Big Brother 20 Day 34 - Faysal uses the PoV on Haleigh; Rockstar is nominated
July 23, 2018
12:00-1:00 PM: Feeds returned at 12:41 following the veto ceremony. Faysal used the Power of Veto on Haleigh. Sam nominated Rockstar as the replacement nominee. Based on the conversations that were being had, Sam was about to nominate JC, thinking that he would be safe, but JC spoke up and told her that that’s not a good idea. Sam explained to the houseguests that her power app is automatically going to be used this week, meaning that whoever is evicted will be given a chance to get back in the game. Sam asked Brett if he is mad at her for not saving Winston. Brett said no. Sam said the only reason she didn’t use it on him is that she believes in him in the event that there is a Battle Back. JC told Tyler that Kaitlyn has to go this week. He said she is a fierce competitor and she is a liar. Tyler argued that they can’t vote against the group, or else the people who they have been voting with will come after them.
1:00-2:00 PM: Tyler and Haleigh discussed that JC would have went on the block if not for him speaking up. Tyler said this is a crazy week since the evicted houseguest may come back and come after you if you voted against them. Tyler said he is going to go find Kaitlyn to make sure that she is not mad at Haleigh. Haleigh then spoke to JC. She asked if he flipped last week. JC said it wasn’t him. Haleigh said two people flipped since Sam’s power was not used. JC mentioned that there are more people with powers. Haleigh asked for JC’s thoughts on the vote. He said it seems obvious to him since Rockstar said she has Haleigh’s back. They both agreed that Kaitlyn has got to go. In the storage room, Tyler told Faysal that he cannot vote against Kaitlyn. He said she is his closest person. Faysal said he can’t either. If Kaitlyn goes, Faysal wanted to know where they stand. Tyler said they will only have each other. Faysal suggested that they could win every HoH if they bring Scottie in. They then discussed a potential girls alliance. Faysal said it’s real whether the girls are serious about it or not, so the girls are going to keep nominating males. Faysal said the girls will skate by if they keep dismissing them as potential nominees due to being close with them. Faysal said he believes that Kaitlyn has a good chance to stay. Tyler said he will make sure that she doesn’t turn on him if she stays. Kaitlyn went around the house telling people that she threw the veto competition to Faysal because he agreed to use it on her so that they could both be safe. She first told Brett, then Tyler. Tyler brought up that she needs to speak to JC about sticking together to go after Faysal, because JC doesn’t want to talk to him anymore after he almost got put on the block. Tyler said JC’s vote will be needed. Faysal and Kaitlyn then spoke. Faysal let Kaitlyn know that the deciding factor was what she did to Swaggy, because he would have used the veto on her if not for that. Kaitlyn said Faysal wrote her eviction sentence, since he knows that she will not have the votes. Kaitlyn asked Faysal to look her in the eyes and tell her that he is voting to keep her. Faysal asked why she does that, then he said he will vote for her to stay. Faysal said she cannot turn her back on him just because he didn’t use the veto on her. Kaitlyn said she wants a chance to stay, so she wont do that if she gets that chance. Haleigh joined them. Kaitlyn said the only guaranteed votes that she has are Brett’s and Tyler’s. Kaitlyn told Faysal and Haleigh that she would like to know if they don’t intend on keeping her. Faysal pointed out that Rockstar doesn’t have a Tyler on her side, so they need loyalty from Kaitlyn if they keep her. Faysal wants Kaitlyn to prioritize them above Tyler if they keep her.
2:00-3:00 PM: JC asked Faysal to speak up in the HoH room. JC mentioned saying not to use the veto. While he told Faysal that he will not nominate him if he wins HoH, JC said he is done talking game with Faysal. JC talked about almost going on the block since he used the veto even though Haleigh was completely safe. Faysal said JC didn’t tell him that he was an option to go up. JC said he told him that Sam makes emotional decisions. JC said he feels a bit betrayed by Faysal because he didn’t tell him that he was going to use the veto, or else he could have spoke to Sam to make sure that he was good with her. Faysal said he was going to tell him this morning but he was called to the diary room. Faysal reassured JC that he will never go against him in this game, but he is happy to go against Kaitlyn right now. JC said Kaitlyn told Tyler that she is close to Faysal because he said he has feelings for her, so she doesn’t want to hurt his feelings. Faysal denied it and said Tyler is dumb if he believes that. JC said he has a plan to try to get Tyler’s vote. They agreed to talk to Tyler on Wednesday. Outside, Angela let Kaitlyn know that she will vote to keep her. She added that she has a feeling Kaitlyn will make it through this week.
