Big Brother 23 Day 10 - Sarah Beth wins the Wildcard Competition
July 16, 2021
10:37 AM: Feeds went down for the Wildcard Competition.
2:52 PM: Feeds returned. Sarah Beth won the Wildcard Competition. She chose to stay on her team, foregoing safety for the week.
2:56 PM: Tiffany told Sarah Beth that she can have whatever she wants from her, since she took one for the team. Claire agreed. Tiffany suggested that Sarah play it off as though she stuck with her team because she wouldn’t want to go from a team with four to a team with three. Tiffany said it’s okay if Kyland doesn’t want to put Frenchie up as long as two of the three evils (Brent/Frenchie/Whitney) are up there.
3:08 PM: Kyland met with the team of Alyssa, Christian, Sarah Beth and Xavier. He explained that two people have to go up, which sucks but he is going to collect information while he is in this position of power and has to make that decision. He said that he will ask questions but will not answer questions. No one chose to throw any names out there. There was a brief discussion about the potential of Kyland’s team working with their team. Kyland said there is not a team as physically stacked as theirs, and he would like for his team to align with a physical team.
3:14 PM: Sarah Beth told her team that Frenchie said there is an alliance that she is not in, and he named people that aren’t in it. Sarah said he told her that it’s the whole other side of the house, which would include the three of them. Sarah it was implied that it included her three teammates, Brent, Kyland and Whitney. Sarah said if they were in it, she gets it since they can’t say no to the HoH if he wants an alliance but she wants to work with them. Sarah said she doesn’t think that they can trust Frenchie. She suggested working with Kyland and his team.
3:16 PM: When Kyland spoke to Brent, Derek X, Hannah and Whitney, once again there were no names thrown out there. Brent said they are comfortable with Kyland being HoH. Whitney agreed and said they know that things will be done the right way.
3:19 PM: Sarah Beth was the first to have a one on one with Kyland. Due to having limited time before nominations, he kept the discussions to five minutes. Sarah said Frenchie essentially told her about the big alliance. She explained that he did not say the same but he pretty much said the names of those who weren’t in it. Sarah said she told her team about it and they played dumb as if they don’t know about it. Finally, Sarah said that Frenchie has been walking around saying that he is going home.
3:25 PM: Whitney told Kyland that she was in a room with Derek F, Hannah and Sarah when Frenchie came in and said he knows what is going on in this house and he is out. Whitney said he pointed at her and was referring to the Slaughterhouse. Kyland asked how Whitney feels about the rest of the alliance. Whitney said she is unsure about Derek F but she trusts everyone else.
3:30 PM: Alyssa told Kyland that she doesn’t know who the two votes were. She said Frenchie went to Christian right after the HoH ended to say that it was Derek F and someone who wanted to remain anonymous. Alyssa also brought up that Frenchie pointed at Whitney and said he is done with alliance. When Kyland asked how Alyssa feels about the rest of the alliance, Alyssa said good. When asked if Frenchie would be a benefit to have or if he is a detriment to the team, Alyssa said that he is already a problem.
3:35 PM: Kyland asked Derek X if he trusts Frenchie. Derek pointed out that they both said they would use the veto on Kyland if they were to win, yet Frenchie was trying to convince him to save Alyssa last week. Derek explained that using the veto meant that he trusts Kyland and wants to go far with him in the game.
3:38 PM: Christian told Kyland that the has no idea about the votes but he thinks that one of them may have been Derek F. He suggested that whoever cast the rogue votes might have been trying to frame Derek X and Kyland. When Kyland asked Christian how he feels about the Slaughterhouse aside from Frenchie, Christian said that he isn’t sure because he doesn’t know who those votes were. Kyland asked if it would make more sense to allow him to play in the veto competition or not. Christian said let him play, which Kyland agreed with.
3:43 PM: Hannah told Kyland she initially thought that Brent and Whitney may have been the two votes but she does not think so after Whitney swore on her children and Brent seemed confused by it all. When Kyland asked about alliances, Hannah said that her primary loyalty will be to Azah, Derek F, Kyland, Tiffany and Xavier. She said that Frenchie approached the girls to create the French Kisses alliance but they all discussed afterwards that they do not need a guy to create a girls alliance. Kyland asked if all of the girls were involved. Hannah let him know that Alyssa and Whitney were not a part of it. Hannah said Frenchie is a loose cannon and he has also been using intimidation in that he goes around saying he knows everything that’s going on because he runs the house.
3:48 PM: Kyland told Xavier that it would help him out if he knew that Xavier was the second vote. Xavier promised that it was not him. Kyland wondered if it was someone outside of their alliance and only Frenchie knows about it. Kyland said people are concerned about one person that seems to be causing problems. Xavier assured Kyland that he has his back if Frenchie tries to come at him. He said that there are five of them that come before everything. Kyland said six, referring to Hannah and the Cookout. Kyland explained that he is thinking of letting Frenchie play in the veto competition because he can keep him calm. Xavier agreed that it is best since he may react worse to being backdoored. Kyland said he thinks that he is going to nominate Frenchie next to Britini.
3:54 PM: Brent told Kyland the only thing that makes sense is that the votes were from people outside of the alliance. They discussed Frenchie saying “f*ck the Slaughterhouse” and saying that he is out. Kyland asked if it is possible for 7 of the 8 members to continue working together. Brent said that they could without question. Kyland looked to get Brent to acknowledge who the one person that would be out is. He said it’s the person who brought them all together in the first place. Kyland then asked if that person should have a chance to play for the veto. Brent said he doesn’t think that he would win anyway, and Kyland has reason to put him up. Kyland talked about his expectation that there will be a physical competition next week and how he is looking for protection. Brent assured him that he will be protected.
