Big Brother 23 Day 50
August 25, 2021
12:05 PM: Tiffany told Claire that she can convince Derek F that if he keeps Derek X, the guys will stick together rather than work with him. She brought up that Derek X leaving will increase their chances of being able to win some competitions. Claire agreed. They both agreed that Alyssa and Xavier will vote together. Tiffany said she thinks that Claire will have both of their votes.
12:18 PM: Kyland let Sarah Beth know that Derek X is convinced Derek F would come after the two of them if he wins the secret HoH. Sarah Beth asked why he thinks that. Kyland said that’s what Derek F has been telling Derek X. Sarah Beth said Derek F told her that he would tell people he is coming after Kyland. Kyland said it worries him that he didn’t tell her he would be saying her name as well. Kyland asked if it would change her target if Derek F admits that he is coming after the two of them. Sarah Beth said no.
1:13 PM: Alyssa told Claire that Xavier will be up next week and she would have every right to put her up if she won, since she didn’t save her this week. Claire said she doesn’t necessarily want to put Alyssa up. She asked that Alyssa keep that between her and Xavier. Alyssa said Claire has never done anything to make her question her, but Derek X has done so multiple times. Alyssa let Claire know that she has her vote.
1:24 PM: When Derek F suggested that Hannah may not have played in the roulette competition this week and could have saved her money, Alyssa said Hannah played. Derek said he has an instinct that allows him to know when people BS him. Alyssa said she has the same thing and that’s not what Hannah is doing. Alyssa told Azah and Derek F that they are not going to see the block if she wins HoH. She did say her only fear in going after Kyland and Sarah Beth is that everyone wants them out and you would be doing their dirty work if you make that move.
1:39 PM: Derek X told Tiffany he is thinking that he should ask Azah for a sympathy vote rather than a real vote. He said he will feel good if he can get Azah on board. Derek told Tiffany she has to say she is voting for Claire if she talks to Kyland. He said Kyland cannot know that Tiffany knows he is throwing a sympathy vote. Tiffany asked where Kyland’s head is at. Derek said he is putting his game in Tiffany’s hands by telling her this. He explained that Kyland sees it is best to keep him but he does not want to go against Sarah Beth. Derek said the only way Kyland would be on board is if he is throwing a sympathy vote and Sarah Beth gives him permission to do so. Derek said they would then have to act because Kyland will have known it was a plan to keep him but they would have to pretend that Kyland didn’t know.
1:45 PM: Claire told Azah that she would not be looking at her any time soon. She said Azah is someone she has wanted to work with since week one. Claire said she knows how it feels to be used as a pawn and she would not play scared and use pawns if she won HoH. Azah asked who Claire would nominate. When she was hesitant to give names, Azah then revealed that she would nominate Kyland and Sarah Beth. Claire said she would do the same and Alyssa would likely be her replacement nominee if Kyland were to win the veto. Azah asked Claire if she really received $50. Claire said she did the first week but not the second week. Azah said she thinks Derek F and Derek X got $100, and asked if Claire got $100 as well. Claire confirmed that she did. Claire said it convinced her that America does not like Kyland and Sarah Beth, and also they were trying to signal to her and Derek X that they need the money. Azah said she wants Sarah Beth out and feels it is best to honour her wishes this week then gun for HoH when she cannot play. Azah said Claire gave some good points and she feels the same way she did prior to the conversation. Azah said she hopes there is a Battle Back so that Britini or Derek X can return.
2:25 PM: Hannah told Sarah Beth she has to think about whether or not she should give Derek X a sympathy vote. She said it wont change the outcome. Sarah Beth said she has no reason to believe Derek is staying so she will not think anything of it if Hannah decides to throw him a vote.
2:32 PM: Claire told Derek F she knows what it feels like to be a pawn and would not use any pawns if she wins HoH. Derek said that’s how he feels, and he would go for the big dogs. Claire said what’s good for Derek is that if people assume he has Coin of Destiny, they will do whatever he wants if they win HoH because they wont want him to change the nominations. Derek said he hopes that he wins HoH so he can have full control. He said he does believe that others have the money to play though. As for the vote, Derek said he is not telling her or Derek X what he is doing.
2:58 PM: Sarah Beth talked to Tiffany about not wanting her and Claire to go up together. Tiffany said Claire feels good with Sarah Beth even after this week. Sarah Beth said she feels relieved to hear that because she did not want Claire to go, and a big part of why she put Derek X up over Hannah is because she did not think that Claire would have had the votes against Hannah.
3:31 PM: Hannah told Claire that she wants both her and Derek X there. She said she does not want him to leave on a unanimous vote, so she likely will give him a vote. Claire said that’s understandable. Hannah said it would be a different story if she were the swing vote. She told Claire that Sarah Beth said she doesn’t care what she does since she does not think that it will make a difference in the vote. The two discussed nominating Kyland and Sarah Beth if they win HoH.
