Big Brother 23 Day 17 - Xavier nominates Brent and Britini

9:01 AM: Kyland and Tiffany made a final two deal. Both said that they would not be mad about the result either way if they got down to the final two chairs together. Tiffany said that she will always have Kyland’s back. She brought up that she showed a lot of character last week during his reign as HoH.

9:13 AM: Alyssa told Christian and Xavier that Brent said Derek X and Whitney will do a random draw to decide who competes today. Alyssa said Derek X needs to play. Xavier agreed. If Whitney plays, Alyssa is worried that she will not throw the competition. Xavier said he does not want Britini to compete and does not care who plays for the Queens.

9:18 AM: Xavier asked Derek X how easy it would be for him to convince his team to let him play in the Wildcard Competition. Derek said very. Xavier asked him to try to swing that if he can. Derek asked what if Whitney is down to throw the competition. Xavier said he is cool with that but it would have to be confirmed that she would throw it, so he prefers that Derek play.

9:20 AM: Britini told Azah and Derek F that she has a comp to win today. She said this is her chance to make sure that she is not going on the block again.

9:22 AM: Alyssa told Xavier that she does not want to act shocked about Brent going up because people will then think that she is still working with him. She said that she would rather have just one person mad at her than have the whole house questioning her.

9:25 AM: Earlier, Derek F asked Xavier if the Cookout should get together at some point to make sure that they are on the same page. Azah told Derek that she thinks they should meet without Hannah. She pointed out that Hannah doesn’t even know the name and she believes that Hannah spilled the beans about the girls alliance. Derek said he is cool with that.

9:35 AM: Derek F told Azah he thinks that some girls need to go next week or else they will have all of these girls targeting Kyland, Xavier and himself before the Cookout can even get down to six. Derek said Azah, Hannah and Tiffany would be outnumbered vote wise in a girls alliance, which will not help him, Kyland or Xavier. Azah said she thinks that Hannah is in a girls alliance if there is one.

9:35 AM: Hannah and Whitney discussed targeting Alyssa before jury. While Whitney agreed that it needs to be done, she wasn’t sure how they could do it without becoming a target for the Kings. She mentioned that it could be another scenario in which they have to throw HoH in order to let someone else take the shot. Hannah said that Claire and Tiffany see Alyssa as a target as well. Both agreed that they can’t let all three of Alyssa, Christian and Xavier make it to jury together. Hannah said that two of the three may even need to go. Whitney said Xavier is more threatening to her than Christian is, since he is so smooth and he would be able to get the votes. Whitney expressed some concern about Claire dating back to a week one incident in which Claire shared information that she gave her. Hannah said that Tiffany reminds her of family and Tiffany has Claire, so she will trust in Claire for the time being. They discussed that it would basically be their team, minus Brent, and Claire’s team working together.

9:47 AM: Looking ahead to next week, Tiffany told Claire that they will probably have to win HoH. She said that she knows what she has got to do. Tiffany talked about putting Whitney up and explaining to her that she has not talked any game with her in 20 something days. Claire agreed that going after Whitney is the best move for next week but not a lot of people will see it that way, so they have to win HoH themselves.

9:54 AM: Derek F told Britini that he is on board with getting Brent out but next week a girl has got to go in order for him to feel comfortable. Britini encouraged him to take the shot. She said his biggest shot would be nominating Alyssa next to Whitney. Derek asked what about Hannah. Britini said that he could nominate Hannah and Whitney next to each other as teammates. Britini told Derek to trust her that Claire and Tiffany are not coming after him. She said she does not care who goes out of Alyssa, Hannah and Whitney but Alyssa would be the biggest move since she is covered on all sides.

9:57 AM: Britini told Azah about her conversation with Derek F. She said that she is not going to let him throw Claire on the block. Azah said for her game it’s best to get another guy out. Azah thinks that it would be petty of her to come into the game wanting guys out only to nominate Alyssa for being well liked amongst the guys. Britini argued that Christian would come to them if Alyssa goes. Azah disagreed and said that he would be a scorned man coming after them. Azah also prefers to see Whitney go over Alyssa.

9:59 AM: Feeds went down for the Wildcard Competition.

1:41 PM: Feeds returned. Tiffany won the Wildcard Competition.

1:45 PM: Britini told her teammates, Christian and Sarah Beth that she is frustrated because she would have been able to win that competition if not for Derek X and Tiffany teaming up on her. Derek F told her not to take it personally. Britini said she has to. Britini worried that she will now find herself nominated once again.