3:00-4:00 PM: Kaitlyn told JC that she threw the veto competition to Faysal because he made a deal with her to save her. Kaitlyn said she hates Faysal. JC said that’s insane. Kaitlyn suggested that they may have the same motivation now that JC was close to going on the block because of what Faysal did. When Kaitlyn asked if JC will vote to keep her, JC said he is going to think about it. In the storage room, Brett asked Tyler if Sam was about to nominate JC. Tyler said yes. He told Brett that JC is more mad at Faysal than at Sam. Brett said it will be an uphill battle to keep Kaitlyn but he believes that it’s best for them to do so. Tyler agreed. Tyler said Rockstar is a solidified number against them while Kaitlyn is not. Brett said they can influence Kaitlyn but they wont be able to influence Rockstar. Tyler said they either need to get JC on board, or get Sam to break the tie to evict Rockstar.
4:00-5:00 PM: Faysal let Rockstar know that even though he is best friends with Kaitlyn, that doesn’t mean that she has his vote. He said he would have used the veto on her if that were the case. Faysal said Rockstar has his vote, Haleigh’s vote, Bayleigh’s vote and Scottie’s vote. In the have-not room, Kaycee told Bayleigh that everyone seems to be leaning towards getting Kaitlyn out. Bayleigh said that’s surprising. Rachel spoke to Kaitlyn to ask what she is thinking. Kaycee said she guesses that Kaitlyn needs to go. Rachel said that would be a dumb move. She explained that Kaitlyn is not coming after them but Rockstar would come after their side. Kaycee said she does want to keep Kaitlyn. Rachel said Angela, Brett and Tyler do as well. Rachel thinks the line will be drawn when Kaitlyn’s side votes her out, making her targets clear for her. Brett came by. He said it’s a tough decision since Kaitlyn is more capable of winning, but they can also get inside of her head. As for Rockstar, he said she will put two of them up and there is no changing her mind. On top of that, Brett said Rockstar will not win the chance to come back. Brett, Kaycee and Rachel agreed that the plan for now is to evict Rockstar. Kaycee thinks that Bayleigh will vote with them as well.
5:00-6:00 PM: Bayleigh joined Kaycee and Rachel in the have-not room. She said she will vote however they are. Kaycee said there has been a change of plans. She let Bayleigh know that they now want to keep Kaitlyn. Bayleigh said she will go for that but she thinks that it will bite them in the butt. When the girls brought up Kaitlyn target Faysal, Bayleigh said that is not going to happen. Kaycee said Kaitlyn will see who voted against her. Rachel said Kaitlyn will not go after Bayleigh, and they will protect her if she does. Bayleigh said she doesn’t care either way but she hopes that people wont fall for Kaitlyn’s manipulation moving forward. Bayleigh added that she is just wants Kaitlyn to go before jury. Bayleigh asked who Tyler is likely to go after if he wins. Faysal’s name was brought up. Kaycee said she doesn’t think that Bayleigh has anything to worry about with Tyler. When Bayleigh brought up him wanting to nominate her in week one, Kaycee said that was before they even knew each other. Angela and Rachel discussed what happened at the veto ceremony. Angela said she believes that Sam was going to nominate Rockstar the whole time, based on what she told her and Brett last night, but she made it look like it wasn’t a pre-meditated move with what she did at the veto ceremony. Angela mentioned that Kaitlyn is an easy target to take out next week without getting blood on your hands. Rachel wants to target Scottie. Angela said Scottie scares her more than anyone in the house but she doesn’t want to be the one to get him out if he is going to jury. Rachel told Angela that Bayleigh has been asking about their relationship, so she has been saying that it’s not good. Angela said she loves Rachel and wishes that she could spend more time with her. Angela brought up that they can stage a fight over Brett at some point down the line.
