Big Brother 22 Day 13 - Memphis decides not to use the Power of Veto
August 17, 2020
9:19 AM: Memphis told Janelle that Nicole A has got to do her part if she wants to stay. Memphis said that Janelle has been doing everything she can to get people to stay the last two weeks when they have to pull their own weight. Janelle asked Memphis if he believes in backdooring. Memphis revealed that he wanted to backdoor Ian this week. They talked about Ian and Nicole F being close. Janelle brought up that Nicole was called a snake on her season, and she is super dangerous. Memphis said that he is starting to see that.
9:47 AM: Cody asked Janelle if Memphis has a big backdoor scheme going. Janelle said no and asked if he is worried. Cody said he isn’t worried this time around but he just wondered. When Janelle asked which way Cody is leaning for the vote, he said that he likes them both.
10:43 AM: Janelle and Kaysar discussed that David is being kept to go after them, and Memphis doesn’t care. Kaysar said that he couldn’t sleep last night because he was so irritated. He told Janelle that they need to reminds themselves that not everything goes as planned in this house.
10:52 AM: Kevin told Da’Vonne that Janelle implied that Memphis wants Nicole A to stay. Da’Vonne said if David leaves, he leaves, but she cannot be one of the people that secures a nail in the coffin. Da’Vonne believes that Nicole has all of her eggs in the basket of Janelle and Kaysar based on her conversations with her. Kevin said she is telling him that she will nominate Janelle, but Da’Vonne didn’t buy it.
11:07 AM: Janelle told Kaysar that they have to win HoH this week or else they will be on the block next to each other. Kaysar believes that the only way to reset the game is to bust up the alliance from the top. He said that you have to be bold by taking out the head of the snake.
12:12 PM: Feeds went down for the veto ceremony.
12:54 PM: Feeds returned. Memphis decided not to use the Power of Veto. David and Nicole A remain nominated.
1:01 PM: David asked Enzo if he can count on his vote. Enzo said of course. He told David that he has him and Tyler since they are in an alliance.
1:02 PM: Kaysar told Memphis that the problem is that Nicole is going home. Memphis disagreed but Kaysar said 100%. Memphis said that he will talk to Enzo.
1:05 PM: David spoke to the camera. He said he thinks that he will make it this week but he hates that he is up against Nicole. David mentioned that it felt right to tell Nicole that he thinks he is going to stay but doesn’t know if it was the right thing to do.
1:26 PM: Enzo told Da’Vonne and Kevin he thinks that Memphis doesn’t care which way the vote goes. Kevin said he has a feeling that Da’Vonne is right about him wanting Nicole to stay.
1:33 PM: Da’Vonne told Kevin she thinks that Nicole’s possible saving grace could be that Memphis wants to target David. On the other hand, she said that Memphis’ HoH reign is over at this point.
1:35 PM: Da’Vonne told Nicole A that Memphis wanting her to stay could help her. Nicole worried that David has a block alliance behind him since he said that he has the votes. She argued that it would be smarter to keep her numbers wise, because she is not a comp beast, and because a female has already went home. Da’Vonne explained that she cannot vote to evict David as there has never been an African American winner, and this is the first time that three of them are in there. Nicole said she understands where Da’Vonne is coming from but she could bet that winner and she has to figure out what is best for her game and how she can get to that point. Da’Vonne said Nicole has given her something to think about.
2:08 PM: Nicole F told Nicole A she heard that she and Janelle were talking about getting rid of her. Nicole A said that it was Janelle saying that. She added that she has the receipts if Nicole F needs them. Nicole F said she was terrified that she would be going on the block today. Nicole A then made her pitch, telling Nicole F that she is not coming after her, she is not a comp beast, and they would be down another girl without her. Nicole F said that she will let her know once she talks to some others. She then asked if Janelle wants her out based on something that she did in the house. Nicole A said no.
3:00 PM: David asked Dani if she wants him to stay. Dani said she likes both of them a lot but she wants him to stay. When Dani asked David what his game plan is, he didn’t have a response. Dani told him that he had better get one.
3:08 PM: Janelle cried while talking to Kaysar about how she should have protected Nicole A. Kaysar reassured her that they did everything that they could. Janelle was upset that Nicole was second guessing their friendship. Kaysar said that they can try to save her but they have to figure out what their next move is if they can’t make it happen.
3:19 PM: Nicole A checked in with Enzo. He said that keeping her is best for his game but he wants to talk to Memphis to see who his target is. Enzo suggested that they could be moles on opposing sides of the house. Nicole said that she is being associated with Janelle and Kaysar but she is not with them even though she has to act that way for now to get their votes. Enzo said that he will let Nicole know once he hears something either way.
