Big Brother 23 Day 25 - Christian wins the Power of Veto
July 31, 2021
9:15 AM: Feeds went down for the veto player pick.
9:46 AM: Feeds returned. The veto players are Christian, Hannah, Whitney, Azah, Claire and Derek X. Alyssa will be the host.
2:14 PM: Feeds went down for the veto competition.
3:47 PM: Feeds returned. Christian won the Power of Veto.
3:55 PM: Derek X told Claire that Christian is a beast. He said that he was going for the veto and could not win. Claire said her lack of cardio was embarrassing. Derek said this was his first time going head to head with Christian, and he is scary. Claire didn’t think that he would be good at puzzles but Derek said he won the puzzle on night one. Claire said it’s good for Derek that Christian won again since people will look at him as a target before they look at Derek as one.
4:02 PM: Derek X asked Hannah if she thinks it’s good or bad that Christian won. Hannah said it would have been better if either of them had won but it could have been worse had Whitney won. Hannah doesn’t expect Christian to use the veto. She said the only thing she is worried about is the vote potentially flipping. Derek said Hannah has his vote and those of the Queens locked in. He also thinks that Azah’s vote is locked in.
4:20 PM: Claire and Kyland discussed that they believe Whitney is actually Christian’s target. Kyland thinks that Britini would like to see Whitney stay since she said that Whitney is someone who is “later on her list”. He also said that Britini was not happy during the veto player selection.
4:29 PM: Alyssa told Derek X that she doesn’t think Christian will use the veto. Alyssa said she felt bad when Hannah went up but she is taking it like a champ. Derek said he doesn’t think that she holds any ill will. Alyssa admitted she gets nervous that Hannah would retaliate. Derek disagreed. He said Hannah has told him that she would never nominate Christian. Alyssa didn’t think that Hannah would put her up either since it would piss Christian off. Alyssa asked if Derek thinks that the next target should be Britini. Derek said he was going to ask if they should pick off the Jokers. Alyssa said she thinks that Is the next move but which one goes would depend on who wins HoH. Alyssa said she is least closest to Azah. Derek said he is close to Azah. Alyssa said they should end Britini’s misery and send her home if she goes up again. Derek agreed. Alyssa suggested leaving Derek F for last since he is the weakest competitor.
4:40 PM: Christian told Claire and Kyland that they are all set for this week. Kyland said it’s clear and Whitney has told people that she wants to leave before jury if she has to go. Christian figures that it will be unanimous.
4:58 PM: Britini and Claire discussed that the Kings are so strong. Claire said that they have to be broken up. Britini said that her team may go after the Aces. She also believes that the Kings may do the same. Britini asked Claire what her move would be. Claire said her best move would be to go after the Kings. Britini suggested that Alyssa is the strongest social player. Claire said she understands that the duo is a threat but she and Tiffany are viewed as a duo as are Azah and Britini. Claire also said Alyssa isn’t that smart socially if she got herself into a duo which is one of the dumbest things that you can do in this game. Britini said that’s a good point. They talked about Alyssa trying to downplay it and getting mad if people bring it up that she and Christian are a duo.
6:11 PM: Christian told Alyssa that Azah is the only person he is worried would nominate him. Alyssa said her too. Alyssa said she wants Azah to go home if she wins HoH. Alyssa thinks that the Queens and Xavier will want Britini to go, while Sarah Beth is going to want Hannah to go. Alyssa said that Derek F should be the last to go outside of the Royal Flush because he is least likely to win a competition. Christian agreed. The two said that they should talk a bit of game with Azah since Azah said that she is open to talk to Christian.
7:39 PM: Kyland said he has a really good conversation with Christian earlier today that leads him to believe that nominations would stay the same. Sarah Beth questioned why it wouldn’t stay the same. Kyland said he just wanted to make sure it would. Sarah Beth asked Kyland if he thought that Christian was going to take someone down. Kyland said he just wanted to make sure that nothing changed that would cause him to use the veto. Sarah Beth said she is confused why his brain even went there.
8:17 PM: Tiffany spoke to Azah about Sarah Beth being very dangerous and someone who may even potentially put them on the block together. Tiffany said she plays dumb and she is not falling for it. Azah said she knows that Sarah Beth has had the same targets as them, those being Brent and Whitney. She also said Sarah Beth knows that she is at the bottom of the totem pole with the Kings. Tiffany said she likes Sarah Beth as a person but does not know how long it will be before her game moves affect her. Tiffany told Azah that Sarah Beth is high on her radar for that reason. Both agreed that they like Derek X a lot and want him to stay. They were also in agreement that they could not be the ones to take a shot at Christian. Azah was more willing to take a shot at Alyssa.
