Big Brother: Over The Top Day 34 - Danielle wins the Power of Veto
October 31, 2016
9:00-10:00 AM: America’s Nominee was revealed. America nominated Scott for eviction. The veto players were then selected. Whitney got houseguest’s choice and chose Justin to play. Jason was the other randomly selected player. In the bathroom, Whitney told Morgan that she chose Justin to play because they need to ensure that Scott stays on the block. Morgan said she agrees with that. Jason told Justin that they need to win the veto and convince Danielle that Whitney is not the best person to go. Jason said Danielle will not backdoor one of them and she will have to put Morgan up. Kryssie told Danielle and Jason that if Scott stays on the block, it’s their chance to right what was wrong last week. Jason said America saw that last week went the wrong way. Jason told Danielle that he doesn’t think it is smart to pull Scott down now that he is America’s Nominee. Jason said America handed them Scott on a platter. Danielle said she doesn’t know cause she doesn’t care about getting Scott out. Danielle believes that Scott will be more honest than the girls on the other side will be. Danielle said it would be horrible if the two people she nominates stay in the house. Jason said they are two people that are not even able to come after her. Jason told Danielle that they can save Whitney and then have their pick out of Alex, Scott and Shelby. Danielle said she prefers to get Alex out over Scott but that will not happen given who is voting this week. Jason said America does not want to watch the Alex and Scott show, which is what they will be giving them if they miss this opportunity. Danielle pointed out that sending out Scott will make her Alex’s top target. Jason argued that it wouldn’t and that Alex was ready to let Scott go last week. Danielle said she would rather nominate Morgan than Alex. Jason thought that they may be able to convince Shelby to let them vote. Jason said America is helping them right now and they will hate them if they don’t take this opportunity to get Scott out. Danielle told Jason that they need to let Justin or Whitney win the veto because they can then take Whitney down. Jason said he could pull Whitney down if he wins, but he will let Whitney and Justin win if he can. Danielle agreed.
10:00-11:00 AM: Whitney told Shelby that she chose Justin to compete so that Scott stays on the block. Alex said they just cannot have Scott win the veto. Morgan didn’t want Danielle to win either. Alex asked if she thinks that Danielle would save Scott. Whitney said she would. In the have-not room, Kryssie told Justin that Danielle was making deals with Alex and Scott but she still thinks that Danielle would rather be loyal to them over those two. Kryssie thinks that Alex and Scott asked Danielle to get Whitney out, though getting rid of Morgan is just as good of an option for the rest of them. Kryssie said she would be fine with Morgan or Scott leaving. She told Justin that they have to make sure they can get Whitney off the block. Meanwhile, Scott told America that he isn’t even mad. He said America did him a huge favour last week and what’s important is that Alex will be safe. Scott said he has to get Alex to the end of the game. Scott talked through the options for the week. He said the only benefit to keeping Whitney is that she is likely to get a care package. In the bathroom, Danielle told Whitney that she will let her or Justin win the veto if she can. Danielle said she nominated Whitney initially because she worried that she would leave if she were put up as the replacement nominee.
1:00-3:00 PM: The veto competition took place. It was an individually timed competition. There were three items hidden throughout the house. The lights were out and the houseguests had nothing but a light on their head to help them navigate throughout the house. There were people scattered throughout the house to scare them. Once the houseguests retrieved all three items, they had to place them in a chest in the living room. The results were as follows:
Danielle - 1:22
Justin - 1:50
Scott - 2:08
Jason - 2:14
Whitney - 4:52
Shelby - 5:063:00-4:00 PM: The results of the veto competition were revealed to the houseguests. Danielle won the Power of Veto. Alex and Shelby chatted on the hammock. Alex said Justin is going to push Danielle to take Whitney down. Shelby didn’t think that Danielle would do it. Neither did Alex. Shelby said they can vote out Scott if Danielle uses the veto on either of her original nominees. Alex expects that Danielle will use the veto on Scott. Shelby said that is kind of good for her since Scott would be another vote on her side.
4:00-5:00 PM: Alex told Morgan that they need to talk to Whitney and make her feel buddy buddy since she likely thinks that she is at the bottom. Alex said she doesn’t want Whitney to feel that way. Morgan said they can vote Scott out if either of them go up as a replacement nominee. Jason told Danielle that the smartest thing to do is use the veto on Whitney. He said Whitney will then vote Scott out and Danielle can say at the end that she got Scott out of the house. Jason told Danielle that Whitney will not go back to the other side because she is pissed at them. Jason explained that Whitney is playing her own game and that’s why Alex and Scott want her out because they do not have her brainwashed. Jason said he wants to give America what they want. Danielle said she doesn’t want to piss them off. Danielle pointed out that they were willing to barter earlier on but now that they are all safe, they no longer have to. Jason said it would not be smart to go after Whitney when she has loyalty to Justin who is on their side. Danielle spoke to Whitney and asked her if she is willing to vote Scott out. Whitney said if that’s who Danielle wants out. Whitney said she is willing to vote anyone out if Danielle uses the veto on her. Whitney said she is the only one who will not ask “how high?” when Alex says to jump. Danielle told Whitney that Alex and Scott said if she put up Whitney, they would vote her out over someone on her side. Danielle said she will use the veto on Whitney and nominate Morgan in her place. Whitney said she will tell the girls that she doesn’t know what the plan is. Jason told Whitney that she is good with their side if she rolls with them moving forward. Danielle said Alex and Scott are so manipulative and they almost had her until she realized that she had made a deal with the devil. Whitney told Danielle and Kryssie that she will keep hanging out with the girls and act dumb like they think she is. The group talked about how America gave them a gift by nominating Scott. Danielle said they were convinced that America hated them. Jason said they don’t.
5:00-6:00 PM: Whitney told her fellow Ball Smashers allies that she doesn’t think that Danielle is going to use the veto. Morgan said if that happens, she will be voting Scott out 1000%. Shelby said Scott had a chance to save himself today. Alex said she doesn’t want Scott to come beg them for a vote, so it’s best not to hang out in a group. Danielle came out of the diary room and gathered the houseguests in the living room. She announced that the Halloween costumes are in the storage room and the party will begin at 7:15. The houseguests spent the next couple of hours
7:00-10:00 PM: The houseguests received food and drinks for their Halloween party. Liz from Big Brother 17 entered the house to trick or treat. Later, Lawon from Big Brother 13 came by as well. The houseguests continued to drink and eat before playing games such as “never have I ever”.
