Big Brother 20 Day 16 - Steve is evicted; Kaitlyn wins HoH
July 5, 2018
10:00-11:00 AM: Tyler told Kaitlyn that their crew is trying to turn him against her. Tyler said they don’t trust her. Tyler explained that Swaggy came to him and said she is a cannonball, so he needs to figure out who she is voting for. Kaitlyn asked when Swaggy said that. Tyler said it just happened. Kaitlyn said she is voting for Steve to stay. Tyler told her she cannot do that, cause he knows who has the power. Tyler said Kaitlyn will be screwed if she votes for Sam to go. Tyler said the power is on Brett and Winston’s side, and it’s going to be used. Tyler assured Kaitlyn that people trust her on the Brett and Winston side of the house. Kaitlyn said she cannot even believe that she is considering this right now. Tyler said the two of them are not wanted on Swaggy’s side. Kaitlyn told Tyler that she will be put up if she votes to keep Sam. Tyler disagreed. He said the power is on Sam’s side. He said the power will not be used if Kaitlyn keeps Sam, but it will be used if she keeps Steve, and then whoever votes to keep Steve will be screwed. Kaitlyn questioned why she would be the one in trouble. Tyler said she would have been a vote for Steve. Tyler reassured Kaitlyn that Brett and Winston’s side will protect her. Kaitlyn said she will need to hear it from them in order to believe it. Faysal came upstairs to break up the conversation.
11:00-12:00 PM: Kaitlyn told Brett and Winston that she needs them to be loyal to her. Winston said 100%. Kaitlyn then told Haleigh that Swaggy straight up told Tyler that she is at the bottom of the alliance, and she is next. Kaitlyn clarified that she loves Haleigh and will always have her back. Haleigh said she wants to do whatever Kaitlyn is doing. Kaitlyn explained that Brett has the power, and whoever votes Steve out is going to be screwed. Haleigh told Kaitlyn that the group has never discussed that Kaitlyn is at the bottom or not trustworthy. Kaitlyn reiterated that Tyler said Swaggy came to him to say that she is a liability and no one trusts her. Haleigh said everyone would know that they flipped if they do it. Kaitlyn said Tyler told her that they will have her back if she denies it. Haleigh said she is not welcome on the other side. Kaitlyn said that’s not true. Kaitlyn listed off the people on the other side. She counted 10 of them if the two of them flip. Kaitlyn said they can practice their acting skills, not telling anyone that they flipped, and blame it on the power being used. Haleigh pointed out that Sam will be staying if Kaitlyn flips, and her vote isn’t even needed. Kaitlyn said maybe Haleigh should vote to keep Steve, but Haleigh was worried that the power would hurt her if she does that. Rockstar joined them. Kaitlyn told her that Tyler said something bad is going to happen if she doesn’t keep Sam. Kaitlyn suggested that Brett using his power will result in consequences for those who vote to keep Steve. Rockstar questioned if Tyler is not just playing a good game. Kaitlyn believed what Tyler said 100%. Rockstar asked if they are letting Brett run them. Kaitlyn said Swaggy has been saying he runs their alliance, and she will let Brett run her since he has the power. Kaitlyn said she will be voting to keep Sam, and she will deny it until the day she dies. Haleigh and Rockstar discussed that they don’t know what to do. Haleigh didn’t understand how the power could impact the voters since voting is confidential. Rockstar agreed. Haleigh and Rockstar asked Kaitlyn if she thinks that the other side could just be trying to break them up. Kaitlyn said no. Big Brother then called an HoH lockdown. Rockstar commented to Haleigh that they have said the same things about Kaitlyn. Haleigh said they didn’t go tell someone else though, and everything would have went smoothly if Swaggy had kept his mouth shut.
1:00-2:00 PM: After the HoH lockdown ended, JC and Winston spoke join the storage room. Winston asked JC if they are voting Steve out. JC said yeah. Meanwhile, Kaitlyn spoke to the cameras. She wondered if it’s too early to not show her loyalty. Kaitlyn hoped that someone would feed her some sort of energy to tell her what to do. She asked to be called to the diary room to talk. Kaitlyn headed to the storage room to talk to Brett and Winston. She said everyone is going to come after her if she keeps Sam. Brett and Winston asked Kaitlyn to trust them. She said only if Swaggy will go home, cause she is done with them. The guys agreed. Kaitlyn asked for eye contact from them. Once she got it, she said that she is voting Steve out. Steve then checked in with Winston. He said he feels good and thinks that it should be 9-4. Winston told Steve he thinks that he is fine, so relax. Steve then spoke to Kaitlyn. Steve said Brett and Winston are trying to take their shot, and they thought that they had Bayleigh flipped. Steve said she is not going to flip, but that’s why Angela had a dumb smile on her face all day yesterday. Steve said he cannot wait to wipe it off. In the have-not room, Winston let Angela know that Kaitlyn has locked in her vote to evict Steve. Winston worried that while on the HoH lockdown, Kaitlyn said she wants to know that Swaggy will be targeted. Winston said Scottie was pretending to sleep right next to them, so he might be on to Kaitlyn flipping.
