Big Brother 20 Day 46 - Angela wins the Power of Veto
August 4, 2018
8:00-9:00 AM: Angela gave Sam a heads up that she is going to act very insensitive towards Tyler today. Sam asked if she still loves Tyler. Angela said she totally does. Sam said she plans to use the veto on Tyler if she wins it. Angela said she wants her to do that but she wants the rest of the house to think that she doesn’t want nominations to change. Sam asked who nominated Tyler. She suspected that it could have been Brett. She also threw Haleigh’s name out there. Angela assured Sam that it was not Brett. She said they aren’t sure and she can’t tell anyone in case it gets back to Bayleigh. Sam told Angela that whether is Bayleigh or Haleigh, that side knows that she loves Tyler and will use the veto on him. Sam asked if Bayleigh is going up and going out if Tyler comes down. Angela said that’s a great idea but she wont say that it’s the plan. Sam said she is glad that they had this conversation, because she was looking at Brett sideways prior to it. Angela said the hacker is either Bayleigh, Faysal, Haleigh, or Scottie. Sam said it’s definitely not Faysal, and logically it could be Haleigh. Angela then narrowed it down, saying it’s Bayleigh, Haleigh or Scottie. In the bathroom, Faysal wondered who the hacker will pick to compete. She said people will think Scottie is the hacker if he is picked. Haleigh said Scottie would be smart to not pick himself. She asked Faysal if he would use the veto if Scottie picks him. Faysal said he doesn’t know. Upstairs, Angela let Kaycee know that Faysal spoke to her and said he will do whatever she wants if he wins the veto. Angela said she told him that she is leaning towards keeping nominations the same. Angela hopes that the people on the other side wont fight as hard for the veto if they think that the nominations will stay the same anyway.
9:00-10:00 AM: Players were picked for the veto competition. The veto players are Angela, Rockstar, Tyler, Brett, Kaycee and Scottie. Haleigh, the hacker, chose Kaycee to compete. Rockstar was frustrated by the player draw. She said not a single person who would take her down is competing. Angela told Kaycee she had a feeling that she would be competing. Kaycee said she didn’t think that the hacker would pick her. Bayleigh said she thought that the hacker would pick Kaycee since she is a neutral. Later, JC told Bayleigh, Faysal and Rockstar he doesn’t know who the hacker is. He doesn’t think it’s Scottie since Scottie would have picked himself to play.
10:00-11:00 AM: Tyler asked Sam if she is the hacker. She said no. Tyler said he was just messing with her. He said it’s Bayleigh. Sam said it could be Haleigh as well. In the bedroom, JC told Faysal that Haleigh is being weird. He told Faysal not to throw his name out there when he is with Haleigh at all. He suggested changing the subject if Haleigh brings his name up. JC assured Faysal that he is good this week, so he just needs to keep quiet. JC said he will let Faysal know if he hears anything about him being in danger. Angela and Kaycee discussed that their alliance members are call competing today. Kaycee said it’s perfect. Angela thinks that Scottie could be convinced to use the veto on Tyler. Tyler joined them. The girls encouraged him to cut a deal with Scottie in order to get him to use the veto on him. Kaycee said Scottie is going to want to make sure that none of his people are being backdoored if he uses the veto. Tyler thinks they might have to pretend that JC would go on the block. Tyler let the girls in on various plans that he has come up with in the event that he doesn’t win the veto. If Scottie wins, Tyler wants to stage a fight between Brett and himself. He said the girls can get involved as well, making it seem like Brett would go on the block if Scottie uses the veto.
11:00-12:00 PM: Tyler told Angela and Kaycee that if nominations stay the same, he would have a house meeting and tell everyone that they are overlooking the similarities between a couple of people. He brought up that Rockstar and Scottie have the same nose, plus Rockstar wont ever say her last name. He said she talks about having family members that she can’t discuss. Tyler said he would tell people that Rockstar and Scottie are brother and sister. He would then say Scottie would never vote her out, except for the fact that he already did it when he and Scottie planned together to have Scottie vote Rockstar out in order to pin the vote on Rachel last week. Tyler thinks it all sounds too crazy to be true but he will try to convince people that Rockstar and Scottie are related. Kaycee said they hopefully wont have to use that plan. Tyler asked who would go up if Rockstar wins the veto. Angela said it would be someone from the other side. She mentioned that it still might be Bayleigh. Tyler said he will probably start screaming at the hacker, saying the hacker is going home, if he wins the veto. After Tyler left the room, Angela told Kaycee she cannot wait to see Bayleigh’s face when she goes on the block. Kaycee said it sucks that it had to come down to this, but Bayleigh messed up. Angela suggested that they could nominate Scottie and pin everything on him if Rockstar wins the veto. Rockstar and Tyler discussed the veto players. Rockstar said it was definitely not the best draw for her. Tyler said he was not expecting the hacker to pick Kaycee to play. Tyler told Rockstar that neither of them are going to go home this week.
