Big Brother 20 Day 27 - Scottie decides not to use the Power of Veto
July 16, 2018
9:00-10:00 AM: Out in the yard, Kaitlyn let Bayleigh, Haleigh and Rockstar know that she is disgusted with Tyler. Kaitlyn explained that Tyler wasn’t comforting her last night, instead opting to keep his distance and not choose a side. Kaitlyn said she doesn’t even care if they win HoH and put him up. Kaitlyn talked about wanting to explain to Scottie why she flipped her vote in the first week.
10:00-11:00 AM: Kaitlyn confronted Tyler about not comforting her last night. Tyler said he doesn’t think that she handled things right last night, but he is sorry for not being the first to her last night. Kaitlyn said it’s embarrassing. Kaitlyn asked if Tyler thinks it was a bad idea for her to stand in her truth and stick up for herself. Tyler explained that he is worried she made herself a bigger target. Kaitlyn said that’s not Tyler’s problem. Kaitlyn went on to say that she came to realization that the theme for her is that she will stick up for herself. Kaitlyn said she she is grateful for Faysal since he was there for her last night, but she wishes that it were Tyler. Tyler said he he was under the impression that they had a deeper connection than that, plus he tried to come to her many times for a one-on-one last night. Tyler spun it around on Kaitlyn, saying that he thought she was his #1 but she questions him every single day. Tyler said he was quiet because he was trying to figure out how to resolve this in order to get the target off of her back. Kaitlyn revealed that she would like to tell Scottie about flipping the vote week one. Tyler said it’s a terrible idea. Kaitlyn said it will be worse if Brett or Winston say it, but Tyler told her that they would have done so last night if they were going to do it. Tyler also did not want Kaitlyn revealing that Sam has the power. Kaitlyn said she did not ask to be told this information week one, and she wishes that she hadn’t been told. Kaitlyn said Swaggy should not have gone home and she should have stayed with that side cause they would have been loyal to a fault. Outside, Bayleigh let Kaycee know that Kaitlyn wants to tell Scottie that she flipped in week one and that Sam is going to use the power on her if he tries to nominate her. Bayleigh also told Kaycee about Kaitlyn being pissed off at Tyler because he didn’t stick up for her and comfort her in her time of need last night. Kaycee said she feels bad for Tyler.
11:00-12:00 PM: Kaitlyn went to Scottie. She told him not to freak out. She said she cannot believe that she is doing this. She told Scottie that Steve is her dad and she loves him. Scottie asked if Steve is actually her dad. Kaitlyn said no, but viewed him as a father figured. Kaitlyn then revealed that she flipped her vote, voting to evict Steve. Kaitlyn said she didn’t have a choice. She explained that someone was going to use their power, then the people who voted to evict Steve were going be chosen to go on the block. She later clarified that not all of them would have been nominated. Kaitlyn said she knew that evicting Steve meant that someone else would go up and go home that night. Kaitlyn told Scottie that Sam said she will use her power on her if she goes on the block. Kaitlyn said she flipped in order to save her friends, and all this time she has been questioning why she hasn’t told Scottie about it. Scottie asked if Sam told her that she has the power. Kaitlyn said Sam told her that during her HoH week. Kaitlyn asked if Scottie is mad at her. Scottie said he isn’t. He told Kaitlyn that he had a suspicion already and he knows who the rats are. Later, Scottie told Tyler about his conversation with Kaitlyn in which she told him about Sam’s power. Tyler played it off as though he didn't know about it. Minutes later, Tyler told Kaitlyn that he had an interesting conversation with Scottie. He said he wonders who told him about Sam’s power. Kaitlyn said Scottie is happy so he should trust her intuition next time. Feeds went down for the veto ceremony at 11:59.
12:00-1:00 PM: Feeds returned at 12:54 following the veto ceremony. Scottie decided not to use the Power of Veto. Brett and Winston remain nominated. Winston spoke to Angela about the plan for the week. She said she is going to do whatever she is told, since she doesn’t want to have to choose between the two of them. Winston asked who is making the decision then. Angela said she doesn’t know. Winston told Brett that he is not going to campaign against him. Brett told him to do his thing. Winston said they can both just tell people their strengths when pitching why they should stay. Winston said he thinks that he will be leaving, though Brett said he pissed off a whole side of the house last night.
