BBCAN3 Day 59 - Ashleigh wins the Power of Veto
May 16, 2015
11:00-12:00 PM: The houseguests were woken up for the day. Brittnee spoke to Sarah in the HoH room. We found out that Ashleigh had won the Power of Veto last night. Sarah discussed that they can tell Pilar that they don’t have to worry about which way Godfrey will vote, since Brittnee is voting Zach out and then Pilar will only need Ashleigh’s vote. Sarah said that it will not be her fault if Pilar goes home this week. She felt that it would be Ashleigh’s fault.
12:00-1:00 PM: Brittnee, Sarah and Godfrey chatted in the HoH room. Sarah asked Godfrey if he was upset about the whole Bruno thing, since they didn’t ever talk about it. Godfrey said that he was upset since they were supposed to vote Zach out, though he knows that the girls felt that Bruno had more control over Ashleigh and Pilar than Zach did. They then discussed the plan for next week once Zach is gone. Sarah said that Ashleigh needs to go before Pilar. She pointed out that Ashleigh has plenty of friends on the jury. Sarah said that everyone but Sindy knows how smart Ashleigh is, since they all worked with her. She also noted that Ashleigh is now winning competitions, so she can pitch that she threw competitions at the start, aligned with the people on the jury, and then won when she needed to. Godfrey said that Ashleigh seems like an airhead from afar but those that talked game with her all along know how smart she is. Sarah also mentioned that the jurors will likely be resentful of Brittnee and herself due to the secret power. Sarah explained that Brittnee would have left and then she would have followed her out right after.
Zach told Godfrey that he is out the door. He asked Godfrey who Sarah is putting up beside him. Godfrey said that he talked to Sarah and she told him that Pilar is going up. Zach said that makes sense. Godfrey asked Zach if he thinks that Ashleigh would vote for him. Zach said that it would depend on which side Godfrey decides to roll with. Godfrey mentioned that Ashleigh could easily screw him by voting to keep Pilar, implying that he would be the only vote for Zach. Zach advised Godfrey to speak to Ashleigh and figure it out, which Godfrey said that he would do. Meanwhile, Sarah asked Ashleigh if she thinks that Pilar will be upset if she has to put her up. Ashleigh said that she doesn’t know. Sarah explained that it’s not that she doesn’t trust Ashleigh and Pilar but rather that she feels that they would be tempted to keep Zach. Sarah said that even she would be tempted to keep Zach. Sarah pointed out that Brittnee is voting Zach out and would even tell Zach to his face if it makes Pilar feel better, so she only has to put her faith in Ashleigh. Ashleigh said that she realizes that Zach needs to go. Ashleigh told Sarah that Pilar may be a bit emotional about going up but hopefully she can look past it moving forward. Sarah said that she will reiterate that the girls need to trust each other since one of them will have to go up next week even if they win HoH.
3:00-4:00 PM: Feeds were down for a while. When they returned, we found out that Ashleigh and Godfrey received their reward for winning the Pizza Pizza task earlier this week. They each had a family member visit them in the backyard for two minutes. Ashleigh saw her mom and Godfrey got to see his sister.
4:00-5:00 PM: Godfrey spoke to Zach, suggesting that he talk to Ashleigh and see what she is leaning towards in terms of the vote. Zach said that he feels like he could convince Ashleigh to keep him but he doesn’t know where Godfrey’s head would be at. Godfrey said that if Ashleigh is legit then they could do it. Zach told Godfrey that it would then be the three of them against Brittnee and Sarah. Up in the HoH room, Pilar asked Sarah if she knows what she is going to do yet. Sarah asked Pilar if she would hate her for putting her up. Pilar said no but being on the block is being on the block, so you are never safe. Sarah explained that she is sure of Brittnee’s vote and that Pilar would then just have to rely on Ashleigh to keep her. Pilar said that Ashleigh would keep her. Sarah pointed out that it would be tempting for the girls to keep Zach if neither of them were on the block, so it’s the safest move to nominate Pilar. Pilar said that she understands and that Sarah has to do what is best for her game. Sarah told her that it’s best for everyone since they need to get Zach out. Brittnee joined them and gave Pilar her word that she will not vote to keep Zach.
