Big Brother 20 Day 41 - Tyler decides not to use the Power of Veto
July 30, 2018
10:00-11:00 AM: Angela told Sam that the girls alliance is all BS. Angela said she thinks it was a way for the girls to protect themselves if one of them got in power on either side, but she is at the point where she doesn’t trust anyone again. Sam said she has always been at that point. Angela let Sam know that things blew up last night. She said she thinks there is one person who was behind all of it. Angela told Sam that it’s Rachel. Angela explained that Rachel offered to go on the block, then changed her mind and was throwing out her name and Kaycee’s name as people who could go up in her place. Angela said Rachel then went through every single person as potential options once Bayleigh said no to nominating her or Kaycee. Angela said she is not going to try and talk Rachel out of this one. Angela told Sam that they wanted to get another guy on the block but Rachel is concerned that Scottie might have a power and then she could go home. Angela went on to say that Rachel started freaking out, got upset, and was crying. Scottie then asked Angela if Rachel is alright. Angela said not really. She mentioned that Rachel seems to think that she is going home even though no one else thinks that. Scottie asked where Angela’s head is at. Angela said she loves both Brett and Rachel but she is closer to Rachel. Angela did admit that a few things have made her question her trust with Rachel this week. The two discussed the vote flip last week. Scottie swore that it wasn’t him. Angela said she is starting to think that it was Rachel. Angela asked Scottie if he thinks that it was done maliciously. Scottie said no. He thinks someone didn’t want Kaitlyn to go out unanimously.
11:00-12:00 PM: Feeds went down at 11:09 for the veto ceremony. Feeds returned at 11:56. Tyler decided not to use the Power of Veto. Brett and Rachel remain nominated. Rachel was crying when feeds returned. Rachel asked Brett if he is okay. Brett said no. He didn’t speak to her any further on the matter.
12:00-1:00 PM: Bayleigh thanked Tyler for not using the veto. He said he told her he wasn’t going to use it. Bayleigh said she now has no doubt in her mind about him and she trusts him completely. Rachel then spoke to Bayleigh. She said this is emotional for her. She brought up that Brett is her friend. Bayleigh said she doesn’t expect Rachel to say anything bad about Brett or to campaign against him. Bayleigh let Rachel know that she should have votes from Faysal, Angela, Kaycee, Haleigh and Rockstar, which is all that she would need to stay. Bayleigh said her dream scenario for next week would be Faysal winning HoH. She said she will tell him not to nominate Rachel. After that, Bayleigh said hopefully it’s a double eviction and she will use her power. Bayleigh assured Rachel that she doesn’t have to worry about going up then either. Rachel asked if Bayleigh has her power for two more weeks. Bayleigh said yes. Rachel asked if she would use it if Kaycee won and nominated Faysal. Bayleigh said that she probably would. Rachel then asked if she can change nominations afterwards. Bayleigh explained that she has to do it beforehand. She added that the HoH makes their nominations, thinks that they are going to get them, and then she changes them, but nobody will know until the nominations are revealed. Later, JC spoke to Rachel. He told her that she has his vote. He asked that she keep that between them because he doesn’t want his name being thrown around when votes are being counted.
1:00-2:00 PM: Bayleigh told Sam she is going to let everyone choose for themselves this week. She said she thinks that people are leaning towards keeping Rachel, which would be good for her since she told Rachel that she is just a pawn. Bayleigh asked Sam for her thoughts on the girls alliance. Sam said she is not opposed to it but she can’t help but feel for the guys in the house. Sam added that she doesn’t mind if it happens naturally but she doesn’t think that it’s fair to intentionally target the guys just because they are guys. Bayleigh suggested that it’s more so for protection so that they will keep the girl over the guy if they are nominated together. Sam pointed out that it would be tough for her if Scottie is on the block or tough for Bayleigh if Faysal is on the block. Kaycee and Tyler chatted in the storage room. They discussed that Sam told them that she wants to work with the two of them. Kaycee said she wants to have Sam’s back for as long as they can. Tyler agreed. Tyler brought up that Kaycee is close to Rachel. Kaycee said it is what it is. Kaycee explained that she wants what is best for them and she knows that Brett is more levelheaded than Rachel is. Tyler told Kaycee that JC’s vote is solid. He mentioned telling Brett to keep hanging out with Scottie so that JC can blame his vote on Scottie. Tyler then let Kaycee know that Bayleigh has the power app. He said she is able to change nominations next week.
3:00-4:00 PM: Faysal told Bayleigh that Rachel is acting really weird. Bayleigh said Rachel is a panicked mess who believes that Brett is going to talk his way out of this. Bayleigh wondered what would happen if Rachel wins HoH next week. She thinks Rachel would nominate Scottie and Rockstar. Faysal agreed. Faysal advised Bayleigh to tell people that she wants Brett to go, explaining that they wont be able to compete with the case he can make at the end if he survives the block multiple times.
