Big Brother 20 Day 25 - Scottie wins the Power of Veto
July 14, 2018
9:00-10:00 AM: Players were picked for the veto competition. The veto players are Scottie, Brett, Winston, Rachel, Rockstar and Tyler. JC told Tyler that he will have to throw the competition. Tyler agreed. JC to make sure he does it after Rockstar is out so that it looks more believable. JC then went to Rachel who acknowledged that it’s not good for her to win this competition. JC said she had better throw it. He once against said to wait until Rockstar is out of the competition.
10:00-11:00 AM: Kaycee asked Scottie where his head is at in terms of a replacement nominee. Scottie said if anyone uses the veto, their best friend will be going on the block. He explained that even if they had a deal previously, the deal will be voided by them using the veto. Downstairs, Rachel told Winston she wishes that he hadn’t blown up on Scottie cause now Scottie is mad at all of them. JC had told Rachel that. Winston said he was already on the block so it’s not like Scottie could do anything more at that point. Winston said he is sorry that Rachel is associated with him. Angela and Kaycee then discussed that Scottie is mad at them due to Winston blowing up. Angela said it has nothing to do with the rest of them, and Winston needs to control himself. In the bedroom, Kaitlyn pointed out to Bayleigh, Rachel and Rockstar that it’s time to consider that a third straight guy will be going home this week. She said the girls can do this. Rockstar said the girls always tear each other apart in this game but they need to at least wait until they are all in jury. Rachel agreed. Tyler let Kaycee know that Sam made Scottie promise to nominate her if the veto is used. Tyler said Sam doesn’t think that she will be evicted, plus she is concerned that they wont have control over who the power is used on next week. Kaycee asked if they would want Sam to use it on Brett or Winston. Tyler said they would be screwed if either of them or Sam ends up nominated next week after it’s used. Kaycee suggested that they would have a better shot at winning HoH if they don’t lose a number this week. Looking ahead to next week, Kaycee said Faysal is a target of hers. She and Tyler discussed that he was likely behind this move.
11:00-12:00 PM: Kaycee told Angela that Tyler plans to throw the veto to Brett and Winston. She said Rachel needs to do the same. Angela said Rachel already knows to. Kaycee is concerned that one of them will be the replacement nominee, even though it was previously said that Kaitlyn would be. Kaycee mentioned that Sam is going to have to use her power if two people from their side are nominated at the end of the week. Angela asked if she is able to use it on someone else. Kaycee explained that this is the last week Sam has to use it, otherwise it is automatically used next week.
12:00-1:00 PM: Kaitlyn told Tyler that they can get Winston out at any time. As for Brett, she said she loves him but this is their shot at taking him out. Kaitlyn said Rockstar brought it up, and she had a good point since they will never win against Brett. However, Kaitlyn believes that Brett would be more loyal to her than Winston would. Tyler said Winston would be easier to control, so she would be able to get him on her side as well. Tyler asked Kaitlyn who she would nominate next week. Kaitlyn said Angela and Rachel. She talked about a plan to tell them that Scottie is the backdoor target even though he wouldn’t actually be. Kaitlyn then changed her mind about nominating Rachel. She said that she would nominate Kaycee instead.
1:00-2:00 PM: Haleigh let Kaitlyn know that Bayleigh would like some reassurances from her since they have not been talking since Swaggy left. Kaitlyn asked Haleigh to tell Bayleigh to talk to her since nothing is wrong. Haleigh said she has noticed Faysal, Scottie and Tyler spending a lot of time together. Kaitlyn said she likes that. Haleigh agreed. Kaitlyn told Haleigh she trusts Brett more than she trusts Winston. Haleigh said she would have agreed with her as of three days ago but Brett is mentioning her as someone who flipped her vote in week one. Haleigh said Scottie is not the only one who has told her that. Haleigh thinks that Brett was super shady when she confronted Brett about it. Kaitlyn said Winston will always be a target. They discussed that it could be better to send Brett home. Haleigh said Brett is so smart and has such a good social game.
2:00-3:00 PM: Scottie told Haleigh she is going to tell Rachel that her best friend is going up on the block if she uses the veto. Haleigh said that’s a really good move to tell her that. Haleigh asked Scottie who he wants gone if nominations stay the same. Scottie said it really doesn’t matter to him, so he is going to let people argue about it. Haleigh said whichever one stays will be going if she wins HoH next week. Haleigh let Scottie know that it has been floating around the house that Brett needs to go because he has the brains as opposed to Winston who is lacking knowledge and social skills. Haleigh said she is more scared of Brett in this game, and he needs to go for sure. Haleigh told Scottie that Kaitlyn thinks she will be the replacement nominee. Scottie said there are four girls who are pretty close, so he will probably put one of those four up to make sure that one of the guys go. Those four girls are Angela, Rachel, Kaycee and Sam. Elsewhere, JC told Angela that Rockstar is going around the house to tell people that Brett needs to go. JC told Angela to be careful with Rachel since she is looking out for herself above the alliance. He said that if they ever have to eliminate someone from their own side, it should be her. Feeds went down for the veto competition at 2:28.
4:00-5:00 PM: Feeds returned at 4:24 following the veto competition. Scottie won the Power of Veto. He also won a trip to Greece. Winston told Brett their only hope is to convince Scottie to backdoor someone. Winston suggested that they go wake Scottie up in the middle of the night to offer him a Final 3 deal. Winston said Scottie has nobody to work with until the end, plus nobody would suspect it. He told Brett that they would not even be able to tell their alliance about the deal. Winston talked about getting Scottie to backdoor Kaitlyn. He said the push over the edge may be letting Scottie know that Kaitlyn was the seventh vote to evict Steve.