1:45 PM: Brent let Xavier know that his team will support Xavier’s team by voting with them to get his target out this week. Brent spoke to Xavier about his concern in regards to Britini and the girls alliance, and also in regards to Azah going “from 0 to 100 in defense mode” when he used the wrong terminology when discussing a floater and a coaster. Xavier said he hopes that he and Brent can be competing together but he also doesn’t want it to be obvious if he picks him. He implied that Britini seems to be someone that the house would be interested in targeting.

1:58 PM: Xavier spoke to Derek X about nominating Brent next to Britini. He hopes that making it seem as though Britini is the target would keep Brent feeling comfortable and under control. Xavier said he plans to go with the narrative that Britini is behind this girls alliance. Derek said it makes sense since Brent is convinced that the house is against Britini. Xavier wants Brent to feel as though he convinced him to go after Britini.

2:06 PM: Hannah told Xavier that her team is on board with Brent going on the block. Xavier filled her in on the plan for the narrative in order to keep everyone on the same page. Hannah said that it was her who came up with the plan. Xavier said Brent has to feel as though he did. Hannah asked if Brent will be clued in before nominations. Xavier thinks that he already has an idea.

2:11 PM: Tiffany consoled Britini and reassured her that they all have the same target in mind, knowing that Britini was upset about what happened during the competition. Tiffany said they have to make Brent feel comfortable.

2:15 PM: Xavier spoke to Whitney about the plan. He asked if she thinks that Britini will be able to keep a secret. Whitney said yes. Whitney said Britini knows that her team threw the competition and that Brent badly wants her out, so it’s logical for her to go up.

2:21 PM: Xavier and Alyssa discussed the plan to put Britini up. Alyssa asked if Whitney will go up if Brent wins the veto. Xavier said he cannot say. Both agreed that they trust Whitney more than they trust Britini.

2:26 PM: Xavier told Christian that he is shaping the plan in a way that Brent will not be that upset, as they will go with the narrative that Britini is the target and he needs Brent to compete alongside him in the veto competition. Christian asked if they should act shocked. Xavier said yes.

2:27 PM: Tiffany told Alyssa she thinks that Whitney needs to go up because Britini’s whole team will be upset if she goes up. Alyssa encouraged her to tell Xavier that. Tiffany said it was Sarah Beth who thought of it but she thinks that she is right. Tiffany said Azah is pissed at her because she thinks that she targeted Britini during the competition.

2:32 PM: Sarah Beth let Xavier know that the Jokers are really upset because they feel as though Britini was targeted. Sarah suggested nominating one of Brent’s teammates since all of the Jokers will be upset if Britini goes up and none of them will leave. Xavier talked about the narrative for the week and how whoever does this will gain the trust of the house. Xavier said that he will not put another Joker up if the veto is used. Sarah said that she will support him in nominating Britini even though it’s not the decision that she would have made.

2:42 PM: Tiffany told Xavier that Azah is pissed at her. Tiffany called her an emotional player who cannot hide anything. Xavier explained why he feels as though it is best for Britini to go up over Whitney. Tiffany said she understands.

2:54 PM: Xavier let Azah know that Brent brought up two names, both of which were from one team. Azah initially guessed Kyland and Claire. Xavier let her know that it was her and Britini. When Xavier talked about the plan, Azah asked if she is going up as a pawn. Xavier said hell no. Once Azah found out that Britini would be the pawn, she continually said to put her up instead. Xavier said the plan he presented is the one that the house is most comfortable with. Azah then pushed for Whitney to go up. When Xavier didn’t bite, Azah went back to pushing for herself to go up as she does not want Britini being a pawn again. Azah left after saying that she wont be able to change his mind.

3:12 PM: Derek F told Azah that Kyland said they need to work on their faces cause it’s noticeable when they are upset. Azah said that Tiffany has to stop being fake as f*ck then.

3:15 PM: Xavier filled Claire in on the plan, telling her that he isn’t sure if Britini is going up because people are getting emotional. They discussed that it makes it tougher to play when people are like that.

