Big Brother 23 Day 34 - Christian is the replacement nominee

10:17 AM: Derek X told Britini that he is considering having a conversation with Alyssa and Xavier prior to the veto ceremony. Britini encouraged him to do it afterwards. Derek thought that he would be able to salvage any trust that is left with them by telling them beforehand. Derek said he made a mistake by not telling Sarah Beth ahead of time and he does not want to do the same thing again. Derek told Britini that he will not change his mind no matter what they say.

11:15 AM: Feeds returned in the middle of a conversation between Alyssa and Derek X. Alyssa told him it’s his game and do what he needs to do but she would hate for him to gain the trust that he has built back only to leave next week. Derek said he thinks he has a good understanding of where the house is at right now. Alyssa said that they have the numbers to keep Sarah Beth and then they can take out another Joker. Alyssa reassured Derek that he is not at the bottom of the eight as there are others that they do not trust.

11:18 AM: Derek X told Xavier that he let Alyssa know what he had said to him last night about considering Christian as an option. Derek said he believes that Christian will take the shot at him as soon as he gets the chance to. Xavier said that to his knowledge Christian is not coming after him. Derek said he thinks that people are trying to flip the vote and Big D will not go home if he goes up.

11:21 AM: Alyssa rejoined Derek X and Xavier. She said that this does not make sense for Derek’s game because he does not even know that he has the votes. Xavier said that Christian would have less incentive to come after Derek if he didn’t put him up. Alyssa said it’s a tit for tat situation with Christian not putting Derek up last week. Derek said that at some point one of them will have to do it. Alyssa argued that the some point is not today. Derek told her that it will be 50/50 if he doesn’t make the move today. Alyssa said that he is doing everyone else’s dirty work for them.

11:23 AM: Christian told Sarah Beth he is pretty sure that he is going up next to her. He said that’s the vibe that he is getting. He asked her not to say anything.

11:24 AM: Sarah Beth joined Alyssa, Derek X and Xavier. Derek said he is considering nominating Christian instead of Big D. Derek explained that Britini winning the veto gave him the chance to take a shot that he does not think he will get in the future. Alyssa said Sarah Beth is much safer next to Big D than she is next to Christian. Alyssa stressed that sticking to the alliance is best. Derek told her that the only ones not in the alliance are the Jokers, who no one is threatened by, so they have to look at each other sooner than later.

11:28 AM: Sarah Beth told Derek X that Alyssa and Christian are coming after him, so he has to take the shot. Derek told her that Alyssa had planned to flip the vote to get her out if Big D went up on the block. Sarah Beth said she feels safer sitting next to Christian. Tiffany came by and told Derek that he can’t back out now. She said that he has the votes to make the move.

11:29 AM: Xavier told Christian that Derek X doesn’t think Sarah Beth would stay over Big D. Christian said they have the numbers. He told Xavier that he is going home if he hits the block. Xavier said that’s what they are trying to get Derek to see. Alyssa joined them. Christian asked if he is going up. Alyssa said she doesn’t know because she thinks that they are convincing him not to do it. Alyssa argued that it would be stupid since he becomes the biggest target and he will not have the votes to get Christian out.

11:31 AM: Derek X told Alyssa he really wants to believe her. He asked again if she has mentioned his name post-nominations. Alyssa said no. She said the only time she said his name was after Sarah Beth was nominated and she was like “what the f*ck?”. Alyssa said Derek has not been an option for her to nominate, backdoor or leave. Sarah Beth said she doesn’t even know if she has the votes against Big D. Alyssa told her that she does, at which point Sarah Beth said she doesn’t even know if she would have Alyssa’s vote. Alyssa claimed that she had wanted to win the veto to use it on her, so that makes no sense. Alyssa asked why she would think that. Sarah Beth said Alyssa might not see Big D as a threat. She later admitted that she has heard things. Alyssa reminded Derek that Christian could have done this to him last week but he didn’t.

11:32 AM: Christian told Xavier he thinks that he would have the votes to stay but if he goes on the block, people are going to considering taking the shot. Xavier agreed. Christian counted Alyssa, Britini, Claire, Tiffany and Xavier as possible votes for him. Xavier said that Britini would be the swing vote. He figures that Azah, Big D and Kyland would keep Sarah Beth. Christian said he is staying if Britini is the swing vote. Xavier said someone got in Derek’s ear so he thinks that if he doesn’t take the shot, Christian will take it at him. Christian thinks that last week should have proved something to him. Christian asked if he should say something to Derek. Xavier said no or else he will definitely go up.

11:40 AM: Christian told Claire that he is probably going up on the block. He said that he would need Alyssa, Britini, Claire, Tiffany and Xavier. Claire said she thinks that all the Jokers would vote together. She said Kyland will keep Sarah Beth and Hannah will do what Derek wants. Alyssa joined them and asked who opened their mouth. She said that SB doesn’t trust them and said “Alyssa, I don’t even think that I would have your vote next to Big D”. Alyssa said she asked why she would think that and SB said “I have heard things”. Christian said he should have taken Derek out last week.

