Big Brother: Over The Top Day 48 - Shelby wins the Power of Veto

November 14, 2016

10:00-11:00 AM: America’s Nominee was revealed. America nominated Morgan for eviction, putting her on the block next to Danielle and Jason. Jason thanked America for making it less likely that he will be the one to go this week. Morgan told Shelby that one of them will have to win the veto because she is worried that Justin and Kryssie would back out. Shelby thinks there is a better shot that Justin would use the veto on Morgan than Kryssie would. Morgan said she can tell those two that they can leave the nominations the same in order to hide their alliance, then vote Danielle out. Morgan suggested that Danielle will get the care package if she wins the veto since she will have earned it. For that reason, Shelby said Justin has the biggest incentive to get Danielle out. In the bedroom, Justin told Kryssie that he will use his care package on her if he is able to take one more person to the end with him. Justin said he doesn’t trust Jason anymore and he will not be taking him to the end. Justin pointed out that Jason was the first one to go up to the HoH room, even before Danielle went up there. Justin thinks that Jason threw him under the bus and then tried to place most of the blame on Danielle.

1:00-5:00 PM: The veto competition took place. It was an individually timed competition. The houseguests were given dominoes and had to create a path from the start to the finish using the dominoes. Along the way, the dominoes had to travel through three gates. There was a question at each gate. If you answered incorrectly, you would be given a three minute penalty. The results of the competition were as follows:

Shelby 9:38
Justin 14:18
Jason 14:58
Kryssie 16:06
Morgan 19:37
Danielle 23:13

Shelby won the Power of Veto. Shelby told Morgan that she is now the biggest target in the house but she doesn’t care. Shelby was surprised that she won a physical competition. Morgan told Shelby that they need to convince Justin and Kryssie that they cannot win HoH since they wont want to take Jason out themselves. Morgan said she has got to win HoH. Shelby agreed. Shelby looked at the camera and said “not this time, America. You are not taking another Willett sister away from me!”.

6:00-7:00 PM: Shelby told Morgan that their high risk, high reward plan ended up working. Morgan said they have come too far together for her not to win HoH next week. Morgan wanted to remind Justin and Kryssie that Jason needs to go home next week. Shelby suggested that Morgan could say she is after Jason because he took out her sister, in the event that Justin and Kryssie don’t believe that she is serious about targeting Jason. Morgan worried about being dragged to the finale just because people think that she is a Victoria. Morgan said the next HoH competition will be her chance to make a move and prove herself. Shelby thinks that people will no longer want her in the finale since she is winning competitions. Morgan said Jason still has more of a following than Shelby does. Meanwhile, Jason told Danielle, Justin and Kryssie that Shelby is beasting the end of the game. Justin agreed that she is killing it. Kryssie said she doesn’t understand how Shelby keeps getting such amazing times on everything. Jason called Shelby the Princess of Puzzles and said that she cannot make it to the Final 4 veto competition. Back up in the HoH room, Shelby told Morgan that she will be the first America’s Nominee to be pulled off of the block. They expect that Justin and America will vote to evict Danielle, as will Morgan. As for next week, Morgan hoped that she could show the viewers that she is playing the game and can make a move by convincing Justin and Kryssie to throw the next HoH competition.

9:00-10:00 PM: In the bedroom, Danielle told Kryssie that she has no idea where Shelby’s head is at or if she even cares which one of them goes home this week. Kryssie said she will likely be voting this week since chances are that Shelby will use the veto on Morgan. Kryssie wondered if they should try to force a tie vote. Danielle wasn’t sure that they would even be able to since it would require knowing which way America is going to vote. Kryssie said she will be left to choose between her two best friends in the house.

10:00-11:00 PM: Justin headed up to the HoH room to speak to Shelby. Justin asked how Shelby is doing. Shelby admitted that she is really stressed since everyone will be targeting her next week. Shelby told Justin that hopefully he will remember who delivered him the care package. Justin said he will. Shelby told Justin that he is probably guaranteed a spot in the Final 4 now. Shelby asked if everyone is still on board with voting Danielle out. Justin said he thinks so. He assured Shelby that he will go along with everything that he agreed to. Shelby explained to Justin that the worst it could be is a 2-2 tie and then she will send Danielle home as long as Justin votes her out. Justin told Shelby that Kryssie will not nominate Jason. Shelby told Justin that he will have to win HoH if Morgan doesn’t then. Justin let Shelby know that he cannot guarantee Morgan’s safety over Shelby. Justin asked if Shelby wants to sacrifice herself. Shelby said no but her best case scenario is that they both move on. Justin said it will be hard to protect them both but he will protect Shelby. Justin told Shelby that he would take her to the end because she is an awesome player and she is smart. Justin pointed out that she has now won 2 HoHs and 1 PoV. Shelby admitted that it scares her she will be voted out because of that since it’s the same reason that she is targeting Danielle. Justin said he feels like he can kind of trust Shelby but he cannot trust Jason. Justin let Shelby know that he told Kryssie he cannot trust Jason. He said Kryssie is the only one who has not broken his trust this entire game. Shelby said she feels bad that Kryssie trusts Jason so much when Jason made a deal that left her in the dust. Justin told Shelby that Kryssie believes Jason did it to make Danielle and himself a target and to protect them. Justin said he does not believe that. Justin pointed out that Jason has a huge following and it puts every one of them at a huge disadvantage. Shelby agreed. Justin warned Shelby that people are probably going to come talk to her to sway her even though they know that she is likely going to use the veto on Morgan. Shelby figured that Danielle may try to get her to backdoor Justin, though she will not take the deal. Justin again said that he will protect Shelby but he doesn’t know if he can protect Morgan. Justin said Morgan has played the game the least. Of the people on his side, Justin called Kryssie the weakest player. Shelby said Morgan is her Kryssie and she would like for Jason to go next because it would be best for all of them. Justin said he is in a tough spot because he makes himself sound so believable. Shelby said Jason is good. After the talk wrapped up, Morgan asked Shelby if Justin had anything to say. Shelby said Justin was making sure that she will use the veto on Morgan and thanking her for the deal that they made with him. Shelby told Morgan that Justin is voting Danielle out. Shelby said Jason apparently convinced Kryssie that he threw their names out there in order to protect them. Shelby thinks that Jason is good but Kryssie is bad. Morgan said Kryssie will believing anything that she is told. Morgan wondered if she should tell Kryssie about Alex being her sister in order to gain her trust and pull her away from Jason. Morgan thought that she would have to play it off as though Kryssie is the only one to know. Morgan wasn’t sure if Alex would like the move or not. Shelby suggested that they wont target Morgan for having a sister who is no longer in the house. Downstairs, Justin told Jason that he has had to sell him out on some things. Justin told Jason that he loves him even though he cannot trust him. Justin said he does not want to put Jason on the block and therefore he would like it if Jason could win HoH and then he can win the next one to protect Jason. Jason mentioned that he will have nowhere else to go but to Justin once Danielle is gone, so it would be dumb for Justin to take him out. Justin said he doesn’t want to take Jason out but it is hard for him to trust him. Justin said he doesn’t know what to believe but he thinks that everything will be better once the Wicked Witch of the West is gone.
