Big Brother 22 Day 2 - Kaysar and Janelle earn safety
August 6, 2020
8:53 AM: Kaysar and Nicole A discussed that nobody seems to be talking game yet. Nicole A said that she is in trouble if they are, since they aren’t talking it with her.
9:16 AM: Janelle told Bayleigh she is super nervous that Cody will nominate her. She is worried because she doesn’t really know Cody. Bayleigh thinks that Cody is a guys guy. She noted that Tyler and Enzo are latching on to him already.
9:39 AM: Bayleigh and Christmas discussed Tyler. Bayleigh said that she does not want him to be paranoid around her after their history during BB20. Christmas suggested that Bayleigh talk to him, which Bayleigh said that she would do.
9:39 AM: Nicole F told Dani she thinks that they need to make something with Da’Vonne and Christmas in order to protect themselves. Dani said she thinks that Janelle and Kaysar have to be the biggest targets in there but people are starstruck. Dani mentioned that Bayleigh and Da’Vonne are friends outside of the house. Nicole said that it’s obvious to her. The girls discussed that they really like Keesha.
10:02 AM: Da’Vonne checked in with Dani to see what they are doing. Dani said she thinks that you have to go after the pairs at this point. She talked about everyone fan-girling over Janelle and Kaysar. Keesha and Memphis were brought up as another potential pair. Both girls said that they like Tyler. Once Da’Vonne was alone, she said to the cameras that she is trying since she knows that this is the alliance that people want.
10:07 AM: Nicole F went up to the HoH room to confirm with Cody that they are ride or die. Cody said 100%. Nicole said that she will make a girls alliance, Cody can make a guys alliance, and then she will tell him everything. Cody brought up that they can be tight with Bayleigh and Da’Vonne. Nicole said that she would like to work with Da’Vonne. Cody said that Tyler will be good but he will throw every competition. Cody talked about potentially throwing Janelle and Kaysar up together. Nicole said that she was thinking the same thing. When Cody talked about Keesha as an option, Nicole said that you don’t want her to go home on your HoH. Cody talked about Dani being someone who is super smart, aware, and will catch on to things.
10:35 AM: Dani asked Kaysar if he is still friends with Janelle. Kaysar said that he respects her but they don’t keep in touch and he was surprised to see her there. Dani asked Kaysar if there is anyone that he doesn’t like. Kaysar said that he hasn’t gotten a read yet but he is keeping an eye on Cody and Tyler. Dani said that Tyler seems really nice. They discussed that that’s his game.
11:29 AM: Feeds went down.
11:59 AM: Feeds returned. The houseguests were given more details about the twist. A competition will take place and the winner will get to choose a plus one to be safe along with them. The houseguests choose whether or not they compete in a given week, though they seemingly only get one shot at competing.
12:01 PM: Tyler spoke to Bayleigh about the need to make people think that they are against each other. Tyler apologized to Bayleigh for how he treated her during BB20. Bayleigh said she feels as though Tyler’s apology was sincere even back to when they had texted each other. Bayleigh mentioned not wanting to look stupid, which Tyler assured her that he would not do to her.
12:12 PM: Christmas spoke to Tyler about her idea that they should stay apart. Tyler said that nobody can put them together then. They talked about a ride or die together, and it was discussed that they do not have Josh or Kaycee there as expected.
12:17 PM: Tyler spoke to David to ask if he is ready to ride this out with him. David said they should do it. They then discussed that the upcoming competition will draw lines and expose loyalties.
1:50 PM: Janelle and Bayleigh discussed the upcoming competition. Bayleigh said she doesn’t know if she will choose to compete this week. They figured that those who compete could put a target on themselves.
2:08 PM: Janelle and Memphis talked about the upcoming nominations, and agreed that nobody is really talking game. Janelle thinks that Nicole F and David are safe with Cody. She sees herself as a potential target this week.
2:15 PM: Enzo let Janelle know that he was happy to see her in the house. Janelle compared him to a Howie for her, given that Enzo makes her laugh. Both agreed that this week’s evictee is likely to be heading back to sequester.
2:52 PM: Enzo checked in with Cody to let him know that he has his back all the way until the end. Cody assured Enzo that he does not have to worry about him. The guys talked about needing strong competitors on their side in order to stay safe. Enzo named Tyler as someone who he is feeling good about so far.
3:01 PM: Janelle and Keesha worried that they, as houseguests from older seasons, could be easy targets this week. Keesha figures that Kaysar is a potential nominee as well. The girls debated whether or not to compete this week. They agreed that they did not want to sit around and do nothing, but they also worried about the consequences of choosing to compete.
3:14 PM: Feeds went down.