8:56 PM: Alyssa told Derek X that the Queens were the smart team to realize that it makes sense to work with the Kings. Derek X asked how he even got pulled into the Royal Flush. Alyssa said it was mainly Tiffany who was vouching for him. Derek said he is starting to think about final eight and he can already feel people trying to get him and Christian against each other. He said that’s dumb. Alyssa said no one would expect them to work together. Alyssa asked if Derek would have a fourth person he would want to work with. Derek asked if she would trust Hannah. Alyssa said she would keep Hannah to be the last one outside of the Royal Flush and then go from there, but she would not go against the eight. Derek then said Tiffany’s name. Alyssa said she is down to have a conversation with Hannah without bringing up the Royal Flush. Derek said he likes Hannah because she is strong where he and Christian are week. Alyssa asked Derek if he trusts Hannah more than people in the eight. Derek admitted that he trusts her more than some people in the alliance. Alyssa suggested that the duos should go after the people who would target the duos rather than going after each other. Alyssa worried about solidifying something with Hannah only to have their alliance target her next week. She mentioned holding off on that for now.
9:17 PM: Alyssa let Christian know that Derek X said he likes the two of them and Tiffany the most out of the Royal Flush. They discussed that Kyland is closer to Sarah Beth than he is to Derek. Alyssa told Christian that Derek wants him to know that he is not coming after him and thinks that it is smarter for them to work together. Alyssa mentioned that Hannah as the ninth could be smart. Christian worried that Hannah would take Alyssa out. As for Derek, Christian didn’t want to commit to keeping him around past eight. He said that he has not been able to form a relationship with him or with Azah no matter how hard he tries.
10:53 PM: Xavier let Tiffany know that if teams are still a thing next week and his team wins, Hannah would be on the block. They agreed that Sarah Beth would put Hannah up even if teams are not a thing. Tiffany asked what Xavier is going to do about Alyssa and Christian. Xavier said they have to take a shot and get one of them out. Xavier thinks that Derek F would take the shot. Tiffany asked Xavier what he would do next week if teams are done and he wins HoH. Xavier said he doesn’t think that he would want to win it. Tiffany said that she would not be able to put Christian on the block. Tiffany told Xavier that if the Queens win, there is only one person not in the Royal Flush or the Cookout, and that is Britini but she would need to sit next to someone.
1:01 AM: Tiffany asked Claire what they would do if they win HoH next week. Tiffany said she would love to do her dirty work on the double eviction. Claire asked what that would be since she does not know what shot she would take. Tiffany said either Kyland and Sarah Beth or Britini and Sarah Beth. Claire said Britini and Sarah Beth his interesting to her. Tiffany thought that Sarah Beth would go but Claire disagreed. Tiffany listed Azah, Claire, Derek F, Derek X and Hannah as the votes to evict Sarah Beth. Tiffany said everybody knows this is Alyssa’s HoH but what they don’t know is Alyssa was going for Hannah. She questioned how it shifted to Hannah. Claire thinks that Sarah Beth influenced her. Claire added that Britini even mentioned nominating Hannah now.
1:13 AM: Sarah Beth told Claire that everyone is going to be gunning for HoH this week. She said that she wants to win to make sure that she gets to jury. Sarah Beth said she is worried that she would be a target because she is on the Kings, but she hopes that she would stay over her teammates. Claire said the Jokers and the Queens like her. Sarah Beth feels like it would be obvious to keep her over Christian and Xavier but people might want to keep Alyssa over her. Sarah Beth said she has to hope that Hannah doesn’t win because she is the only person who has said they would put her up.
1:27 AM: Hannah and Tiffany discussed that the Kings cannot win HoH. Tiffany doesn’t think that Xavier will try to win, as his team would then be safe. Tiffany asked Hannah who she would nominate. She said she does not know but a King has got to go.
1:47 AM: Xavier told Tiffany he thinks that Sarah Beth might be playing for America in some capacity since she was very adamant about Hannah leaving and very adamant about making jury. Xavier said he is trying to go to the end, not jury. Tiffany said Xavier is probably right about that. She wondered if Kyland might know. Tiffany mentioned that Kyland and Sarah Beth have been tight since Day 2. Xavier said Kyland isn’t gunning for Hannah to go though. Tiffany said she just thinks that Kyland knows a lot more about Sarah Beth than he lets on. Tiffany admitted that she has been uncomfortable about Sarah Beth for the last week and thinks that she needs to go. Tiffany explained that Sarah Beth is coming after Hannah and she cannot read her game. Tiffany said that she would nominate Sarah Beth if she wins this week. Xavier said Sarah Beth could go first but he is torn between taking her out or Christian. Tiffany thinks that the only way to send Sarah Beth out is to put her up with a member of the Cookout.
