Big Brother 23 Day 29
August 4, 2021
9:49 AM: Claire told Kyland she thinks that Alyssa and Christian would stick to the Royal Flush but she knows that Christian is a big thing standing in their way of getting further in the game. Claire said it may be a case of the obvious move being the right move. Claire said it’s tricky since Christian could be a good shield but she thinks that the shot has to be taken if the chance arises. Kyland said he looks at it by thinking about which King leaving would lead to the remaining three coming after you. He said that taking out Sarah Beth or Xavier would likely result in the other three getting tighter, whereas he does not see that happening if Alyssa and Christian are split up. Kyland said they can beat Sarah Beth but none of them can beat Christian. Claire said she doesn’t see the point of taking a shot at SB next week. Kyland agreed.
10:12 AM: Whitney told Xavier she doesn’t understand why she is on the block when she was honest about her plans and said she would only nominate one King and would talk to them beforehand about it, as opposed to everyone else who would have went after two of them. Xavier said the problem arose when they were told by multiple people that Whitney would go after him and Christian. Whitney said that’s a lie and she doesn’t know who is spreading it so she cannot even confront the person. Whitney said that she doesn’t want to campaign against Hannah. Xavier said she could fight for herself without making points against Hannah. Whitney said Hannah has such a good social game so she does not see how she would stay, but she is not going to give up either.
10:40 AM: Xavier let Christian know that Whitney plans to make arguments as to why she should stay. Christian said that he too will have to have meetings if Whitney is going to, as he needs to ensure that people don’t change their minds about sending her home. Xavier said he doesn’t think that people will change their minds but he can touch base with people to make sure. Xavier explained that Hannah wouldn’t come after them but Whitney would now have reason to come after Christian in particular if she were to stay.
1:03 PM: Alyssa told Derek F that she does not see him leaving any time soon. Derek F said he doesn’t see that. Alyssa added that he has a way better shot at making the top five than she and Christian do. When Derek expressed doubt over that, Alyssa questioned why they would target him over them. Derek said that he may be seen as a social threat. He explained that Christian can win a veto so he does not see people taking a shot at them, given that they could work with them instead. Personally, Derek said that he would like to keep them around because he needs them in the physical competitions.
1:36 PM: Whitney told Hannah there is no reason that one of them deserves to stay over the other, so she is not going to fight as hard as she would if she was up against someone like Kyland. Whitney said she will still bring up how she can benefit the games of others. Hannah told Whitney to do what she has to do, as she respects her and adores her. Hannah said that she is going to miss Whitney a lot and she is thankful that they ended up on the same team. Whitney said the same in return.
2:43 PM: Azah told Hannah that she is going to go for HoH because she does not know where people’s heads are at and it’s the only way to guarantee her safety. Hannah said her priority is to ensure that two members of the Cookout don’t end up on the block together. Hannah looked to squash the rumour that she threw Azah’s name out to a King. Azah said as long as they are good, they don’t have to discuss it any further. Azah asked Hannah how she is feeling. Hannah said that she is nervous heading into next week that she may be used as a pawn once again. She also said that she will be part of the only two person team. Hannah said that she plans to go for HoH in order to help ensure that all six members of the Cookout make it to jury.
2:45 PM: Claire asked Whitney what she would do if she stayed another week. Whitney said that she would nominate Alyssa and Christian. She pointed out that Christian has shown that he is the strongest competitor while Alyssa has a relationship with everyone in the house. Whitney advised Claire to fight as hard as she can for HoH after her safety is up, as she heard that it was between the two of them prior to Claire getting safety.
2:52 PM: Derek F told Hannah that they need to focus on the six no matter what relationships they form outside of it. Derek reassured Hannah that she would never see the block if he wins HoH, nor would anyone else in the group. Derek said that Hannah has his vote to stay 100%. Derek told Hannah to take the shot at SB if she feels that SB would nominate two of them. Hannah said she is considering SB as an option now that she has thrown her name out there. Hannah also said SB is the person most likely to figure out the Cookout alliance. Derek said Claire as well but she is safe.
2:57 PM: Whitney told Tiffany that she could never say anything negative about Hannah. She acknowledged that there is a real possibility that she is the one going home tomorrow and said a big part of her having one on ones is to let people know that she loves them and appreciates each of them. Whitney said she sees Tiffany or Xavier winning and she will be rooting for them. Tiffany asked what Whitney would do if she stayed. Whitney said that she would nominate Alyssa and Christian.
