Big Brother: Over The Top Day 3 - Monte wins HoH

September 30, 2016

9:00-10:00 AM: Neeley asked Jason how he would feel about a girls alliance. Jason said a lot of times it doesn’t work but it seems like the girls already feel like a solid group. Neeley thinks that Shelby, Whitney, Alex and Morgan are already close. She suggested that Jason, Kryssie and herself could join them to form a seven person alliance. Jason said that’s not a bad spot to go. Jason told Neeley that he feels as though he knows nothing about Alex and Morgan. Neeley told Jason that she felt a nice little connection with Morgan at first until the others moved in. Jason said he hopes that the other girls aren’t too connected to a point where they cannot get in. Neeley said the only reason why she wouldn’t bring Danielle into the alliance is cause she will run back to Shane with information, then Shane would share it with the other guys. Jason said his best bet is to have one of the girls win HoH, because he would have a tough time getting in close with Cornbread or Monte. Jason thought that winning HoH would give him a shot at finding a friend in the house. Neeley said she would prefer to have Jason win. Jason said he feels like he can trust Neeley, Kryssie and Shelby.

10:00-11:00 AM: The alarm sounded for the first time today. As planned, Morgan infected Cornbread. He has now been eliminated from the HoH competition. The plan as of last night was for Morgan to infect Cornbread so that he can eliminate Jason. Monte pointed out to Jason that there are only two guys left that can win HoH. Jason said he thought that the girls would be handing the BB Bug off to each other, so now he is wondering what Cornbread is going to do with it. Monte said girls are usually more scared to put their foot in the water, though some of them are vicious. Monte told Jason that the read he gets from the girls in the house is that they don’t want to make a big move yet. Monte said he is expecting Alex or Whitney to be eliminated next. Jason told Monte that Cornbread will probably give it to him but he will not give it to Monte. Jason suggested that the may choose to give it to Whitney and then she will have to choose between Alex and Monte to determine who becomes the first HoH. Monte asked Jason if he wants the BB Bug if he gets it next. Jason said if Monte cannot be HoH, he would prefer to be so don’t give it to him. Jason assured Monte that he is good with him. Monte said it sucks because he feels like he is good with everybody. After Monte walked away, Jason said “let’s hope this works”. Shane asked Scott if he is getting intel from Jason. Scott said yeah and told Shane that Jason wants to keep Danielle, Monte and Shane around because they will naturally become targets. Scott mentioned that Jason didn’t say anything about Cornbread but they will have the votes as long as two of them are not on the block together.

11:00-12:00 PM: Cornbread followed through with the plan, infecting Jason and eliminating him from the HoH competition. In the storage room, Monte said to himself that everything is going according to plan. Monte then headed outside. Kryssie asked him if he is wanting HoH. Monte said it’s really the luck of the draw at this point. Monte said he doesn’t think that there will be any bad blood no matter who gets it, because you are basically pulling two names out of a hat for nominations this early on. Jason and Shelby spoke in the storage room. Jason said he is thinking about giving the BB Bug to Whitney next in hope of her choosing Alex to be HoH. Jason said what he just learned about Alex is that she is a bigger fan than he thought. Alex had been talking about watching the live feeds and discussed various events in Big Brother history. Jason and Shelby agreed that Whitney would likely let the guys run her HoH even if she were in power, so having Monte win is the same thing as having Whitney win. Jason said he also pretty much told Monte that he wants him to be HoH, which means he can’t eliminate him at this point. Jason mentioned that Cornbread made it blatantly obvious that he is coming after him. Jason said he is after Cornbread as well.

