Big Brother 20 Day 53 - Tyler wins the Power of Veto
August 11, 2018
9:00-10:00 AM: Players were picked for the veto competition. The veto players are Haleigh, Angela, Rockstar, Faysal, Kaycee and Tyler. Kaycee, the hacker, chose Tyler to compete. While feeds were down, there was some sort of confrontation between Rockstar and Kaycee in which Rockstar commented that there were six other people that could have went on the block. Kaycee denied being the hacker. Haleigh told Rockstar she believes that Kaycee is indeed the hacker. She figures that Kaycee chose Tyler to compete because he could take Angela down if he wins, then Angela, Brett, Scottie and Tyler will vote to keep her if she goes back on the block.
10:00-11:00 AM: Haleigh told Rockstar that they have to stop hanging out so much. She said people are clearly seeing them as a duo, which Scottie has mentioned. Haleigh said Rockstar was put on the block in order to hurt her. She commented that Rockstar is up in the HoH room from the time she wakes up until she goes to bed. Rockstar questioned who she is supposed to hang out with when people are not nice to her. Haleigh said she just doesn’t want them to be nominated together. As for this week, Haleigh said the good thing about getting Kaycee back on the block next to Angela is that Kaycee will cancel one of Angela’s votes. The two discussed that Scottie may be the hacker if it isn’t Kaycee. Rockstar was suspicious of him wearing the hacker hoodie to the ceremony, due to him wearing a Swaggy C t-shirt while evicting him. Haleigh said she saw all of the cameras on Kaycee during the competition, plus she heard her ankles popping when she jumped. Haleigh said the cameras were on her when she won last week’s competition. Meanwhile, Angela, Kaycee and Tyler discussed that the veto competition is do or die and they have to win it. Kaycee filled them in on what happened with Rockstar. Kaycee said Rockstar came up to her and asked if she knows that there are six other people in the house. Kaycee said she lost it from there, denying that she was the hacker.
11:00-12:00 PM: Brett and Haleigh discussed the veto draw. Brett said it’s split 50/50, though he isn’t 100% sure where Tyler lies. Haleigh said Tyler told her that he wants to build a bridge, allowing them to not have to target each other all summer, so he is going to come to her if he wins. Haleigh isn’t sure if he was being honest. Haleigh told Brett she thinks that Tyler is working too hard with the other side, though she believes that Brett is at times too. She pointed out that he ran out of the room when she came to say goodnight last night. Brett explained that Sam was freaking out and he was just filling them in on what had happened. Haleigh said she thought that Sam would calm down once she saw that she wasn’t nominate, but she has gotten progressively worse. Brett said he thought that she was going to self evict last night. Haleigh thinks that she will if Rockstar leaves. Brett asked Haleigh how her relationship with Tyler is. Haleigh said she thinks that they are bluffing to each other’s faces, and she thinks that Tyler is still working with the other side. Brett said he isn’t that tight with Tyler. Haleigh said nobody really is, but Scottie is good with him. She said Tyler is close with Angela and Kaycee but it was pushed on him because he feels like he has no one else. Brett said he thinks that Scottie is the only person who Tyler is close with. Haleigh wondered who it would be best to have on the block next to Rockstar. Brett said they might not have the votes if Tyler goes up, which Haleigh agreed with. Haleigh asked Brett what he thinks if the two girls are nominated. Brett said he thinks that Kaycee is more of a threat.
12:00-1:00 PM: Brett and Haleigh discussed the cloud app that appeared on the screen a while back. Haleigh said it was described as a man on a cloud, which she took to mean that you are on cloud nine because you are safe. She pointed out that the iCloud is for backup protection.
3:00-4:00 PM: Haleigh spoke to Faysal, Rockstar and Scottie about the plan for the week. They discussed the votes in the event that Rockstar is stuck on the block. Haleigh said she trusts Brett to an extent and Faysal trusts JC to an extent. Scottie said he doesn’t think that Brett wants to make any waves. Haleigh said Brett seems to feel included and part of a group now. Haleigh doesn’t think that he would choose the three on the other side over their five. As for JC, Haleigh said he is smart and he will not pass up the opportunity to take out a big target. Haleigh talked about wanting Angela and Kaycee on the block cause they have pissed her off. Rockstar said she doesn’t think that Haleigh should even backdoor Tyler. Haleigh said she isn’t planning on it. She mentioned that she has already pissed two people off, so she might as well send one home. Rockstar said Angela is the apex of the other side, so she would be a good target. Meanwhile, Brett spoke to his Level 6 allies. He said he is selling it that Angela would leave if she remains on the block with Rockstar. Brett said Haleigh is leaning towards nominating Kaycee again rather than putting Tyler on the block.
4:00-5:00 PM: Feeds went down at 4:25 for the veto competition.