12:00-1:00 PM: Feeds went down at 12:20 for the veto competition.
2:00-3:00 PM: Feeds returned at 2:35 following the veto competition. It was a prizes and punishments competition. Angela won the Power of Veto. Tyler won a trip to Hawaii, Scottie won $5,000, and both Brett and Kaycee will have some form of punishment costume. Up in the HoH room, Angela was concerned about how things played out. She said she openly told everyone that she is going to use the veto on Tyler. Tyler passed up taking the Power of Veto in order to take the trip. Angela, JC and Kaycee discussed how to play it off. Angela figured he could say that the fact that Scottie wanted to give up $5,000 for the veto, saying he would save Tyler, worried her that something else might be going on. Angela said it was the only thing she knew to do to keep Tyler safe. Meanwhile, Tyler spoke to Scottie about what just happened. He reassured Scottie that Angela is not going to nominate him. Tyler told Rockstar that this just saved the two of them and Scottie. Scottie and Tyler headed upstairs to talk to Angela. Angela told Tyler that he is coming down and told Scottie that he will not be going up. Tyler brought up that people are making Scottie swear on the bible that he either did or did not do certain things. Angela and Tyler agreed that that’s wrong. Scottie was tearing up. Tyler said Scottie is the most trustworthy dude. Angela assured Scottie that she has his back. She explained that he was never her target. Tyler told Angela that she has got the two of them moving forward. Scottie said the people he thought had him were playing him. Angela brought up that they are always telling her that Scottie is the one flipping votes. Scottie said they told him that Angela, Kaycee and Rachel were the ones saying that. Angela said no. Scottie said they tried to get him to go after those three. Angela said they want him to do their dirty work, which Scottie agreed with.
3:00-4:00 PM: Angela told Scottie she doesn’t want him to feel like he can’t trust anyone. Scottie said he has her, Tyler, Brett and Kaycee now. Tyler asked if they should keep Bayleigh thinking that she is not going to be the replacement nominee. Angela said yes. She said she wants everyone to think that she has not yet made a decision. Scottie headed to the have-not room. He told Brett that he owes him the biggest apology for not trusting him. He explained that people have been blaming Brett, Angela and Kaycee for so much stuff to him, and he bought into it. Brett brought up that he doesn’t understand how Tyler can be on the block but not take the veto. Scottie said he doesn’t know why Tyler didn’t let him win the veto when they both would have been guaranteed safety. Brett said Scottie is probably fine but he doesn’t know if he can say the same for himself. Scottie said Brett should be fine too. Brett said he doesn’t understand what just happened. Tyler came by and apologized for taking the trip. Brett said he doesn’t understand it. Tyler then asked to speak to Brett alone. Brett said he had to take advantage of the situation to sell it that he is mad. Brett said only Angela and Kaycee can know that the is not actually mad. Brett told Tyler he plans to play the role and talk about how it doesn’t make any sense. He said he already did that with Faysal, JC and Scottie. Brett plans to go to Bayleigh to ask if she still doesn’t believe that he is on an island by himself. He wants to position himself where Bayleigh trusts him so that Faysal will trust him as well. Tyler let Kaycee know that Brett is not actually pissed. Tyler said he and Brett are essentially switching roles, as Brett now appears on the outside of their group. Haleigh passed by Tyler and told him the best thing about this is “screw the f*cking hacker”.
4:00-5:00 PM: Angela, JC and Tyler discussed the plan to nominate Bayleigh. Meanwhile, Bayleigh told Kaycee that nobody has talked to her in the past three hours. She said everyone is walking around like they are pissed. Kaycee said she has no idea what’s going on since Angela is being super vague about it. Bayleigh asked Kaycee if she wants to go talk to Angela with her. They then headed up to the HoH room. Angela brought up that Scottie was willing to throw $5,000 out he window, which made her think that something could be up. Bayleigh said Scottie thought beforehand that this could all be a plan to backdoor him. Bayleigh said she is worried for Angela because she is in a not so good spot with having to potentially nominate another houseguest. Angela said she should have let Tyler keep the veto in order to take himself down. Bayleigh asked Angela what she is going to do now that she has promised both Scottie and Tyler safety. Angela said she has no idea. Outside of the HoH room, Tyler told JC that people might be catching on to him trying to even out the sides. Tyler suggested that they might have to take two in a row out from the same side in order to prevent people from catching on. JC mentioned that Bayleigh and Rockstar could go. Angela went to the have-not room. She let Sam know that she will obviously not be the replacement nominee, though she doesn’t know who it will be. Sam asked if Angela is going to take Tyler down. Angela pointed out that she promised she would in front of everyone. Tyler then spoke to Angela. He informed her that Brett is not actually pissed. They discussed potentially making it sound as though Brett will be the replacement nominee. Angela doesn’t want Bayleigh to see it coming when she gets nominated on Monday.