12:00-1:00 PM: Monte let Alex know that Whitney is okay with being HoH, so it will either be him or Whitney. Alex was on board with that. Alex expects Jason to eliminate Monte next. Monte agreed. He said Jason was trying to feel him out earlier and he sees him as a threat. Monte said Jason told him that he is good but he does not believe that. Monte mentioned that it will be tough to put up Jason this early. Alex asked if they are still going to vote out Kryssie or will it be Jason. Monte said they will have to talk about it. Monte said he would say to target Justin because he is such a floater and all over the place, but Justin can cook. The alarm went off and Jason decided to eliminate Whitney from the HoH competition. Jason told Danielle and Shane that he gave it to Whitney because he has talked to Monte a bit and he would not have gone after Monte this week. Shane asked who Jason would be after. Jason mentioned that Cornbread is someone who is likely to be after him. Jason thought that Cornbread pretended to be having a tough time deciding who to eliminate before he eliminated him. Alex told Whitney that she could approach Monte in order to make a deal so that they can at least shower up in the HoH room. Whitney went to Monte and told him that she will not be giving him the BB Bug. Monte said he has got her back. Monte revealed that he thinks Jason wants him out. Whitney said she wants to talk about Jason but not right now. Monte mentioned Jason telling him that he is safe with him. Whitney said Jason wants to get Monte on his side since he doesn’t have anyone else, though she said she thinks that Jason is after both of them. Monte agreed.

1:00-2:00 PM: The alarm went off for the final time. Whitney infected Alex, meaning that Monte is the first HoH of the season. Monte told Shane that he has narrowed it down to about four potential nominees for this week. Whitney joined them. Monte told both Shane and Whitney that they should keep their bags unpacked this week. Monte said he will have Whitney’s back for a long time because she gave him HoH. Monte said he plans to call people up to the HoH room one by one before making a decision with regards to who to nominate.

2:00-3:00 PM: Alex asked Whitney if she spoke to Monte. Whitney told Alex that she walked into the bedroom and saw Monte and Shane talking. Alex said Shane is Monte’s ride or die. Alex thinks that Monte will use his HoH reign to make deals with everyone. She said you can tell that he is way too into it. Alex thinks that they will be fine with Monte of this week, though she isn’t sure that she is going to believe everything that he says in the long run. Whitney said she is more worried about Shane than Monte. Alex agreed and pointed out that Shane and Danielle were together in the pool for hours. Whitney thinks that Shane may just be using them right now because he knew that they had a shot at winning HoH. Alex said she would like to work with Monte and Shane for as long as they can, but Shane is a wildcard. Whitney worried that Shane would tell Danielle everything that they say. Both girls agreed that Monte is more trustworthy than Shane is.

6:00-7:00 PM: Monte spoke to Scott up in the HoH room. Monte said he thinks he has a good thing going on with Whitney and Alex in terms of having his back and Shane’s back. Monte said he plans to speak to everyone one on one. Monte assured Scott that he is safe. Monte talked about how he has to pick five people to be safe. He explained that he cannot put Cornbread, Shane, Scott, Alex and Whitney up there all at once, otherwise people would realize that those are his favourites. Scott said he doesn’t mind being in the final group. Monte said one of his biggest threats is Jason because he has been in this game before. Scott let Monte know that Jason said he wants to keep Danielle, Monte and Shane together and in the game because it will make them the biggest threats. Monte mentioned Jason, Kryssie and Shelby as the people who he is considering nominating. Scott said Kryssie may be the perfect pawn, but Monte did not want to nominate her next to Jason since that would be putting two big characters up. Monte said Scott, Cornbread, Shane, Alex, Whitney and Danielle are safe. Monte said he likes Neeley as well. Scott said the closest friendship in the house outside of their group is between Kryssie and Neeley. Monte didn’t want to nominate Neeley when he had already told her that she is good. Monte said he is terrified about having Jason stay if he puts him on the block. Monte continued to debate who to use as a pawn. Kryssie and Shelby’s names came up most often.

