was talking about him, and said she is pegging him to be something he is not. Danielle told Monte not to speak to her. Danielle said Monte has run his mouth enough already and America sees his true colours. Monte said he defended his character. Danielle told Monte to grow up because he is talking about her behind her back. Danielle told Monte that America sees what he is doing and that’s why he is a have-not and on the block. She added that she cannot wait for him to walk out the door because he does not deserve to be there. Monte bought up that he has nothing against Justin. Danielle pointed out he said that Justin stole his clothes. Monte said he would like to let America judge them. He told Danielle that he is looking out for her. Danielle said if he is looking out for her, he should leave the room. Shane left the room. Up in the HoH room, Morgan told told Alex and Shelby that Whitney got upset because Danielle kept sticking her tongue out at Monte. Alex said Danielle thinks she is God’s gift to earth and thinks she never does any wrong. Alex told the girls that she is fine going out next week knowing that she tried to get Danielle out. Alex considered threatening Neeley or Justin that they will go up if they don’t agree to vote Danielle out. Scott said he thinks they could convince Shane to vote Kryssie out. Scott told Alex that she wouldn’t have to worry about putting Kryssie up since Kryssie is not a competition threat and would be unlikely to get a chance to come back after her. Monte said he is willing to go full steam after Danielle, letting America choose between the two of them.
3:00-4:00 PM: Alex, Morgan, Shelby, Scott and Monte continued to go over their options. They decided that nominating Kryssie is the best option. They discussed having Monte approach Shane in hope of getting him to evict Kryssie, making him think that she is the target. Morgan, Shelby, Scott and Whitney would still vote Danielle out, forcing a tie and allowing Alex to evict Danielle. Scott told Monte that Shane needs to know his vote is the difference between Monte staying or going. Scott said he regrets listening to Shane last week when he went along with him to vote Cornbread out. Meanwhile, Danielle and Jason discussed their plan in the bedroom. They talked about making a deal with Alex that they will vote her way if she nominates Scott, letting her decide if she prefers to have Monte or Scott leave this week.
4:00-5:00 PM: Alex, Shelby and Whitney talked things over upstairs. Rather than have Monte try to get Shane’s vote, they thought that the better option may be trying to convince Justin to vote with them. Whitney feels that she is close to Justin and could play on the fact that Danielle was acting the way she did during the veto competition. She was going to go to Justin with an emotional pitch and then Alex would hit him with the strategic pitch. Alex said they can offer Justin safety on behalf of their whole side, then Justin will be protected on both ends because he can blame his vote on America.
7:00-8:00 PM: Monte spoke to Shane and told him that he fought for him all week, telling Alex not to nominate the showmance. Shane said he believes him. Monte said they don’t want to touch Justin this week but he thinks they may nominate Kryssie. Monte went on to say that he thinks they know Danielle is staying and she has too much power and too many votes to go this week. Monte said he isn’t sure that anyone will vote for Danielle especially if they put Kryssie up. Afterwards, Shane told Danielle that Monte thinks they are going to put Kryssie up. Shane said Monte is going home. Shane then let Kryssie know that Monte said they want to put her up. Neeley was present at the time and said that would piss her off. Kryssie brought up how Alex shook her hand and promised that she would not put her up. Danielle explained her plan to Kryssie and Neeley. She said they will tell Alex that they have the votes to get Monte out regardless, but they are willing to vote Scott out if she puts him up. Shane said they have to do it as a group so that Alex sees that they are not joking around. If Scott does go up, Danielle said they will still vote Monte out. Once that happens and Alex’s side has voted against Scott, Danielle thinks that Scott would then come to their side. Monte joined Kryssie and Shane. He said he has no idea who the replacement nominee will be. Kryssie explained to Monte that his only hope is to have Scott go up next to him. Kryssie told Monte that Neeley will be pissed if she (Kryssie) goes up. Shane reiterated that Scott is the best option. Kryssie let Monte know that America sees he is making a point to avoid the people that he does not understand. She said making Monte a have-not was their way of saying that they don’t support what he is doing. She told Monte that he has shot himself in the foot without even realizing it.
8:00-9:00 PM: Monte spoke to Alex. He let her know that the other side is saying they will vote Scott out over him. Alex said she does not feel comfortable nominating Scott. Alex told Monte that their two options are to try to trick Shane into voting Kryssie out or to get Justin to vote with them. Monte said Justin is going to vote against him. Both Alex and Monte agreed that Shane’s focus seems to have shifted to Scott and it’s unlikely that he will vote Kryssie out. Alex said she doesn’t want to have to put Scott up but she wants to save Monte. Alex admitted it concerns her that she could put Scott up, the other side could lie, Monte still goes home and then she is down to just a couple of allies.