7:00-8:00 PM: JC spoke to Tyler about the vote. Tyler made it clear that he thinks Kaitlyn needs to stay. JC asked what happened to them trying to keep the sides even. Tyler counted of five on each side with them in the middle, so he said it’s even already. JC said they don’t know where Kaitlyn’s head is at. Tyler said he knows exactly where her head is at since she trusts him more than anyone. JC told Tyler that he is getting played by Kaitlyn. Tyler said he is five steps ahead of her. JC said his gut is telling him that Kaitlyn needs to go. He said they are taking out a weak player in Rockstar to keep Kaitlyn who is a strong competitor and has a strong social game just because Tyler believes that he has her. Later, JC went to talk to Bayleigh. He told her that Kaitlyn can get Tyler to do whatever she wants.
8:00-9:00 PM: JC told Angela that Rachel is going around the whole house saying she is going to keep Kaitlyn. JC said Bayleigh already knows and she is probably going to tell Rockstar. JC said he really doesn’t think that Rockstar is going to put Angela up. Angela said that’s the one thing that was holding her back. JC then went to Bayleigh to let her know that he is 100% on board with keeping Kaitlyn. JC said he needs Rockstar to find out that Rachel is going around campaigning for Kaitlyn. Bayleigh said she will tell Haleigh to let her know. In the storage room, JC told Sam he was very surprised at the veto ceremony. Sam said she needed him to be surprised so it would be real. Sam mentioned that JC is her best friend and everyone knows how much she loves him, so she wanted to make it seem like she was offering him the chance to return because it’s like a gift. Sam said JC reacted exactly how she needed him to. She claimed that she was never going to actually nominate him. JC asked what Sam would do in the event of a tie. Sam asked who JC wants out. He said Kaitlyn. Sam said as repayment for surprising him and freaking him out, she will break the tie by evicting Kaitlyn if it comes down to that. Bayleigh let Scottie know that she doesn’t care who goes. Scottie said he agrees. He added that he doesn’t trust Kaitlyn. Bayleigh told Scottie that Kaitlyn is saying he told Tyler that he flipped on Swaggy. Scottie denied having said that. Both agreed that it’s stupid to keep Kaitlyn around just because she is a target. Bayleigh asked Scottie to let her know when he decides which way he is voting. Scottie said he wants to vote with the house but he would prefer to keep Rockstar. Bayleigh said they are on the same page. Scottie asked if Bayleigh wants to talk about the Swaggy vote. She said they can. Scottie admitted to voting him out, which Bayleigh said she already knew. Scottie claimed that it was done in hope of getting himself trending to get a power.
9:00-10:00 PM: Out at the hammock, JC continued to pitch for Kaitlyn to go. Angela and Rachel still prefer to keep her. JC brought up that they could all just vote their own way on this one, then get back together for the next vote. Rachel said she doesn’t want Sam to have to break a tie, so she either wants it to be 6-4 or 10-0. Moving forward, Rachel said she is only worried about Faysal and Scottie winning HoH. Angela said she too is worried about Scottie. JC pointed out that Scottie is staying with the other side no matter what they do to him. Angela thinks that Faysal would go after Brett and possibly Tyler as well if he wins HoH.
10:00-11:00 PM: Faysal asked Scottie for his thoughts on the vote. Scottie said he feels as though both nominees are on his side. He said he is leaning towards keeping Rockstar. Faysal asked if it’s because she is more loyal. Scottie said yes but added that Kaitlyn’s connection to Tyler is dangerous as well. Scottie brought up that Kaitlyn keeps lying about a power being used each week too.