7:00-8:00 PM: Monte spoke to Shelby while the weekday recap was shown on the feeds. After the recap, we joined the conversation near the end of it. Monte said he is not going to tell people that they are absolutely safe. Shelby said she is not expecting that. Monte next spoke to Justin, explaining that he plans to meet with everyone one on one to give them a chance to let him know how they feel. Justin said everything is cool for the most part. He said nobody has really developed a plan or anything. Monte said he has got a good vibe from Justin. Though he feels good about Justin, Monte explained that he cannot tell anyone that they are guaranteed to be safe. Monte talked about being worried about having people come after him based on his nominations. Justin said it’s inevitable and it will be game on after he puts the first two people on the block. Next up, Monte spoke to Alex. Monte said that Alex and Whitney should obviously feel pretty good. Monte told Alex that she and Whitney are the reason that he is HoH, so they should feel safe. Monte said he feels good about Shane and thinks that they have a good combo thing going on, in addition to a couple of other guys. Monte then said he feels good about Cornbread, Scott, Alex and Whitney too. Monte mentioned that Jason clearly knows how to play the game. Though he likes Jason, Monte said he cannot be naive about him. Alex pointed out that Jason will get anything that America gets to vote on. Monte said he doesn’t want America to get a chance to save Jason. Monte wondered who to nominate next to Jason. When Shelby’s name came up, Alex said she has not heard anything about Shelby and she does not think that she is dangerous at this point. Monte said he may just leave her alone. Alex suggested that Morgan may be able to control Shelby. Monte called Morgan a wildcard and said there is something about her that he cannot put his finger on. Kryssie’s name was brought up as a potential pawn next to Jason. It was discussed that she is unlikely to be someone who can rally the troops against Monte if she gets herself off of the block. Monte said his strategy that he is leaning towards is to get Jason out of the house any way that he can. Monte again said that Alex is right about Shelby and he is not going to put her up. Monte said he will try to get Alex, Whitney, Morgan, Cornbread, Scott and Shane to guarantee him that they will vote Jason out over Kryssie. Alex said the fact that she is in there with Jason is a dream but she wants to win the game.

8:00-9:00 PM: Monte asked Cornbread if he would vote Jason out. Cornbread said that he would. Monte explained that Jason has got to go because America loves him. Monte let Cornbread know that he is getting a bit uneasy about Shane, due to not knowing what is going on between Shane and Danielle. Cornbread said he is not going against their four but he let Monte know that the two of them are a higher priority for him. Meanwhile, Morgan told Alex and Whitney that Shelby wants to talk to them because she thinks it would be a good idea for the four of them to work together. The girls discussed that they can have their own girls thing on the side but keep that quiet from the others. Alex said they can let Monte and Shane think that they are the core. Alex told Morgan that Monte wants her to get Shelby on their side, so she needs to become Shelby’s ride or die. Morgan said she already spoke to Shelby today and said the two of them should stick together. Morgan said Shelby does not like Danielle. Alex said that is good to know since Monte thinks that Danielle would be the perfect person to nominate next to Jason.

9:00-10:00 PM: Monte spoke to Morgan about how he is close with Shane, Alex and Whitney. Morgan said they are trustworthy people. Monte said he feels good about Cornbread and Scott as well. Monte let Morgan know that he feels good about her as well and she should feel safe. Monte said he feels bad for Shelby because she is not really finding a place to fit in. Morgan said Shelby would be a good person to keep in their back pocket. Monte spoke to Morgan about taking a shot at Jason. Morgan said Jason is a vet and he had his run already. Morgan said she is willing to vote Jason out this week. Monte thinks that it is common sense to target the one person who has played before. Monte then spoke to Whitney to fill her in on the plan to target Jason. He asked if Whitney would vote Jason out. Whitney said that she would. Whitney asked what the plan is if Jason wins the veto. Monte said he would have to go after Justin, Kryssie or Shelby at that point. Whitney told Monte that he wouldn’t want to have Justin after him, which led to Monte saying that he would probably nominate Shelby if Jason were to win the veto.