6:54 PM: Feeds returned. Kaysar won the Safety Suite competition. He chose to keep Janelle safe for the week as well. Janelle and Kaysar were the only two to compete.
7:27 PM: Nicole F spoke to Cody. She said she is so mad that Janelle and Kaysar knew that they had to go for the safety. Cody said that he doesn’t even mind. He talked about nominating Keesha as an easy nominee since he has not spoken to her. As for the second nominee, Kevin’s name was thrown out there. Cody said that Janelle playing for safety after the conversation that they had shows him that she is not someone that he wants to keep close to him.
7:40 PM: Tyler asked Cody how he is feeling about nominations. Cody admitted that he does not want to rattle the cage this week. He said that Keesha would be an easy nominee for him. Cody said he is surprised that Kaysar would play for safety after the two of them had a really good conversation.
7:45 PM: Dani asked Nicole F about her talk with Cody. Nicole said Cody told her that she is okay but she does not know who he is going to nominate. The girls discussed that Nicole A doesn’t seem to like them. Nicole brought up being scared that Janelle could come after her next week if she were to win HoH. Dani reminded Nicole that Bayleigh and Janelle are working together, so to be careful what she says around Bayleigh.
8:09 PM: Dani let Cody know that she really likes him and she likes to play the game with real people. Cody said he loved the way that Dani played during her seasons, so he does not want to be against her in any way. When the plan for the week was discussed, Dani mentioned that getting Keesha out would free up Memphis. They talked about potentially working with Enzo and Nicole F, and then bringing Memphis and Tyler in down the line once Keesha is gone.
8:15 PM: Janelle and Kaysar spoke with Nicole A. They discussed that the two of them dodged a major bullet, given that Cody told them something different than he told Nicole. Janelle thinks that Keesha and Memphis will be targeted now since they are friends with them. Janelle and Kaysar agreed that they do not want to see those two go. Janelle brought up to Ian, Kaysar and Nicole A that Tyler went upstairs with Cody, and she thinks that David is in on it as well.
8:37 PM: Memphis told Janelle that he doesn’t feel safe. Janelle admitted that she is really nervous for him. Memphis said he thinks that Cody may be working with Nicole F, which Nicole A and Janelle agreed with.
8:57 PM: Janelle told Enzo and Kaysar that she can tell when Nicole F is lying. She pointed out that Nicole continually says that she is so worried and that she is going to go talk to Cody when she is probably the safest person there. Enzo agreed.
8:59 PM: Kaysar told Janelle that something was obviously going down but they have nothing to gain by exposing their positions until they are in power with an HoH reign. He suggested that they not tell Enzo or anyone anything, as those people can use it against them. Kaysar said that he trusts Nicole A. Janelle thinks that Ian would work with them for the time being. They also talked about wanting to work with Keesha and Memphis even though they expect them to be targeted this week. Kaysar said that they can use the veto on one of them if they happen to win it.
9:11 PM: Kevin and Da’Vonne told each other that they will have each other’s backs. Kevin said that he would like to work with both Nicoles but Nicole F seems to be distant with him. Da’Vonne thinks that Janelle and Kaysar made a ballsy move by playing for safety when they didn’t really need it, though Kevin thinks that they may have been in danger this week. They talked about a potential old school vs new school divide.
9:29 PM: Tyler told Kaysar that Cody feels good about him and was surprised that he played for safety. Kaysar said that he has been burned early in the game in the past, and he was not getting a definitive answer out of Cody but there was nothing said that made him distrust Cody. Tyler said he doesn’t know if Cody was giving anyone anything definitive.
9:45 PM: Nicole F admitted to Christmas that Janelle scares her. She thinks that Janelle would come after her and that she is not one of Janelle’s people. She added that certain people will pick on those who they don’t perceive to be strong.
10:27 PM: Da’Vonne told Kaysar she thinks that he would have been safe and that he didn’t need to compete today. Da’Vonne talked about Cody being a straight shooter. Kaysar said that it wasn’t so much about Cody but that he should probably try to smooth things over with him anyway.
11:51 PM: Janelle received her punishment costume for losing the competition early in the day.
12:56 AM: Keesha told Janelle and Kaysar that she expects to go on the block. She thinks that Memphis will be the other nominee. Kaysar told Keesha to pick he or Janelle to play in the veto competition because they will take her down.
1:05 AM: Janelle told Nicole A that Tyler said they will probably go after someone easy like Keesha. Janelle said she thinks that Nicole F, Cody, David and Tyler are working together. Janelle wondered if Bayleigh and Da’Vonne are in on it too. Nicole A didn’t think so. Janelle said it’s really weird that Nicole F is working with Cody since Dan told her that Nicole is the reason that Derrick isn’t in the house. Janelle doesn’t think that Cody knows about that.
