Big Brother 21 Day 66 - Christie and Nick are nominated for eviction
August 23, 2019
9:00-10:00 AM: The houseguests were informed of the upcoming America’s Prankster twist. Big Brother gave them the details as to how the twist will work.
10:00-11:00 AM: Holly told Jess that she has one person in mind to nominate but she is worried because she may have to replace that person. Jess said that Holly already knows who her target would be. Given that they were both talking about Nick, Holly said she thinks that their games are fairly aligned. Jess assured Holly that she would like to move forward with her and with Jackson. Jess told Holly that nominating Jackson would not be an option if she were to become America’s Prankster. Jess also pointed out that putting her on the block would result in a vote potentially being taken away from Jackson in the event that he goes on the block. The girls discussed that they would be on the block together if Nick had won HoH. Holly admitted that it scares her to take a shot at him given that she missed the last time that she tried. They talked about how it would be wise for America’s Prankster to nominate someone who would be a vote to save Nick if they want him to go. Holly said she worries that her target is also the prankster. Holly thinks that Nick would nominate Jackson if that were the case. Either way, Holly said she thinks she knows the nomination that she has to make, and she will have to just hope for the best. Next up, Holly spoke to Christie. She claimed that after talking to her last night, she began to second guess her plan to use her as a pawn. Holly said that she is relieved that she only has to nominate one person. She told Christie that she hopes she will play in the veto anyway, because she wants her strengths to go up against Nick’s. Christie said that she would like to play. Holly explained that Christie playing in the veto competition was the biggest factor that she was considering when she talked about wanting to nominate her. Christie asked if Holly is still thinking of nominating Nick. Holly said that she is leaning in the same direction as she was last night.
11:00-12:00 PM: Cliff spoke to Holly. He looked to see if she has a backup plan in the event that Nick comes off of the block. Holly did not want to name any names. Cliff said that he has two targets plus Christie as a pawn. Holly mentioned that her second target may even end up on the block anyway. Cliff said that Holly has Jackson, Nicole and himself voting with her, so she will have at least two votes on her side even if one of them is put on the block. He also suggested that Jess may be a vote on their side as well. Cliff told Holly that he would like to make it to the Final 4 with her, Jackson and Nicole. Holly said that she would like that as well. While alone in the bathroom, Nick spoke to the cameras. He thanked America and said that he loves them. Nick explained that he needed that power.
12:00-1:00 PM: Feeds went down at 12:37 for an HoH lockdown.
2:00-3:00 PM: Feeds returned at 2:11. The houseguests were given the smaller dinner table now that only eight of them remain in the house. Jackson told Holly he thinks that a lot of people would nominate Nick if they were to become America’s Prankster. That being said, he still suggested that Holly should nominate Nick. Holly admitted that she has been going back and forth on it but she thinks that she has to nominate him since she cannot bank on someone else doing it. Jackson later said he believes that Nick will be America’s Prankster. Holly agreed. Holly wondered who Nick would nominate. Jackson believes that it would be him. Holly told Jackson that he should nominate Christie if he becomes America’s Prankster, as that way they can guarantee that either Christie or Nick will leave this week. Holly told Jackson that Christie and Nick have had conflicting stories as to how their interaction prior to the HoH competition went. Jackson said that they should expose it in order to see what happens, as Holly said Nick claimed that Christie offered to throw HoH to him. Regardless of what happens, Jackson still thinks that the best move would be to nominate Nick. Holly brought up Cliff saying that he has two targets. She assumed that he referring to Nick and Tommy. Both Holly and Jackson said that they are not going to target Tommy.
