Big Brother 23 Day 58 - Sarah Beth is evicted; Tiffany wins HoH
September 2, 2021
5:38 PM: Sarah Beth was evicted by a vote of 5-1. Tiffany voted to evict Kyland.
5:52 PM: The endurance HoH competition got underway.
5:57 PM: When the show returned from commercial break, Derek had already been eliminated from the HoH competition.
5:59 PM: Alyssa was eliminated from the HoH competition.
6:12 PM: Claire was eliminated from the HoH competition. Derek, Alyssa and Claire are the have-nots for the week.
6:13 PM: Hannah was eliminated from the HoH competition.
6:15 PM: Xavier was eliminated from the HoH competition.
6:17 PM: Azah was eliminated from the HoH competition.
6:30 PM: Kyland was eliminated from the HoH competition. Tiffany is the new HoH.
6:49 PM: Claire celebrated with Tiffany and told her that back to back HoHs has never been done before.
6:53 PM: Tiffany explained to Xavier that she would have dropped had Kyland dropped, and then Azah could have been HoH. Tiffany said that once Azah dropped, she wanted to go for it since she didn’t want Kyland to get a third HoH. Tiffany asked how Xavier feels about her winning. He said he didn’t think it was beneficial for either of them to win since he couldn’t nominate Alyssa and she couldn’t nominate Claire. Xavier mentioned that Tiffany also made a deal with Alyssa. Tiffany clarified that the deal on her end was to keep Alyssa safe last week in exchange for Alyssa keeping her safe this week, so she can put her up. Tiffany said she is willing to put Claire up if it comes down to it, as she is not going to send one the Cookout members home when there is someone else left in the house.
6:58 PM: Derek told Azah that his confidence is shattered and he feels as though being a big guy does not help at all. He mentioned that there have not been any eating competitions or strength competitions. Derek added that every time he walks out the doors and sees a competition like that, he thinks to himself that it’s another week where he doesn’t have a chance to win.
6:59 PM: Alyssa told Xavier she thinks that the two of them will end up on the block next to each other. Xavier asked about the deal that Alyssa and Tiffany made. Alyssa confirmed that Tiffany can nominate her as the deal was only to keep her off of the block last week. Alyssa said she made it clear that she was going after Kyland, so Tiffany should feel safe with her and perhaps Kyland will go up and out if one of them come down.
7:04 PM: Azah told Derek that her eyes opened up to Kyland again but this time she has learned her lesson and she is not going to get mad about it or throw a tantrum. Azah said she was praying that Tiffany would win over Kyland once it came down to the two of them.
7:48 PM: Kyland told Tiffany that she should have clued him in. He said he could have dropped five minutes earlier and kept asking her “what’s up?”. Tiffany said she told him that she wanted to win and that she could be up there all night. Kyland said he did not hear it and that’s why he kept asking. Kyland said he probably shouldn’t win next week so that the two of them can both be competing for final six HoH.
8:09 PM: Tiffany told Hannah that she would have given HoH to Azah had Kyland dropped, but she decided to go for it once Azah fell. She said she thinks that Xavier feels some type of way about it.
8:10 PM: Tiffany told Kyland that she doesn’t want to talk to people tonight and that she will do it tomorrow unless somebody comes to her to talk.
8:16 PM: Kyland told Xavier he kept asking Tiffany what’s up but apparently she thought he would drop and then she would drop to give Azah HoH. Kyland said Tiffany told him that she can do what’s necessary if needed. Kyland said he doesn’t know how much the Claire thing is playing into Tiffany wanting to win. Xavier said he dropped when he was supposed to.
8:34 PM: Tiffany pointed out to Hannah that if Claire wins the next HoH, the two of them and Azah will be safe. Tiffany said that the guys are looking out for themselves and this time they are going to have to lose someone. Tiffany added that they cant say they are carrying the girls now.
8:50 PM: Azah told Derek she wonders why Kyland didn’t drop. She said she knows they have the six but everyone is still playing their own game. Azah said Kyland knows damn well that Tiffany would have dropped had he dropped. Azah brought up that Kyland did this three weeks ago when he said he would throw HoH to her and now he did it again. Azah then admitted she knows she can’t be telling people to throw competitions to her and she has to win them for herself.
8:55 PM: Azah told Derek and Xavier that it will be a tricky week since Tiffany will have to nominate Alyssa. Xavier said he was told that he wasn’t supposed to win. He said it’s pissing him off that he is throwing competitions when people aren’t sticking to the plan. While he said that either way they are good since someone in the six won, he questioned why he should keep throwing competitions if others are looking out for themselves. Azah said she believes Tiffany that she would have dropped had Kyland done that. Xavier said he was under the impression that Azah, Derek or Kyland were supposed to win. Xavier said he was told that he couldn’t win it and now he is going to see the block for the third week in a row.