5:00-6:00 PM: Brett told Angela his plan to gain Faysal’s trust by first gaining Bayleigh’s before she leaves. Brett said he is also going to position himself this way so that Bayleigh doesn’t cancel his vote. Angela listed off the votes to evict Bayleigh as Brett, JC, Kaycee, Sam and Tyler. She said even if one is cancelled, they still have the votes. Brett said he wouldn’t be surprised if the vote becomes unanimous once the other side sees that Bayleigh is going. Brett wondered if they should try to sell it that they are keeping her in order to get Rockstar to turn on that side. Angela said 100%. Brett spoke to Bayleigh about what transpired at the veto competition. Both said they don’t understand what happened. Bayleigh questioned if there was a motive behind someone on the block passing on the veto. Faysal said Angela wanted to take back control of her HoH. Faysal thinks that Angela either wants the ability to make a big move, or stay with a move that she already had in mind. Bayleigh said the only mind blowing move would be if Angela takes Rockstar down in order to put another strong player up, but she doubts that that’s going to happen. Brett said Tyler would be getting screwed in that deal, and he thinks that Tyler will be taken down.
6:00-7:00 PM: Bayleigh told Brett and Faysal she thinks that Angela is going to want to keep blood off of her hands, because she will want to set herself up well for next week when she cannot win HoH. Bayleigh said you want to be good with everybody when you are HoH. Bayleigh mentioned not being able to understand how two people who are in danger were able to get the best prizes. Brett later mentioned that he is getting screwed in all of this. Bayleigh said it looked like it was Brett, Winston, Angela, Kaycee and Rachel, but she is now utterly confused. Brett said he isn’t in with them even though they all thought that he was. In the storage room, Tyler told Angela he is wondering if Bayleigh can use her power at the veto ceremony. He thinks they need to play it safe in order to make sure that Bayleigh doesn’t use her power. They discussed making it seem like they think that Brett is the hacker and the potential replacement nominee. Tyler worried that Scottie would tell Bayleigh about them thinking that she is the hacker. Tyler plans to talk to Scottie in order to reiterate that they cannot let Bayleigh know. Tyler suggested that Angela could make it seem as though she is thinking of not using the veto when she talks to Bayleigh. Tyler then spoke to Kaycee about the issue. She figures that Scottie wouldn’t go tell Bayleigh anything when he knows that he is at risk of being a replacement nominee. Kaycee also doesn’t think that Bayleigh’s power can be used at the veto ceremony. She pointed out that Bayleigh asked her in the past if she would nominate Faysal initially or wait for a backdoor. Kaycee thought it would be a good idea to tell Scottie that only he, Angela and Tyler know about Bayleigh being the hacker, so they will know who said something if it gets out. Tyler continued to worry about Bayleigh’s power. Angela and Kaycee think that it would be too much power for her to be able to use it at the veto ceremony as well as at the nomination ceremony.
7:00-8:00 PM: Angela told Kaycee she hopes that Scottie is as solid with her as she thinks that he is. She figures that you can't fake the emotion that he showed while talking to her earlier. Tyler pulled Scottie aside to tell him he thinks only the two of them and Angela know what’s going to happen, so he doesn’t want anyone else knowing. Tyler said he doesn’t want it to get out and get back to Angela, then she changes her mind by some chance. Both Scottie and Tyler agreed that they are feeling pretty good at the moment. Elsewhere, Bayleigh, Haleigh and Rockstar discussed the plan for the week. Haleigh said she thinks that Scottie and Tyler have a Final 2 deal. She thinks Angela needs to know about that, because putting them on the block together would be a big move. They discussed getting the girls together to solidify the girls alliance. Haleigh said they will all have to be better at communicating in order for it to work. Bayleigh said it has to start with Rockstar, as she needs to talk to Angela. Haleigh told Rockstar to remind Angela that Scottie was throwing her name out. Rockstar headed up to the HoH room. She said that she, Bayleigh and Haleigh would like to talk about uniting their three with Angela and Kaycee. Angela said she didn’t know that the girls alliance was still a thing, seeing as Rockstar was the only one to mention it in her one on one this week. Rockstar said Bayleigh and Haleigh are all about it. Haleigh joined them. She pointed out that Scottie and Tyler are clearly working together. Angela mentioned that they were talking game during the veto competition, leading her to wonder what was going on. Haleigh said they will be able to control the vote every week if the five of them stick together. She said they are being excluded from so many private meetings that are taking place. Angela asked who was in those meetings. Haleigh said the guys were, though JC is not a part of anything since he is too scared. The talk was then broken up.