3:07 PM: Britini told Hannah that the upcoming week will be crucial since there are not any more house targets. Britini let Hannah know that she wants HoH this week and Hannah would not see the block if she happens to win it. Hannah said she has always felt great with Britini on a personal level and she is glad that they have established more trust on a game level. Hannah said Christian told her that she is a pawn so she is not expecting to be surprised tomorrow. Britini said she wouldn’t expect that either.
3:08 PM: Derek F told Whitney that he would love for her to stay and feels that he has to give her his vote. He said it would be weird if he didn’t do it since he loves her so much. Whitney said she doesn’t want him to feel like he has to do it. Derek said he doesn’t know what the house wants so he is going to do what he wants, which would be keeping her. Whitney said she thinks that she is going home but she may have a shot if she can get Azah on board with keeping her. Derek said he plans to sit down and really think about it because he does not want to end up in a spot where he is the only vote to keep Whitney.
3:25 PM: Hannah let Tiffany know that Derek X isn’t sure that he wants to take a shot at Sarah Beth. Tiffany said she understands that and knows that he has to take his shot when he gets the chance to do it. Hannah worried that Azah doesn’t think that she is fully on board with things since she denied having heard that Hannah threw her name out there. Tiffany said if Azah doesn’t want to fix things, forget about it and move on. Tiffany and told Hannah that Azah heard that from someone. Tiffany then explained that she has always viewed them as a six even though she advocate against letting Hannah know the name “Cookout” and giving her full information right off the bat. Tiffany said that Azah may not be fully on the same page. Tiffany said it’s hard for her when Azah focuses on things that are not game related and gets upset about them. Hannah said she just wants Azah to know that she is loyal to the six.
3:42 PM: Britini told Whitney that she would not nominate her next week if she happens to stay, as no one should have to be unsafe for 14 days. Whitney said she would be willing to take whatever tough shot that people don’t want to take. Whitney asked if Britini has any idea which way she would vote. Britini said she hasn’t talked to anyone about the votes and wanted to hear them both out before making a decision.
4:08 PM: Whitney told Azah she has a feeling that she is going home but she wants Azah to know that there are no hard feelings no matter which way she votes. She added that she thinks they will be friends outside of the house. Azah agreed and said she appreciates that. Whitney asked Azah what she would do if she wins HoH. Azah said she is going back and forth as to whether or not she should throw it. Whitney advised against that since she felt safe heading into this week and then finds herself on the block. Azah said she is right. Whitney let Azah know that Derek X has her back.
4:54 PM: Claire told Hannah that she is not set on anyone in particular for next week. While Claire said that a King probably has to go, she said she thinks that the Jokers need to go sooner than later too. Hannah agreed that the Jokers would be the only other option. Hannah said Tiffany is the only person that she would give HoH to but she would still fight for it while being okay if Tiffany were to get it. Claire said she would like to see a girl win so the guys don’t think that they are going to win every competition.
5:08 PM: Hannah told Xavier that everyone has promised her their vote so far. The two discussed Sarah Beth. Xavier said SB has been very persistent when it comes to Hannah. He said SB thinks that Hannah is throwing competitions and feels that she is dangerous since no one is saying her name. Hannah and Xavier agreed that those arguments could be made for multiple people in the house. Hannah said she is committed to the six and want to make the move that makes the most sense for them, which may not be SB. Xavier said he believes that Britini and SB would be the two most likely to nominate two of the Cookout members next to each other. Hannah said she thinks that getting Britini out pre-jury would be a bit of a waste. Xavier said it would be a move that he and Kyland could make since she is the only one with reason to put him up.
5:32 PM: Sarah Beth told Hannah that she is a pawn as far as she knows, and she will not be voting against her since she is going to go with what Christian wants this week. Hannah said she sees Sarah Beth as someone with a skillset similar to hers, and she could be someone for her to lean on. The girls said they look forward to getting to know each other more and like that they have got to talk more this week.