11:42 AM: Derek X told Sarah Beth that Alyssa was not happy about her taking the money during the veto competition. Sarah Beth said she doesn’t know the game then because she would have lost the veto anyway. Sarah Beth said it comes down to Alyssa not wanting to work with her and looking for any reason to flip the vote against her. Sarah Beth wanted to know who told Derek that Alyssa was going to flip the vote. He didn’t want to say without asking that person if he could tell her.

11:45 AM: Christian asked Alyssa if he is going up. Alyssa said she doesn’t know. Christian asked again. Alyssa told him she really doesn’t know since Derek looked like he was about to cry. She said that he has a 50/50 shot at going up. Christian said that it’s so stupid since he could have taken Derek out last week.

11:47 AM: Feeds went down for the veto ceremony.

12:32 PM: Feeds returned. Britini used the Power of Veto on herself. Derek X nominated Christian as the replacement nominee.

12:32 PM: Alyssa told Christian and Xavier she thinks that Sarah Beth leaked that they were on the same page to get Derek X out. Alyssa figured that Claire and Tiffany wouldn’t have said anything though she did mentioned that Tiffany didn’t seem to be shocked. Christian called himself an idiot for not taking Derek out last week when he had the chance. Alyssa said it wouldn’t have made sense for his game.

12:38 PM: Derek F told Christian that he will vote to keep him there. He said he is not going to go back on his word.

12:40 PM: Christian spoke to Derek X and said he knows Sarah Beth is the one who said that they were coming after him. He said Sarah Beth did that because it was her plan. Xavier joined them and Christian said Derek knows because of Sarah Beth, which Derek said he will not confirm nor deny. Christian said that he and Derek are shields for each other and they can knock everyone out if nobody suspects that they are working together. As for Sarah Beth, he said that she is playing everyone.

12:43 PM: Sarah Beth told Alyssa she believed that she would use the veto on her but people started putting doubt in her head. Sarah Beth asked if Alyssa was mad about her taking the money. Alyssa admitted that she was shocked by it. Sarah Beth explained that she asked Britini if she was going to take the veto and she said yes, so there was no point in taking the veto. Alyssa said that makes sense but she and Derek initially looked at each other and were very confused.

12:51 PM: The Kings met to talk things over. Alyssa said she believes that Kyland knew everything and orchestrated it all since Derek wouldn’t have had the balls to do it by himself. Sarah Beth said she thinks that Derek is smart enough to come up with it but she doesn’t think he would have done it without thinking that he had the votes to send Christian home. Christian believes that the Queens will do what Derek wants, meaning that he will be going home. Alyssa said she doesn’t even want to talk game right now, and walked out of the room.

1:01 PM: Alyssa told Christian and Xavier that Sarah Beth was behind this. Xavier said if that’s the case, Christian will be taken out this week and then they are coming for them next week. Alyssa said it will be her and Xavier on the block unless they win HoH. Christian said he is going home since they don’t have the Queens. Alyssa suggested that he could get the Jokers on board since his target is now clear.

1:04 PM: Sarah Beth told Derek X that Alyssa is good. She pointed out that Alyssa is lying to her and does not have any tells. Derek agreed that she is such a good liar and said that he almost believes her. Sarah Beth said she does not trust her. She told Derek that the Kings are suspicious of Kyland and think that he may have masterminded this plan. Sarah Beth said this was Derek’s best move since Alyssa and Christian have been talking about coming after him all week.

1:13 PM: Alyssa asked Christian what he thinks about telling the Jokers and Hannah about the Royal Flush. She said they could tell Hannah that Derek has said he is picking the alliance over her. She then mentioned that Derek may have already told her about the alliance.

1:17 PM: Xavier talked to Tiffany about Kyland getting to keep Sarah Beth and also having Derek X on his side. Tiffany said she knows Derek doesn’t feel as tight with Kyland as Xavier thinks that they are. She told Xavier that even if Kyland has Derek and Sarah Beth, that’s all that he has as opposed to Xavier who has her, Azah, Claire and Hannah. Xavier said that if Christian goes this week, Kyland will have the most people in jury and he will have to go first when they get down to six. Tiffany agreed and said she has been trying to get him to see this. Tiffany also talked about potentially taking Sarah Beth out next.

1:24 PM: Christian told Claire that he either needs her and Tiffany or he needs the Jokers. Claire said she doesn’t want it to be a 5-4 vote. She explained that Derek and Kyland will be after her if she sticks her neck out. Christian said he really thinks that he will have all three Jokers due to how he ran his HoH last week. Claire said she is unsure of what she would do at this point so she does not want Christian telling people that he has her vote. Christian said he doesn’t think he has Tiffany’s vote either because her hug seemed like a goodbye to him.

