Big Brother: Over The Top Day 38 - Jason becomes Co-HoH

November 4, 2016

1:00-2:00 PM: This week’s care package was delivered. Jason received it and will be the Co-HoH for the week. There will still be two safety ceremonies. At each ceremony, both Shelby and Jason will save one houseguest. Shelby will make her choice first on each night. The remaining two houseguests will be nominated for eviction. Shelby will get to claim which of the two will be her nominee. That means she will name the replacement nominee if that nominee comes off of the block. Jason will chose the replacement nominee if the other nominee comes off of the block. In the event of a tie vote this week, whichever HoH does better in this week’s veto competition will get to break the tie. Neither Jason nor Shelby will get to compete in the HoH competition during the double eviction. Jason said the irony of him being Co-HoH with Shelby is so good. Danielle, Jason, Justin and Kryssie thanked America. In the storage room, Shelby told Morgan she is pissed because now both Jason and Justin will be playing to take Justin off of the block. Morgan pointed out that Jason will be a sitting duck in the double eviction and he will go home if one of them wins HoH. Shelby said she has to think how she can get Justin out now since she does not have a backup target with Jason being safe. Morgan and Shelby thought that trying to get Jason to nominate Whitney could be an option. Outside, Whitney told Justin that she is trusting Jason not to nominate her but she knows that Alex is so manipulative. Justin said Jason will not nominate Whitney. Justin let Whitney know he is planning to win the eighth HoH in the seventh week. He said he figured that out based on the nail polish on his finger. Justin explained that he is very superstitious. Whitney asked if that means that Justin is not going to win the double eviction HoH. He said no and told Whitney that he will win the one after. He doesn’t want to be the seventh HoH in the seventh week. Justin told Whitney that she will not have a good chance if she makes it to the Final 5 with his side. He revealed that the people on his side are terrified of her. Whitney asked if he is talking about Danielle and Jason. Justin replied by saying “everybody”. Whitney said it scares her that no one is going to take her to the end. Justin said he will take Whitney to the end. Jason, Danielle, Justin and Whitney then discussed the plan for the week. Jason said they need to decide which person from their side they should nominate and put their confidence in when it comes to winning the veto. Jason expects Shelby to save Alex and Morgan, leaving Whitney as a nominee. Danielle said the best option may be nominating her since it is unlikely that America would nominate Justin or Kryssie. Kryssie agreed that it’s the best move since Danielle is the only one with a history of being nominated by America. Kryssie suggested that Danielle act pissed off when Jason nominates her. Danielle said Jason has to claim her as his nominee because he will then get to pick the replacement nominee when she saves herself. Upstairs, Shelby told Alex and Morgan that they need to look at the positives. She said she can keep them both safe and then Jason cannot play in the next HoH competition. She told the girls that it would be good for her to claim Danielle as her nominee since Danielle is strong and she would get to pick the replacement nominee if Danielle wins the veto. Shelby figured that Jason may end up leaving Kryssie unsafe since she is not likely to win the veto and then she wont get to pick a replacement nominee.

2:00-3:00 PM: Up in the HoH room, the Ball Smashers discussed the plan for the week. Shelby said Danielle is a strong competitor. Morgan asked if that means Shelby would claim her as her nominee. Shelby said she doesn’t know. Whitney suggested that Danielle may throw the veto if that happens so that Jason can pick the replacement nominee. Shelby then said she will probably have to pick one of the Ball Smashers as her nominee. After Whitney left, Alex threw out the possibility of keeping Whitney safe. Alex said it’s something to consider. They discussed that it may be a good option if Alex’s name is the first to be revealed for have-nots and it seems likely that she will be America’s Nominee. Alex and Morgan said it only works if one of them is listed prior to Danielle for have-nots. Morgan thought Jason would figure out the same thing and nominate Danielle so that they do not know who America’s Nominee will be.

