Big Brother 21 Day 81 - Nicole wins the Power of Veto
September 7, 2019
1:00-2:00 PM: Tommy revealed his secret to Holly and Jackson. He told them that he knew Christie prior to entering the house. Tommy explained that Christie’s ex-girlfriend is his aunt. Feeds were down throughout the rest of the conversation. Afterwards, Holly told Jackson that she thought she had it tough when it came to Kat but now she knows what Tommy was dealing with. Holly said that it makes her question other people even more now. She wondered if Nick and Nicole know each other. Jackson said that he has wondered that a lot too. Jackson then told Holly that he knew Kat prior to entering the house. She said that she couldn’t tell if Jackson is messing with her. Jackson stuck to the story for a few minutes before admitting that it was a lie.
2:00-3:00 PM: Feeds went down for the veto competition at 2:13.
6:00-7:00 PM: Feeds returned at 6:57. Nicole won the Power of Veto. Her time in the BB Comics competition was 10:58, which was well ahead of Tommy’s second place time of 14:21.
7:00-8:00 PM: Cliff pointed out to Nicole that they are in the Final 4 because of Nicole. Cliff said that Jackson cannot compete in the next HoH competition, so it will be the two of them and Holly. Nicole let Cliff know that he is not going to be on the block on eviction night. When Cliff said that it doesn’t matter since they know who is going home, Nicole said that you do not chance it when it is your #1. Cliff mentioned that Holly has never had to go on the block up until this point. Cliff said that this is tough on Tommy since he knows what is going to happen. Jackson came by. He told Nicole that he is blown away by what she did. Cliff added that people are going to talk about Nicole in that competition for seasons to come. After Cliff and Nicole celebrated in the storage room, Nicole spoke to the cameras to confirm that she will be using the Power of Veto on Cliff. Up in the HoH room, Jackson pointed out to Holly that Cliff and Nicole could easily split them up this week. He suggested that it would be the better move to go against Tommy than to have to compete against the two of them moving forward. Holly said she wishes that she had thought about that beforehand. While she acknowledged that she would not have won the veto anyway, she said that she went into it not even wanting to win. Holly said she feels like such an idiot. She wondered if there is any argument for Nicole not to use the veto. Jackson said that he would not chance it that they are playing her if he was Nicole. Holly hoped that she has proven over the last couple of competitions that she is not a threat. Holly wondered if Tommy sharing his Christie story with Cliff and Nicole would make him more of a threat to them. She hopes that he shares it since she believes that people would vote for him based on it. Jackson added that Christie would be a guaranteed jury vote for Tommy. On top of Christie, Holly said that Tommy would have Analyse, Jacks and Nick’s votes as well.
8:00-9:00 PM: Cliff spoke to Nicole about the fact that she guaranteed them a spot in the Final 4 and guaranteed at least one of them a spot in the Final 3. Cliff said that they can beat Holly in the upcoming HoH competition. Nicole said that she is wondering if you evict Holly because she and Jackson are so close, or if you get rid of Tommy because he is so strong. Cliff said he believes that you have to evict Tommy since Holly is not good in the mental competitions. Nicole said that she needs to talk to Jackson in order to let him know that no funny business is happening even though she is going to use the veto. Cliff suggested that they could talk about having honoured their deals throughout the game if they get to the Final 2, and they can add that they could have let others take shots at each other but they gave nothing less than 100%. Nicole said that she has went through every possibility in her head, and she believes that it is best to stick with Holly and Jackson. Cliff said that he would have considered taking a shot if Jackson, not Holly, was on the block but he thinks that Tommy is much more dangerous than Holly is. Jackson joined Cliff and Nicole, at which point Nicole revealed that she plans to use the veto. Nicole assured Jackson that no funny business will be happening. Jackson told her that it’s fine and that that thought hadn’t even crossed his mind. Jackson encouraged her to do with the veto as she pleases. Holly then joined them. Nicole filled her in on the plan. Both Cliff and Nicole assured Holly that they are sticking to the Final 4 deal. Cliff said that Tommy will probably approach them to see if there are any opportunities but they will shut it down.
11:00-12:00 AM: Tommy told Nicole that he will be campaigning since he thinks that it is disrespectful to the game to give up, but he is at peace either way. Nicole asked Tommy if he knows what she is doing. Tommy said that she is probably taking Cliff off, which Nicole confirmed. They discussed that Holly will then have to go up. Nicole said she is going to try to work some magic, since she told Tommy a few days ago that she really wants him there. Tommy said that he would love that. He let Nicole know that he has a good campaign. Nicole said that she is on board that train but they will need to talk to Cliff. Tommy implied that he would still be targeting Jackson if he were to stay. Nicole said that if Jackson is so scary, why not disarm him? Tommy said that is exactly where his head is at. Nicole confirmed that they are on the same page. Tommy said that it would be beneficial for Nicole and Cliff if he were there. He said he doesn’t know what deals were made. Nicole let Tommy know that they did make a Final 4 but as much as she wants to remain loyal, it’s not smart. Tommy said he knows that he would be fighting with Cliff and Nicole, and it would be easier for them if they had him. Nicole added that it would be fairer. Nicole said she is almost positive that Holly and Jackson would have taken the shot if they had the opportunity to do so. Tommy said that Jackson is the toughest competitor remaining in the house, so he would be voting him out if he gets the opportunity. Nicole said that Cliff is talking about Tommy being the stronger competitor than Holly but Holly and Jackson will never take anyone other than themselves.
12:00-1:00 AM: Nicole told Cliff that Tommy wants to campaign and talk to the two of them. Nicole said that it’s tough because she kind of agrees with Tommy’s mentality. Nicole admitted that she fears Holly and Jackson together. Nicole said Tommy told her that his goal would be to get Jackson out if he stays, so she is trying to run through all of the scenarios. Nicole brought up that last week there were three duos but they got rid of one, and now there are two duos and a singular person, giving them the option to break up the other duo in order to leave them as the final duo. Cliff said that they will think about it. Nicole said that she was scared by a look that Jackson gave Tommy before they got the results. Nicole said she wonders if Holly and Jackson were going to take the shot first.
1:00-2:00 AM: Nicole told Cliff that next week will come down to the veto either way, but they have more of a possibility of getting to the Final 2 if Tommy is with just one of them in the Final 3 as opposed to Holly and Jackson being with one of them. Cliff said that they can talk about it but he worries a little bit that Tommy would then get to compete in HoH as opposed to Holly, as Tommy is much better. Nicole said that if Holly wins the veto, they are gone but if Tommy wins the veto, Jackson is gone. Nicole again said that the two of them broke up the first duo and have the opportunity to be the ones behind breaking up the second duo. Cliff said that they can talk about it since he has always said that he would keep game separate from personal. Nicole said that Holly and Jackson are a pair that are not going to separate. Nicole suggested that they could tell Holly and Jackson on Tuesday or Wednesday. Cliff said that it’s an option and he is not saying no since they have to do what it takes to get them to the Final 2. However he said that he wants the two of them to be in agreement. Cliff told Nicole to not think that he will not consider it. Cliff said that Tommy would have to swear to both of them that he would evict Jackson if he were to win the veto. Nicole said she doesn’t want to do it and then one of them go home next week anyway, but that could happen with Holly and Jackson as well. Cliff said that they have got to weigh out the options in terms of who is easier to beat. Nicole said that Holly might be easier for them to beat but Tommy might be more difficult for Jackson to beat. Cliff said that he has talked so long about honouring agreements but you do what you have to do when it comes down to the end. Nicole said that Holly and Jackson wouldn't have any problem getting rid of one of them.