8:00-9:00 PM: Kaycee received her punishment costume which she has to wear for a week. Bayleigh spoke to Haleigh about her plan to pitch to the girls. She talked about offering to use her power to change the nominations if one of them don’t win HoH next week, unless Faysal wins and they can get him to nominate two others. Bayleigh let Haleigh know that she would still have her power for another week after next if she doesn’t have to use it. Even if a girl ends up on the block, Bayleigh said they could all vote to keep that person.
9:00-10:00 PM: Angela and Kaycee discussed the girls alliance that is being proposed to them. Angela said she will out the alliance in her veto speech, saying that they were only approached after she won the veto because the girls were scared. Angela and Kaycee planned that they would go along with things for tonight, saying they need to make an actual plan moving forward. Kaycee didn’t want to do much talking, letting the others do it instead. She suggested that they keep their responses vague. Bayleigh came to speak to Angela and Kaycee. She said she is under the impression that Angela is considering making a big move by nominating Scottie in Rockstar’s place. Bayleigh said if whoever stays wins HoH, she can change up the nominations. Angela asked if Bayleigh is willing to change nominations to save her if she thinks that someone else is nominating her. Bayleigh worried that the hacker would put her up if she does that, so she said she would be pissed if the girls didn’t actually have her back and she went home over it. Angela mentioned that she has Scottie and Tyler’s trust right now. Bayleigh asked who she would nominate if she follows through on her deals with those two. Angela said she doesn’t know. She later said she wants to make the decision that will get the least amount of blood on her hands. The talk was interrupted as Rockstar came out of the diary room in her punishment costume.
10:00-11:00 PM: Angela let Sam know that the girls are trying to start something back up that didn’t work the first time. She told Sam to know that the girls don’t have her back. Sam asked if that includes Kaycee. Angela said she and Kaycee have Sam’s back. She clarified that everyone who voted to keep Sam is still on her said and is backing her 100%. Angela said they are trying to pull her and Kaycee in. Sam asked if she isn’t being pulled in. Angela told Sam that she probably isn’t if she hasn’t already been approached. Sam began to worry that she might be nominated. Angela reassured her that she is not nominating her. Elsewhere, Bayleigh and Haleigh discussed that Faysal needs to make a deal with Angela, agreeing not to target her if he wins HoH. It was discussed that Faysal could nominate Brett and Sam without touching anyone in the girls alliance.
11:00-12:00 AM: Haleigh told Faysal that he has to talk to her and Bayleigh about a deal that they are making with Angela. Haleigh said the deal is that Faysal cannot nominate Angela. Faysal said he wont. Haleigh told him that it is not yet a sure thing, as they still need to have a meeting. Faysal then spoke to Bayleigh who told him that Angela thinks he will nominate her. Faysal said he wouldn’t do that if she doesn’t put him up. Faysal brought up that Scottie and Tyler are playing both sides and are in good with everyone, yet they are being promised safety. Bayleigh said Faysal should bring that up. Bayleigh told Faysal that JC is the only option left if Angela keeps those two safe, so he needs to be okay with that. Faysal said he needs to stay in the game. Bayleigh headed upstairs to talk to Angela. She said Faysal promised not to nominate Angela. Breaking up Scottie and Tyler was discussed. Bayleigh explained that Scottie will come after Angela even if she keeps her word and saves Tyler. Bayleigh told Angela that there are safe moves she can make it she doesn’t want to nominate Scottie, but Bayleigh said she isn’t there to make safe moves. Haleigh joined them. She talked about wanting to work with the girls alliance. She placed part of the blame on Kaitlyn and Rachel for the first attempt being a failure. Haleigh said that nominating Scottie next to Tyler would be the biggest move that has been made in the game so far. Bayleigh said she doesn’t want Angela to feel pressured by anyone, and she has her support no matter what she chooses to do.
12:00-1:00 AM: Haleigh told Faysal that Angela is considering nominating Scottie next to Tyler. Faysal thinks that it would be the biggest move in Big Brother history since Angela promised them both safety. He said Angela would have protection from everyone else in the house if she makes that move. Haleigh said she has a strong feeling that Angela will indeed make the move. Haleigh let Faysal know that Bayleigh offered to use her power next week if Angela is going to make this move. Faysal thinks it’s a fair deal. Haleigh encouraged Faysal to speak with Angela tomorrow in order to make sure that she feels confident that people will have her back and not come after her.
