Big Brother: Over The Top Day 5 - Monte nominates Jason and Danielle

October 2, 2016

10:00-11:00 AM: Jason told Shelby that he expects to go on the block next to Justin. Shelby thought that she may be nominated. Jason said Shelby might be used as a pawn if Justin wins the veto. Jason said he feels like he gave Monte the pitch of the lifetime, so he doesn’t know what else he could have said. Shelby figures that there has to be another twist coming. She told Jason that it will have to be Jason’s next move. Jason pointed out that Cornbread seems to be Monte’s number two at this point. Up in the HoH room, Cornbread told Monte that his head is on a stick when it comes to Justin. Cornbread let Monte know that Justin said Monte would not put him up if he is smart, because he will win the veto. He also said Justin thinks that Monte would be smart to not come after him until later in the game. Monte agreed and said he is not after Justin right now. Monte revealed that he would rather nominate Danielle than Jason but Jason has been there before. Monte mention that Jason wanted to work with him and with Shane, though he knows that Jason will target him eventually. Monte thought that he could nominate Danielle next to Jason, telling Shane that he needs to put his girl on the block because Kryssie will be gunning for him if she goes up. Monte worried that the girls would want to vote Danielle out if she is nominated next to Jason. Monte thinks that Shane would understand the move since he told him that if Danielle ever went after Monte, it would be like she is coming after him. Monte pointed out that nominating Danielle would take away one of Jason’s votes as well. Shane then joined them. Shane suggested that Monte nominate Shelby. Monte said Alex, Morgan and Whitney like Shelby. When the idea of nominating Danielle was presented to him, Shane said Monte should do that since he doesn’t want to put Shelby up. Monte asked Shane to tell Danielle that they are close and he doesn’t think that she is the target. Monte told Shane he needs to know that he has his back over Danielle. Shane said their bromance comes first. Monte assured Shane that he will try to keep Danielle in the game as long as he can. He thinks that Kryssie, Shelby and possibly Neeley would vote Danielle out, though Jason should still be the one to go. Monte said he thinks that Alex, Morgan and Whitney can be strong allies for them.

11:00-12:00 PM: Monte told Shane that they can run things if they are still there after three weeks and they have successfully been able to evict Jason, Justin and Kryssie. Monte talked about how he doesn’t want to mess with Shelby or her heart, though she is single and he is single. Monte said he wont initiate anything with her but he could control Shelby in terms of making sure that she doesn’t come after him. However, he said that he is closer to Alex, Morgan and Shelby. Down in the bedroom, Jason told Shelby that he has been there before and realizes that when everyone is avoiding someone, there is a reason. Jason observed that everyone has been avoiding him, so he thinks it will come down to him having to win the veto this week. Jason headed to the shower. While in there, Morgan approached him. Morgan said they want Jason to come talk to them. Jason said it’s hard. Morgan asked how Jason’s talk with Monte went. Jason said his problem his season is that he fought the twist, so he encouraged Monte to work with him and weaponize the twist. Jason admitted that he is not making himself looking any better by sitting in the same spot all the time. Jason said he needs people to see the benefit in him and realize that he will be targeted at some point anyway and he would buy people an extra week. Jason said he isn’t sure if he can approach Whitney but he thought that he could approach Alex and Morgan to say something. Morgan said she knows that he is someone that can help even though people are saying he is a vet. Morgan said she would bring that up to Monte if she gets a chance to talk to him.

12:00-1:00 PM: Jason told Danielle that he got avoided like the plague yesterday and it’s pretty much official that he will be going on the block today. Danielle said Shane asked her if she is worried. Danielle said she isn’t that worried and is more worried for her friends such as Jason and Justin. Jason said he is at a point where he cannot be worried for Justin. Danielle understood. She told Jason that she would choose him over Justin if it came down to it. Danielle also said that she would probably use the veto if she were to win it, because she is not there to do what the HoH wants her to do. Danielle explained that she is not going to let someone go that she connected with so easily, since she is there to play her own game. Danielle mentioned that she plans to try to build a relationship with the girls so that she can do a better job of getting them on board with game moves in the future. Danielle said she hates that Monte and Shane are so close. Jason told her that they will drift apart, seeing as Cornbread appears to be Monte’s #2. Jason said he is someone who will remain a target in front of others, including showmances, so it makes sense to keep him. Danielle said she will tell Monte that he will become more of a threat if Jason leaves. Danielle said Shane keeps telling her not to worry, yet she knows that you need to worry when someone tells you that in the Big Brother house.