2:00-3:00 PM: Tyler let Brett know that Kaitlyn was telling people that she is thinking about keeping Sam. Brett questioned why she would do that. He said the plan will not work if that happens. Tyler said he told Kaitlyn to go tell Haleigh and Rockstar that she is voting to evict Sam. Tyler did some damage control himself as well. In the have-not room, Kaitlyn told Haleigh and Rockstar that she clearly just misunderstood everything that Tyler was saying. She said she asked Tyler if he told Rockstar that the plan is still the same, and he said yes cause it is. Haleigh said Kaitlyn has almost given her a heart attack earlier. Kaitlyn then spoke to Tyler. She asked if he can tell her what the power is. Tyler said not yet. Kaitlyn asked if something is going to happen tonight. Tyler said it will if she votes to evict Sam. Kaitlyn said she is going to evict Steve. Tyler told Kaitlyn that she will have to say she voted to evict Sam. He mentioned that he has been putting it in people’s heads that the power will give someone the ability to cancel out someone’s vote, plus vote a second time, so they can blame the flip on that. Kaitlyn asked if the power will continue on to next week. Tyler confirmed that it would. They discussed that Kaitlyn needs to continue to act as if she is on Swaggy’s side. If she wins HoH, Kaitlyn said that she will nominate Faysal and Swaggy. When Kaitlyn asked what the power is, Tyler speculated that it could give the person who uses it the ability to nominate someone in their place. Kaitlyn wondered if they should then force it to be used so that Swaggy can be nominated. Tyler said no.
3:00-4:00 PM: Scottie checked in with Brett and Winston. He said it sounded like they had made some kind of deal to keep Sam. Winston said Sam hasn’t even been around. Brett said he is pretty sure that Sam wants to go. Scottie then revealed that Steve thinks the two of them will backstab him, nullifying votes with the power. Brett questioned why Steve hasn’t approached them if he feels that way. Scottie said he has been paranoid over the past 24 hours. Brett and Winston played it off as though they think that it will be a unanimous vote. Scottie said he will be voting to keep Steve.
6:00-7:00 PM: The first live eviction episode of the season took place. Steve was evicted by a vote of 7-6. Kaitlyn voted with the Level 6 alliance and JC. The HoH competition then took place. The houseguests each got to take one shot, hoping to land their ball into the slot with the highest salary. Kaitlyn won HoH. The results were as follows: Kaitlyn $80K, Sam $50K, Scottie $40K. Kaycee $15K, Winston $12K, Angela $0, Bayleigh $0, Brett $0, Faysal $0, Haleigh $0, JC $0, Rachel $0, Rockstar $0, Swaggy $0.
7:00-8:00 PM: Feeds returned following the eviction episode. Tyler told Faysal and Swaggy that the power just got used. Faysal said they would have told them. Swaggy agreed that Julie would have mentioned it. Brett and Winston entered the storage room. Winston commented “cool meeting”. Swaggy asked if they can’t talk to Tyler. Winston said it’s all good. Afterwards, Bayleigh advised Swaggy not to pop off and Winston. She told him to laugh it off, cause she doesn't want Kaitlyn getting upset at him for being hostile or angry. Bayleigh then spoke to Rockstar and Swaggy about the week ahead. Bayleigh said worst case would be Kaitlyn nominating two floaters, since she knows for a fact that Kaitlyn will not put them up. Bayleigh and Haleigh then discussed the vote. Both agreed that Scottie was likely the one to flip. Haleigh observed that he did not get the least bit upset when Steve left, plus none of them ever asked him which way he was voting since they just assumed that he would keep Steve. Elsewhere, Kaitlyn told Faysal that she doesn’t know what she is going to do. Haleigh and Rockstar joined them. She said the same thing once again, adding that she needs to hear more about the power before making a decision. Kaitlyn did let those three know that they are not options to be targeted this week. Bayleigh and Swaggy then discussed the vote. Swaggy said he knows that Kaitlyn flipped. He then said it could have been Rockstar as well. Swaggy explained that he thinks Brett and Winston came up with a plan to mention having a power that is a swing vote. Bayleigh said Kaitlyn is going to have seven people upset with her if she doesn’t do what she said she would do. Swaggy said Brett and Winston, or Angela and Winston, should be options. Swaggy then spoke to Scottie. He let Scottie know that people think he flipped. Scottie said he would not vote his ride or die out. Swaggy said they both know who it is, and he is deflecting when Scottie’s name is brought up. Later, Swaggy told Faysal that Brett and Winston have got to be the nominees. Faysal wondered who else she would nominate if not those two. Swaggy said it could be him or Bayleigh because of what has been happening to her this past week, but Faysal didn’t think that Kaitlyn would do that. The guys then discussed that Rockstar might have been the one to flip. Swaggy said he is starting to believe that it was her, not Kaitlyn. Faysal said Kaitlyn would not do that this early in the game.
