Big Brother 21 Day 9 - Sam wins the Power of Veto
June 27, 2019
10:00-11:00 AM: Feeds went down at 10:15 for the veto competition. Christie, Cliff, Kathryn, Jack, Nicole and Sam will be competing.
4:00-5:00 PM: Feeds returned at 4:55 following the veto competition. Sam won the Power of Veto.
5:00-6:00 PM: In the bedroom, Kathryn cried to Holly. She said she has bad feeling about this, thinking that she is about to be blindsided. Holly attempted to reassure Kathryn that she is not the target. Jackson came by to reiterate that Sam is on board with the plan to get Kemi out this week. Jackson added that it would make no sense for Sam not to use the veto. Holly pointed out that it will likely be used on Cliff, which Jackson said is fine since they have the votes either way. Elsewhere, Nick asked Sam who he is going to use the veto on. Sam mentioned that he could use the veto on Cliff, explaining that Cliff is a dad. Both Jack and Nick agreed that it would be best to use it on Cliff. The three guys then had talks about creating a five person alliance. The name “Stage 5” was thrown out there. Analyse and Christie were mentioned as the two other potential members of the alliance. Nick then headed to the bedroom to let Kathryn know that she is going to be fine this week. Throughout the next little while, Kathryn continued to doubt the plan. Holly said Kathryn is just looking for reasons to be paranoid when there is nothing there.
6:00-7:00 PM: Kathryn let Jessica know she is concerned that she may end up being blindsided this week. Kathryn pointed out that Bella and Kemi are close. Bella’s name was mentioned as someone that they would like to get out in the near future. While feeds were down, Kemi had cried. The girls discussed that it seemed to be related to a heart-to-heart discussion about home, not about the game.
7:00-8:00 PM: Jack let Tommy know that Sam plans to use the veto on Cliff. Jack then brought up that they need to create a five person alliance within their eight, so that they are ready once they get down to eight. Tommy suggested bringing Analyse and Holly in to work with Christie, Jack and himself. Jack asked if Tommy would be interested in bringing another guy in. Tommy said Jackson. Jack then asked if Tommy would be on board with bringing Christie and Holly in as opposed to Analyse and Holly. Tommy clarified that Christie was assumed to be part of the alliance since the two of them have a three person alliance with her. In the bathroom, Bella asked Analyse if she thinks that people would be mad if she voted to keep Kemi, knowing that they will have the votes to evict her anyway. Analyse suggested that they probably would be, but told Bella to talk to Christie about it. Bella pointed out that it would make her feel bad if she were to go home by a vote of 12-0.
8:00-9:00 PM: Up in the HoH room, Jackson commented on Bella and Nick getting close. He told Christie that people aren’t noticing it since they are focused on people like Kemi and Ovi. Jackson said that they have got to keep Ovi around until week three since they have to get Jessica out next. They then discussed that the two of them don’t want to become targets by being viewed as duos with Jack and Kathryn. Jackson made it clear that he and Kathryn are only friends. He admitted that he finds Analyse beautiful but thinks that she would be more into someone like Jack. Later, Jessica spoke to Nicole about a comment that Christie had previously made about not wanting to look racist by nominating Kemi. They agreed that it will not look good if Christie goes ahead with nominating Kemi. Jessica thinks that it will look racist if Kemi doesn’t create a scene or do something to make it called for. Jessica feels as though Kemi has not done anything and she is not a threat in competitions. Nicole said it hurts her heart since Kemi likes Christie and will be really hurt by the move. Nicole doesn’t want Kemi to be viewed as sketchy just because she doesn’t open up during group conversations. She hopes that Kemi wins HoH and goes after the guys if she happens to stay in the game. Ovi joined the girls. He believes that Kemi would jump ship and throw them under the bus in order to save her own game, since she has already thrown his name out there in the past. Nicole said she did not know that Kemi had done that. While Ovi doesn’t think that Kemi did it in a malicious way, he is concerned that she would do it again if she feels that she is in danger. Meanwhile, Cliff asked Sam what is best for his game. Sam said he is leaning towards using the veto on Cliff. Cliff told Nick and Sam that he would like to work with them. Nick asked what Cliff would do if he were to win HoH. Cliff mentioned Jessica’s name. He also brought up that Ovi wants to work with him but he can see that Ovi is rubbing people the wrong way, so he has been distancing himself from him.
9:00-10:00 PM: Cliff, Nick and Sam continued to talk about the plan moving forward. Cliff said he thinks that he would be able to pull Nicole in. Sam said that he talks to her as well. As for Jessica, Cliff mentioned that she seems to be pushing a girl power agenda a little bit. Nick asked Cliff if he would nominate Ovi or if he would backdoor him. Nick had previously revealed that he would nominate Kathryn and Ovi, with Ovi being his target. Cliff said he would likely nominate Ovi straight up since he doesn’t think that he will win a competition, plus it’s more likely that things will go wrong if you try to backdoor someone.
10:00-11:00 PM: Analyse, Christie, Holly and Jack spoke about the plan for the veto. Christie brought up that Sam said he would use it. Jack said they cannot keep Kemi. Christie worried that Kathryn will dig herself a grave this week, and then Kemi will stay and target her for putting her on the block. Christie admitted that Kemi has not ever really done anything to her, so she doesn’t know what to do. Holly believes that they will have the votes to evict Kemi if she ends up on the block. Christie wasn’t so sure that certain people, such as Bella and Nick, would vote with them. Analyse let them know that Bella talked about giving Kemi a vote, which concerned Christie. Christie again talked about not being sure what to do considering that Kat is emotional and may end up causing the house to flip against her.
12:00-1:00 AM: Christie told Tommy that the Kemi plan is not feeling good to her, since it makes her feel as though she is playing the game for other people. Christie acknowledged that she does not know what to do. She talked about her only reason for getting Kemi out would be that she would have one less person to compete against in the Week 3 Whacktivity Competition. Christie also does not want the whole alliance to be mad at her for not making the move, though she does not want to play Jack and Jackson’s game. Christie said she thought that she could trust Jack but she cannot since he plays everyone in the house. Christie added that if she is going to be seen as in a showmance, she would prefer to actually be in one. Christie talked about needing to distance herself from Jack and spend more time with Bella and Nicole. Tommy asked Christie what feels right in her gut. She said sticking with her original plan of targeting Kathryn, but she knows that it is because her ego doesn’t want Jack and Jackson running her game. Tommy explained that changing the plan away from targeting Kemi now would lead to the alliance not trusting Christie. Kemi then came by, ending the game talk. Afterwards, Christie told Analyse and Holly about how she is feeling. Christie said that targeting Kemi is best for the alliance but she doesn’t want to feel like she is playing Jack and Jackson’s game. Christie revealed that she does not trust Jack. All of the girls agreed to stick to the eight but target Jack first once they get to that point. Christie filled the girls in on Jack telling her that they need to talk since he has a solid five. Both Analyse and Holly figure that they will not be included in it. Christie said she already has her four. At the end of the talk, Christie said she still feels terrible about the Kemi thing “but what are you going to do?”. Analyse said it’s part of the game.