1:00-2:00 PM: In the bedroom, Alex told Scott that she gets good vibes from him and she always has. Scott said he gets good vibes from her as well. Alex mentioned that she is a huge nerd and she stays home to play video games rather than go out and party. Scott said he is the same way. The two discussed that Danielle is dangerous. Scott said that if he could pick anyone to go home, it would be Danielle. Alex said she would be worried if she were Monte, given that Shane is caught in the middle of him and Danielle. Alex told Scott that she wants to work with him because he is someone who she can strategize with and who knows the game. Scott said the same to Alex. Alex said she sees Monte and Shane as the core group but she also sees Cornbread up in the HoH room all the time. Scott said he thinks that Kryssie and Neeley are the tightest pair aside from Monte and Shane. Alex told Scott that even though everyone thinks she is super tight with the girls, she doesn’t really talk game with them. Alex told Scott that he is one that she can bounce ideas off of and strategize with. The subject then changed to Jason. Scott said he heard that Jason said he cannot trust him. Alex said Monte told her that Jason hates Shelby. That led Scott to wonder if they are trying to set Jason up by saying that he is trying to make deals and talking crap about people. He thought that it was unbelievable that Jason would talk poorly about Shelby. Alex then corrected herself and said she meant that Jason hates Whitney. Scott said he could see that. The two agreed that Jason will win the game if he makes it to the end, so it is the smart move to get him out even though they like him as a person. Up in the HoH room, Monte told Morgan and Whitney that he is now leaning towards nominating Danielle next to Jason. He reiterated that Jason needs to be the one to go. The girls said that they are on board with that. Whitney said she can tell that Danielle has been trying to get closer to the girls. Monte let her know that Shane said Danielle told him that she is going to try to get closer with them. Monte told Morgan and Whitney that if Danielle ends up getting in Shane’s head, it can be the three of them and Alex together. Shelby then spoke to Monte and asked if he doesn’t want to talk game with her. Monte said he is being vague with everyone. He did say there are people coming after him and he doesn’t think that she is one of them. Shelby said she doesn’t appreciate the people who go in there trying to promote things. She mentioned someone was upset that they had to make their social media accounts private, referring to Kryssie. Shelby told Monte that Kryssie cried to everyone last night about how she and Monte are both musicians yet Monte wont talk to her about it. Monte said it’s nothing personal but she hangs out with the smokers a lot and he does not want to be around the second hand smoke.

2:00-3:00 PM: Jason told Monte that he felt like he had the plague yesterday. He said he wont be mad at Monte no matter what happens today. Jason reminded Monte about his pitch that he should weaponize the twist. He added that once you take out a target, you move up the list. Jason acknowledged that he would be an easy first target but said he would like Monte to consider him as a benefit to him. Monte said he respects that Jason is one of the more bold people to come up to his HoH room. Monte told Jason he feels like he is already a target. Jason pointed out that he will only move up the list if he takes him out. Jason said he knows that he cannot win the game being the only veteran, so his time will come. Jason assured Monte that he will have his loyalty even if he nominates him and finds a way to keep him safe. Monte told Jason that there will be massive respect for him even if he goes on the block. Jason said he will give Monte the handshake of all handshakes that he will be safe the next time he wins HoH as long as he stays this week. Jason explained that he will remain a target even over the Shane and Danielle showmance, so keeping him around will offer Shane protection. Before leaving, Jason reiterated that he will pay Monte back and he will not go after him if he stays. Jason said he needs to align with someone strong since the only person that likes him is Kryssie and she is not going to win anything. After Jason left, Monte told Cornbread that he really likes Jason. Monte said he is almost 100% certain that the nominees will be Danielle and Jason. He thinks that getting Jason out is a bold move but it makes the most sense. Monte explained that he would not put Jason on the block if not for him being a vet, though he is probably going home unless he wins the veto. Monte said Danielle is the person who he connects with the least in the house. Cornbread said he feels bad about Shelby, because he is seeing that she is just misunderstood the more he is around her.