9:04 PM: Tiffany spoke to the cameras and said everyone is sad and mopey but someone had to win HoH. Tiffany said she is sure that Xavier wanted Kyland to win so that Alyssa could stay, but she wants Claire to stay. Tiffany said Claire will be around for one more week as long as Alyssa doesn’t win the veto.
9:29 PM: Xavier told Derek he knew he had to worry about Kyland but now Tiffany too. Xavier said Tiffany looked him in the eye and said he cannot win. Xavier thinks that she couldn’t win for the same reasons. Derek said the girls want Alyssa gone and they are doing whatever they want to do. Xavier said Alyssa was supposed to be the last one. Xavier said it will either be him or Kyland up next to Alyssa, and he will use the veto on Alyssa if it’s Kyland up there.
9:46 PM: Xavier told Tiffany he thought the goal of the week was to get Claire out. Tiffany said she has always been 50/50 because Alyssa is strong and Claire has not won anything, so they should be able to beat her. Xavier asked what if they don’t, and Tiffany said it would be the same thing if Alyssa were to win. Xavier suggested that he could have kept Hannah and Tiffany safe had Alyssa won, but he doesn’t think that Tiffany can keep him safe with Claire. Tiffany promised that she would not let Claire send Xavier home over Kyland. As for this week, Tiffany said she would like to put Kyland up next to Alyssa but she knows that Alyssa would expect Xavier to use the veto on him. She said she would therefore like to put Alyssa and Xavier up and she wants Xavier to win the veto. When they talked about potential replacement nominees, Xavier suggested Azah since Tiffany said she does not want to give Alyssa any hope. If Alyssa wins the veto, Tiffany said she will nominate Claire. She also let Xavier know that she will use the veto on him if she wins. Xavier said to put him up.
10:14 PM: Xavier told Kyland it bothers him that Azah didn’t get to win when she has not won yet. He also said this tells him that if Azah, Hannah or Tiffany had won, they were planning on targeting Alyssa even though he thought the intended target for the week was Claire.
12:08 AM: Tiffany got her HoH room.
12:31 AM: Kyland told Derek and Xavier that the silver lining is they have a much better shot at beating Claire than they would Alyssa next week. Xavier said he has an issue with it because it was a very self interested move and he doesn’t like people putting themselves above the six. Derek said he is worried about Tiffany pulling a fast one and taking one of them out. Kyland said she will not go against the six. Derek said he will put it in place for the girls to let him win the next HoH so that Kyland and Xavier can compete once they get down to six. Derek said he feels like they did all of the dirty work and he would be pissed if they cant make it to the end. Derek said he is ready to pull the trigger whenever they are. Xavier said they are not pulling the trigger before six. Kyland agreed. Kyland said that when he fell, he was so mad and thought to himself that he hopes Alyssa wins veto so that Tiffany has to send home Claire. Xavier suggested that he would throw the veto to Alyssa if it comes down to the two of them.
1:06 AM: Derek told Kyland that his hit list for the six is Tiffany, Hannah, Azah, Xavier and then it would be the two of them at the end. Kyland said he thinks that he would have trouble deciding between Azah and Hannah. Derek said he just knows that Hannah would be good at mental competitions over Azah.
1:24 AM: Derek told Azah he knows that Tiffany is going to put him on the block. Azah said Tiffany feels that the guys are mad at her. Azah told Derek that she was initially more upset with Kyland because he did not drop, but then once she talked to Xavier she thought about it more and realized that Tiffany should have dropped since they discussed Derek, Kyland or herself winning this one. Derek hoped that Tiffany would stick to the plan rather than nominating him or Kyland next to Alyssa. Derek added that if she feels as though the guys are mad at her, she could make a big move and put two of them up next to each other.
1:34 AM: Kyland told Hannah that Xavier said he wouldn’t have dropped if he thought that they were all just going to do whatever they wanted to do, which is fair. Hannah agreed. Hannah said she thought that they were all going to give it to Azah. On the positive side, Kyland said that Claire is more beatable than Alyssa.
1:58 AM: Xavier told Azah it frustrates him that she had a chance to have the HoH experience and the two people that had won it before didn’t give it to her. He said it was unnecessarily selfish. Xavier told Azah that Derek is worried about going up but he needs to chill out since he will be going up next to Alyssa. Xavier said Tiffany is worried that if she didn’t put him next to Alyssa, he would have to take her down and then she would be forced to put Claire up. Xavier said the evil part of him wants Alyssa to win the veto so bad. Azah said she kind of wants Alyssa to win, and she doesn’t know if it’s for TV or what.
2:23 AM: Tiffany told Hannah she told Kyland and Xavier that she knows she will have to put Claire up if Alyssa wins the veto, and that’s the position she decided to put herself in when she stayed up there. Tiffany let Hannah know that she is her final two. She told her about the conversation in which Kyland asked who she would pick between the two of them and she had to tell him that she would pick him but she would not. Hannah said she is going to do everything in her power to win veto or throw it to Claire.