1:27 PM: Alyssa told Derek F that she and Christian need to talk to him and Britini later since it makes no sense for them to vote Christian out. Alyssa said that he will be the #1 target if he doesn’t win HoH and he can be someone to take others out for them if he does win.

1:39 PM: Derek F told Azah that Alyssa is working overtime for Christian. Azah said she is going to work too early. Derek said it doesn’t even matter which way he votes since Christian is going either way. Azah said her vote, Britini’s vote, Derek’s vote and Kyland’s vote won’t be changing so they only need one more.

1:42 PM: Sarah Beth told Derek X and Kyland that Alyssa and Christian are campaigning the hell out of everybody already. She said that they are bringing people upstairs for one on ones. Derek X said he doesn’t think that anyone will flip.

1:44 PM: Alyssa asked Britini who she wants to vote for. Britini said she wants Christian to stay. Christian said he will stay if he gets the Jokers. He said he needs Britini to get in the brains of them. Britini said she obviously doesn’t want Christian to go. Britini told the two that Sarah Beth tried to get her to throw the veto, saying that Britini would go home unless a bigger target was up next to her. Alyssa and Christian interpreted that as Sarah Beth knowing that Christian was going up all along.

1:50 PM: Derek X told Xavier that he and Kyland have already talked about this and they are hoping that the three of them can work together or at least acknowledge that they need each other in the game once Christian is gone. Xavier said that they will definitely need each other as they will be the three biggest threats. Derek said that this decision would have been a lot easier for him if not for Christian being on Xavier’s team. Xavier said that he appreciates it.

2:46 PM: Feeds returned after being down for 54 minutes. Christian pitched to Tiffany that he would be her shield and would be fighting for her. Tiffany said she agrees and she is not saying that Christian cannot count on her vote. Tiffany told Christian that she needs time to process things and look at her game beyond this week and next, as she was not expecting him to be on the block. She said that she is closer with him personally but she realizes that there will come a point where she cannot beat him. Tiffany gave Christian advice in terms of not telling people all of his points at once since he needs something additional to tell them once they come back to him. She told him to look comfortable so Sarah Beth begins wondering what he knows and reveals her cards.

3:10 PM: Hannah advised Sarah Beth to keep doing what she is doing and not be pulling people aside today and tomorrow. She pointed out that Christian is doing that and starting to talk 15 minutes after the veto ceremony doesn’t give him time to come up with the best plan, so you can’t count on him to deliver on the promises that he is making.

3:17 PM: Alyssa asked Derek X why he kept questioning her about saying his name after nominations. Derek said when you are HoH a lot of people tell you things and the stories seemed to match up. Alyssa asked if he really thinks that she would come after him. Derek said he thought that Christian would, not her. Alyssa said he didn’t come after Derek last week and yet he still believed it. Derek explained that he would come after him if he were Christian. Alyssa told Derek that he will have to rewatch and see. Derek said that someone has to be lying. Alyssa told him she guesses he thought that it was her, so that’s fine.

3:54 PM: Derek F told Sarah Beth that he is not the most physical person there so it makes sense for him to vote someone out who will beat him in everything. Derek said he doesn’t think that she has to worry since everyone seems to be on the same page.

4:12 PM: Christian asked Tiffany if it benefits him to point out that Sarah Beth is lying about being in a relationship. Tiffany said there is a lot of ammo to use against her but more importantly he can use the relationship that they can see in the house. She went on to say that he can bring up how she is supposed to be in a relationship yet she is in one with Kyland. Christian said that even if she is telling the truth, she is being disloyal. Tiffany told Christian to bring up that she plays on people’s emotions as evidenced by her putting Derek X in a bad spot when he wanted to take the money from her in the veto competition. Tiffany again cautioned Christian about not doing too much too soon.

4:21 PM: Tiffany spoke to the cameras about covering her bases in case Christian ends up staying. She said she doesn’t want him to leave but she cannot beat him. In the event that he stays, she wants him to know that he can work with her. Tiffany reiterated that she is not trying to flip the vote to keep Christian even though she badly wants Sarah Beth to go.

6:48 PM: Azah told Derek X that Alyssa started putting in work right after the veto ceremony. Azah said she told Christian that she is going to think about it but she let Derek know that he already knows the deal when it comes to her vote and those of the Jokers. Azah said Alyssa is scary and she thinks that she will go on the block if Alyssa wins HoH. Derek said that while Alyssa may have been after her before, she has other targets now. Azah told Derek that Christian said he is coming after him, Hannah and Kyland.