4:00-5:00 PM: Bayleigh told Faysal that Scottie and Tyler are a dynamic duo. She thinks they will want to go after Faysal, not the two of them. She said he needs to watch out for that. Bayleigh mentioned that they might try to team up with him this week while they are all have-nots together. Faysal said he isn’t too concerned since he smoked them in both of the veto competitions that he played against them in. Bayleigh and Faysal discussed their options for Bayleigh’s power. Faysal is concerned that he will go up if Angela or Kaycee win HoH. He suggested that Bayleigh could nominate Kaycee and Rachel if Angela wins HoH. He told her that people would assume it was JC, Rockstar, Scottie or Tyler who used the power. Bayleigh explained that the problem is Rachel confronted her and said “I know you have a power”, so Rachel might figure it out if she nominates her with it. Faysal said there is no way for her to figure it out, but maybe it’s best not to nominate her. Bayleigh and Haleigh then spoke. Bayleigh said she would like for Brett to be evicted unanimously. Haleigh said she is pretty sure that it will happen. Meanwhile, JC told Brett that he is good with him. He added that it’s beneficial to keep people like Brett in the house, as opposed to Rachel who is difficult to work with. Back upstairs, Haleigh discussed who she would nominate if she wins HoH. She mentioned Sam as a possible nominee. Bayleigh said she would probably have to nominate Angela, Kaycee or Rachel next to her. She then said nominating Rachel as a pawn is a bad idea. She also said nominating Angela might not be a good idea since people might want her out.
5:00-6:00 PM: Bayleigh asked Rockstar if she told the people on the other side that she would be a pawn for them if they kept her over Kaitlyn. Rockstar said no. Bayleigh asked if she is sure. After thinking about it, Rockstar said she may have said that. Bayleigh said she probably did since she was doing a lot of talking that week. Bayleigh thinks it wont matter since they wont let that side win HoH. If Rockstar wins HoH, she said she thinks that she would nominate Angela and Sam. Her goal would be to backdoor Tyler. Out on the hammock, Faysal asked Scottie what he thinks the house is leaning towards. Scottie said he thinks that Brett is going. Faysal asked if it will be unanimous. Scottie said he doesn’t see why it wouldn’t be unless something changes.
6:00-7:00 PM: Rachel told Tyler she thought she was strong but she got thrown for a loop. Tyler said she is a trusting person. Tyler said there is a lot of BS going around. He assured Rachel that he would not try to get Angela put on the block. Rachel said there is something she needs to talk to him about. She said it’s not earth shattering but it will make Tyler understand why she was trusting what Bayleigh said. Rachel added that Bayleigh told her something. Tyler asked if it has to do with the “little place up there that is not the HoH room”, referring to the app store. Rachel confirmed that it does. She told Tyler she will let him know when the time is right. Tyler said they can have a long talk. Up in the HoH room, Faysal let Rachel know that he will be voting to keep her. He said he is stretching his neck out since that means that there will be one less guy in the house. Rachel said she gets where he is coming from. Faysal said he would rather keep her since he would rather work with her than Brett. Rachel said she 100% trusts Faysal. Faysal said he is pretty sure that it’s going to be unanimous.
7:00-8:00 PM: Rachel asked Haleigh if she still has her vote. Haleigh said she definitely does. Haleigh suggested that it may end up being a unanimous vote. Haleigh said Rachel has her vote, Rockstar’s vote and Faysal’s vote for sure. A bit later, Haleigh brought up that it would be amazing if they could get all of the guys out. Rachel asked if Haleigh would be okay with that. Haleigh said for sure. She pointed out that girls alliances don’t work and there has never been a Final 5 with only girls.
8:00-9:00 PM: Faysal asked Scottie if he thinks that Angela and Kaycee will keep Rachel over Brett. Scottie said yeah since Angela told him earlier in the day that she prefers Rachel over Brett. Faysal said it looks like Brett is going home this week then, so the two of them and Tyler have to make sure that they are solid. Faysal expects the girls to come to him with some BS about Scottie if he wins HoH and vice versa. Scottie said he wont buy it. Faysal thinks that Tyler is on the same page. Scottie is hoping that Angela, Rachel and Kaycee can be the next three to go, assuming that Brett goes this week. He said they can go in any order.
9:00-10:00 PM: Kaycee told Angela she feels bad because she knows how much the game means to Rachel. Angela said she feels bad but you can only do so much. Tyler joined them. Angela brought up that Bayleigh heard Brett told the guys about the girls alliance, so she is going to tell her that it was Rachel who told. Angela also wants to tell Bayleigh that Rachel approached both her and Kaycee with a Final 2 deal the same day that Bayleigh spoke to Rachel about wanting to work with the three of them. Kaycee asked how the other votes are going to be explained to Bayleigh. Tyler said he wont hide how he is voting, since Bayleigh told him that she is fine with either one going. Tyler added that Bayleigh already knows he suspects Rachel voted Rockstar out last week. As for JC’s vote, Tyler said that one will be covered up by blaming it on Scottie. Finally, he said Sam told him she is going to vote whichever way he wants her to. Angela talked about letting Bayleigh know after the vote that Rachel told them she has the power as well.
