Big Brother 21 Day 48 - Jess decides not use the Power of Veto
August 5, 2019
10:00-11:00 AM: First thing in the morning, Jess asked Kat and Nicole if they think that they will be able to get Jack out. Kat and Nicole both said that they do think that. Nicole said that Cliff, Kat and herself are voting him out. Kat said she knows that Holly is for sure going to be voting with them as well. Kat pointed out that Jackson gets eliminated first in competitions. Jess said that Jackson has had several concussions and cannot remember a thing to save his life.
11:00-12:00 PM: Cliff checked in with Nick to see if they are still good with each other even if something crazy happens and Jackson goes. Nick reassured Cliff that the two of them and Nicole are good. Nick said that he is staying with the two of them no matter what. Elsewhere, Christie told Kat that she doesn’t want her to think that she thinks differently of her. Christie assured Kat that she feels the same way about her, and it was selfish of her to expect Kat to feel the same way as her just because of her personal standpoint in the game. Christie said that they do not have to discuss which way Kat is voting ever again. Downstairs, Analyse told Holly that she does not know what she will do or where she will go if Jack ends up leaving. Holly said that it will be the same for her if Jackson leaves. Analyse asked Holly what she would want to do if Jack stays. She specifically asked if Holly would wan to work with Christie and Tommy. Holly said that she loves Tommy but she does not trust Christie. Analyse let Holly know that they all feel the same way about her.
12:00-1:00 PM: Feeds went down at 12:15 for the veto ceremony.
1:00-2:00 PM: Feeds returned at 1:05 following the veto ceremony. Jess decided not to use the Power of Veto. Jack and Jackson remain nominated. Nick told Jack he is pretty sure that Jess will break the tie in Jackson’s favour if it ends up being 4-4, so he is going to need to get Cliff’s vote in order to stay. Jack said that he has it but he is not going to lock it in just yet. Jack said that he will give Cliff a deal that he cannot refuse, but he is waiting to do so in order to prevent Jackson from having any time to make a better offer. Nick then spoke to Christie. He told her that it is going to be hard for Jack to stay unless Jackson does something stupid. Up in the have-not room, Tommy told Analyse and Holly that it sucks that one of their boys are going to go home, but he would like to avoid going against each other afterwards. Holly said that she has never had a reason not to trust them. Holly did admit that she does not condone some things that were said during the blowup, and she does not want to be associated with them. Tommy admitted to making a mistake by believing the intel that he heard on Thursday without confirming with the people who he trusts. Holly told Jack that she is going to be gutted no matter which way the vote goes. Downstairs, Nick told Jackson that he is definitely safe this week. Jackson then headed up to the have-not room. Tommy apologized to Jack and Jackson for the way that he handled things. Christie apologized for her part in it as well. Jack apologized to Jackson for having violated his trust. Jackson said they will watch this back and see that everything he did was for the six. Once the meeting of the six broke up, Kat let Tommy know that it is really starting to wear at her how Cliff, Jess and Nicole need to feel as though they are not as important as the rest of them when everybody decides to go off and talk on their own. She mentioned Jess saying she guesses that they really still are bottom feeders. Tommy insisted that he did not do anything to exclude anyone. He explained that he had gone up there to apologize to Holly, and it just so happened that it kept growing into something more.
2:00-3:00 PM: Tommy went to Jess to apologize for making anyone feel excluded. He said that it had turned into something that he did not intend for it to be. Jess told Tommy that he doesn’t have to apologize to her. Jess said that she understands. Meanwhile, Cliff told Kat it was funny that Tommy was being Jack’s loyal soldier by immediately coming downstairs and trying to make good with her. Later, Analyse told Nick and Tommy that she is done gaming. Analyse said that she is going to have to reevaluate who she is working with moving forward, because what she is doing is not working for her. Analyse suggested that Tommy do the same. He claimed that he feels the exact same way that she does.
