Big Brother 23 Day 69 - Kyland decides not to use the Power of Veto
September 13, 2021
8:58 AM: Feeds went down for the veto ceremony.
9:57 AM: Feeds returned. Kyland decided not to use the Power of Veto. Hannah and Tiffany remain nominated.
10:03 AM: Derek told Hannah and Tiffany that it’s a weird situation since for them all because if the DR was to offer them an opportunity to split the money, they likely would. Both Hannah and Tiffany said that they would agree to that. Tiffany pointed out that everyone would get over $100,000. Derek suggested that whoever wins may still do that. Hannah and Tiffany told him that they cannot do that. Derek said if he wanted to give them $5,000 for Christmas, it would be a gift.
10:08 AM: Derek told Xavier that if he won and wanted to give whoever finishes in sixth the same amount of money that fifth place gets, that could make sense. Xavier told him that he is not allowed to say that because it seems like he is colluding and bribing the jury.
11:19 AM: Azah told Derek she thinks that Kyland believes he is turning on his charm with her and it may be working. Azah said her heart belongs to two men in this house, those being him and Xavier. Azah said it’s interesting that Kyland says he had the closest relationship but Tiffany but he is sending her home. She questioned what would make him do that. Derek said things change when Tiffany won HoH last week and showed that she did not trust him.
11:56 AM: Tiffany told Kyland she thinks that she needs to convince Xavier by telling him that if he keeps her, Kyland will always come after her before he comes after him. Tiffany said she also thinks that Derek wants Kyland on an island by himself so that he would have to choose him. Tiffany explained that’s why Derek is okay with her going. Tiffany said Derek knows that Kyland doesn’t have Azah, he maybe has Hannah, but he has her. Tiffany figured that Derek would therefore not change his mind about keeping her unless he felt that he has Kyland more than she does.
1:54 PM: Tiffany asked Derek what if Azah wants to keep her for the three of them and Kyland to work together. Tiffany stressed that she is not coming after Derek. Derek said he knows that. Derek said Hannah already told him a while back that they should work together. Tiffany said Hannah is cutthroat and there for the money. Derek said he knows she is. Derek said they both have made valid points. Tiffany said Hannah has made deals with everyone and Hannah would never be willing to work with Azah the way that she would be. Tiffany added that Hannah is going for the money and wont care what she has promised anyone. Derek said he thinks that Tiffany for sure has Azah’s vote, so it will come down to him and Xavier. Tiffany said Hannah will come after Derek because she does not want anyone taking him to the final two. Tiffany said she would be okay with taking fourth place to Azah, Derek and Kyland. Tiffany then stated that Xavier has played a flawless game and she cant see him not winning the game if he makes it to the end. Derek argued that the jury should have a tough time picking between him and Xavier. Tiffany said she doesn’t think so.
2:11 PM: Derek let Kyland know that Tiffany is working the hell out of him, trying to say that it would be better for her to stay and they could all go after Xavier. Kyland said Tiffany is trying to get Derek to look at Xavier and vice versa. Derek said Tiffany is telling her that Hannah would not want him to get to three. Kyland argued that Tiffany would do the same thing.
2:12 PM: Tiffany told Xavier she assumed that he would keep Hannah but then she decided that maybe she should talk to him anyway in case he is not looking at it from an emotional standpoint. Tiffany said Xavier’s best bet would be to stick with Azah because she would be loyal whereas Hannah may not be. Tiffany explained that Hannah is young, wants to win, and she would cut Xavier. If she stays, Tiffany said Kyland would continue to target her and therefore he would not become after Xavier. Tiffany said she would owe Azah and Xavier her loyalty if they were to keep her, since they are her only chance. Tiffany brought up that the Cookout may just let Xavier walk to the end. Xavier said he thinks that Kyland would take the shot but did not believe that the timing was right this week. Tiffany agreed. Xavier admitted that he was leaning towards keeping Hannah but Tiffany makes good arguments and he will have to continue to think it over.
2:52 PM: Azah let Xavier know about the deal that she made with Kyland. Azah reassured Xavier that she will not go against him even though she made that deal with Kyland. She said Hannah his likely going to go after a guy next week, meaning that it would probably be Kyland or Xavier targeted, so she cannot win HoH. Azah suggested that Xavier drop out if Hannah has been eliminated from the competition, and then he can compete at four. Xavier said he may do that but he doesn’t know how beneficial it is to throw competitions at this point. Xavier worried that nobody would be going after Kyland since he made deals with everyone. Azah said he would not be her first option but he would still be her second option.
3:28 PM: Derek told Xavier that Tiffany is trying and just told him that everyone would vote for Xavier over him, and that Hannah is going to get rid of him. Xavier said Tiffany also told him that Hannah would take him out. The guys agreed that they cannot keep Tiffany. Xavier said Hannah cannot win HoH because Azah is the only person that she doesn’t have a reason to go after. Derek agreed. Both guys talked about nominating Azah and Hannah if they win HoH, with Hannah being their target. If Azah wins, Derek said he would tell her to make sure that she puts Hannah up, and that he can go up next to her. Xavier said he would rather Kyland sit on the block instead of Derek.
5:42 PM: Kyland told Derek she is glad that Tiffany is not convincing him. Derek said she is trying. Kyland said she was trying with him the past couple of nights as well. Xavier asked if she wanted to get him put up. Kyland said it was mostly that. Derek and Xavier let Kyland know that Tiffany is throwing Hannah under the bus. They talked about Azah potentially ending up on the wrong side of the vote, giving Hannah reason to target her next. They discussed that the only way for it to work would be if Derek sells it that he does not know what he is doing, but then Azah would feel blindsided by Derek so it’s not worth it.
6:09 PM: Kyland told Derek that Tiffany is confusing him because she said Azah was voting for her at one point but then also said that Azah is going to do whatever he wants her to do. For that reason, Kyland said he would rather Derek not give Tiffany hope about his vote, since she will then pressure him to get Azah on board. Derek said he wont crack since he has been waiting for this moment all season.