3:00-4:00 PM: Monte and Whitney spoke about Jason. Whitney said he is sneaky and because she didn’t even see Jason go up to the HoH room. Monte said that’s why he is glad that he is getting him out. Monte said Jason doesn’t like Whitney and he is already talking about targeting him and Shane. He added that getting Jason out will level the playing field for everybody. Whitney said that she wants Jason out for her own game as well. Whitney wondered if Danielle would expect Shane to use the veto on her if he wins it. Whitney thinks that Shane would be able to convince her that he doesn’t need to use it. Monte said he doesn’t know who he would put up if Shane did use it.

4:00-5:00 PM: Out in the hammock, Shelby told Neeley that she would want to get rid of someone who is a threat if she gets in power. Shelby talked about how she had told Monte that she wouldn’t want to work against the psychical threats. As for mental threats, Shelby said that Scott is someone who she sees as a secret genius. Shelby told Neeley that she is expecting to go on the block as the pawn, though she needs to stop talking about it or it will become a self fulfilling prophecy. Shelby then spoke to Morgan and Whitney, telling them that they should get together with Alex later to talk. Whitney said she thinks that Monte suspects Danielle is working with Jason and he may nominate Danielle because he is so worried about his relationship with Shane.

5:00-6:00 PM: Up in the HoH room, Monte and Shane discussed how to approach Danielle after the nominations take place. Shane is planning on acting as though he did not know that Danielle would be nominated. Monte suggested that he tell Danielle that he doesn’t think she is the target and he is pretty sure that Monte is trying to get Jason out. Monte asked Shane if he is planning on using the veto on Danielle if he wins it, since he would pretty much have to. Shane said that he wouldn’t use it since they are going to vote Jason out anyway.

6:00-7:00 PM: Alex, Morgan and Shelby spoke in the storage room. Alex said Monte has Cornbread, Scott and Shane all thinking that they are part of a pair with him. Shelby said the four girls need to have each other’s backs and then they can go around splitting up the other groups in the house. Alex said they need to form a power alliance next week and figure out who they want out, not who Monte or Shane want out. After Shelby left, Alex, Morgan and Whitney discussed that they want to tell Shelby stuff but they don’t know if they should. Alex said that they should form an alliance with Shelby to make her feel comfortable, though they should not share as much information with her as they do with each other. Morgan let Alex know that Monte is planning to nominate Danielle as a pawn. Alex celebrated and asked if she can vote her out. Whitney said Shane asked if they have Danielle’s back. Alex said to tell him whatever he wants to hear at this point. Whitney said she thinks that Monte trusts them more than he trusts Shane. In order to keep Monte on their side, Alex thought that it may be best to go along with the plan to vote Jason out this week. Whitney then left. Alex told Morgan that she trusts Monte but she doesn’t trust him 100%. Alex said they will have to take Monte out eventually because he is way too dangerous. Morgan agreed. Both sisters said that Shane needs to go first. Alex asked what she should do if people ask her what her last name is. Morgan said she will make up a new last name, so Alex can use the real one. Morgan let Alex know that Justin has asked her multiple times if she is Alex or Morgan, so they cannot be seen together around him. Alex told Morgan to wear makeup and fake eyelashes, piling on the makeup like she normally does. Currently, Alex thinks that Morgan is looking too much like her. She told Morgan not to wear glasses anymore either. Alex then spoke to Monte briefly. She was filled in on the plan to nominate Danielle as a pawn.