3:00-4:00 PM: Jack spoke to Tommy to fill him in on his plan to offer Cliff a deal. Jack said that he is going to offer three weeks of immunity to Cliff. He clarified that Cliff will not have to promise him anything in return. Alternatively, he said that he will offer four weeks of immunity in exchange for Cliff agreeing not to put him on the block during that same period of time. Tommy said that he loves the idea. He offered to make the same deal with Cliff if it would help Jack stay, though Jack said he thinks that Cliff will take the deal with him alone. Jack acknowledged that he is likely going home at this point. He talked about Cliff and Nick having bought into the fact that they will have to do what the house wants. Later, Analyse told Jack that Christie is getting on her last nerve. Jack let Analyse know that he plans to bury Christie if he stays this week. They talked about Christie being unable to keep her mouth shut. Jack stressed that they cannot let her catch on to how they feel about her, since he needs Christie’s vote in order to stay this week. Jack blamed Christie for being the reason that he is in this position right now.
4:00-5:00 PM: Jack spoke to Jess. He said that he wanted to talk to her before his campaigning gets underway. Jack said that he now knows what it feels like to be left out and to be on the outside. He apologized for having made Jess feel that way in the past. Jack added that he pushed Nicole to not let Jess in on the vote last week, which he said was not fair to her. Jack told Jess that she made the best play for her own game, so he does not hold it against her. He stressed that she will not be his target if he stays in the house. Holly and Kat discussed the current situation in the house. Kat said that Cliff, Jess, Nicole and herself want her to work with them, plus they all like Jackson as well. Kat explained that they are thinking that Analyse will come to their side if Holly does. Holly said that Analyse is the only one on that side that she would be comfortable working with moving forward. Kat said that Tommy is dead to her. She mentioned that he continues to lie and be paranoid about what happened on Thursday. Kat called him a snake who fake cries. Kat said that Christie and Tommy have got to go. Holly agreed. As for the Six Shooters, Kat said that everyone knows about the alliance and is offended that they were used as pawns and offered to be the seventh in the six person alliance. Kat said she finds it personally offensive that they thought that they were better than her and did not have to play the game with her. Holly said that she is sick of being a bystander and a minion for Christie’s army.
5:00-6:00 PM: Kat pointed out that the six has already tried to blindside Holly once, so she should not lower herself to their level when she could work with her, Jess and Nicole instead. Holly claimed that that’s who she would like to work with. The girls discussed that they would like to keep Jackson around as long as possible since he has their backs. Cliff joined them. Holly explained that she has had to go along with things that she did not respect, since God forbid that you step out of line in the house. Cliff said he thinks that they have all been in that position at some point in the game. Holly admitted that she has been morally conflicted all summer long.
6:00-8:00 PM: Feeds were off an on for some time as Jackson’s punishment from the veto competition got underway. Over the next 24 hours, Jackson will be getting slime shot at him whenever Big Brother decides.
8:00-9:00 PM: Kat told Jess that after all of her conversations, she feels really good about her decision to vote Jack out. Jess agreed. She thinks that Jack’s side has gotten to a point where they are saying they are sorry in order to cover themselves in the event that Jack leaves. Kat brought up that Christie has a lot of people gunning for her at this point. Kat added that Christie and Tommy seem to be at the bottom at this point. She thinks that Tommy messed up by showing all of his cards and then becoming super paranoid. Jess said she thinks that Tommy has to go sooner than later. Kat wants Tommy to go before Christie. She attributed some of Christie’s paranoia to Tommy.
9:00-10:00 PM: Jess and Kat agreed that they would be fine with anyone other than Cliff, Nicole, Holly or Jackson leaving. Jess suggested that the game will be wide open if Jack is out of the house. Kat pointed out that Jack doesn’t seem to get that, since he thinks that the deals he offers are good enough to keep him around. Jess questioned how he can offer three weeks of safety when it is impossible for him to win HoH three weeks in a row. Elsewhere, Tommy told Jack that he was confident that they could get the votes last night, but now he is starting to doubt it. Jack let Tommy know that Cliff has distanced himself from him, and Kat did not even want to talk to him. Tommy told Jack that he made need to get the entire house on board with keeping him in order for this to work.
