Big Brother: Over The Top Day 8 - Cornbread is evicted; Alex wins HoH
October 5, 2016
10:00-11:00 AM: Scott told Shane he spoke to Monte last night and found out that Monte is still on board with working together moving forward even if Cornbread goes. Scott said he is happy about that. Scott told Shane that the three of them can still steamroll pretty well. Danielle then spoke to Shane about the plan to evict Cornbread. She said that she cannot see Scott lying to them. She is confident that the other four votes are solid, so they just need America to vote for Cornbread. Danielle said she feels like she can trust Scott because he is a very open book. Monte joined them. Monte asked who they want to win HoH. Danielle said she wouldn’t mind Jason winning because she knows he wants Shelby out. Shane said Morgan would be a safe bet too. Monte said he could talk to Morgan for them. Danielle added Danielle’s name into the mix. Monte said he is good with Neeley. Danielle asked if the girls are voting Cornbread out. Monte said he thinks so, so the only drama is going to be during the HoH competition tonight. Danielle and Shane laughed after Monte left the room. Danielle said Monte is always scheming. Monte spoke to Morgan next. He said there is no way for them to get anyone but Cornbread out. They both agreed that Cornbread has no idea that it’s about to happen. Monte said Scott backstabbed Cornbread and that’s what killed him. Monte let Morgan know that he spoke to Danielle and Shane and he doesn’t think that one person is coming after him. He said Morgan is likely good too, though the other girls could get targeted. Monte said the consensus of the house is that they do not want him going anywhere, so he can keep her safe if she stick with him. Monte assured Morgan that he will not turn on her for Shane and Danielle. Morgan said she is so confused where Scott’s head is at. Monte explained that Scott hates Cornbread even though the two of them, Shane and himself made an agreement not to target each other on the first night. Monte and Morgan expect Scott to remain loyal to Monte. Morgan suggested that Monte stay close with Shane and she stay close with the girls in order to keep each other safe. Monte said he is choosing Morgan to be closest to in the game. Monte said he wants the two of them, Shane, Whitney and Alex to be together at the end.
11:00-12:00 PM: Shane told Scott the ideal target for next week is Shelby. Scott said he would almost prefer to target someone like Whitney because she could be a threat. Scott said he is totally cool with taking Shelby out next week. Scott said he hopes that Shane would not go after Monte if he were to win HoH. Shane said that move wouldn’t make sense and it would show that Jason is an emotional player. Scott said it would be their worst case scenario if Jason were to win and choose to target Monte instead of the girls.
1:00-2:00 PM: Shelby told Alex that she thinks Monte sees he doesn’t have a true ally in Shane as long as Danielle is there. She also thinks he sees that his HoH week did not go according to plan since he had to put three people up and none of them are going home. Shelby said Monte’s ally is going home. Alex and Shelby agreed that Shane would choose Danielle over Monte. Alex said she doesn’t get why people aren’t alarmed by Shane and Danielle. Alex said it blows her mind that Danielle can be put on the block and run her half of the house. Alex said she would probably nominate Danielle and Shane in order to break up the showmance early on. Alex pointed out that Neeley is no one’s target. Shelby said she doesn’t trust her and therefore she may put her up. Alex asked Shelby if she thinks Morgan or Whitney would ever flip. Shelby said she trusts Morgan more because Whitney is not always there with them, though it’s almost better that she isn’t. Alex told Shelby that they are the easy targets right now because all of their guys flipped. Alex mentioned that Scott is really smart and she doesn’t think that people realize it. Shelby argued that they do. Alex said they all love him. Shelby said if only they were able to flip one person to vote against Kryssie, they would have the numbers to get Danielle out.
4:00-5:00 PM: Monte told Cornbread that he doesn’t have a vote so he will not be able to vote to keep him. Monte said he doesn’t know which way the house is going to vote. Monte let Cornbread know that his honest read is that it will be a close vote. Meanwhile, Whitney asked the girls if they feel horrible about the vote. Morgan said she did. Whitney said it’s so closes and she wishes that there was something they could do. Shelby thought that their only hope would be to convince Scott to vote out Kryssie. Alex said it wont happen. Morgan pointed out that Scott is working with everyone. Alex agreed. Whitney asked if they think that America will vote Cornbread out. The sisters both expect America to do so.