6:00-7:00 PM: Feeds returned at 6:38 following the veto competition. Tyler won the Power of Veto. The competition was OTEV. At one point, Tyler had grabbed the wrong answer. Rockstar asked him if she had the right answer, which led Tyler to realize that he had the wrong answer. He went back down to get the correct one. Rockstar spoke to Haleigh. She said Tyler made her a promise. Haleigh asked what he said. Rockstar said Tyler told her “I wont f*ck you”. Haleigh said she is going to pitch to Tyler that Angela and Kaycee only became tight to him when they needed him. She also wants to bring up that they said they were going to try to build trust with each other this week. Haleigh asked Rockstar to tell Tyler that she never once said she wanted to backdoor him.
7:00-8:00 PM: Rockstar spoke to Tyler. She said she feels as though she has a lot to prove in this house. She said she keeps getting thrown on the block. Tyler said that Rockstar showed everybody she can win a physical competition. Rockstar told Tyler that he was not going on the block. Tyler said he has a lot to think about after what Haleigh did to him last week. Rockstar brought up that Tyler wouldn’t have one if not for her comparing answers with him. Rockstar said the veto would then have gone either to her or to Haleigh. Rockstar explained that a fire has been lit under her, as she now believes that she can win a competition, and she would not nominate or backdoor Tyler if she does. Tyler said he needs to talk to Haleigh since he has a lot to think about. In the have-not room, Angela, Brett and Kaycee discussed their options. The girls wondered if they can use this opportunity to get someone other than Rockstar out. Scottie’s name was mentioned. Angela said Tyler is using the veto on her. Brett said there is no way that Haleigh will get rid of Faysal, Rockstar or Scottie. He thought they should leave nominations the same. Kaycee said they have the numbers either way so they want Haleigh to have to get more blood on her hands by nominating someone else, whether it’s her or another person. Brett said he doesn’t want to risk exposing too much. He suggested that they just take out the number for the other side in Rockstar. The girls eventually agreed after talking it over. Upstairs, Haleigh told Faysal she is concerned that Kaycee might have the power, so she doesn’t know if she can put her back up. Faysal said she has to put her up even if she thinks that, because Kaycee will already be mad at her for putting her up once. Haleigh said her only options to nominate are Brett, JC, Sam and Scottie if Kaycee has a power, and they are all working with them. Faysal and Haleigh voiced their frustrations with Rockstar for having shown Tyler her answer. Faysal said it was looking so good when the competition was down to Tyler, Rockstar and the two of them. Haleigh brought up that she doesn’t trust anyone. She said she doesn’t trust Faysal sometimes. Faysal asked if she is serious. Haleigh said yeah. When Faysal asked why, Haleigh said she doesn’t know. Faysal couldn’t believe that she doesn’t trust him after 53 days. He walked out of the room. Haleigh and Scottie then spoke. Haleigh and Scottie agreed that Tyler is likely going to save Angela. Haleigh said Scottie will then go up. Haleigh said Scottie is Tyler’s #1, so he has more pull on him than Angela and Kaycee do. Haleigh said she would even be fine with Tyler leaving the nominations the same. If Kaycee has a power, Haleigh said JC would be the only one left for her to nominate.
8:00-9:00 PM: Haleigh told Scottie that Angela is pretty much doing the same thing with Tyler that Kaitlyn did, but not to the same extreme. Scottie said he cannot tell Tyler that, or else he will say that’s what Haleigh is doing with him. Haleigh said it’s different because they have been friends since week two. Haleigh let Scottie know about her conversation with Faysal in which she said she doesn’t trust him. Scottie said Faysal always goes straight to JC with everything, which his why he stopped telling Faysal things. Scottie said JC will probably be his target if he wins HoH next week. Haleigh said she would support Scottie in that. Scottie said anything he ever tells anybody gets back to JC. Haleigh told Scottie she trusts him and Brett so much that it’s ridiculous and she will probably look stupid for it. Rockstar joined them. She recapped her conversation with Tyler. Haleigh said she guarantees that Tyler made a deal with Angela, but she also guaranteed that her speech for Tyler will be better than anything that Angela can pitch to him. Scottie said it will be a tough sell. Haleigh agreed since they are asking him to save someone who he hasn’t had much of a relationship with over someone who saved him last week, and to trust the person who targeted him last week as well. Even if nominations stay the same, Haleigh believes that they have the numbers to get rid of Angela.
9:00-10:00 PM: Rockstar asked Haleigh what they can offer Tyler. Haleigh said nothing but protection. She said she is willing to offer him safety for three weeks. Rockstar discussed doing the same. Haleigh mentioned that she might be able to get Faysal to do the same. Haleigh said Tyler is susceptible to to power, to flirting, and to pretty girls. She said it will be hard pitch but she is feeling really confident right now. Haleigh admitted that it might be because she is a little bit tipsy. Elsewhere, JC and Kaycee discussed that Kaycee will likely be the replacement nominee. JC assured Kaycee that she has his vote 150% and that she will not leave. Brett let Tyler know that Kaycee would go up since Haleigh doesn’t want to get more blood on her hands. Tyler said Kaycee knows that and he will make sure that she is okay with it. Brett said he doesn’t see Haleigh going crazy and putting him up. Tyler said Brett would stay even if she did. Tyler told Brett that JC came to him and said he has been trying to play both sides but he doesn’t think that he can do that with the other side anymore.
