Big Brother: Over The Top Day 20 - Alex and Justin win the Power of Veto

October 17, 2016

10:00-11:00 AM: America’s Nominee was revealed. America nominated Danielle, putting her on the block next to Kryssie and Neeley. The veto players were then selected. Scott, Kryssie, Neeley, Danielle, Alex and Justin will be competing. After the ceremony, Shelby let Scott know that Kryssie said something last night about how Scott’s speech broke the rules because he was baiting her to quit. In the bedroom, Neeley was angry because she said Shelby was dancing in the bathroom after the nominee was revealed. Neeley questioned how Shelby can be so reckless when she was looking in her direction. Neeley said Shelby’s time is coming next week. Neeley called the behaviour the tackiest, most reckless, inappropriate behaviour she has ever seen. Neeley said the other three girls were trying to contain their smiles and it was disgusting. Neeley went on to say that she can’t stand that the girls were cheering and gleeful when it’s Danielle and Kryssie’s third time on the block. Jason said Shelby is a scared little girl. Neeley said she needs to be because if she stays another week, Alex, Morgan, Shelby and Whitney will all be gone. After Danielle left the room, Jason said Danielle is very self absorbed. Neeley said Danielle definitely talks about herself excessively. Kryssie said she doesn’t think that nominating Danielle was a shot at them as a group. She said it was a shot at Danielle. Jason said it was America telling Danielle that they don’t think she is as great as she thinks she is. Justin joined them and said that Danielle is not coming down. Justin said he will use the veto on Kryssie or Neeley, not on Danielle, if he wins it. Jason worried that he would end up going home yet again after hosting the veto competition. Justin and Neeley assured Jason that he will not be leaving. Justin said he gets annoyed by Danielle and can only imagine what everyone else thinks. He said she is all about herself. Jason told Kryssie and Neeley that he would prefer to keep Shane over Danielle. Neeley said Danielle was the brain behind throwing one of them under the bus to save the showmance last week. Kryssie said Danielle was vocal and petty last week, and she has definitely been the most detrimental to their side in terms of social game. Neeley agreed that she would prefer to see Danielle go over Shane. Justin headed up to the HoH room. He told Scott and the girls that he really loves Kryssie and does not want her to leave. Alex said they don’t either. Whitney told Justin to use the veto on Kryssie if he wins it. Justin said he could live without Danielle. Back downstairs, Danielle said she doesn’t understand what she did or how they can want to keep people like the Plastics in the house. Danielle said it took everything in her not to go punch Shelby in the face after Neeley told them what she was doing. Danielle wondered what she did to America to make them target her. Danielle mentioned being bullied by girls like that all her life. She admitted her biggest fear coming into the house was that America would not like her. She said she has to look at it from a positive point of view or else she will lose it, so she will assume America knew she was going to be backdoored and gave her a shot at playing the veto competition.

1:00-2:00 PM: Scott chose to put the Double Veto into play using his care package. The veto competition took place. The houseguests competed head to head, two at a time, looking to be the first to complete a puzzle. The winner advanced and the loser was eliminated. In Round 1, Kryssie challenged Alex and lost. Danielle then challenged and defeated Scott. Neeley then challenged Alex, who won for the second time. Justin challenged Danielle. Justin won. Danielle walked away and questioned why Justin wouldn’t throw it to her. She cried in the corner. Alex and Justin were each given a Power of Veto. After the competition, Justin asked Jason if he made a bad choice. Jason said Danielle is going to be mad at him. Danielle went to her bed and cried under the covers. Justin explained to the Plastics that he just wanted to do the best that he can and he happened to do it faster than Danielle did. Justin made it clear that he plans to save Kryssie. Alex told the girls that she did not want to win but she felt that she did not have a choice once Scott was eliminated. Shane comforted Danielle and told her that it will be fine since Justin is going to use the veto on her. Shane said the plan is still to backdoor him anyway. Danielle said Justin could be working with Scott and he probably won’t use the veto on her. Up in the HoH room, Alex told Scott that Justin is definitely going to save Kryssie. Scott said he thinks that Alex should not use her veto. Alex agreed because she wanted to take a vote away from the other side. While Jason, Justin, Kryssie and Neeley discussed that they are better off without Danielle, Alex, Morgan, Scott, Shelby and Whitney discussed sending Shane home.

2:00-3:00 PM: Justin spoke to Kryssie about using the veto on her. Kryssie asked if the others are okay with that. Justin said yeah. He let her know that they were saying Kryssie deserves a break. Justin said Scott was the main one saying it. Justin told Kryssie he thinks that Danielle is definitely going to be the target since she is the brains of the showmance. Kryssie said what the other side doesn’t understand is that you need to have a crew. Kryssie argued that the other side is already breaking up, since it’s Alex and Scott vs Morgan and Whitney. Justin made his way back up to the HoH room. Scott said he does not want Neeley to go. Justin said he is on board with voting Danielle out. Scott said he doesn’t think anyone would complain about that. Alex told Justin that she is not using her veto. Scott said it’s fine if Justin uses his on Kryssie. Justin asked if they will vote Danielle out if he does that, cause his side is voting Danielle out. The girls played it off as though they were still up in the air about it. Shelby asked what the logic behind keeping Shane is. Justin said Danielle is the brains of the showmance. Scott said they still have two days to make a decision. Justin said he is on board with either Danielle or Shane going but he wants to be kept in the loop.