2:00-3:00 PM: Faysal asked Scottie if he is confident that Brett and Winston don’t have a power. Scottie said they wouldn’t look him in the eye during the veto ceremony, which Faysal took as a sign that they do not have a power. Scottie brought up the rumour that Sam has one of the powers. Faysal said he has heard that as well. Scottie said he heard that the power gets her or someone else off of the block after they have been voted out. Scottie pointed out that Brett likely knows about the power, and he and Sam had a one on one meeting yesterday. Faysal said that’s scary since Sam might have made a deal to use it on Brett if it expires this week. Scottie added that Sam is someone who can be shook by the DR to use it. Faysal agreed that production would likely want the power to be used if it’s expiring. Scottie said he will need to have a talk with Sam, saying that someone using a power this week would be a betrayal of his trust. Faysal worried that people would be afraid of voting Brett out, thinking that Sam may use her power and then they will be at risk of going up. Afterwards, Scottie spoke to Bayleigh about the same issue. He said Sam used his room to have a conversation with Brett last night, possibly to strike a deal with him. Scottie asked if Bayleigh has heard about Sam’s power. Bayleigh said Kaitlyn told her about it yesterday. She said Kaitlyn told her that only she and Tyler know about it. Scottie said that’s interesting. He mentioned that Tyler acted surprised to hear about the power when he brought it up to him earlier today.
4:00-5:00 PM: Rachel told Angela she is going to start telling people that she is voting for Brett to stay, but she wont do that until tomorrow. Angela said she has already been making it clear to people that she is keeping Brett. Angela said you are only as strong as your weakest link, and Winston is their weakest link. Angela thinks it’s a good thing that Winston is leaving. Rachel said she thinks that it might be a good thing as well. Angela doesn’t think that people will suspect that the four is together anymore once he is gone. Out in the yard, JC told Tyler that yesterday was scary for him since he did tell Angela that Kaitlyn was trying to get Brett out. He was concerned that his name would come up, but he said he wasn’t that worried since Kaitlyn really did campaign against Brett. JC said Brett getting HoH is probably the best case scenario for them this week. JC said he will likely target Kaitlyn since they don’t need her anymore and she is a liability for everyone.
5:00-6:00 PM: Scottie spoke to Kaycee about rumoured powers. He said the only specific rumour that he has heard about is Sam having a power. Kaycee said she has no idea. Scottie asked if people don’t tell her anything. Kaycee said she heard Sam’s name going around as well but that’s it. Scottie said he heard that Sam’s power gives her the ability to replace herself on the block with someone who voted against her if she gets evicted. Kaycee said she hasn’t heard that at all.
6:00-7:00 PM: Bayleigh asked Rockstar who Tyler would put up if he wins HoH. Rockstar said he can’t get HoH. Bayleigh agreed, seeing as he is friends with everyone. Rockstar mentioned that Kaitlyn is erratic. Bayleigh asked what they should do about that. Rockstar said they shouldn’t do anything immediate. Rockstar told Bayleigh that it would be an epic TV move if she were to backdoor Kaitlyn. She said turnabout is fair play. Rockstar said she doesn’t think that Kaitlyn would win the veto but a backdoor would still be the better way to get her out. She said Tyler needs to be backdoored as well. Bayleigh said Rockstar can do Tyler and she can do Kaitlyn.
7:00-8:00 PM: Rockstar told Haleigh that once everyone else is gone, she should convince Faysal that she is in love with him. Rockstar said Haleigh can then convince Faysal to drop, leaving them in the Final 2 together. Haleigh said that’s a good idea. Rockstar said Haleigh could then go on a real date with Faysal outside of the house. Haleigh agreed. Haleigh asked what she should do if she wins HoH this week. Rockstar suggested that she nominate Angela and Winston. Rockstar pointed out that they would be at jury after those two go, then they will have a fun house. Rockstar told Haleigh she could then take Rachel out since she knows that Haleigh doesn’t like her. Haleigh brought up that Kaycee is going to be a problem. They discussed that she is athletic. Rockstar said she likes Kaycee and they apparently messed up with her since all she wanted was an invite to join them. Haleigh talked about Brett needing to go since he has been dropping their names. Later, Bayleigh and Rachel talked about Kaitlyn having all of the guys wrapped around her finger. Rachel pointed out that Faysal went right back to her even though she screwed him over by nominating Swaggy. They discussed that Kaitlyn’s behaviour has been inappropriate for someone who has a boyfriend.