5:00-6:00 PM: JC told Tyler that the only reason Brett didn’t win the veto is because he is a moron who didn’t pay attention. Tyler said Winston sucks at every competition, plus he would be much easier to pull in. JC thinks that they could end up in the middle of the vote. He said Angela and Rachel will vote for Brett to stay but Rockstar is campaigning for Brett to go. JC thinks that they need to vote Brett out. JC brought up that Kaitlyn follows Tyler around everywhere. Tyler said he knows and he isn’t the one initiating things.
6:00-7:00 PM: Angela and Kaycee discussed that Winston is a liability. Kaycee asked if they should just let Sam’s power automatically be used next week. Angela said “mhmm”. Rachel told Kaycee and Tyler she thinks it’s best to keep Brett. Kaycee agreed. Rachel said Brett is a great competitor who can help their side win things. Tyler said it’s a double edged sword since a great competitor is tougher to beat. Kaycee and Rachel agreed that Winston is a liability. Rachel agreed but said that Winston would remain a target for the other side if he stays. Kaycee said she would feel comfortable with Brett staying. She asked Kaycee and Tyler if they are down for that. They said yes. Next week, Rachel suggested going after Faysal or Scottie. She said Rockstar can be left for later on since she sucks. Kaycee and Tyler then spoke alone. Tyler said JC doesn’t like Kaitlyn. Kaycee said she doesn’t trust her. Tyler said he doesn’t either. He said she is an asset but she seems to be trying hard to jump back to her original side. Kaycee and Tyler talked about going to the end together. Both said they would never vote against the other. Elsewhere, Bayleigh and Rockstar talked about Brett needing to be the one who goes this week. Bayleigh asked Rockstar what she would do if she wins HoH next week. Rockstar said she wants to nominate Angela and Winston. Her goal would be to backdoor Tyler. Bayleigh liked the plan.
7:00-8:00 PM: Kaycee told Rachel that she is starting to feel uncomfortable with Kaitlyn. Rachel said she is too since Kaitlyn is a flip flopper. Kaycee said Kaitlyn has got to go soon. Kaycee then spoke to Brett about the vote. She told him that he should have the numbers. Brett said he knows for a fact that Rockstar is targeting him, though he should get votes from the people who are looking to appeal to the HoH after Winston threatened him. Brett said he wants to stay to be the person who takes Rockstar out of the game. Brett explained that Rockstar targeted him from a personal standpoint from Day 1. Kaycee mentioned that Faysal is a bigger threat. Brett said he would nominate Rockstar next to a pawn, then he would backdoor Faysal if the opportunity presents itself. Winston joined them. Brett talked about it being a good game move for Scottie to backdoor Kaitlyn. Brett and Winston spoke alone to go over their plan for their talk with Scottie, though the conversation did not last long.
9:00-10:00 PM: JC asked Rachel what she is going to do this week. Rachel said she wants to keep Brett because he is a number and he is a strong competitor that they need right now. JC questioned if they will get another shot at getting Brett out. Rachel said she gets what he is saying but she thinks that they will get another opportunity to take that shot. While JC said that he likes Brett, he told Rachel that Brett will make it all the way to the end if he doesn’t leave now. Rachel suggested that either of them could make the move against him in the future. Rachel is concerned about Scottie moving forward. She said he went for blood, is smart, isn’t easily manipulated, and he does what he wants to do. Rachel said that is the scariest type of player in the game. Rachel said the weaker players such as Rockstar don’t need to be targeted yet.
10:00-11:00 PM: JC spoke to Tyler about the vote. He said they have the numbers if the two of them, Haleigh, Bayleigh, Faysal and Rockstar vote to evict Brett. They agreed that Brett needs to go. Next week, JC said they could get one of the girls on their side to target Faysal, leaving Rockstar for another week. JC mentioned the need to eliminate whoever openly talks about targeting the two of them, which is why he wants Rockstar to go. Tyler said that’s the reason he knew Kaitlyn had to go since she was throwing JC’s name around at the start of last week. JC said he doesn’t want Kaitlyn to make it to jury, because she will be bitter. Tyler said she will vote emotionally and she will believe whatever other people tell her. JC said they can possibly get Kaitlyn or Rockstar out next. JC headed up to the HoH room. He told Faysal that he thinks he will vote to evict Brett. Faysal said he thinks that everyone is doing that. JC believes that they have the numbers. Faysal advised him to lay low and not campaign too hard. JC said he would leave that job to Rockstar.
12:00-1:00 AM: Out at the hammock, Bayleigh told Rockstar she wants Sam out as soon as possible. They also discussed that Tyler needs to go. While everyone was outside, Brett and Winston made their pitch to Scottie. Winston pointed out that everyone knows he blew up on Scottie, so it would make no sense for Scottie to take him off of the block. However, they discussed that using the veto on Brett could work. Brett said nobody would see this coming, and Scottie could get out of the week unscathed on both sides. Brett mentioned that the side of the house Scottie is working with is still very upset with Kaitlyn after she made a dirty move to take out one of their own. Winston said Scottie could make a phenomenal game move by backdooring Kaitlyn, then they can have a hidden alliance in which they use each other as pawns.
1:00-2:00 AM: Brett, Winston and Scottie continued their chat. Scottie said he has his reservations. He said Brett and Winston are going to pick each other over him if they make it to the Final 3 together. Winston said it’s every man for himself at that point, while Brett said he just wants to get to the end. Scottie also didn’t like the idea of being used as a pawn when he has two comp wins. Winston said they don’t have to use each other as pawns if it’s not something that everyone is comfortable with. Scottie’s final reservation was that aligning with a duo is something that Paul did, though he aligned with three of them. Scottie said he worries that people would catch on to it. Scottie let Winston know that he will sleep on it.