3:47 PM: Derek X asked Azah how she is feeling after their talk yesterday. Azah said she is still struggling. She mentioned not knowing whether she should do what Sarah Beth wants or take a stand and side with Derek and be afraid of the consequences. Derek said he cant say who he has but he thinks he has three other votes. Derek asked what Azah’s biggest fear is if he stays. Azah worried that she could be putting a target on herself if she does anything to stand out, whereas she currently can sit back and let others take the shots at each other. Azah said she thinks she could avoid taking a stand this week and still do so next week even if she wins and takes Sarah Beth out. On top of that, she said she is worried about jury management and she told Sarah Beth that she would honour her wishes. Azah said she hates floater games but she thinks that her path to winning involves being a floater. Derek suggested that she would be perfectly positioned for the floater game if he stays. He also questioned why Sarah Beth’s trust matters when he fell for the same thing, gave her $5,000, didn’t spin the roulette wheel, and still got backdoored by her. Azah asked if Derek actually has three votes. He said yes but those people will not tell Azah that they are voting for him. Azah assumed that they are Hannah, Kyland and Tiffany.
4:27 PM: Feeds went down.
5:13 PM: Feeds returned. The houseguests were studying after being shown images or clips while the feeds were down.
5:54 PM: Xavier entered solitary confinement in the have-not room.
7:57 PM: Sarah Beth told Derek F she feels like he is the only one who will be able to play for Coin of Destiny. Derek said she is going to get played if she can’t see through these things. He pointed out that Tiffany claimed she didn’t get a practice shot before playing Veto Derby, so he knows she didn’t play, and Hannah came back this week looking like her hair was perfectly in place as opposed to Alyssa whose hair was all over from spinning. Derek said Hannah was also asking him questions about how much money he had, and the only reason to do that is if you plan to play. Derek said people are going to blame him for whoever goes up since everyone else has been lying about their money. Sarah Beth let Derek know that she and Kyland would like to form a final three with him. Derek said he has his final two with Azah but he would love that.
8:19 PM: Derek F asked Tiffany if they are still going forward with Derek X leaving. Tiffany said she is cool with whatever the Cookout wants. Derek then started talking about targeting Sarah Beth next week. Tiffany said Derek’s best friend Kyland cannot win HoH. Derek said Kyland knows that, and he might send Kyland home if he wins it. Tiffany said the six is done if Kyland wins. Derek said he needs Tiffany’s help to pull this plan off. Tiffany asked if he wants Derek X to stay. Derek said no, and he needs help getting rid of Sarah Beth. He expressed concern that Sarah Beth thinks he is the only one with money, as she would then automatically blame him if she goes up. Derek let Tiffany know the story he came up with as to why Hannah and Tiffany could still have money.
8:34 PM: Hannah told Kyland that she couldn’t sleep last night because she felt so guilty. Kyland said he was up until 3:00 AM talking to Derek X and then they were chatting this morning as well. Hannah said she is sad. Kyland said he is too.
8:37 PM: Derek F told Hannah and Kyland about Sarah Beth thinking he is the only one with enough money to play next week. Derek explained the story that he came up with when it comes to Hannah and Tiffany potentially having money as well.
8:39 PM: Derek X asked Kyland what he is thinking. Kyland said he is close to locking in his vote. Derek said the more that he talks to people, the more he realizes that of everyone in the house it might be best for Kyland’s game if he stays. Kyland agreed. Derek said he is struggling to figure out where his fourth vote can come from. He asked if he has any shot at getting Derek F on board. Kyland said he has a small piece of information since Derek is concerned about being the only person that the house thinks has the money to play next week, so he might see a benefit in keeping Derek since he too has money.
10:19 PM: Azah spoke to the cameras. She voiced her frustration with Derek X because she noticed that everyone is studying with Froot Loops. She said she trusted Derek not to tell anyone when she showed him that she studies using Froot Loops. She said if everyone figures out that they can study by using them to remember HoHs and so on, and then she loses the advantage that she had.
10:24 PM: Kyland told Derek F that Derek X is going to say he only has one vote but he has two, him and Hannah, so doesn’t anyone to think he only has one and then accidentally vote for him and cause him to stay.
10:31 PM: Derek X pitched to Derek F who continually said that he does not know what he is going to do at this point. Derek X suggested that sitting next to him on the block is better than sitting next to Claire. He said if Derek F feels like people are after him, then keep him so they have less of a chance at winning HoH. He also said that while Derek F may believe that others in the house have money, the other people in the house don’t believe that. Derek F asked if he is the deciding vote. Derek X said he feels like he is. Derek F said he needs to take tonight to study and he should have an answer by tomorrow afternoon.
10:56 PM: Derek X pulled Alyssa aside to talk. He let her know that he kind of knows where she and Xavier stand, and he doesn’t have a pitch for her since he is not going to blow up people’s games or throw them under the bus. Derek pointed out that if Alyssa is with Kyland, Sarah Beth and Xavier, the shot to take would be at Sarah Beth since both guys would take her to the end and she can have her choice of which one she would take.