3:00-4:00 PM: After Justin left, Morgan told the girls that she thinks they should still vote Shane out. Shelby and Alex agreed. Shelby said they should let the others think they are voting Danielle out. Alex agreed since she thinks it would be good if Danielle stays but has votes against her from her own allies. Alex pointed out that Justin referred to the other side as “my side”, so they know where his loyalty lies. Scott entered the room. Shelby told him they think it’s best to act like they are voting Danielle out. Morgan said Danielle will then realize that her side voted against her even though she stayed. Scott said that’s amazing and told the girls that he is on board with the plan. Shelby said Justin is not going to be happy about them tricking him but he already let them know which side he is on. Justin then checked in with Shane, telling him that either he or Danielle will be leaving but he is trying to push for Danielle to go. Shane said it would suck to be backdoored. Justin told Shane that he will still be there.

4:00-5:00 PM: Jason told Scott that he would like to know where his head is at. Scott said he is not nominating Jason or the girls so that only leaves one person. Jason said Shane. Jason asked who Scott would prefer to see go. He questioned if Scott would still rather have Shane go. Scott said probably but the girls may want to take Danielle out. Scott said he honestly doesn’t really care either way. Jason said he doesn’t either. Scott mentioned the plan last week was to take out Danielle so he might just stick with that. Jason said Danielle is the smarter of the two. Scott said Danielle was able to get Cornbread out when she was a nominee. Jason said he would feel more confident in getting Danielle out but he doesn’t want to step on Scott’s toes. Scott told Jason he wouldn’t be. Jason then went to Shane to see where his head is at. Shane said he wants to play the game. Jason said that’s what he wanted to hear. He didn’t want Shane to say that he loves Danielle so much that she can stay over him. Shane said no and told Jason that he is there to play.

8:00-9:00 PM: Scott told Alex that he is thinking about approaching Jason to discuss a five person alliance between the three of them, Justin and Neeley. Scott said he has a good bond with Jason so it might be better to talk to him instead of Neeley. Alex agreed. Scott said they need to make it through one more week so that they are both then competing full force in HoH. Alex said this week is make or break for them since Scott cannot compete for HoH and she has a disadvantage in it. Alex told Scott that she stands behind his decision if he talks to Jason. Scott said they have to survive this week. Alex said they can help each other get to the end if they get in with Jason, Justin and Neeley. Scott said they would then be covered with everyone but Danielle and Kryssie.

1:00-2:00 AM: Scott let Jason know that he and Alex would like to form a five person alliance with Jason, Justin and Neeley, aiming to take out the weak players. Jason said the hardest person to convince of that is going to be Neeley because she has got a lot of loyalty to Kryssie. Scott said Alex trusts him a lot and he told her before the care package even arrived that she cannot go after Jason. Jason said he would have to glue the two sides but he is down to try it. Jason explained he would have to approach it lightly as opposed to how Scott did with him, seeing as Neeley has a lot of mistrust with those girls. Scott said he and Alex are very tight and those girls will need to be broken up somehow. Jason said those five are a good five. He told Scott that he and Justin will be the easiest to pull out of that side and now is not a bad week to purge some of their side. Jason said he does not have the blinders on and he is not playing the same game as he did during Big Brother 17 by sticking to his side no matter what. Scott said they too know that working with those girls the whole way is not going to allow them to be successful. Jason asked if Scott doesn’t care who goes out of Danielle and Shane. Scott said not really but the showmance is after Alex which his not good for him. Jason said Scott has to protect his queen. Jason admitted he has been pushing for his side to see that Danielle has to go first since she is the better player. Jason let Scott know that they would probably vote Danielle out but he and Justin are workable in terms of voting Shane out if Scott prefers that. Scott said the girls don’t even know who they want out at this point, but he and Alex just want both out sooner than later. Jason said that’s fine with him. Jason told Scott that he would like for Alex to approach him about all of this as well because they have only talked game while she was in power. Jason said if they purge their showmance, then they have to purge a few of Scott’s girls before they go for Kryssie. Scott said they would expect nothing less. Jason told Scott that everything he is saying makes a lot of sense but he doesn’t know if it will work with all these head strong people. Justin joined them and asked if Danielle really thinks that she is not leaving this week. Justin said Danielle must think he is a sucker. Jason said Danielle is the one that came up with putting Scott up but still vote out Monte. They discussed the proposed alliance again. Jason reiterated that getting the showmance out is best for everyone and it definitely makes a lot of sense. As for Kryssie, he said she needs to stay a little longer. Jason told Scott that they are all good and if they get Danielle out it’s all good. Jason said if his side wins HoH next week, they will not go for Shane. Scott said that’s fine. Jason said they will take out a Shelby or a weak fish, then they can come for Shane, then they go after a Whitney. Jason asked if Alex has a hierarchy of those girls. Scott said no. Jason told Justin that he knows he loves Whitney but she is the smartest one over there other than Alex. Justin said he is keeping things cordial but he is cutthroat and they all have to go. Jason told Scott that he and Alex will be chilling if he wins HoH next week. Justin told Scott that he doesn’t have anything against Alex. Justin explained that he made a deal he would not come for Alex if she didn’t put him up. Justin said he can talk to Scott with his right hand man Jason beside him, otherwise he wouldn’t be talking game.

2:00-3:00 AM: After Scott headed to bed, Jason told Justin he thinks that they can really trust Scott. Jason said he wants to talk to Alex more because he thinks they can trust her too but he wants to get more of a read on her. Jason said the side vs side thing wont last forever and eventually a new side will come. Jason said that’s what this is. Jason said the Jamboree may stick together for a bit but the alliance with Scott is a long term game move. Jason suggested that they could pick off people from each side while they are chilling. They discussed that if they give up the showmance, Alex and Scott have to lose some of the girls. Jason pointed out that it’s nice the fifth, Neeley, is someone from their side.
