Big Brother 21 Day 73 - Jackson nominates Christie and Jess
August 30, 2019
10:00-11:00 AM: Jackson asked Holly if he should word things to Jess in a way that she thinks that Christie is his target. Holly suggested talking to Christie first in order to see what she thinks about that. Cliff came by to ask if everything is still the same. Jackson said that it is but he is trying to figure out how to play things with Jess. Jackson doesn’t want to tell her that she is a pawn. Jackson said that he would prefer to see Jess go but he is fine with either Christie or Jess leaving this week. Cliff advised Jackson against throwing anything out there that would make it obvious to Jess that she is his target. Jackson said that he was thinking of insinuating that Christie is his target. Holly pointed out that Jess seems so comfortable, so she is wondering if this is going to surprise her. Jackson let Cliff know that his loyalty is with their Final 4 no matter what he may hear from anyone else. Cliff said the same. He told Holly and Jackson that Tommy was telling him that he would love it if they could get to the Final 2 together, so he couldn’t say no and had to go along with it. Cliff said that he i snot questioning Jackson’s loyalty at all or else he would not have volunteered to go up as a pawn if it came down to it.
11:00-12:00 PM: Jackson told Nicole that he is worried about the potential blowback from nominating Jess since she appears to be so comfortable. Nicole said Jess loves Holly and Jackson, so she does think that Jess will be hurt by this move. Nicole talked about people expecting Cliff to go up, or maybe Christie and Tommy, so Jess is going to be shocked. Holly said it’s weird because Jess is always worried and lingers around the HoH room, yet she is at ease right now. Jackson said that he needs the nominations to stay the same because he does not want to have to break a tie in order to send Jess home. Christie was the next to speak to Holly and Jackson. She said that she is not going to sit there and question why Cliff and Nicole aren’t going up, because she offered to be a pawn and to take 5th place in order to get to stay in the game a couple of weeks ago. Jackson said that he respects her for that. Jackson stressed that they need to win the veto. Christie asked if Jackson plans to paint her as the target to Jess. Jackson said no. He told her that he will talk about them being the two strongest mental competitors in the game. Christie said she agrees that this is probably the best move but she is going to have to pray that Jess doesn’t win the veto. Christie asked who would go up in that case. Jackson revealed that Cliff would likely be the replacement nominee. Jackson did not commit one way or the other when asked who the target would be at that point. Tommy then joined them. Jackson filled him in on the plan. Tommy said that Jess is a number who could get all the way to the end and win the game if the duos target each other. Jackson let Tommy know that he would be fine with him using the veto on Christie if he wins it. He said that he would then nominate Cliff in her place. Once Jackson and Tommy were alone, Jackson told Tommy that he does not want Cliff to leave. They agreed that they need to keep the guys in the house. Tommy questioned why Cliff would even go up. Jackson explained that he is less likely to be evicted than Nicole is, and it would keep people from thinking that the guys have each other’s backs.
12:00-1:00 PM: Jackson spoke to Jess about his plan for the week. He said that he needs to consider whose strengths are where his weaknesses are, and therefore he is likely considering nominating her next to Christie. Jackson said that this past competition was likely the last physical one, and now they will be getting into the memory and mental competitions that she and Christie would terrify him in. Jess argued that they are not the biggest mental threats in the game. She told Jackson that there is no love lost between them even though she disagreed. Jess admitted that she feels a little disappointed since she did not think that Jackson would have seen her as a threat. Jess said that she always would have protected Jackson and been a number for him. Jess added that she sucks when it comes to physical competitions, and she is not even strong in mental competitions that have a physical component to them. Jackson stood his ground and said that he wants Jess on the block in order to give her a chance to play in the veto competition. He said that he respects her too much not to give her the opportunity to fight for herself. Jess said that there are people who could beat her in competitions, and she does not think that she is his biggest threat. Jess told Jackson that he would beat everyone except for one person in a Final 2 scenario, but she is not going to name names. Before things wrapped up, she also reiterated that she would always be a vote for Jackson unless she happened to be on the block next to him.
