Big Brother 23 Day 67 - Kyland wins the Power of Veto
September 11, 2021
9:16 AM: Tiffany told Azah she said weeks ago that if Kyland won at six and didn’t put Xavier up, they are working together. She said she thinks that those two want to be in the final two together. She added that she believes the three guys have something together in hope of ensuring that a black man can win the money. Tiffany said she cant be mad about it since she wanted to do the same with the girls. Azah said there are people whose story resonates with her and therefore she would be happy if they won, and those people are Derek and Tiffany. Tiffany said they all deserve the money but Xavier has played the hell out of the game and she cannot see a flaw in his game. Tiffany stated that Xavier would have her vote if he makes it to the end. Tiffany asked Azah what she would do if she were to win HoH. Azah said she would want to target Kyland. Tiffany said she would be going after Kyland as well since he is the only person she knows for a fact is coming after her.
12:36 PM: Feeds went down for the veto competition.
6:37 PM: Feeds returned. Kyland won the Power of Veto.
7:37 PM: Tiffany spoke to the cameras. She said she lost the veto but that’s okay because she still has something up her sleeve. She mentioned that she plans to talk to Kyland, and asked that the viewers not lose hope. Tiffany said she needs to be able to effectively communicate to him that she cannot be loyal to anyone else in the game if he keeps her in the house. Tiffany said she will try since she means it given that nobody else can offer her anything at this point.
7:48 PM: Hannah asked Derek if he thinks that she would be fine should nominations stay the same. Derek confirmed that she would be fine. Derek said he is worried that she would put him up next week. Hannah said it’s tough to say definitively since so few people are left and if the person not on the block uses the veto, you have no choice but to put the other person up that was not nominated initially. Derek said he doesn’t have a problem with going up but he worries about going home. Hannah assured him that he would not be her target.
9:30 PM: Hannah spoke to the cameras. She said chances are Kyland is going to leave nominations the same. Hannah said she plans on offering him a deal that she will vote however he wants and would use the veto on him next week if he uses it on her this week. Hannah said she also plans on offering a final two deal to Kyland. She explained that she does not know whether or not she would stick to that deal. Hannah talked about offering a final three to Kyland and Xavier as well, as she thinks that next week’s HoH will come down to her and Xavier. If she wins, Hannah said all deals are off and her mission would be to get Kyland or Xavier out. Hannah said she, Azah and Derek need to look out for each other because they are the most expendable ones in the Cookout. Hannah brought up that she would like to make a final two deal with Azah as she would like to sit in the final two chairs with her but she knows that Azah doesn’t see it that way.
9:59 PM: Tiffany said she needs to be able to effectively allow Kyland to understand that she knows exactly where she went wrong, and she needs him in order to stay in the house. Tiffany said she hopes Kyland understands that she plans to keep her word to him for keeping her in the game. Tiffany said she is now fighting to prove that she will do all of the things that Kyland expected of her when they made a final two deal.
10:03 PM: Hannah checked in with Derek who told her he believes that she will be fine this week. He asked what her worst fear is. Hannah said it would be Kyland using the veto on Tiffany. Both agreed that he is unlikely to do that. Derek said Tiffany has been the cause of many of the problems that the six have had throughout the season. He mentioned that she has had an attitude with all of them except for Hannah. He said they love Tiffany but she is hard to work with. Derek said he expects that he and Xavier will vote to keep Hannah while Azah will vote to keep Tiffany since they do not want anyone to go out unanimously.
11:15 PM: Tiffany told Azah that yesterday she had given up even before the veto competition had taken place. She said she needs to talk to Kyland and then go from there. Azah said she would vote for Tiffany but that would only make it a 2-1 vote. Tiffany said she believes that she messed up by doubting Kyland’s loyalty to her. She admitted that she does not like to apologize. Tiffany said she realized today that she was thinking all along she hopes that Azah doesn’t characterize her gameplay as her character, and think that because she is doing things to manipulate others she must be doing it to her too, yet that’s the way that she judged Kyland in the game. As for Azah, she said Azah never treated her as if she thought her strategies characterized her, as opposed to Kyland who she thought could be gaming her. Tiffany apologized to Azah.
1:42 AM: Kyland asked Xavier how high his concern is about getting backdoored. Xavier said not very high at all. Kyland said he wanted his concern to be at zero and that’s why he made these nominations. Kyland said he is taking Xavier in every single scenario. Xavier said Kyland showed him all that he needed to this week. Kyland expressed a bit of concern that Xavier could cut him final three in order to ensure a win. Xavier said he would rather beat someone who played the game well so he knows that he played the game better, and he is still getting some money even if he loses to Kyland. Finally, he said he does not know what the jury would do with Derek in the final two. Xavier asked if the plan is to keep nominations the same. Kyland said he is thinking about it, but he is also considering using the veto on Hannah. Xavier asked if he would be pulling her down to get in her good graces. Kyland said that’s where he is leaning. While Xavier thought that Azah should go up if that happens, Kyland said he is thinking Derek. Xavier said he would keep Derek and Azah would keep Tiffany but he does not know what Azah would do. Kyland said if Azah is going to flip and they can’t trust her, he would rather find that out when the two of them are not on the block. Xavier said it worries him that Azah and Tiffany have been talking a lot. Xavier said worst case scenario if Derek gets voted out, it’s him against Azah, Hannah and Tiffany in the HoH competition. Xavier wondered if they could make the same deal with Hannah without using the veto on her. Kyland said if Hannah offers him something for keeping the nominations the same, then he would feel comfortable doing that.
2:22 AM: Tiffany told Kyland she felt that her game was over yesterday. She said it’s not like Kyland is the only person she had but she felt like if she doesn’t have him, she doesn’t have much. After losing the veto, Tiffany said she did some self reflection. Tiffany said her only chance of staying in the game is Kyland. Tiffany said God humbled her by making her lose that badly since she was not even planning on talking to Kyland. Tiffany told Kyland it’s hard for her to admit that she is wrong. She explained that she watched him with people and then wondered if he is playing the same game with her. She added that she stopped talking game with Azah because she didn’t want her judging her in the way that she judged Kyland. She said she owes Kyland an apology. Tiffany told Kyland that her game is done without him saving her, and him doing that would be trusting her to be loyal. Tiffany said there is no one else in this house that can save her and there is nobody else that she is loyal to. Tiffany said he would have her unconditional loyalty and respect. Tiffany argued that nobody else would have any obligation to be loyal to him and keep him there like she would have to. Tiffany apologized for getting to the point where she has to ask for his loyalty again, and said she would back those words up with actions if she stays. Kyland said there are still conversations that he needs to have with the others in the house. Kyland also pointed out that if she had the opportunity to better herself in the game, even at his detriment, it’s within the rules of the game so she would not be disappointing anyone. Tiffany said no and then the feeds cut. When they returned, Tiffany said she will never choose anyone or her own personal game over what she promised to Kyland. Tiffany said he will always have her vote and she will always use the veto on him. Kyland said it would be helpful if she looked at what things would look like if he used the veto on her and if he didn’t use it as well, as the way she is presenting things is limited in that it’s not accounting for different scenarios. He explained that if she stays due to him, he may no longer be safe over her if they end up nominated together. Tiffany said if keeping her there ruins her game, she doesn’t want that. Tiffany brought up thinking that Azah and Hannah would support her staying. Kyland said he would need to hear that from them. Kyland asked what it means if their conversations tomorrow do not go well. Tiffany said she will still be his friend.