11:00-12:00 AM: Bayleigh told Kaycee it seems as though the house is divided once again when it comes to the vote. She questioned why they can’t all just agree to something for once. Kaycee asked who is best to leave for Bayleigh’s game. Bayleigh said both are bad for her game but she does feel that it’s worse to have Kaitlyn stay. Kaycee mentioned that Kaitlyn can’t do much on her own. Bayleigh said she has Tyler. Bayleigh talked about how Kaitlyn will be in Tyler’s ear if he wins HoH or the veto because Tyler cannot decide things of himself. Kaycee said she heard that Tyler is tired of Kaitlyn. Bayleigh said she could see that. Bayleigh and Haleigh then spoke in the kitchen. Bayleigh talked about not wanting to be on the wrong side of the vote. She made it seem as though they do not have the votes to keep Rockstar. The girls discussed that they have worry about themselves. Out at the hammock, Kaitlyn told Faysal that she will need a genuine apology from him in order to move past things. Kaitlyn wanted Faysal to put things behind them and move forward. Faysal said he knows that there is something she has been keeping from him. Kaitlyn said there isn’t anything. Faysal refused to elaborate. Kaitlyn said the way that Faysal is acting is not good. Kaitlyn questioned how she can believe that he is going to vote for her. Faysal asked who she would nominate if she stays. Haleigh said Brett and Sam. Faysal was puzzled as to why Kaitlyn would say she is sure of Brett’s vote but then nominate him. Kaitlyn said she is assuming that she has his voted based on the alternative that Brett has. Kaitlyn started to feel as though Faysal wasn’t doing his part to make an effort with her. She said she feels that their relationship is tainted. Faysal said he already told her that she has his vote. Faysal then asked why she did the whole Swaggy thing. He said it messed everything up. Kaitlyn got up and walked inside without saying another word.
12:00-1:00 AM: JC went to Faysal to tell him that Kaitlyn wants him out. Faysal asked how he knows that. JC said she would have to be the worst player in Big Brother history to not want him out right now. JC said it’s common sense. Haleigh joined them. JC said they have to stick with the plan, evicting Kaitlyn. JC assured them that they will be fine as long as they get to five votes, but he asked that they not say anything about it. Haleigh then spoke to Faysal alone, encouraging him to fix things with Kaitlyn. Haleigh explained that they may not have the votes to keep Rockstar. Afterwards, Rockstar spoke to Bayleigh, Faysal, Haleigh and Scottie. She brought up that she doesn’t think she will stay. Bayleigh said she needs to change her attitude since she has had five people guarantee her a vote already. Bayleigh said she only needs one more. Bayleigh encouraged Rockstar to work on Sam in case they need her to break a tie. Scottie said to pitch to people that Brett is her only target. They talked about the need to keep JC on board. Haleigh thinks he wants to be with majorities, so they cannot act worried around him.
1:00-2:00 AM: Rockstar told Sam she wanted to ask and beg her to vote in her favour if there is a tie. Sam said she hasn’t really thought about it since she didn’t consider that there could be a tie. Rockstar said she would hope that Sam would want to keep her there considering she was not one of her initial choices. Sam again said that she hasn’t really thought about it. She told Rockstar that she needs to make her own mind up. Rockstar asked what her apprehension is. Sam explained that her idea didn’t work, so she now needs to think about it some more.
2:00-3:00 AM: Rockstar spoke to Brett. She said she is a fan of the show and game recognizes game. She said she doesn’t know how he pulled off what he pulled off on Thursday, but someone who appreciates that is someone you want in jury. Rockstar said she is not a competition threat and she is not threatening at all. Rockstar said she would like to vote for the best player since she is a huge fan of the show. Rockstar told Brett she approached him the other day not because she needed to, but because she is not a hateful person and she is sorry for the way that she reacted. Brett said he respects that she is not throwing in the towel. As the talk continued, Brett brought up that Swaggy drew a line. Rockstar said to her it seemed like Brett and Winston drew the line because they would stop talking when she walked in the room, or they would walk out. She suggested that he not continue doing that even if they don’t work together moving forward. Brett said he wasn’t conscious of it. Brett let Rockstar know that he appreciates the effort she made.
