Big Brother 21 Day 45 - Jess nominates Jack and Jackson
August 2, 2019
11:00-12:00 PM: Nick was the first person to have his one on one with Jess. He said that even though the six are claiming to be dead, you never know. Nick let Jess know that he is in her corner but he will not tell her who to put up. Jess said that she has reason to nominate absolutely anybody at this point. She pointed out that there was an alliance that she wasn’t in. She talked about people having disrespected the HoHs of late by trying to flip the votes. Nick told Jess that he has her back if she would like to pick him to play in the veto competition in order to help secure her nominations. Jess said that they will also have to take into account that there is a power out there, so she will have to speak to Christie. Nick doesn’t think that Christie would chance using it this week when it could put a big target on her for the double eviction. Nick told Jess that yesterday’s blow up was good since the six no longer want to work with Jackson, making it less likely that she would get blood on her hands if she chooses to make that move. Nick said it’s pretty clear that right now it is the two of them, Cliff, Kat and Nicole against the six. He added that they could make it 5 on 5 heading into next week. They two talked about being the underdogs. Nick said that he is fine with being called that, since people will continue to doubt them but they will eventually grab the majority. Nick let Jess know that he had been in talks with Cliff and Nicole about taking their shot this week if they were to win HoH. He said that he would not make a safe move, as he would rather give the underdogs a chance. Elsewhere, Tommy cried as he spoke to Kat about feeling guilty when it comes to what transpired yesterday. Tommy claimed that he will win HoH next week in order to prove himself to Kat. Kat said that she is not offended by the vote flip but she is slightly offended that people were so quick to throw her under the bus without hearing her out. Tommy apologized. He said that what he did was disrespectful to the relationship that they had built. Kat said it means so much that he is apologizing like this.
12:00-1:00 PM: Jack explained to Jess that he is going to name names even though he has worked very hard not to throughout the game. Jack said that Jess needs to be in the loop. Jack mentioned that he was blindsiding Kat due to the information that was given to him. He went on to say that Jackson had told him that Holly and Kat knew each other coming into the game, and he decided that he could not have them in jury together. Jack said that it has all put a dagger in his relationship with Jackson, so he has not spoken to him in 24 hours. Jess let Jack know that he is someone who she is considering nominating but he is not her target. Jess brought up that nobody came to her to let her know that the vote was flipping, so once again she was going to be left on the outs. Jack said that he made that decision not to tell her because he worried that she would have told Kat. In the storage room, Tommy told Kat that he will not be working with Jackson moving forward. Tommy said that he kept a secret that Jackson asked him to, yet the next morning Jackson was telling Jack that he and Analyse could not be trusted. Jack joined them. When Kat attempted to talk to him about what had happened yesterday, Jack said that he will be going on the block because he tried to flip the vote and he did not let Jess in on it. Jack clarified that that’s not really why but it gave Jess a reason to use. Kat told Jack that she understands the gameplay behind the flip but wishes that she was kept more in the loop about it. Kat then checked in with Jackson. She let him know that he is good with Jess. Jackson apologized to Kat for having trusted the wrong people. He singled out Jack as someone who he should not have trusted. Kat informed Jackson that even if he goes on the block, she is 99.99% sure that he is good with Jess. Kat advised Jackson against bringing up Christie in his talks with Jess. Jackson said that he has trusted Kat since Day 1, so he will not stop now. Up in the HoH room, Jess told Christie that she has an idea of what needs to happen. Christie told Jess that she will have her support no matter what she decides to do this week. Christie added that there needs to be a shift. Jess told Christie that she took what happened yesterday personally due to it involving one of her best friends on the block, and someone was able to convince the whole house to flip on a dime. Jess also noted that she was purposely kept out of the loop by that person who claimed that they were making the best decision for the house. Christie told Jess that she and Nicole were not okay with Jess being left out of it.