5:00-6:00 PM: Cornbread told Scott he hopes that everything will go according to plan. He mentioned that a few people have told him he is good. Cornbread said he didn’t think about the possibility of leaving until Monte told him several people have said they want to go the other way and he doesn’t know what’s going to happen. Scott pointed out that their group of four only has two votes. Cornbread said he is overweight and you should want to keep him in the game. Scott said that’s the obvious assumption and he thinks that it will go well. After Cornbread left the room, Scott spoke to himself about how this will be one for the ages. He said it’s going to be 10-0. Scott called himself a terrible person. He said he needs to follow through with the HoH win tonight, so that he can get Kryssie out. Scott explained that he knows Kryssie wants to nominate him as a pawn next to Shelby. Scott said Shelby is his number and he is not going to let that happen. He also said he wont let Jason reel Shelby in. He said Jason burned his bridge with Shelby today and he will be sure to point that out to her. Scott said Jason told Shelby that he didn’t know who was going to leave even though everyone knew as of last night. Morgan then spoke to Monte in the storage room. Justin eavesdropped on Monte’s conversation with Morgan as well as the one with Scott. Monte assured Morgan that he will not backstab her or Whitney. He said he wants to get to the end with those two. Monte said he is with Shane but he doesn’t give a crap about Danielle. Morgan then spoke to Shelby about how Monte is dumb to trust Justin and Shane. Shelby said Justin and Shane were eavesdropping on Monte’s conversation. Morgan told Shelby to let Monte know that, which he did. Monte responded with “screw that guy (Justin)” and said he hated Justin ever since he walked through the door. Monte said that makes him want to get Danielle out right now.
8:00-9:00 PM: The live eviction took place. Cornbread was evicted by a vote of 9-1-0. Alex cast the lone vote against Danielle. She said she wanted to create some paranoia. Jason said people pulled that on his season all the time, looking to frame someone for the next week. Danielle assumed that America voted against her. She said she doesn’t know why. Shelby spoke to Scott about Justin eavesdropping on his conversation with Monte. Scott said that’s fine cause he doesn’t have anything to hide. Scott told Shelby that she has to fight for HoH because Jason is trying to snow her. They discussed that it made no sense for Jason to lie about who was going home. Monte told Morgan that it sucks because Danielle could have gone home if the four girls voted her out, since America voted her out. Morgan agreed. Monte said he knew they would do that.
9:00-12:00 AM: The HoH competition took place. It was an endurance competition in which the houseguests had to use a sword to hold up a crown on a photo of themselves. The results were as follows:
Shelby 9:17 (14 minutes)
Jason 9:23 (20 minutes)
Shane 9:37 (34 minutes)
Morgan 10:05 (1 hour 2 minutes)
Scott 10:09 (1 hour 6 minutes)
Kryssie 10:13 (1 hour 10 minutes)
Danielle 10:30 (1 hour 27 minutes)
Whitney 11:02 (1 hour 59 minutes)
Justin 11:13 (2 hours 10 minutes)
Neeley 11:27 (2 hours 24 minutes)Alex became the new HoH. During the competition, Justin said he was “coming for that ass” in reference to Monte. Monte told him to bring it. Towards the end, Alex offered Neeley a deal, saying she would keep her safe and Neeley could share the room with her and help pick a nominee. Neeley declined the deal but said she would not nominate Alex no matter what. Alex said the same to Neeley.
12:00-1:00 AM: Alex told Monte, Morgan, Shelby and Whitney that her targets are Danielle, Justin and Shane but she isn’t sure on the order. Monte said he hopes that all three will be put up. Monte said nobody else will win the veto if he competes. Monte told the girls that they are the only ones he trusts now. Monte asked Alex who she is thinking about nominating. He suggested that they should maybe leave Danielle off of the block so that America can nominate her. Whitney told Monte that America will probably nominate him. They are under the assumption that America voted Danielle out, though it was Alex. Alex said they cannot count on America’s vote every week. Monte suggested nominating Justin and Jason. Alex said her gut is telling her to nominate Danielle and Shane. She said she wants to target the showmance. Whitney said she was thinking the same thing.