Zach went to Ashleigh to tell her that Godfrey said that he would keep him if Ashleigh would. He said that he is considering using that late tonight when he is in the have-not room with Brittnee. He would tell Brittnee that he thinks that he has the chance to stay, because Godfrey told him that he will keep him if Ashleigh will. He would explain that Godfrey feels used by Sarah, since Godfrey said that they pretty much told him that he has to vote Zach out if he doesn’t go on the block. Zach hopes that it will create paranoia and that Brittnee will run to Sarah with that information, causing them to question Godfrey’s vote and nominate him instead. Zach said that he plans to hang around Godfrey all day in order to make sure that Sarah sees him with Godfrey. The other half of the plan involved having Pilar sell it to Sarah that she is concerned about Godfrey and also about Ashleigh. Zach told Pilar about it all. He encouraged her to sell it that Ashleigh is being super indecisive about her vote, while she knows that she has to break Ashleigh and Zach up but can only do so if she is not nominated. Zach didn’t want Brittnee and Sarah to have a chance to talk to Godfrey, so he doesn’t want the plan to be put in place until the last minute tomorrow morning, after he talks to Brittnee late tonight.
Ashleigh and Pilar then went to the bedroom to discuss what Pilar can say to Sarah. They mentioned that Pilar can say that Godfrey knows that he will be next to go if Zach leaves. Ashleigh also wanted Pilar to play on the fact that she is emotional right now, since everyone knows that she is after the visit from her mom. They planned to to have Pilar say that Ashleigh is now being indecisive and is saying that she doesn’t know which way she is going to vote. Pilar was concerned that this would be a big lie and damage their relationship with Brittnee and Sarah. Ashleigh told her that Zach would still be the target over the two of them. She then brought up that she knows that Zach would take Ashleigh, not her, to the Final 2. Pilar said that she would not be able to forgive herself if that happened. She said that she does trust Zach and does want to keep him but this is a move to help him. Ashleigh told Pilar that there is a lot of game left before the Final 3. Pilar said that Ashleigh is right.
Godfrey went to the HoH room to chat with Brittnee and Sarah. He said that he is feeling pretty good about this week. Sarah wondered if Ashleigh would use the veto on Zach. Brittnee said that Ashleigh is going home if she does that. Godfrey said who knows, since Zach has quite some control over Ashleigh. Godfrey told the girls that Zach was talking to him and asked if he could get Godfrey’s vote if he is able to get Ashleigh’s. Sarah asked if Godfrey said yes. Godfrey said that he told Zach no because he feels like he owes Brittnee after she saved him from the block. Sarah said that it’s good that Godfrey told Zach straight up. Brittnee asked what Zach’s argument is at this point. Godfrey said that it is that Brittnee and Sarah would beat him in the Final 2 if he went with them. Brittnee pointed out that the other side has a bunch of friends on the jury, while the three of them are in a similar boat. Godfrey told the girls that there is no pitch that Zach could make that would result in it making sense for him to keep Zach. Godfrey assured them that he will be voting Zach out. Sarah said that she doesn't even doubt him for a second.
6:00-7:00 PM: Zach told Godfrey that if he can convince Ashleigh to keep her then he will get Ashleigh to talk to Godfrey about it. Godfrey asked Zach not to tell Ashleigh that he is set on keeping him yet, because he doesn’t want her to think that he is ready to send her friend out. Godfrey told Zach that the two of them have the lowest odds of winning right now. He said that he finds it hard to believe that the girls would evict Pilar before him. He mentioned that at least with Ashleigh he could point out that she has a lot of friends in jury. Zach assured Godfrey that he would not be going home next week if he is still in the house with him. Godfrey also said that Brittnee and Sarah wont play nice next week if Ashleigh or Pilar win, as they will then say that he has to go. Zach agreed. Zach asked Godfrey if Brittnee and Sarah think that he is for sure voting to evict him. Godfrey said yeah and explained that he had to say it so that he would not be harassed all day. Godfrey told Zach that he will give Ashleigh the benefit of the doubt that she would make the smart decision, though he is worried about how much she has been promising Pilar.
7:00-8:00 PM: Zach told Ashleigh that she will need to throw some indecisiveness at Sarah, saying that she doesn’t know if it’s best for her game to get rid of him. He suggested that she say that emotionally she wants to keep Pilar but it may not be best. Zach said that the girls left him alone with Godfrey by the hot tub, so he will say that it was then that Godfrey said that he would keep him if Ashleigh would. Zach then began giving Ashleigh advice for in the event that he leaves. He told her to nominate Brittnee and Sarah next week. Ashleigh’s response was “duh”. Zach said not to let the girls convince her or Pilar not to put them up. Ashleigh said that she wont. Zach believes that it’s best to get rid of Sarah first, seeing as nobody would want to take Brittnee to the end since she has won comps and gotten rid of so many people. Ashleigh wasn’t sure if anyone would take Sarah either, but Zach said that getting rid of Brittnee would force their hands. He also suggested that Ashleigh keep Godfrey around as long as possible, getting rid of both Brittnee and Sarah before him, since he is so bad in competitions.