10:00-11:00 PM: Haleigh and Rockstar spoke to Tyler up in the HoH room. Rockstar told Tyler that Haleigh, Sam, Faysal and herself are willing to offer him safety if they win HoH. Rockstar said Tyler currently has just two people who would keep him safe. Tyler asked Haleigh if she was the hacker. Haleigh avoided the question at first before telling Tyler that she was the hacker. She said she did not intend for Tyler to go home. Haleigh asked Tyler how close he was to Angela and Kaycee two weeks ago. When he said that he wasn’t close to them, Haleigh said it’s convenient that they are close to him now. Rockstar told Tyler that Sam talks game with her and only her. She said Sam is willing to offer safety to Tyler. Rockstar said the four people are offering three weeks of safety. Haleigh said she wishes that Tyler could have seen that she would not have come after him if she had won the veto. Tyler asked if Haleigh’s replacement nominee is Kaycee. Haleigh said yeah. She told Tyler that she wanted her nominees to go back to the way that they were. Haleigh reassured Tyler that she will not be his target in the event that she gets in power in the next two to five weeks. Tyler asked why she put him on the block then. Haleigh said it was ill-advised. Haleigh said there are so many other moves to be made. Tyler said he is glad that she sees that. Tyler asked to have a one on one with Haleigh. He asked her who the hacker was last week. Haleigh said it was her. Haleigh stressed that she is not coming after Tyler. Tyler asked if Angela is her target. Haleigh confirmed that she wants Angela to leave. She said she does not know who she would put up other than Kaycee, and she doesn’t know if Kaycee would leave over Rockstar. Haleigh mentioned that they have a mutual trust with Scottie. Haleigh said Scottie is her favourite person in the house and it pissed her off that Angela, Kaycee and Tyler were telling him that she was playing him. Haleigh said she trusts Scottie 100% in every situation.
11:00-12:00 AM: Haleigh told Tyler that she will not be mad at him regardless of what he does, but she will be upset if she has to watch Rockstar sit on the block next to someone who she will probably go home over. Tyler asked where Brett falls in all of this. Haleigh said she and Brett are very close. She said Scottie is getting close with Brett as well, but she she thinks that he is a free agent. Before the talk wrapped up, Haleigh told Tyler she thinks that Rockstar will be semi-okay if nominations stay the same, but it only takes one person to flip. Haleigh said she will not speak to anyone for the rest of the summer if Rockstar leaves this week, and she is going to ask to be put up. After Tyler left, Faysal came back up to the HoH room. Haleigh asked him if he flipped his vote. Faysal swore to God that he didn’t. Faysal told Haleigh that she will look stupid when she watches this back. Haleigh asked him once again. Faysal said he doesn’t know what to say. Faysal mentioned that JC, Rockstar, or Scottie had to have flipped. He added that JC could have done it and he might be playing him, though they did not discuss that possibility any further.
12:00-1:00 AM: Brett told Angela that the other side thinks that Kaycee has a power. Angela said she doesn’t want Kaycee to go up. She explained that she wants Haleigh to get more blood on her hands by nominating someone else in hope of saving Rockstar. Brett brought up that Sam is someone who could float all the way to the end, then everyone would vote for her because she is the nicest person. Angela said she still thinks that Faysal and Scottie need to be targeted first. Brett agreed. He said Faysal needs to be the first to go. Angela said Faysal would be a good backdoor target next week. Brett brought up that it’s convenient how Sam went to the other side, stayed off the block, then came back to them and apologized once their side go the power back by winning the veto. Kaycee came by. She said JC told her that he is loyal to them. She said JC mentioned Faysal came to him and said he has to keep Rockstar there if he doesn’t want to be at the bottom of the totem pole and become a pawn. Angela wondered if they could get JC nominated so that they don’t have to worry about his vote. Brett said Faysal would never let that happen. Kaycee is confident that JC will not vote her out. Tyler came by to fill the alliance in on his talk with Haleigh and Rockstar. He said he is being offered safety from Faysal, Haleigh, Rockstar and Sam if he uses the veto on Rockstar. Tyler told the group that Rockstar is saying that she has Sam. Despite that, Kaycee believes that Sam will for sure keep her. Brett asked if Haleigh told Tyler what she is going to do. Tyler said she told him that Kaycee would be the replacement nominee. Tyler also said that Haleigh pretty much told him that she has a Final 2 with Scottie and that Rockstar is good at the game and dictates what goes on over there. Tyler said he cannot believe that they are pitching so hard to him when Angela used the veto on him last week and Haleigh put him on the block.