8:00-9:00 PM: Brett, Rachel and Tyler discussed Kaitlyn’s behaviour towards the guys. Brett said he doesn’t even want to repeat what she said to him on Day 2, cause he doesn’t want it to be on television. Tyler agreed that he doesn’t want to say things either. Brett said she would not be coming back to him if he were his boyfriend. Rachel said Bayleigh let her know that Kaitlyn was pissed about the funny kiss that she and Tyler had on her birthday. Brett confirmed that, saying that Kaitlyn went around the house saying she was jealous about it. Brett mentioned that Kaitlyn yelled at him as if he was her boyfriend last night. Rachel said she bosses Faysal around as well. Brett said he so badly wants to tell her that she is not his girlfriend. Rachel said Kaitlyn thinks she is Brett’s girlfriend and Tyler’s girlfriend. Both guys said this is why they don’t have girlfriends. Rachel headed to the have-not room to speak to Angela and Kaycee. She told them that Kaitlyn’s fight worked out well since JC was going to vote Brett out until that happened. Sam joined them to talk about the vote. Sam said Brett is hilarious and charming but she has absolutely zero personal interest in either of the nominees. Angela said Winston goes around running his mouth, but Brett was able to keep calm last night when Kaitlyn was coming at him. Rachel added that Brett will remain a bigger threat than any of them. Bayleigh eventually joined the conversation. Rachel let her know that she is keeping Brett.
9:00-10:00 PM: Rockstar and Scottie had a long talk in the HoH room. They discussed Sam’s power. Scottie said he is wondering if Tyler is trying to play. He said Kaitlyn had left out the detail that Tyler knew about the power, and then later Tyler acted surprised to hear about it. Scottie said those two made him think that he was with them, though he now knows that it was BS. They talked about Sam’s power being a bit much if she gets to save herself and choose a replacement nominee out of those who voted against her. Meanwhile, Bayleigh let Sam know that people know about her power. Sam confirmed that she still has it. She did not let Bayleigh know about the expiration date. Sam asked why Kaitlyn told about the power. Bayleigh said her back was against the wall. Bayleigh told Sam that Kaitlyn explained she voted Steve out because they would have suffered dire consequences if not. Sam said the power wouldn’t have impacted anyone else. Bayleigh was surprised to hear that. Bayleigh said Kaitlyn told her that whoever voted against Sam would be at risk of going up. Sam said that’s not true. Sam thinks that Kaitlyn, not Tyler, has been telling people about the power even though she told her not to. Back upstairs, Rockstar told Scottie that she trusts Bayleigh, Faysal and Haleigh. Scottie said those are the people who he trusts the most as well. They talked about not knowing where Tyler’s true loyalties lie. Scottie thinks that Tyler threw the veto competition in order to not have to break a deal with Brett and Winston, and not lose his trust by using the veto.
10:00-11:00 PM: Rockstar said Kaitlyn told her that Tyler said she couldn’t vote for Steve due to the power. Scottie said Kaitlyn told him that Brett said that to her. He figured that Kaitlyn was trying to cover for Tyler by saying that. They started realizing that Tyler made deals with two opposite sides of the house. Scottie said he realized too late what Tyler was doing to him and Swaggy. Scottie said he would like to see Sam and Tyler on the block together in order to see what happens. While Rockstar said that she would feel awful putting Sam up, Scottie said he would have three days ago but not anymore. Rockstar brought up Scottie thinking that backdoors are sleazy moves. She said she thinks that Tyler would need to be backdoored. Scottie said he might consider that seeing as he is getting to the point where he thinks Tyler’s entire game is sleazy.
11:00-12:00 AM: Sam and Tyler spoke about her power. Tyler told Sam to tell Kaitlyn it expires this week if she asked about it again. Tyler said she cannot be trusted. Sam continually replied with “okay”. Tyler asked if she is okay. Sam said she is. She eventually said that someone just asked her about the power. Sam refused to say who it was, but she let Tyler know that this person said everyone knows about her power because Kaitlyn told them. Tyler said he knew Kaitlyn was going to tell. He told Sam that Kaitlyn needs to go since she is the worst person to have in the house. Tyler apologized to Sam but said Kaitlyn needed to know about the power to get on board with the plan in week one. Sam said she trusts everything that Tyler has ever done. Sam brought up Kaitlyn spreading that whoever voted against her was at risk of going on the block. Tyler admitted to telling her that. When they discussed this week’s vote, Tyler said he is keeping Brett. Sam asked what she should do. Tyler told her to keep Brett as well. Sam said she would never use her power on either nominee since it would hurt Scottie.