3:31 PM: Nicole F told Christmas about her conversation with Nicole A in which she confirmed that Janelle was after her. Nicole said she feels bad for Nicole A but will not stick her neck out to save her when it will not doing anything for her game.
3:40 PM: Janelle let David know that she would like to have both of the nominees stay. She asked what his game plan is. David said that he could be someone to come after Memphis. He assured Janelle that she would garner respect from him should he stay. When Janelle asked if she could be kept safe for a week, David said that he would agree to that. Janelle told David that she is not after him either. David explained that he would like for Janelle to stay since she provides comfort to him by keeping things neat and organized in the kitchen. He also said that she doesn’t hesitate to provide for people when they need food. Janelle explained to David that his name was thrown out week one, so it’s possible that people went to Memphis with it. She said that you have to question why people press you to do certain things, such as pushing for him to target Memphis. David said that he is listening.
4:16 PM: Bayleigh told Janelle that Dani got into Da’Vonne’s ear about her by saying little things at the beginning of the game, and she thinks that Da’Vonne saw it as her having to decide between the two. Bayleigh said she thinks that Da’Vonne made the wrong call by siding with Dani over Janelle. Janelle asked if Da’Vonne would ever drop them for Dani, to which Bayleigh replied no.
4:35 PM: When David sat down with Christmas, he said that this was the first time that he has been nominated, but even at that he is not sure if the smartest thing to do would be to come back after Memphis.
4:42 PM: Kevin and Nicole A talked about the votes. They debated whether or not it would be wise for Nicole to blow up Janelle and Kaysar’s games. Nicole worried that she would lose up to four votes by doing it, but she wasn’t sure that she could get enough votes to stay without doing something.
5:16 PM: Kaysar and Ian discussed the core alliance in the house. Ian wondered if there is a way to fragment that alliance in order to cause the members to shuffle into various alliances. Kaysar said that he was thinking the same thing. Ian made it clear that he would like to go far with Nicole F. Kaysar said he thinks that she and Dani would be willing to switch teams if required. They agreed that Cody and Tyler are the heads of the alliance. The two discussed that they would like to work together moving forward. Kaysar encouraged Ian to consider it since they could align and be a part of something. Ian admitted that he was concerned that something else had already formally came together. Kaysar said it 100% has. Kaysar said that they, along with Janelle, could do something incredible together and he hopes that Ian will consider it despite the pre-existing relationships that he has. Ian said he expected to be the smartest person in the house but knows that Kaysar is at least his equal. Kaysar said that they should join forces instead of knocking each other down. Ian asked if Kaysar could help him reach his goal of making it to the top half. Kaysar said that he and Janelle would be a big target that would keep people from looking at Ian. Ian agreed. When Kaysar asked if Ian would work together with him if he promises to get him to the second half, Ian said yes. They agreed to talk more later.
5:39 PM: Da’Vonne told Bayleigh that Nicole A is working hard and questioned if David would do for her what she is doing for him. Da’Vonne said that Nicole is right. Bayleigh said that thought had crossed her mind as well. When Bayleigh asked what Da’Vonne would like to do, she said that she does not know. They wondered if David would warn them and help prevent a potential boys alliance from coming after them. They were also unsure of whether or not Nicole would have the votes even if they were to get on board with her staying.
6:47 PM: Nicole A asked Da’Vonne if she has heard anything. Da’Vonne said she hasn’t heard anything about her staying but she has heard 1000% that there will be a Battle Back. She explained that Janelle asked if she can go home to her family if she leaves in week one, and she was told that she would be staying until September. Nicole asked if she is telling her that she is gone. Da’Vonne said it’s either that or people are lying to David like they did to Keesha.
7:20 PM: Kevin let Nicole F know that Janelle was behind the plan to go after her. He attempted to clear Nicole A’s name. Kevin then said he is a little nervous about the vote since he wants to do what the house wants but he promised his vote to Nicole. Nicole F encouraged Kevin to keep Nicole.
8:01 PM: Dani let Cody know that Da’Vonne confronted her about telling him everything. The two agreed that they can no longer tell anything to Da’Vonne. They also voiced their frustration with all of the fake alliances that are being made.
8:15 PM: Nicole F asked Da’Vonne if she still wants David to stay. Da’Vonne said yeah. She mentioned that she loves Nicole but she is attached to Janelle. Nicole said that she feels safer with David.
8:40 PM: Da’Vonne let David know that Kaysar asked her if he is in an alliance with all boys. Da’Vonne asked David if he is, adding that she doesn’t care because it will let her know that there are guys to protect her. David said yes and told Da’Vonne that he is putting safeguards in place.
8:41 PM: Nicole A told Dani that she is considering calling a house meeting. Dani said that those never go well so it is not a good idea. She also pointed out that the goal of the week is to stay, not to turn the house against Janelle.