4:00-5:00 PM: Feeds went down at 4:07 for the nomination ceremony. Feeds returned at 4:48. Jackson nominated Christie and Jess for eviction. Afterwards, Cliff joked that everyone but Nicole will be playing in tomorrow’s veto competition. All but one of them will be competing, and Nicole has not had her name selected since week one.
6:00-7:00 PM: Nicole checked in with Holly. She wanted to know if Jackson has been telling people that others knew who he was going to nominate, because she did not know whether or not she should have been acting surprised. Holly wasn’t sure. Jackson came by to explain that the only thing that he said was that he ran it by Cliff, and Cliff knows that. Jackson spoke to the girls about his conversation with Jess. He said that he had to be delicate. Jackson said that she took it better than he had expected. Holly asked if Jess cried. Jackson said that she was emotional didn’t cry. Jackson mentioned Jess telling him that there are people in the house who are bigger threats to him. Jackson thought that she was alluding to Cliff, which he said led him to believe that he is making the right decision since he has to protect his Final 4 alliance. Elsewhere, Christie and Jess spoke. Christie said she doesn’t even think that Jackson cares who goes home but she expects that he would prefer to see her go. Christie said it’s annoying that Jackson is not going to want the both of them staying even if she ends up winning the veto. Christie pointed out that Jackson is playing the game and making moves, so she cannot even be mad at him. Christie believes that Holly, Jackson, Cliff and Nicole are working together and have been since Jackson’s last HoH reign. For that reason, she said that she will not even be campaigning since she is sure that they will vote however Jackson tells them to.
7:00-8:00 PM: Jess cried to Christie and Tommy. She said that she cannot be mad at anybody other than herself. She let them know that this has never been about the money for her but rather it was an opportunity to prove to herself that she can do things that she has never seen anyone who looks like her do in this game. Jess talked about having to fight since Day 1 since she hasn’t had anybody, and it took her until late in the game to be able to develop connections with people. Jess explained that it does not feel good to be left out of the groups in the house. She mentioned Cliff, Kat and Nicole all thinking that they were the seventh in the big alliance, yet she was never a consideration for that group or for others.
10:00-11:00 PM: Jess and Nicole spoke in the bathroom. Nicole said that she is ready for Jess to ask her anything. Jess asked if Nicole felt that Nick told her the truth and was being honest in stating that he has never lied. Nicole said that she started to build trust with him around the time of Jess’ HoH, and she wasn’t really sure if he was telling the truth up to that point, but what Nick said after Bella and Sam were gone seemed to be true. Nicole suggested that since Nick was already deemed to be a snake, even when he was being transparent it came off as sketchy. Jess cried. She said that the thought of being played by people that she cares about upsets her. Jess admitted that she feels as though Nicole is one of those people. Nicole said she hates that Jess feels this way and does not know how to fix it. Jess said that it is totally on her and she does not want Nicole to think that she doesn’t trust her. Nicole said it goes without saying that Jess would have been safe had she won HoH. Jess said she did not even know that Nick was America’s Prankster, and she was taken aback that Nicole did not tell her. Jess told Nicole that if she is not there, she wants Nicole to win this. Jess said that she is mad at herself for not getting closer to Nicole and asking her questions. Nicole said that if it means anything, she does not want Jess to go this week. Jess said that she does not see herself winning the $500,000 but she does not see herself leaving this week either. Nicole encouraged Jess to fight for the veto and to have a killer campaign. Jess said that what is bothering her is the thought of being played all the time.
11:00-12:00 AM: Jess told Nicole she thinks that Jackson knows that there is only one person in the house who he could not beat in a Final 2 scenario. Nicole asked who that is. Jess said that it is Tommy. She pointed out that Analyse, Christie and Jack would all vote for Tommy, and Nick was close with him as well. Nicole suggested voicing that to Jackson. Jess said that she does not want to throw anyone under the bus. Nicole argued that it’s not throwing someone under the bus since all she would be doing is stating the facts.