3:20 PM: Xavier spoke to Britini about the plan. He let her know that her name and Azah’s name were brought up by Brent. Xavier explained that he would like for one of them to sit next to Brent in order to make him feel comfortable. Britini said she just sat on the block and would be afraid that people would continue to use her as a pawn. She also worried what would happen if Brent were to win the veto. Xavier asked who would be a good person to go up if that happens. Britini mentioned Derek X as a big target since he has won two veto competitions. Britini asked what Azah said. Xavier said she asked to be put up over Britini. Britini asked if Xavier would be willing to use the veto on her if he wins it. Xavier said he wont make a promise but he will consider it. Britini said that she would feel much better about it if she could come down after the veto competition.

3:49 PM: Xavier spoke to Kyland about Azah saying to put her up over Britini. They discussed that the move is best for the Cookout and that Britini will have to go up at some point if they are going to stick to their alliance. Xavier said that he is not going to touch anyone in the Cookout.

3:52 PM: Azah told Britini that she is okay with going home if she goes up and the plan falls apart. She said she doesn’t know why people are scared of Brent. Britini said she is frustrated that she was brought up as a potential nominee after being on the block last week. Britini encouraged Azah to be the last to speak to Xavier in order to tell it to him straight.

4:07 PM: Xavier spoke to Derek F who said that he is still a bit worried about the girls since they are talking about taking out another guy next week. Derek said he understands why Whitney isn’t going up initially but his team will be an easy target if they are down to two members. Xavier reassured Derek that Britini is not going anywhere. They discussed that girls need to go the next two weeks. Xavier asked for Derek’s help in keeping Azah focused. Derek asked if he can still trust Tiffany. Xavier said he believes so.

4:24 PM: Xavier asked Brent how he feels about competing as a nominee. Brent said he cannot be a nominee because too many people want him out. Brent said it would blow up everything that they have built. Xavier said it’s his understanding that Britini is the target for the house. Brent said he is too much of a threat and is not pawn material. Xavier told him that he is safe if he wins the veto. Brent said that he cannot take that risk. Xavier argued that he cannot see Brent going home. Xavier asked if Brent can trust him. Brent said he does but his team will be offended and upset if he goes up. Brent added that their relationship would not be the same moving forward.

4:42 PM: Feeds went down for the nomination ceremony.

5:54 PM: Feeds returned. Xavier nominated Brent and Britini for eviction.

5:55 PM: Xavier consoled a crying Britini. Britini asked that he promise not to nominate Azah if she wins the veto. Xavier assured her that nobody else from her team will be going on the block. Britini asked if there is still the potential for her to come down if he wins the veto. Xavier said yes.

5:58 PM: Brent told Xavier that logistically his move does not make any sense. Xavier said he thinks he made it clear to the house that he is not coming after him. Brent asked if Xavier’s team knew. He said no. Brent stated that he is not pawn material. Brent said he is now going to have to do a lot of damage control as his team will not take this lightly.

6:05 PM: Brent told his teammates that he is the target. He said that he is not an idiot and Xavier’s counter arguments during their conversation before nominations did not make any sense. Whitney said she thinks that Brent would have been backdoored had he been the target. Brent said Xavier is trying to paint it that way. Brent suggested that he has the numbers since Xavier does not know about the Mafia alliance that they created with the Queens. Brent said Xavier was unable to look him in the eyes and his voice was quivering.

6:06 PM: Xavier told his team that Brent is going to proceed as though he may be the target, but he is going to try to make sure he feels reassured. Xavier said Brent is under the impression that his team will hate him after putting him up. Christian said that their team and Brent’s team will have to avoid each other this week since they should not be getting along.

6:22 PM: Brent let Tiffany know that they think he is the target but they have the numbers regardless due to the Mafia. Tiffany agreed. Brent said they will have to make sure that Claire and Kyland stick to voting for him. Brent said their loyalty was to the Queens and they will need it back.

6:28 PM: Brent asked Alyssa if she knew that this was going to happen. She said no. Brent argued that he is not the pawn. He said he told Xavier that putting him up would be declaring war. Alyssa told Brent that he has the numbers to stay. He said he isn't so sure about that. Brent said that his team is ride or die with him and what he says to them secures safety for Alyssa’s team. Brent brought up that he trusts Alyssa and that they have a final two. He said that it can still work in her favour.

6:34 PM: Derek X let Xavier know that Brent thinks he can get the numbers from the Queens but he is most concerned about Kyland potentially flipping. He suggested that Kyland and Xavier keep their distance this week so that Brent does not worry about him.