7:00-8:00 PM: The safety ceremony took place. Monte saved Justin, Alex, Kryssie, Shelby and Scott. Monte nominated Danielle and Jason for eviction. Danielle teared up after learning that she had been nominated. Monte headed downstairs from the HoH room. He said that sucked because they have only been there for five days and now he is the evil guy. Monte told the nominees that it is nothing personal. He told Jason that he is cool, has guts and has his respect, but being a vet makes him a threat. As for Danielle, Monte said she is smart, pretty and everybody seems to like her. In the bedroom, Justin told Danielle to try not to worry too much. Justin told Danielle that she will have to win the veto. Danielle worried that the house would not keep her if she remains on the block next to Jason. Shane told Danielle that Jason is a vet and is more of a target than she is. Danielle said Monte may want her out in order to get Shane closer to him. Shane said doing that would cause him to do the opposite. Danielle said she will not feel safe unless she gets the veto. Shane told her that he will use the veto on her if he wins it. If not, he said he will have the votes for Jason to leave. Neeley joined them and told Danielle that she really wants them to be successful as strong black women. Neeley pointed out that a black woman has never won the game and America doesn’t see the best of them. Neeley told Danielle that she wants her to win and be successful, though people want them to fight and be catty. Neeley told Danielle that she wants her to know she supports her.

8:00-9:00 PM: Julie made an announcement to the houseguests. She said that those who are not currently on the chopping block are not out of the woods just yet. Julie explained that the viewers will be voting to nominate a third houseguest for eviction each week. Julie said America will not be allowed to nominate the same houseguest two weeks in a row. If America’s nominee is saved by a veto or a care package, there will not be a replacement nominee. That means that there could be two or three houseguests on the block come eviction night. Danielle spoke to Monte in the HoH room. Monte explained that it wasn’t a personal move and he believes that people will want to take Jason out. He said Jason is a threat because he has played the game before. Danielle asked if Monte would use the veto on her. Monte said if it comes down to the two of them, he might be able to do that. Monte assured Danielle that he would break a tie in her favour if it came down to it. Monte said he thought that she would understand the move since he is buddies with Shane and he would not take Danielle out when it would harm that relationship. Danielle said she gets it. Danielle let Monte know that she would like to work with him and with Shane.

10:00-11:00 PM: Alex told Morgan that she cannot work with her. She said she keeps trying to get ahold of her but Morgan wont pay attention. Morgan said she is trying not to be obvious. Alex said she doesn’t think it’s obvious and she has been trying not to hang out with Morgan today. Alex said she is worried that Justin will catch on to them. Alex told Morgan to stop taking her makeup off. Alex said she has been wearing a hat and glasses all day to disguise herself. Alex told Morgan she feels as though she cannot have a personality right now because she is so scared that Morgan will slip up and say something if she shares a story or anything. Alex said it would be so much easier if she was there by herself, though she is glad that Morgan is there with her. Alex thinks that they will be able to lie if someone calls them out, so long as they don’t slip up at any point. Out in the backyard, Jason said that if the fans don’t like what Monte did, Monte’s best friend is going to be in trouble. Shane asked if he is talking about him. Jason said Shane had better hope that Monte has got a better friend than him. Jason said he will be snatching wigs if he doesn’t win the veto competition tomorrow. He explained that during his talk with Monte, Monte indirectly made it clear that he will be voted out if he doesn’t win the veto.

12:00-1:00 AM: Jason told Justin that Monte is afraid of him and will make one of the girls nominate him so that he doesn’t have to. Jason said he doesn’t get what more he could have offered Monte to stay safe this week. Justin said he doesn’t want Danielle nor Jason to leave. Jason hoped that the veto competition would be something he could win because Danielle is not leaving regardless. Jason told Justin that he will be the next target once he leaves, then the show will have nothing to it. Jason let Justin know his secret that he was voted in over another alumni. Justin said it’s because Jason is so entertaining. Justin pointed out that he will be the only one left to entertain if Jason goes. Justin said Jason keeps him entertained. Jason said he is annoyed because he can’t even fight since there isn’t a corner for him to get into and fight. Jason told Justin that he doesn’t trust Scott or Shelby. Justin called Scott a mastermind and said he knows everything. Both agreed that Scott likely spilled the beans. Scott then joined them. Jason said Monte is tunnelling so hard on him. Scott said he loves Jason but he cannot stick his neck out too far for him. Jason said he doesn’t expect anyone to do that.