10:00-11:00 PM: Monte spoke to Jason about how he needs to find two people to nominate. Jason said he is still trying to figure out where he fits in with the people there, because it seems as though he fits nowhere. Jason worried that he would be an easy target this week. Jason pointed out that he could help further Monte’s game by being someone who people will come after if he is left in the game. Jason explained that nobody is going to let him get near the end when they know that America is voting for the winner and he was well liked on his previous season. Jason said he sees that Monte and Shane are there to play, which is the type of people that he wants to align himself with. Jason said one of his problems last year is that he thought he had to take the boys out, yet the girls are ones who targeted him. While Jason acknowledged that nobody will be mad at Monte if he targets him, he said he can be a gun in Monte’s corner moving forward. Jason mentioned that you don’t fight the twist in Big Brother. He said you need to use the twist to your advantage and find a way to weaponize it. Monte said that’s a good point. Jason added that if he is still well liked and if America votes on something, he can get it and he will be in Monte’s corner. Monte told Jason that he made a great pitch. Monte let Jason know that he is still considering everything at this point.

11:00-12:00 AM: Monte told Danielle that he gets good vibes from her, especially because she is tight with Shane. Monte said Danielle is good this week. Monte then told Neeley that she should be good this week. Finally, Monte spoke to Shane. He told him that the plan remains to get Jason out as of now. Monte let Shane know that Jason offered an alliance with the two of them. However, Monte said he thinks that Jason is telling him what he wants to hear. As for the other nominee, Shane said he would nominate Shelby. Monte asked if Shane is 100% down to get Jason out this week. Shane said yes. Monte asked what they should do if Jason wins the veto. Shane told Monte to nominate Kryssie or Neeley if that happens. Monte said it would have to be Kryssie out of those two. Monte admitted that he is a bit concerned about Scott. Shane said they will be taking Scott out eventually. Shane compared Scott to Steve.

12:00-1:00 AM: In the bathroom, Alex let Shelby know that Monte wants to nominate Jason and Kryssie in order to get Jason out. Alex said she would prefer to get Kryssie out before Jason. Alex told Shelby that she would like to have a thing with her, Morgan and Whitney. Shelby said everyone already thinks that they are together anyway. Up in the HoH room, Whitney told Monte and Shane that they have Shelby on their side. Monte said he would have to nominate Kryssie over Shelby then. Monte asked who would go up if Jason wins the veto. Whitney said he can put Shelby up in that case. Back downstairs, Alex told Shelby that they control the votes and have the numbers to get Kryssie out no matter what Monte wants. Morgan joined them. They talked about staying loyal to their group of four but branching off in order to make connections with the other houseguests. Alex advised Shelby to tell Monte that she wants Jason and Kryssie out. Alex said Monte thinks that he is close with her, Whitney and Shane, but he doesn’t know that Morgan and Shelby are with them 100%. Alex headed upstairs. Morgan and Shelby discussed that Cornbread is going to have to go at some point because he will win the game if he makes it to the end. Morgan also said that Monte and Shane will become a problem. Shelby agreed. Upstairs, Alex told Monte and Shane that Shelby really wants Jason and Kryssie out. The guys were happy to hear that she is on board with the plan.

2:00-3:00 AM: Alex told Whitney that Monte said Jason doesn’t trust Whitney and was also talking about her. Alex felt that they didn’t tell her everything. Whitney said she felt the same way. Alex said Jason apparently gave Whitney the BB Bug because he doesn’t trust her. Alex said she was thinking about keeping Jason but now 100% she is not. Whitney said she will fake a smile but now Jason is dead to her. Alex mentioned that she has barely even had a conversation with Jason, so she doesn’t know how he can judge her. Alex said if they want to keep Monte and Shane’s trust, they cannot tell Morgan and Shelby much. The girls agreed that they do not trust Shane. Alex said it’s very telling that they will not consider using Danielle as a pawn. Alex thinks that Kryssie will definitely go home this week if Jason wins the veto. Morgan joined them. Alex let Whitney know that she spoke to Shelby to let her know that they want the four of them to work together. Whitney said she hasn't got to talk to Shelby alone yet but she wants her to know that she is on the same page.