6:37 PM: Xavier told Azah that Britini has a heart of gold and he does not want anything to happen to her but he has to make it seem like he wants her out. Xavier apologized to Azah for not being able to put her up. Azah said she appreciated his honesty and is sorry. She said that she is really good now.

7:00 PM: Azah asked Tiffany why she targeted Britini during the competition. Tiffany said Azah or Derek F would have gone up had Britini won, so she wanted to make sure that that didn’t happen. Azah said she wouldn’t have cared if she went up since she would have had the votes. Tiffany said they shouldn’t care if Britini is up either then since she will have the votes. Azah felt that Derek X potentially winning and saving his team was worse. Tiffany explained that Derek was not going to win since he did not want Brent to be safe. She added that Brent is the target and she does not know what else to tell Azah. The two agreed that they would have handled the situation differently than the other.

7:10 PM: Hannah told Claire, Kyland and Tiffany that Brent is so arrogant that he knows he is the target but still feels so comfortable and safe.

7:13 PM: Brent told Britini that she should not be nervous since he isn’t. He said there is no way that she is the target over him. Britini said she doesn’t know since Xavier’s speech was pretty clear.

7:25 PM: Derek F told Xavier that Tiffany’s explanation for why she went after Britini makes no sense. Derek said he got Azah and Tiffany to talk but the conversation only lasted about two minutes. Xavier said all he knows is that he doesn’t think anyone in the Cookout has ever done anything that does not benefit the alliance. Derek said they have to pray that his team wins next week. He let Xavier know that he will take a shot at his team if he wins. He mentioned nominating either Claire and Sarah Beth or Alyssa and Whitney, with the latter being his preferred nominations. Derek also mentioned that he is worried about Alyssa and Christian being so close. Derek said he thinks everyone needs to understand that in order for the Cookout to get to the end together, they have to take shots at each other’s teams. Both Derek and Xavier agreed that Derek will have to use the veto on Britini if he happens to win it.

7:40 PM: Brent spoke to Claire, Hannah, Tiffany and Whitney. He said he needs their votes as they will have the numbers if he gets them. Brent said there is no way in hell that he is not the target. Tiffany said that since they are down a team member already, they cannot afford for Brent’s team to lose someone too.

8:22 PM: Britini got reassurance from Brent’s teammates that everyone wants Brent out of the house this week. Britini said she is pissed but she knows what the plan is and she is pretty sure that the whole house does. Derek X said that they plan to try to make Brent feel safe in order to keep him as clam as possible.

8:27 PM: Up in the HoH room, Alyssa and Christian kissed under a blanket. Alyssa said that her family is going to kill her. Not long after, Xavier walked in on the two of them. Alyssa said that she is embarrassed. Once he left the room, Alyssa said that they are f*cked.

10:19 PM: Derek F mentioned to Tiffany that everyone outside of the Cookout is going to have to go at some point. He said he told Xavier that he will be going after Claire if he wins HoH. Tiffany said she would not be mad about it since it is a game. She said she genuinely loves all of them and will keep her word to the six regardless of how they feel about her. Tiffany reiterated that she is not going to take any move personally but that’s how she chooses to play.

10:45 PM: Azah told Derek F she wouldn’t be surprised if Kyland and Tiffany are working with Derek X. She said she would like to see how Kyland acts when Derek is on the block or how Tiffany acts when Claire is on the block. Derek explained to Azah that this is their one shot at getting six people of colour to the end together. Azah argued that the team with no Cookout members should have had both nominees then. Azah questioned why Claire’s name was left out when talking about the people that Brent said. She suggested that Kyland or Tiffany must have got to Xavier.

11:02 PM: Britini informed Azah that Kyland wants to talk to her tomorrow about the fact that she looks upset. Azah said she has a right to be upset. Britini and Derek F agreed.

11:14 PM: Azah told Derek X it didn’t look like he threw the Wildcard Competition. He explained that he had every intention of throwing it when he told her that he would be, and he ultimately threw it to Tiffany, but he selfishly decided that it would be best to leave Britini as an option to be nominated in order to potentially keep his team safe. Azah felt as though they were the only ones left out of the plan. Derek said that’s not true and it was a last minute decision. She didn’t get why Tiffany wouldn’t have went after him. She said that she would have targeted Derek first in it. Derek said that there would be no reason to come after him when he had already said that he was going to throw it and would not be winning it. Azah said they look at it differently.