3:00-4:00 PM: Jason made his way up to the HoH room. He and Shelby went over their plans. Jason admitted that he would like to nominate Danielle. Jason told Shelby that she has to nominate one of her people if he is going to nominate one of his. Jason said he is willing to have Danielle leave this week. He asked Shelby if she is fine with any of her own leaving. Shelby mentioned that the girls think Whitney made a deal with Jason’s side last week. Jason said Whitney didn’t make a deal with him and he thinks it was more so that it was the better move to make so that they didn’t give Alex and Scott what they wanted. Jason again mentioned that he is fine with Danielle going. Shelby thought that Danielle would be someone they can beat at the end. Jason said she is really good when it comes to strategy and America will choose the best player even if they weren’t well liked. As for her side of the house, Shelby said she knows that Alex and Whitney will beat her in the finale. Jason said Shelby can probably beat Morgan. Shelby said her nominee is going to be Alex or Whitney depending on the have-nots. Shelby said she trusts Alex more but she is a beast in competitions. Jason told Shelby about the deal that Alex and Scott approached him with in terms of working together with him, Justin and possibly Neeley. Jason said those two were paying all sides. Shelby said that’s good to know since she thought that Alex was her BB BFF. Shelby let Jason know that she is tighter with Alex but she trusts Morgan more and sees herself beating Morgan. Jason said Alex cannot be slept on just like Danielle cannot be. Jason called Alex and Danielle the two biggest powerhouses in the game. Shelby said she may put up Alex then. Shelby asked Jason if he thinks that Justin would beat him in the finale. Jason said he would for a fact. They agreed that Justin would beat everyone. Shelby said she is assuming that Jason is keeping Justin around to bring him further. Jason said he has to keep Justin around for now.

5:00-6:00 PM: Shelby let the sisters know that Jason said Whitney didn’t make a deal. Alex and Morgan said they don’t believe that. Shelby said Jason told her that Whitney only went up because Alex and Scott asked for it. Alex said she wants to call him out on that. Alex figured that Jason wants her out. Shelby said Jason is claiming that he wants Danielle out. Alex said that’s a lie. Shelby told Morgan that she told Jason she trusts her the most. Alex told the girls that Jason twisted things after she walked into a conversation and got asked who she wants out more between Morgan and Whitney. Alex said all she did was point out that one of those two is more likely to win the game. Shelby said Jason is paranoid about next week. Alex said he should be. Shelby pointed out that the Co-HoH is not as good as it typically would be since it comes before a double eviction. Shelby said she believes Jason will nominate Danielle but she doesn’t think that he is actually after her. Morgan said Jason figures that she will be America’s Nominee and he prefers that one of them be America’s Nominee instead. Whitney joined the girls. Shelby said she wants to see Danielle’s reaction when Jason nominates her because Jason claimed she is going to be mad and he is going to say some harsh things. Shelby wants to see if Jason is being truthful with her. The girls discussed the idea of nominating Alex or Morgan if one of their names is first when the have-nots are revealed. Alex said they cannot read into that too much anymore. Alex and Shelby then broke off and spoke alone. Shelby said Jason claimed to be going after Danielle since the house division is ending. Alex said he is a liar and the house division is not ending since everyone on his side was cheering when he got the care package. Shelby said they have to figure out if Alex is in a better position on the block rather than off of it. Alex said it’s tough to tell because they do not know who America will nominate. Shelby headed back downstairs to talk to Morgan and Whitney. She said that she will probably claim someone from their alliance as her nominee so that she can save them if she wins the veto. Whitney again said that Danielle would be able to throw the competition if Shelby claims her. The sisters got a chance to speak alone. Morgan mentioned that it might not be a good idea to have her on the block so that they can chance Kryssie going up as America’s Nominee. Alex worried that she would be America’s Nominee and then they are both on the block. Morgan said she almost wants Shelby to save Whitney in case Whitney is America’s Nominee too. Alex said the only chance they have this week is if America has their backs. The sisters agree that Shelby is the person they trust most aside from each other.

7:00-8:00 PM: The live diary room sessions took place. Shelby said that the care package has taken away her ability to make a big move but you better bet that she will make a big move if she gets the chance. Shelby said she was going to nominate Jason and Justin with Justin as her target, but Jason is now safe and will save Justin. Shelby revealed that she trusts Morgan the most though it’s hard to choose between Alex and Morgan. Shelby said she is with the Ball Smashers all the way and Whitney will get her loyalty as long as she doesn’t show that she has flipped. As for her nominee, Shelby said it may end up being Alex since she has the most faith in Alex winning the veto competition. After her diary room session, Shelby spoke with Alex and Morgan in the yoga room. Alex said things feel awkward with Whitney. Morgan figured that it would become less awkward once Whitney is no longer a have-not. Shelby said it may be good for her to make Whitney safe first so that she will come back and start talking game with them. Alex said it might work but Whitney seems so invested in the other side. The sisters said they have to wait until they see how the have-nots go. Shelby told Morgan that she would be playing to pull her down if she nominates her. Alex said the downside of nominating one of them is that the other may end up being America’s Nominee and then they are left with the worst case scenario.