8:45 PM: David told Bayleigh she knows that Da’Vonne is looking out for him but she might need to calm down. He didn’t want them to be associated and end up on the block together.
8:47 PM: Da’Vonne let Bayleigh know that David admitted to being in a guys alliance. She said he claims to be in it to protect them. Da’Vonne thought that she may have messed up by saying that Kaysar told her about it. Da’Vonne said that she will blow everything up if David goes to Kaysar. Bayleigh pointed out that Kaysar was right. Da’Vonne said that she will take that to the grave and never tell him that though.
8:54 PM: David told Tyler it’s getting around that there is a guy alliance because Kaysar told Da’Vonne about it. Tyler concluded that Bayleigh and Da’Vonne are with Janelle and Kaysar.
9:23 PM: Janelle and Kaysar discussed that it is a terrible game move for Da’Vonne to keep David. Janelle said she loves Da’Vonne but she bounces around like a ping pong ball. Kaysar said Janelle needs to let Memphis know that David is targeting him. Memphis could end up being the tiebreaker.
9:27 PM: Janelle told Da’Vonne that David campaigned to her by saying that he is going after Memphis, and she is guilty by association but he would give her a one week deal out of respect. Janelle and Kaysar told Da’Vonne that David is coming after them and they need to solidify something.
9:31 PM: Kaysar spoke to Christmas, Da’Vonne and Janelle about needing to lock down an alliance. Janelle brought up that she and Kaysar were asked to join the already existing alliance. Da’Vonne said she already told Kaysar what her issue wallets night, and she is battling that, but she may change her mind by Thursday.
9:38 PM: Christmas told Janelle and Kaysar that she has no problem with working with them, Bayleigh and Da'Vonne. Christmas asked if Nicole A would be involved in the alliance if she stays. Janelle said that they could scoop her up for numbers.
9:45 PM: Janelle and Kaysar asked Bayleigh if she is on board with voting David out. Bayleigh said yes as long as they 100% have seven votes. Bayleigh said David told her that Memphis said he is staying, so she didn’t want to rely on his tie breaking vote. The three discussed that Cody is an issue as he has control over numerous people throughout the house. They agreed that he has to go. Kaysar said that he was called back for a reason and he is going to be a part of the core group that runs things, starting with taking Cody out. They discussed the need to make sure that Da’Vonne is on board and will not waver once things are locked in.
10:12 PM: Bayleigh and Janelle discussed that this will be a fun move. Janelle said that she wants to blindside the other side of the house. She said that it will be good for Bayleigh especially after what Tyler did to her. Bayleigh said she thinks that she can convince Da’Vonne to get on board.
11:38 PM: Nicole A told Da’Vonne that she wants to fact check. She asked if Janelle approached her with an alliance. Da’Vonne said yes. She said that she did not say yes or no to it yet. Nicole said Janelle has told her that it is locked in that she is safe because an alliance is locked in between Janelle, Kaysar, Christmas, Bayleigh and Da’Vonne. Da’Vonne said that 4/5 are true but she asked to get a chance to sleep on it. Nicole added that she is trying to figure out if Janelle is really advocating for her. Da’Vonne confirmed that she is. Da’Vonne said that Kaysar is even following her around. Nicole apologized, saying that Da’Vonne does not need to be harassed. Nicole doesn’t think that Janelle wants her in the alliance. Nicole said she is not really receptive to the alliance. Da’Vonne said if she does it, it would be her telling them what they wanted to hear to get her the protection that she needs. Nicole said that Janelle and Kaysar screwed her, are indifferent as to whether she stays or goes, and are using her to split the house.
11:42 PM: Christmas told Nicole F and Tyler that Janelle and Kaysar are working hard to recruit Bayleigh and Da’Vonne. Tyler believes that they are working on getting Ian as well. Christmas and Tyler encouraged Nicole F to get to Ian. Nicole didn’t know what she could offer him since the best that they could do is tell him that he is the seventh in an alliance.
12:00 AM: Nicole A told Bayleigh that she is timid when it comes to the idea of an alliance because Janelle and Kaysar used her and did not care if she went home. Bayleigh said that she wants to trust them in her heart but she does not know in her head.
12:03 AM: Da’Vonne mentioned to Dani that they have not had the conversation about being number ones. Dani said that’s because Da’Vonne told her that she has Bayleigh since Day 1. Da’Vonne said that they will still talk.
12:13 AM: Bayleigh, Cody, Da’Vonne, Dani, Enzo and Tyler met up to discuss working together as a six. They called themselves the “Slick Six". They talked about keeping David and making it clear to him that they are the ones pushing for him to stay, as it will likely end up being a lopsided vote.
12:48 AM: Cody told Enzo and Tyler that he will say yes to any alliance that comes to him, just like he did with the Slick Six. Cody said that it’s the three of them.