4:10 PM: Claire spoke to Kyland in order to fill him in on all of the happenings downstairs throughout the day. She mentioned all of the people that she saw scrambling and talking games in rooms together.
4:15 PM: Tiffany told Kyland she doesn’t know what his relationship with Frenchie is but it isn’t necessary for him to cup this week. She said he kept her safe and appears to be loyal to her. However she said that he is very powerful and could be dangerous in the long run. Tiffany spoke of a three headed monster in Brent, Frenchie and Whitney. She suggested nominating Brent and Whitney, using Frenchie as a replacement nominee if one of them comes off of the block. She said that the Kings, the Queens and Derek X give them eight numbers which is all that they would need. When Kyland asked if Tiffany could tolerate working with Brent and Whitney, Tiffany said that you are going to get your head bit off at some point if you work with the snake. Kyland pointed out that he can only get one person out this week.
4:24 PM: Feeds went down for the nomination ceremony.
6:35 PM: Feeds returned. Kyland nominated Britini and Frenchie for eviction.
6:35 PM: Britini was crying after being nominated. Frenchie assured her that he is the target. He encouraged her to keep the focus on him by laying low. Frenchie said he knew this was going to happen from the second that Kyland won HoH. Frenchie told his teammates that it’s okay since he will get to go home to his kids. Frenchie claimed that he would use the veto on Britini if he were to win it. Derek F was confused as to why two of his teammates were on the block rather than one person each from two teams. Frenchie asked his team to promise that they will stick together as he wants one of them to win. Frenchie talked about how there are going to be fireworks since he will go out with a bang and make the target on his back even bigger.
6:42 PM: Tiffany told Kyland that he made the best move. She said his nominations aligned with speech and it was very logical and made a lot of sense. Tiffany said that she is very proud of him. Tiffany brought up that she thinks the Kings, Queens and Derek X should work together. Kyland said the Kings all said it without him even having to bring it up. Tiffany briefly suggested that Hannah could be involved too but there was some concern about her allegiances to others outside of the group. Kyland let Claire and Tiffany know that everyone but Britini put Frenchie’s name out there.
7:00 PM: Frenchie let Kyland know that he is not mad at him. He said he loves him to death and he will be able to go be at home with his babies if he goes. Frenchie asked that if Britini is the target, it be switched to him. He said he plans to use the veto on her if he wins it unless Kyland has some other plan. Kyland clarified that there is no other plan as of now. Kyland explained to Frenchie that he was hearing the Slaughterhouse was being blown up. Frenchie denied that. Kyland said he plans to get the alliance together either tonight or tomorrow, at which point he will see if people are willing to squash things and move forward.
7:18 PM: Frenchie told Derek F that Kyland is claiming to want to keep the alliance together. He said the best case scenario is that America comes through with something because they know his intentions. Derek questioned why they would even bother having a meeting unless there is a backdoor plan. He added that he doesn’t think he can be a part of the alliance if Derek X is not the target. Frenchie said that none of them can be trusted.
7:33 PM: Kyland spoke to Brent’s team about the move that he made. He asked if he needs to be concerned that they would work with Britini next week if she wins HoH and wants to take a shot back at him. Brent said his loyalty is to Kyland and he would vote in his favour. Whitney added that she has his back no matter what.
7:43 PM: Kyland informed Whitney about his plan to get the alliance together. He said the game changes so much that they may decide that sticking together is their best chance. He clarified that he doesn’t expect that to happen but you have to expect the unexpected. Whitney said she understands but the only person in the alliance that she does not trust is Frenchie.
7:56 PM: Britini made her way up to the HoH room. Kyland reiterated that the move was not personal in nature. Kyland told Britini she was the only one who didn’t bring Frenchie’s name up in some capacity. Britini asked if she would be on the block had she brought Frenchie’s name up. Kyland admitted that she probably still would have been since everyone else came to him with another person or people that could offer him safety. He said that even if one of those groups comes through, the numbers made more sense this way. Kyland reassured Britini that he sees her staying in the game past this week.
8:26 PM: Derek F told Kyland he was thrown off by Britini going on the block. He said he has to figure out what they are going to do with Frenchie. Kyland said everyone in the house, other than Britini, came to him with concerns about Frenchie. Derek explained that Frenchie staying could benefit the Cookout since he would target people like Alyssa, Brent, Christian and Whitney for them. Kyland didn’t see the logic in keeping Frenchie around. He told Derek that the rest of the Slaughterhouse was not stoke about keeping Frenchie. Derek talked about how badly he wants Derek X to go but said that he will do whatever Kyland wants.
8:45 PM: Kyland sat down with Azah to explain his move to her. She eventually asked if she would be going up if someone uses the veto. Kyland said he doesn’t feel as though he is in a position where he has to nominate another of Frenchie’s teammates in order to keep people from being suspicious about the Cookout. He said he hasn’t really thought about a replacement nominee and does not want to do so until he knows that he has to.
9:33 PM: Brent and Xavier discussed that they could have made it far as an alliance if not for everyone trying to play too hard and go rogue. They discussed that Frenchie is creating a bunch of lies. The guys agreed that Frenchie will not be getting their vote.
9:46 PM: Xavier told Kyland that Frenchie will try to sell him on some stuff but he should not let him. Kyland said he wont. Kyland thinks that he has an easy week since everyone save for Britini was mentioning Frenchie’s name.