8:00-9:00 PM: Morgan told Shelby that she and Alex are likely to be the have-nots over Danielle. Shelby said she wouldn’t know what to do for her nominee then. Morgan said go with Whitney since of them will for sure be America’s Nominee then. Morgan said the benefit of nominating Whitney is that Justin and Kryssie would use the veto on her and then Shelby could name a replacement nominee. Shelby said she knows that Alex is not into the plan to nominate the first have-not but you are almost safer being on the block. During her live diary room session, Whitney said that as bad as she doesn’t want to turn on the Ball Smashers, she is not afraid to pull the trigger on Alex if she is on the block and the numbers are there to get her out. Whitney said she will be loyal to the Ball Smashers as long as they are loyal to her, though she knows that she is on the bottom of the totem pole with them. Whitney said she would like to go to the end with Justin. Whitney expects to go on the block next to Danielle but she hopes to talk Shelby into nominating Alex instead. Jason’s diary room session was next. He said he is probably going to nominate Danielle and Shelby is probably going to put up Alex, making for a clash of the titans. Jason hopes that Shelby will nominate Whitney instead so that Danielle is more likely to win the veto.

12:00-1:00 AM: In the storage room, Alex, Morgan and Shelby discussed that Justin broke the rules by eating Reese’s cups as a have-not. Shelby told the girls to make sure that they make a big deal about it in the diary room. Morgan said Justin got called into the DR about it earlier. Shelby said she made a fuss about it. Big Brother told the houseguests not to talk about their diary room sessions. Shelby said then don’t let him eat when he’s a have-not. Morgan said anyone else would get a penalty nomination if they were to do that, but it’s funny because it’s Justin. Shelby said it’s not funny. Alex called Justin the golden child. She claimed that she has never seen such bias towards a houseguest. Shelby said Justin is allowed to nap and allowed to eat while a have-not. Shelby thinks that Justin has to be made a have-not for longer or be given a penalty nomination. Shelby pointed out that Justin got to eat Chinese food and pizza during his have-not week due to the parties, yet he still ate food against the rules. Morgan said she ate a “Cheez-It” as a have-not, but that was the hour after she became a have-not and she forgot about it. On the other hand, she said Justin knew what he was doing and told Jason not to tell anyone before he then ate and broke the rules again. Shelby said she is going to keep complaining until Big Brother does something about it. Shelby started crying in the bathroom. She said she hates these people so much. Morgan encouraged Shelby to keep pushing since she won HoH and no one can take that away from her. Shelby said she cannot even put up her own targets anymore, nor can she have the room to herself. Shelby said she is also pissed off that other people get to nap and get to eat while being a have-not, yet they would be punished if they did the same thing.

1:00-2:00 AM: Shelby told Alex and Morgan that she didn’t want to cry but now she is giving Kryssie a run for her money. Alex and Morgan headed to the bedroom. Alex said she loves Shelby but you have to be strong in this game. Alex feels that whining about having your HoH taken away is ridiculous when this is Big Brother. Morgan told Alex that she is looking at it from a superfan’s perspective. Alex said they are mentally tough people. Morgan pointed out that it’s also likely easier for them since they have each other and everyone else is on their own. Alex said half the house are criers and she is not. Alex said she got along with Scott because he didn’t whine and complain about everything. Up in the HoH room, Jason asked Shelby if she had been crying. Shelby said yes and told him she doesn’t want to talk about it or she will start crying again. She then cried some more. Shelby said she is upset that her letter wasn’t from her family. Jason said he doesn’t want to see Shelby like this. Shelby said she is surprised that he hasn’t yet since she has cried six or seven times. Jason again said he doesn’t want to see her like this. Shelby told him to give back his care package then. They laughed about it. Shelby said she finally won a competition and all it did was make her safe for the week before they are both screwed for the double eviction. Jason mentioned that the positive they can take out of it is that they didn’t have a working relationship before this, but now they do. Jason let Shelby know that he is still planning to nominate Danielle. Jason thought that Alex was the most pissed off about Co-HoH. Shelby said sh told Alex that she might put her up. Shelby explained that she wants to claim one of her own people as her nominee so that she can take them down if she wins the veto. Jason suggested that they try to make a decision that will benefit both of their long term games. Jason said he has nothing against Shelby and feels as though they have improved their relationship a lot. Jason proposed that someone from Shelby’s side leaving may not be the worst for her game. Shelby argued that it would leave her in even more trouble come time for the double eviction. Jason said he could protect Shelby with his side. He assured Shelby that the other girls are more threatening in the eyes of his alliance. Jason called Shelby his number one on the opposite side of the house.