9:00-10:00 PM: The houseguests got outfits and had to do a rap about the season. They rehearsed it over and over again before they felt that they had nailed it, about 30 minutes later.
11:00-12:00 AM: After the rap had ended, the houseguests sat around in their outfits and wondered what was next. Eventually they were let out into the backyard. A number of clues awaited the houseguests. The clues were random things such as “60”, “stop”, “B.” and an image of a stopwatch. A ticking clock sound played over the speakers. A voice, that the houseguests identified as Bruno’s, also played and said “you guys look sick!”. Godfrey told the others that he thinks that the clues have something to do with the vault for sure. He then went to the vault and said that he heard someone talking in there. The others joined him to listen in.
12:00-1:00 AM: Minutes after the houseguests said that they heard voices in the vault, the vault opened. The houseguests found keys awaiting them. The keys had numbers on them. The numbers led the houseguests to different safety deposit boxes. Inside of the boxes were more clues. The houseguests laid all of the clues out on the floor and did not know what to make of them. Two of the clues were a “B.” and an “I.”, which are Bruno’s initials, so the speculation began that Bruno may be returning. The houseguests heard Big Brother say “Bruno”. They rushed to the HoH room because they thought that it was played in that room. They found nothing there, but Zach then went to the pantry and found a photo of Bruno’s children as well as his brace. Brittnee said that she will be gone right away if Bruno returns. Some of the others, such as Zach, thought that there was no way that Bruno would come back. Godfrey went to the pantry by himself and talked to the camera. He said that people are losing their minds. He said that it’s time make them go crazy. He then rejoined the others in the living room.
1:00-2:00 AM: The houseguests were being called to the diary room one at a time. Sarah was getting frustrated with and said that she thought this was going to be a fun thing but nothing is never fun. Sarah said that Bruno should just come on out. Brittnee agreed, saying “just do it already”. Ashleigh asked if anyone had checked the pantry lately. Sarah said that she is over it. Big Brother called Godfrey to the DR again, which led Pilar to question if it is a task. Ashleigh pointed out that Godfrey has been extra annoying tonight. Ashleigh thought that maybe Godfrey had a task to get them riled up. Sarah said that she will kill Godfrey if that is the case. Pilar said that Godfrey did well if it was a task. Feeds then went down. When they returned, the houseguests were out by the pool. Godfrey did indeed have a task. They were given food and alcohol. After they finishes their drinks, the houseguests went into the pool and then into the hot tub.
2:00-3:00 AM: Ashleigh asked Pilar if she is going to speak to Sarah in the morning. She said that she would but implied that she doesn’t expect Sarah to buy it and put Godfrey up. Pilar then said that people may change their minds and send her out. Ashleigh questioned why she would ever vote Pilar out. Pilar asked Ashleigh if she would. Ashleigh said no and told Pilar that she is not going anywhere. She stressed that they will need to win HoH this week and whichever of them does not win needs to win the week after.
3:00-4:00 AM: Godfrey and Sarah chatted in the hot tub. They discussed the need to break up Ashleigh and Pilar next week. Sarah said that Ashleigh needs to go first. Sarah pointed out that they will have the numbers next week if they send Zach out. Godfrey said that Zach is gone as long as there is not a twist. Sarah mentioned that they cannot look at it and say that Ashleigh and Pilar did not play the game, because they did and it was just not with them. Godfrey brought up that there is a better chance that Sarah and Brittnee cut each other to take him than having Ashleigh or Pilar do the same thing. Sarah said that she doesn’t want to say too much but Godfrey knows how logical she is. She also said that she knows that the thought has went through Brittnee’s mind.
4:00-5:00 AM: Zach told Ashleigh that he wants to stay in this game and keep fighting, though he sees everything as logical decisions and knows that Brittnee and Sarah want to get him out. He told Ashleigh that he wants her to keep her but he sees that Ashleigh can beat Pilar in the end and she will take her to the end. He did say that her chances of getting further with him in the game are way better, seeing as he would remain the number one target. Ashleigh said that she knows. Zach pointed out that Godfrey plays a big factor in it, since if he isn’t on board it’s done. Zach told Ashleigh that Godfrey would take her to the end over him if he is serious about a Final 3. Zach said that Godfrey expects Ashleigh to play emotionally and keep Pilar. Ashleigh felt that the emotional decision would be to keep Zach. Ashleigh asked if Zach is going to have his conversation with Brittnee tonight. Zach was unsure if it was worth, given that he might ruin his chances with Godfrey. Zach let Ashleigh know that he doesn’t want to put her in a tough spot but he can’t just roll over either so he needs to present the alternative side to her.
