Big Brother 23 Day 55 - Hannah uses the Power of Veto on Xavier
August 30, 2021
12:04 PM: Feeds went down for the veto ceremony.
1:24 PM: Feeds returned. Hannah used the Power of Veto on Xavier. Since he was the third nominee, no replacement nominee was needed. Kyland and Sarah Beth remain nominated.
1:25 PM: Sarah Beth told Kyland that he is going to have to fight against her this week. She said that she will probably wait until Wednesday and then do one on ones. Kyland said he will talk some long term strategy but wont do one on ones or campaign until Wednesday either.
1:28 PM: Derek told Azah he needs to make sure that Claire goes next week since she is coming after him. Azah asked who told him that Claire is coming after him. Derek said he is basing it off of Claire and Derek X trying to flip the votes against him when he was up against Britini and on the fact that Claire has not talked game with him aside from when they have held one on ones while on the block.
1:33 PM: Derek brought up to Azah and Hannah that they both said they have no problem going after Claire. Azah said she still has no problem doing it but she believes that Alyssa should be the next target. Derek said if they feel that Alyssa needs to go next, go ahead but he will not go out easy if Claire ends up winning and he is on the block. Azah said it’s her opinion that Alyssa should go and she is not trying to convince anyone else to feel the same way.
1:43 PM: Azah told Derek that Alyssa knows how to play when her back is up against the wall, whereas Claire has shown that she is not capable of winning competitions. Azah suggested that nobody would be safe if Alyssa stays, wins HoH, and potentially finds out about the Cookout. Derek understood and said Azah should feel out each member of the Cookout to see what they think about targeting her first. Derek said he would nominate Claire and Tiffany. He said it would not make sense to put up Alyssa and Xavier to say that his goal is to backdoor someone. Derek said you cannot put Alyssa and Claire up at the same time, but that’s what Azah said she would do. Azah explained that her relationship with the Cookout could use some improvement and therefore she doesn’t want to have to put one of them on the block. Derek encouraged Azah to do what is best for her game if she wins, just like he will do if he wins. Derek said she would be risking Xavier would use the veto on Alyssa if she nominates Claire and Xavier. Azah said she understands and knows that Tiffany would use it on Claire as well, but she would use Kyland as the replacement nominee if either of those things were to happen.
2:03 PM: Xavier was in the bathroom alone and venting about Alyssa pointing out to Claire that she is going to be the last white person left. Xavier questioned why Alyssa would say that. He said that while she was set to make it to seven, Alyssa is now going to have to go next. Xavier added that the only way to keep Claire off of the scent would be to send Alyssa home next, meaning that he would have to go on the block again next week.
2:09 PM: Tiffany told Derek that Claire was not coming after him, but rather she preferred Britini to stay. Azah said that’s what she was trying to tell him. Azah brought up that Alyssa knows how to get herself out of situations. Tiffany added that she is so under Xavier’s ass that Xavier can’t move like he wants to since she comes looking for him if he is gone for too long. Tiffany said Claire, on the other hand, goes hours without her and interacts with others in the house.
2:22 PM: Xavier told Hannah that he can’t win HoH now since if Claire came down, the only option left would be Alyssa and he cannot do that. Hannah said Tiffany and Xavier both cannot win this week. Xavier said he doesn’t want Kyland to win either. Hannah agreed, saying she does not want him having a third HoH before most of them have a first. Hannah said she will go for it if it’s between her, Alyssa and Kyland. Xavier asked what he should do if it’s between him and Kyland. Hannah suggested giving it to Kyland. They agreed that Azah or Derek winning would be best case scenario.
3:12 PM: Xavier asked Derek what he thinks is best for next week. Derek said if either of them win, they should go after Claire but he could see the others going after Alyssa. Xavier said whoever is in a position to go after both of those two is who they need to win. Xavier believes that if both Alyssa and Claire go up, they will catch on to the Cookout. Derek said he thinks it’s best to put them both up so you are guaranteed to get one of them out. Xavier told Derek that Kyland is telling people that he will win HoH. Derek said he will send Kyland packing if he can’t let him or Azah win this one. Xavier asked Derek if he thinks that their agreement with Kyland is the only one that Kyland has within the six. Derek said no, as he thinks that Kyland has something with Hannah and potentially with Tiffany as well. Xavier said he thinks that Kyland is trying to make sure that he gets taken by everyone.
4:04 PM: Xavier asked Kyland what he is thinking for next week. Kyland said he is happy to win since he is not good with Alyssa or Claire. He said he is not greedy in a sense that he needs HoH but Hannah is less enthusiastic about going after Claire, and Azah said she is good with both girls so she not enthusiastic about it aside from getting a win. Derek said he believes the best case scenario would be Azah or himself winning. Kyland said he is open to giving HoH to either of them if that’s what they want.