5:40 PM: Alyssa told Hannah that Sarah Beth said she has been talking with Hannah more and feels better about her. Alyssa encouraged Hannah to keep doing that since SB has said that she is now leaning more towards going after the Jokers. Hannah said she is going to gun for HoH and she would not put Alyssa or Christian on the block if she wins. Alyssa said the same in return.
5:43 PM: Sarah Beth told Whitney that she has to respect what Christian wants this week since it is his HoH. Whitney said that there will be no hard feelings either way. She added that she would like to continue a friendship outside of the house.
5:55 PM: Hannah told Christian she hopes that she has proven herself this week by being a pawn and not throwing Alyssa or Christian under the bus. Christian asked Hannah what she would do next week. Hannah said she would not put Christian up since she would not want to jeopardize the trust that they have built by retaliating the first chance that she gets. Christian said he has not had any one on ones but he believes that the vote will be unanimous in Hannah’s favour.
6:47 PM: Whitney told Alyssa she doesn’t know where this whole thing started that she was going to nominate two Kings. She said she tried to figure it out during her one on ones but nobody admitted to saying it. Alyssa said she doesn’t think that she would have went after Whitney had she won HoH. Alyssa said she knows that Whitney would vote for the better player at the end but it has stuck with people that she said she wants a girl to win. Whitney said she knows that Derek X is the biggest competitive threat to Alyssa and Christian, and she is willing to do what needs to be done to help even if it means throwing HoH so that they can target Derek. Whitney said Hannah was telling people that Alyssa is the glue that holds the Kings together and she needs to be the one to go first. Whitney said she does not think that Alyssa would be safe if Hannah is HoH. She brought up that Hannah believes she can manipulate Christian. Alyssa asked Whitney who she would be after if she wins HoH. Whitney said Derek X and Kyland.
7:14 PM: Whitney made her pitch to Christian. She stressed that she has wanted to work with Alyssa, Christian and Xavier. She mentioned thinking that she may be in this spot due to telling Derek X that she would target Kyland, as they ran off together after that and may have come up with a plan to say that she was targeting Christian and Xavier. Whitney expressed that she would be willing to throw HoH in order to get Derek X out. Christian said he sees him as a shield and as someone who he may have a shot at staying over if they are nominated together. As for wanting a woman to win the game, Whitney said she would not vote for one if they haven’t earned their place at the end and are up against someone like Christian who deserves it. Whitney promised that she would not nominate any of the Kings if she stays. She let Christian know that Britini and Derek F would like to keep her but don’t want to end up on the wrong side of the vote. Christian said that he has ran this week with the team in mind and would like to speak with them but Whitney made better arguments than Hannah did.
8:08 PM: Azah told Derek X that she is scared to go after Christian but her sister is probably yelling at her TV to go after him for her own game. Derek said he feels the same way and believes that everyone feels like that since you are screwed if you unsuccessfully take a shot at Christian. Derek encouraged Azah to do what is best for her long term game. Azah said one concern of hers is that she would be going back on her word for the first time if she went after Christian next week. Azah said that the move would have to be a really well executed backdoor if it were to happen. She worried that his teammates would retaliate and she would be gone the following week. Derek said Xavier would understand and they can beat out Alyssa and Sarah Beth in competitions.
8:28 PM: Alyssa told Christian to not talk much game with Hannah, especially when it pertains to her game. Christian said he wants her to think that she can manipulate him. Alyssa said Hannah wants Christian to feel like they are close since she believes that she can manipulate him. Christian said it wasn’t working. Alyssa suggested that it would have worked if not for her warning him that Hannah was taking advantage of him.
9:18 PM: Alyssa told Xavier that Hannah called her the glue of the team and said she should be the one to go. She also said Hannah gave Christian pointers in hope of manipulating him and making him trust her. Xavier said he doesn’t think that Hannah would take a shot at either of them or Christian if she comes after their team. Alyssa said she thinks that she would have if things didn’t play out the way that they did this week. Alyssa said Whitney told her that she would go after Derek X and Kyland if she stays.
9:21 PM: Whitney told Derek F she thinks that she may have a chance, even more so than she had originally thought. Derek said he will go with what his gut is telling him. He said he knows that Whitney staying would be better for his own game but he does not want to look bad ending up on the wrong side of the vote. Whitney hoped that the Kings were being honest with her given that Christian said she had more points than Hannah did and Alyssa was giving her pointers.