7:05 PM: Tiffany told Claire that Kyland said the vote should be 7-2, and then she told him she hasn’t decided which way she is voting yet. Claire said Kyland questioned her about not straight up telling Christian no about having her vote. Tiffany said that just because Kyland loves Sarah Beth, it doesn’t mean that everyone wants her there. The girls both think that Xavier will vote to keep Christian whether he is leaving or not.

7:27 PM: Alyssa told Azah that she is in a tough spot since she doesn’t want to see either of the nominees leave. Alyssa brought up that there are a lot of valid reasons for the Jokers to keep Christian. Azah said she is right and Christian gave her a lot to think about.

8:27 PM: Alyssa told Britini that Azah is extremely smart and it would be dope if they could get Christian to stay and then have one of them win HoH so that they are no longer the ones being targeted. Christian said that the Jokers and Kings have never thrown shots at each other aside from Britini going up as a unanimous pawn during Xavier’s HoH week. Alyssa suggested that they will get picked off one by one if Christian leaves.

8:30 PM: Tiffany told Kyland she feels as though Xavier thinks that he should lose Derek X since he has to give up his strong player. Kyland said that Derek is more so with Hannah given that there has been multiple times that he has told her things that he didn’t tell him. Kyland added that he will have no one once Sarah Beth leaves a week after Christian. Tiffany said Xavier doesn’t seem to see it that way. Tiffany encouraged Kyland to convince Xavier that he does not have Derek X, and also top point out that Xavier has Alyssa who will stay longer than Sarah Beth. Tiffany said it will jeopardize the six if Christian stays because Christian and Xavier are going to come after Derek X. She explained that it would not be good for three of the six Cookout members.

8:47 PM: Christian campaigned to Azah and Britini, telling them that the Jokers will have a fourth member in him next week if they keep him around. Christian offered to make his HoH theirs if he happens to win it. He said that he can either take it and make their move, getting the blood on his hands, or he can give it to one of them and they can even put him up should they choose to do so. Azah asked if he has the votes. Christian said that he will stay no matter what if he has her, but it would be 5-4 and could get to 7-2 if he has a conversation with Claire and Tiffany to let them know that the Jokers are on board. Alyssa said she will not come after Azah or Britini if they keep Christian. Azah said that she will think about it.

9:06 PM: Azah told Britini it’s interesting that Christian offered to nominate anyone but Alyssa, since it shows how strong their bond is and that they don’t care about Xavier. Britini said they need to have a conversation with Xavier to let him know and to see where they stand with him. Britini said they can beat Alyssa but they can’t beat Christian, which is a problem. Britini talked about how they can beat Alyssa on Thursday when she is distraught over Christian leaving.

10:04 PM: Alyssa told Hannah that she meant what she said about trusting her and Derek, and not coming after them. Hannah said she would like to see Sarah Beth go home for her personal game since her name is in Sarah Beth’s mouth. However she said that she is closely aligned with the HoH and does not want to disrespect his wishes. Alyssa said she figured that’s how Hannah would be thinking. The two reassured each other that they would not nominate and target the other next week. While Alyssa worried that she would be next, but Hannah said she doesn’t think so since she would be less threatening without Christian there. Hannah told Alyssa that Derek would still want to work with her and he would likely be open to working with Xavier. Alyssa said she will probably talk to Derek tomorrow. She mentioned that she has other people ahead of him on her list.

11:22 PM: Derek F told Xavier that Christian thinks he has the votes to stay so Alyssa is going to be pissed when it’s a 7-2 vote. Xavier said he is starting to talk to Alyssa bout the possibility of him going home. Derek argued that it would be good for her game.

11:28 PM: Derek F told Xavier that Christian is claiming he only needs the Jokers in order to stay. Xavier said it will come down to the Jokers. Azah said Christian is offering to let them pick the music, the basket and the nominees but she does not care about that. Derek agreed.

11:31 PM: Britini asked Derek F why he is telling Christian that he doesn’t have Azah’s vote guaranteed. Britini said they need to ensure that Christian feels comfortable in order for the plan to work. Britini said they need to pull Xavier in on Wednesday to let him know that Christian said they could pick any target that isn’t Alyssa, meaning that he did not include Xavier’s name in the deal.

11:39 PM: Azah went to Xavier to let him know that Christian offered to put anyone up that they want other than Alyssa. Azah said she found that interesting since he didn’t mention Xavier. Xavier asked what Azah thinks about it. She said no and added that she is going to do what the HoH wants even though she told Christian that she will think about it. Azah asked if Xavier wants her to keep Christian. He said he wants people to do what is best for their own games, and he is not going to campaign for either nominee.

11:47 PM: Alyssa told Xavier that Christian is going to tell him he offered the Jokers a deal to run his HoH if he stays and win it. She said he told them that they can target anyone but the two of them. Christian then joined them and told Xavier the same thing, saying he would nominate anyone but Alyssa or Xavier. Christian said he is so proud of the deal that he came up with. Alyssa and Christian said that Azah’s face lit up.