3:00-4:00 PM: Nick told Nicole and Tommy that he talked to Holly about being willing to take anyone off of the block if he is kept safe. Nick said that he would hate for someone who Holly is close to to go home on her HoH. Tommy said he doesn’t think that Jackson will go up. Nick agreed. They discussed that people would not do that. Tommy mentioned that it could backfire since it would eventually come out. Nick said that if he were to get the power, he would not nominate Nicole or Tommy, and he also would not nominate Cliff or Jackson, leaving him to choose between Christie and Jess. Holly and Jackson decided to call Christie up to the HoH room to clear some things up. Holly told her that Nick said she approached him to say that she would throw the HoH competition to him. Christie immediately said to bring Nick upstairs because he is a liar. Christie said that she is not surprised. She went over the things that Nick had said to her, including questioning her about keeping Holly and Jackson safe. Christie said Nick called them her mortal enemies. She said he stuck his hand out and told her that he is not coming for her, but she said that she is not going to trust him. They then talked about Nick potentially being America’s Prankster. While Christie thinks that he would nominate her, Jackson believes that Nick would see it as his one shot to put him up without getting blood on his hands. They agreed to go get Nick to talk things out. Christie told him that she is really upset that he would tell Holly that she would throw HoH to him. Nick claimed that he did not use the word throw. Holly disagreed. Christie brought up Nick questioning why she would protect Holly and Jackson as they are her “mortal enemies”. Nick explained that they were at the time.
4:00-5:00 PM: Christie and Nick continued to debate the details of their conversation. They both remained relatively calm while doing so. Christie accused Nick of having told her that she would not be a nominee or a replacement nominee for him. Nick argued that he did not say the replacement nominee part. When Christie insisted that he did, Nick admitted that he may not be remembering it correctly. Christie accused Nick of saying whatever he has to say when his back is against the wall. Holly, hearing that Nick was telling Christie that he was not going after her, assumed that she would have been put up by him. Nick said that he has been vocal about wanting Jess out. He explained that he did not have many options for a pawn, so her name was in the mix. Holly said that she was originally thinking that she might not have to go after Nick if Christie is, but then she started hearing things from multiple people that she would go up next to either Jess or Jackson if Nick were to win HoH. Nick said that he already knew that she would be putting him up. He said that it is a smart move on Holly’s part since she has already put him up and therefore is getting no blood on her hands. Nick said that it will be win or go home for him. Feeds went down at 4:23 for the nomination ceremony.
5:00-6:00 PM: Feeds returned at 5:34 following the nomination ceremony. Holly nominated Nick for eviction. America’s Prankster nominated Christie for eviction. Nick told Nicole that he is happy that the prankster put Christie up since that helps him out. Nick mentioned Tommy having told him in the past that he would evict Christie over him. With Cliff and Nicole’s votes, Nick said that he would be able to stay. Up in the HoH room, Jackson told Holly that Nicole must be the prankster. Jackson said that she has a really bad poker face. Holly said that Nicole needed to make a move and be a part of something, so she is happy for her. Jackson said that he is too. Tommy joined them. He let Holly know that he would consult with her if he wins the veto. Holly said that she would like the nominations to stay the same, and she especially does not want Nick to come off of the block.
6:00-7:00 PM: Cliff asked Holly if she would guess that Nick is the prankster based on Christie going on the block. Holly said that she doesn’t know. Jackson said he has a strong feeling that it is Nicole. Cliff asked if Holly would want Nick to stay on the block, as he expects that Nick may approach him to ask him to play in the veto competition for him. When Holly confirmed that she does not want the nominations to change, Cliff said that he would tell Nick that he can pick him to play but he will not use the veto. Cliff believes that they should be good from a standpoint of having the votes. He said that he cannot see Nicole flipping. Meanwhile, Nick asked Nicole if she would be cool with him choosing her if he gets houseguest’s choice. Nicole said that she would be. She let Nick know that she would like to take him down even though a lot of people would be pissed. Nick wondered who he could beat in a vote if Christie came off of the block. Nicole mentioned Tommy’s name. Nick disagreed but Nicole explained that people may see it as an opportunity to get Tommy out since he has never been on the block. Nick asked if Nicole doesn’t think that he could get the votes over Jackson. Nicole said that she didn’t even think of that one but she thinks that he would be able to get the votes.
8:00-9:00 PM: Cliff, Holly and Jackson discussed that they would like to go to the end together along with Nicole. Holly said she prays that the nominations stay the same. Cliff said that he will not use the veto if he wins it. Cliff wondered if Nick would pick Tommy to play for him. Jackson said that Tommy is in a tough spot this week. Holly believes that both Christie and Nick would expect Tommy to use the veto on them. Jackson said that it would not surprise him if he is the backup option for the prankster. Jackson said that he would be more scared to be on the block next to Christie than Nick, because of Jess and Tommy. Both Cliff and Holly agreed.