1:00-2:00 PM: Christie suggested that Jess do what she needs to do when it comes to this week’s nominations. She explained that the six is no more. While Christie admitted that Jack has her back, she said that she does not agree with the things that he does in the game. Christie claimed that she will not be using her power even if Jack approaches her to ask her to use it. She told Jess that it is not about not having Jack’s back but rather that she has to look out for herself. Jess implied that Jack and Jackson would be put on the block to duke it out. Christie said that she would want Jackson to go over Jack in a heartbeat. She told Jess that she would throw the veto if she is selected to play. Jess pointed out that it would give the nominees a better shot at winning, so she would prefer that Christie fight for it and then not use it. Jess talked about not wanting to have to choose another nominee when there are not many options. She told Christie that she has no reason to nominate Cliff, Kat or Nicole. Christie then gave her word that she will gun for the veto if she is chosen to play. She gave her word on her sister that she would do that and that she would not use her power. Christie reassured Jess that she supports her and understands that whoever remains on the block, even if the veto is won by a nominee, needs to go this week.
2:00-3:00 PM: Kat let Holly in on Jess’ plan to target Jack. Holly said that it is a wise decision for Jess and for everybody. Kat said that they only need four votes in order to get to Jess as the tiebreaker, and they have that in Cliff, Nicole and the two of them. Kat stressed that nobody can know about the plan since Christie might use her power if she finds out about it. Holly asked if Kat thinks that Jess will nominate Jack and Jackson. Kat confirmed that she thinks that that will happen. She said that Analyse or Tommy will go up if the veto is used. Kat went on to say that Analyse and Jack have not gone out of their way to apologize to her. Kat questioned why Analyse thinks that she is running things. Kat said that she is dumb and not that pretty. The two then talked about people thinking that they know each other. Holly said that they have met but they were not friend outside of the house, so the other relationships that have developed in the house are just as deep as theirs. Looking ahead to next week, Kat said that she would probably go after Analyse. Kat let Holly know that everyone is telling her that Jackson was trying to get her out. Kat said that she is playing along with it but she is not planning on putting him up. Upstairs, Jess told Analyse that she feels disrespected considering that she was not seen as part of the house. She said that she would like for everyone to trust the process and not use the veto if it is not won by one of the nominees themselves. Analyse assured Jess that she wants to respect her wishes as HoH. Analyse said that she will vote however Jess wants her to. When Jackson spoke to Jess, he told her that he is proud of her for winning HoH. Jackson suggested that she do whatever is best for her game, even if it means that he goes on the block. Meanwhile, Analyse told Jack that her conversation with Jess led her to believe that Christie will not be using the power. Jack said he doesn’t even think that Christie would trust him enough to give him the power at this point. Jack said that he made a bad choice yesterday. He thinks that he should have listened to Jackson and alienated Christie. As for Tommy, Jack stressed that he can be trusted. Analyse pointed out that he fights for Christie so hard.
3:00-4:00 PM: Feeds went down at 3:07 for the nomination ceremony.
4:00-5:00 PM: Feeds returned at 4:13 following the nomination ceremony. Jess nominated Jack and Jackson for eviction. Jackson quickly spoke to Jess to let her know that nothing will change between them as a result of this. Elsewhere, Christie asked Nick and Tommy if they know that Jack is not going home. Both agreed with her that Jack will not be leaving. Christie said that she has been running through scenarios, and everyone on the other side would leave the nominations the same. She expects that Jackson would then be voted out. Christie and Tommy agreed that Holly would leave nominations the same. Nick disagreed with them. Meanwhile, Kat told Jess that she does not want Jackson to leave this week. Jess agreed. She said that somebody else can take him out. She mentioned that Jack is very condescending and he mansplains. Back downstairs, Christie told Nick and Tommy that she would not want to use her power unless she were to win the veto. She brought up the possibility of nominating Cliff but said that she would prefer to see Jackson go before Cliff. Christie said that it would be an embarrassment if Kat were to keep Jackson. She thinks that Jackson is defeated and he does not even want to stay at this point. Jess told Holly that she would like for nominations to stay the same but she would not be upset if Jackson were to win the veto. Jess let Holly know that she was promised that the power would not be used. Kat worried that Jack may be able to convince Christie to use her power. Jess thinks that Christie would make herself an automatic target if she chooses to do that. Holly told Jess that she respects her decision and she supports her even though she hates to see Jackson on the block.
