Big Brother 23 Day 23 - Brent is evicted; Christian wins HoH
July 29, 2021
5:32 PM: Brent was evicted by a vote of 11-0.
5:50 PM: The HoH competition got underway. The houseguests competed in teams. Whoever placed the final piece of the puzzle for the winning team would become the new HoH. Christian won HoH.
6:10 PM: Feeds returned.
6:16 PM: Derek F told Alyssa he is worried about his team being used as pawns again. Alyssa said she doesn’t think that he has anything to worry about.
6:25 PM: Derek F told Tiffany it sucks that he has to wait another week for the Kings to lose a number. Tiffany said she knows but everyone tried to win and the Kings won it. Derek and Tiffany discussed that they won because of Sarah Beth.
6:59 PM: The Kings celebrated in the storage room. Christian pointed out that they are still a team of four while one of the teams will be down to two this week. Christian’s teammates let him know that they have his back with whatever decision he makes.
7:09 PM: Derek F told Xavier that he is worried about Christian and his girl. Xavier said that in order for him to keep the heat off of the Cookout, they need to stay calm. Xavier let Derek know that his team has not been brought up once during their discussions. Derek said he needs an individual challenge next week because he needs Xavier to lose a teammate. Derek said he is worried that Whitney will do whatever it takes and that this week is going to become nasty.
7:13 PM: Azah and Tiffany discussed that Whitney cannot win the Wildcard Competition. Tiffany mentioned that Whitney doesn’t want to go to jury. Azah said that she can go home to her kids. Tiffany stressed that they cannot lose a member of the Cookout. Azah said that Hannah might be on the block but Whitney will go home if she is up next to her. Both agreed that Whitney has no loyalty and cannot be trusted. Tiffany said the house is going to be divided if Hannah goes on the block, and they may need to show their cards sooner than they had hoped. Azah said if Christian wants Whitney to go, they can say they went along with his wishes otherwise it’s going to be a blindside.
7:35 PM: Sarah Beth asked Derek X if he wanted to win the competition. Derek hesitated then said he didn’t know and still doesn’t know. He said he did not want to win but did not want his team to know that.
7:44 PM: Xavier told Hannah that if her name does come up, she will try to steer things in a direction where she is not in trouble. Hannah asked him to keep her updated but she feels that she should be okay for now.
7:46 PM: Derek X told Hannah it looks like they were going for HoH which is not good. Hannah said the Kings know that every single team was targeting them if they won. Hannah said she is not going to let Christian know she knows that his target is Whitney. Derek said it’s not good for them that Whitney is the target but he cannot think of any way to get around it. Hannah said she thinks Xavier will try steer Christian away from the possibility of either of them going up. Derek asked if he said that or if she thinks that. Hannah said she thinks that. They discussed that it would have been a good week to get Britini out but they can’t see that happening.
8:05 PM: Azah, Britini and Derek F were selected as the have-nots for the week.
8:14 PM: Christian told Alyssa that he wants to meet with the rest of the Kings tonight. Alyssa said that he could talk to the other teams in the morning and then have one on ones following the Wildcard Competition.
8:47 PM: Sarah Beth told Kyland she was told Derek X said to Alyssa and Christian that Hannah would nominate her so she should try to win HoH. Sarah Beth said Alyssa later came to her and said Hannah approached her to say she has heard people are saying she is coming after them but it’s not true. Kyland said it doesn’t sound right and it’s weird that Derek would be the one to say it. Sarah Beth thinks Alyssa and Christian threw Derek’s name in there so it would place the blame on him rather than them. Sarah Beth said she is underestimating Alyssa if Alyssa made this all up. Sarah Beth said Christian has talked about nominating Whitney with either Azah or Hannah. Sarah Beth said she would prefer if Hannah went up.
9:13 PM: Whitney told Alyssa that she has wanted to congratulate them on winning HoH but she doesn’t want it to look weird. Whitney said she is having a hard time trusting Kyland right now because it seems as though he is acting differently. Alyssa said people are already sucking up but Christian doesn’t see it. Alyssa brought up that everyone other than Whitney was coming after the Kings had they won, so nobody has any idea what will happen.
10:23 PM: Hannah asked Christian how he is doing. He said the he is already stressed cause he doesn’t want to get blood on his hands and be a target next week. Hannah said the goal of his HoH should be to set himself up for 2-3 weeks. Hannah said they can talk tomorrow since he doesn’t want to talk game today.
11:19 PM: Christian got his HoH room.
11:27 PM: Azah asked Derek F if she wants to do a draw to determine who plays in the Wildcard Competition. Derek told Azah to go for it because he knows that she can beat Whitney. Azah mentioned that Claire is doing it too. Derek said that she can beat both of them.
11:45 PM: Christian told his team he thinks that they have to put Hannah and Whitney on the block and then see what happens. Xavier said they can determine throughout the week who the target would be. He asked if they would tell them both that they are the pawn. Sarah Beth suggested saying that there is no target. Xavier said they could see what the Queens think. Alyssa said they will push for Whitney to go but they have to figure out what’s best for the Kings. Alyssa did mention that it may make sense to keep the more obvious target in Whitney in the house so that people go after her over them next week. Xavier said Hannah mentioned one of their names while Whitney mentioned all four of them. Christian said Hannah just isn’t dumb enough to say more. Alyssa and Sarah Beth agreed. Christian said he would personally rather get rid of Whitney. Xavier agreed. Christian asked if both are leaving before jury anyway. Sarah Beth said that she would prefer that. Alyssa said that’s what she wants to have happen. Christian said it would probably look better for his resume if he were to take Hannah out. Christian said if Whitney wins the Wildcard Competition and saves her team, the Jokers will have to go up. He said it might have to be Azah and Britini.