9:00-10:00 PM: Alex told Monte that Shane is playing everyone, he is a snake and a liar, so he is probably going to vote Monte out. Alex again said she really does not want to nominate Scott. Alex told Monte that she could see Danielle convincing the house to keep Scott and get rid of him. Monte said Shane told him that he would keep him over Scott. Alex asked why Shane would do anything to help her game when he is out to get her. She also questioned what Shane was supposed to say to Monte’s face with regards to voting for him. Alex told Monte that if he speaks to Shane, he has to make it clear that she does not know who she is putting up yet. Alex doesn’t want Shane running back to Kryssie. Monte eventually told Alex that putting Scott up is the cowardly move. Monte said he is not a coward. He told Alex not to nominate Scott. Monte suggested that they go after Danielle and then at least he went down swinging if he goes this week.
10:00-11:00 PM: Whitney headed up to the HoH room and let the group know that someone told Kryssie she is going up. Alex said Shane must have told her. Monte said he didn’t tell Shane. Shelby said he did. Alex told them that Shane cannot be trusted. Monte said Justin is their only hope. Monte said Shane is dead to him and that’s why he is going to try to get Danielle out. Monte discussed approaching Neeley about giving him a sympathy vote. He would say that the girls are now planning on voting with the house, so he does not want to go out with a unanimous vote. Alex spoke to Justin, saying she wants to see where his head is at. Alex let Justin know that Monte knows he is done, so he would do whatever Justin wants if he ends up staying. Alex explained that Justin could vote whichever way he wants, then blame it on America. Alex said Justin would then be protected by both sides. Justin said he is going to vote Monte out. He said Monte stresses him out. Justin assured Alex that he is not going after her no matter what happens this week. Justin reiterated that he wants to get Monte out. Alex said she respects that but wanted to let him know that he has options. Jason then broke up the conversation. He told Alex that if she puts up Scott, they will not vote Monte out. If she puts up anyone else, Jason said they have the votes to get Monte out. Kryssie, Neeley and Shane joined in on the conversation. Alex admitted it’s hard for her to know if they will actually vote Scott out or if she is being played. Shane said they will be fine if Alex nominates Scott. Shane explained that Scott acts like your friend but then talks so much crap. Jason added that Monte will be weaker next week since he cannot play in the veto competition. Alex said she needs them to look her in the eye and guarantee her that Scott will go if she puts him up. Kryssie said she wants Scott out. Jason said none of them have a problem with Morgan or Whitney, so it’s Monte and Shelby that they will be after. After everyone left the HoH room, Alex said she doesn’t want to work with them and doesn’t trust them. However, she said if sending Scott home will lead to the group protecting her, it could be the logical move.
11:00-12:00 AM: Alex filled Morgan, Shelby and Whitney in on her conversations. She said Justin was a bust and said he is voting Monte out. Alex said they are screwed this week. Shelby said they should still go for it and hope that America votes their way. Alex doesn’t think that they will. Alex asked the girls who they would rather lose out of Monte and Scott. Whitney said they could put up Scott and the others would still vote Monte out. Shelby said they would then lose Scott’s trust. Alex said she kind of believed them that Scott would go, because Neeley looked her in the eyes and said it. Morgan said she doesn’t think that Neeley would lie but the others would in a heartbeat. Whitney said they cannot pull this off if Scott is on the block, seeing as he is one of their votes. Morgan said she hates the idea of backing down to the other side. Alex said America hates Monte and half of the house hates him but he has proved to be pretty loyal, while Scott stabbed them in the back last week. Whitney pointed out that Scott never acted like he was going to vote with them. Alex said he didn’t blindside them and maybe she shouldn’t blindside him. Morgan, Shelby and Whitney agreed that they should not put Scott up. Monte joined the HoH crew. Whitney said they wont have the numbers to save Monte or Scott if they put Scott up. Monte said he would rather trust America. He said he doesn't want to give the other side the satisfaction of making the decision. Alex said he is basically writing his own death sentence. Monte told Alex to put him on a silver platter for America, because then at least they have a shot in the dark that America votes Danielle out.
12:00-1:00 AM: Monte told Alex that he doesn’t want her getting tricked into getting him out by putting Scott up. Alex wondered why they would want Scott out over Monte. Monte said they don’t and she cannot buy into it. Alex said Monte will probably go home if she puts Kryssie up. Monte was fine with that. Alex finally agreed that putting Scott up is not the right thing to do. Alex pointed out that she would likely be targeted next week if she makes this move, though she would rather go down swinging than bowing down to the other side. Monte approached Neeley about giving him a sympathy vote because he doesn’t want to go out unanimously. He said the girls seem to be going with the house now. Neeley said she will take it in and then let Monte know. Monte reported back to those in the HoH room, saying his conversation with Neeley went well. Neeley spoke to Danielle and Kryssie about it. They explained to her that Monte tried to force a tie last week as well. Neeley assured them that she would never not vote with them but she is feeling bad about doing it behind Monte’s back. Alex checked in with Morgan to ask if she thinks that she should stick to the plan of nominating Kryssie. Morgan said yes.