5:00-6:00 PM: Christie asked Jack if he thinks that Holly would vote to keep Jackson. Jack said yeah. Christie doesn’t think that it will matter anyway, as she believes that they have the five votes needed to evict Jackson either way. Christie and Tommy discussed their belief that Holly, Jackson and Kat really do know each other. Tommy thinks that they were able to break them up even though Kat is still in the house. Tommy explained to Christie that everything that he and Jack did yesterday was for her. Christie admitted that she sometimes does get scared about how close Jack and Tommy are. Tommy brought up that Holly told him that he and Christie are the tightest “showmance” in the house.
6:00-7:00 PM: Cliff, Jess, Kat and Nicole discussed the plan for the week. They agreed that Jack needs to be the one to go this week. Kat let the group know that she will not vote to evict Jackson. Jess said that she would not expect them to. Cliff added that he will be voting to evict Jack if Jack stays on the block, because Jack is targeting him. Kat said that she is not on Jackson’s side but she will be for this week. Both Nicole and Kat said that they would really like to play in the veto competition this week.
7:00-8:00 PM: In the have-not room, Jackson told Nick that he is up there because he is not going to waste his energy on people who don’t deserve it. He talked about not wanting to suck up to Christie just because she runs the place with her loud mouth. Nick asked what Jackson would do if he stayed. Jackson questioned why he would go back to the people on that side for a third time, only to get burned again. Jackson told Nick that he is done being fake. Nick told Jackson that what he and Sam said is not falling on deaf ears, as people realize that Christie is playing both sides. Back in the HoH room, Jess told Analyse, Christie and Tommy that she doesn’t want to have to nominate someone else. Christie said she doesn’t think that anyone other than the two nominees would use the veto this week. Christie talked about not liking Jackson as a person. She mentioned that he acts like he is everybody’s hero, he talks down to people, and he is condescending.
8:00-9:00 PM: Jack spoke to Analyse and Nick about a potential plan to have Christie use the power if he wins the veto. While he admitted that it is unlikely that Christie would do it, he said that he could nominate Cliff so that they can send him out the door. Analyse and Nick told Jack that Christie said that she is not going to use the power. Jack said that that’s because Christie is playing both sides. Meanwhile, Tommy told Holly that Jess would like to see the nominations kept the same. He said that he talked to Jack about it, and Jack gets it. The two discussed that one of them could end up on the block if the veto is used. Holly let Tommy know that she is mad at the six for not trusting her, not informing her about what was happening yesterday, and not respecting her HoH. Tommy explained it away as if everything had happened so quickly and that he did try to come to her. Upstairs, Jess told Cliff that everyone seems to be assuming that Jackson is the target. Both agreed that they are not going let anyone think otherwise. Jess wants Jack to feel as safe as possible so that nobody feels the need to use the veto. Kat told Cliff and Jess that it would be stupid of her not to evict Jack. However she is concerned that people will feel as though she was playing them if she keeps Jackson after talking about wanting to target him. Jess told her that she doesn’t owe anyone an explanation, and it is all about who she feels is the biggest target right now.
10:00-11:00 PM: Analyse and Christie discussed that Kat will vote to evict Jackson. Christie spoke to Jack to let him know that he needs to be as humble as possible around Jess. Christie told Jack that Jess has been saying that he is condescending. Jack was not happy to hear that. He thinks that they make things up in order to rationalize their moves. Jess and Kat talked about wanting to get Jack out. They stressed that nobody can find out about it. Jess told Kat that Nick is on board with keeping Jackson. Even if he flips, Kat said that the worst case scenario would end up being that Jess would have to break a tie. When plans for the replacement nominee were discussed, Kat suggested nominating Tommy.
11:00-12:00 AM: Jackson told Holly that he would be willing to say to Christie and Jack’s faces that he is coming after them if he stays. Holly suggested that he not do that. She encouraged Jackson to play without emotion. Jackson revealed that he would leave the nominations the same if he happens to win the veto. He explained that he would prefer to be on the block next to Jack when Jack leaves. Meanwhile, Christie and Tommy talked things over. Christie said that if she catches wind of a plan to get Jack out, she may go to Jess to tell her that she has to use her power. Christie said that a Nicole could then go on the block in order to ensure that Jackson leaves.