8:00-9:00 PM: Kaitlyn commented to Haleigh and Rockstar about Swaggy telling Tyler that she is his target. Rockstar said that didn’t happen. Both Haleigh and Rockstar encouraged Kaitlyn to talk to Tyler and Swaggy again. Kaitlyn also brought up Swaggy saying that he runs his group. Rockstar said it’s a good thing, since that person ends up going home before you. Kaitlyn said it makes her sick since nobody tells her what to do. She asked at what point the guy running things has to go. Rockstar said Swaggy is not running anything. She suggested sticking to their alliance, then having a strong female alliance by picking off the guys first when it comes down to it. In the storage room, JC let Swaggy know that he voted to evict Steve. JC explained that Steve was giving him dirty looks throughout the day, so he couldn’t risk keeping him since he might target him. JC said he let Faysal know that he was evicting Steve a couple of hours before the vote, so it wasn’t that he was hiding it either. Swaggy assured JC that he is good with him if he wins HoH.
9:00-10:00 PM: Bayleigh and Scottie discussed that they don’t think Kaitlyn was the one who flipped. Scottie thinks that it was Haleigh. He mentioned that she entered the storage room twice while he was talking to Sam, then she was whispering to Angela and JC that he had made a deal with Sam. The two discussed that Haleigh is very flirty with the guys, covering her bases. As for this week, Bayleigh said she needs Winston to go. Scottie said he believes that Brett is the bigger threat of the two, though he is fine with either option. Kaitlyn got her HoH room. After the reveal, Brett and Winston chatted in the have-not room. It was discussed that Kaitlyn could easily flip back to the other side. Brett suggested that it would be good if the other side somehow found out that Kaitlyn voted to evict Steve, because it would make it harder for her to go back to them. Brett told Rachel and Winston that Faysal and Swaggy think that he used a power to make this happen tonight. He also said that Kaitlyn is still under the impression that he has the power. Scottie told Swaggy he thinks that Haleigh is the traitor. Swaggy said he thinks that it is Kaitlyn or Rockstar, since Rockstar came to him about a plan to frame Brett and Winston for a vote, plus both Kaitlyn and Rockstar suggested that a power may have taken a vote away. Scottie and Swaggy agreed that Julie would have announced if a power was used.
10:00-11:00 PM: Up in the HoH room, Rockstar said she doesn’t like Brett or Winston. Bayleigh said she doesn’t like Winston at all. Swaggy seconded that thought. Bayleigh thinks that Kaitlyn will nominate Winston but not Brett. Haleigh joined them. They all discussed that they cannot believe how tonight’s vote played out. They talked about how to best handle Kaitlyn’s HoH reign. Rockstar suggested supporting Kaitlyn in whatever decision she makes, rather than trying to convince her to do what they want her to do. Haleigh said they have the opportunity to take the first shot, giving them the numbers. There was some debate as to which side Tyler is really on. If he is on the other side, it was agreed that their alliance is now the minority. The group discussed having someone nearby Kaitlyn at all times.
11:00-12:00 AM: Sam asked Rachel who the seventh vote for her was. Rachel revealed that it was Kaitlyn. Sam said that makes her really happy since Kaitlyn told her that she was going to keep her. Elsewhere, Faysal and JC discussed the votes. JC said Rockstar asked him to find out which way Brett and Winston were voting. Faysal said he and Swaggy voted to evict Sam. JC said Haleigh wasn’t the one who kept Sam either. JC said Bayleigh kept Steve, and he is pretty sure that Rockstar did as well. JC asked which way Kaitlyn voted. Faysal said he is pretty sure that she kept Steve. Swaggy told Bayleigh that he and Faysal both believe that Rockstar was the one who flipped. While he thinks that she flipped, Swaggy doesn’t think that Rockstar did it with the intent of sending Steve home. Swaggy then revealed that he overheard Angela talking about having a squad now. He said Tyler’s name was mentioned as one of the people in the squad, so Swaggy has now lost some trust in Tyler. Swaggy later relayed the information to Faysal as well. They agreed that they cannot call him out at the moment.
