Big Brother 23 Day 8
July 14, 2021
9:50 AM: While talking to the cameras, Britini mentioned that she had a heart to heart with Azah last night that almost made her cry. She called Azah her #1 and said that she is Azah’s #1 as well. Britini said that they see the game totally different which is beautiful since they can each pick up on different things.
10:00 AM: Azah, Claire and Tiffany discussed the girls alliance. Tiffany thinks Frenche did it just because he needs their votes as he expects that the guys will come after him. Tiffany said that the alliance means nothing to her and she was going to act as though it never happened. Azah asked if the three of them should solidify what they have with Britini. The girls agreed.
10:04 AM: Azah, Britini, Claire and Tiffany got together to solidify their “King Slayers” alliance.
10:06 AM: Britini asked Tiffany if she is not a fan of the girls alliance. Britini herself said she thinks there are too many girls in it and they would not be left with anyone to nominate. Tiffany said that it protects Frenchie and he established it because he thinks that he is going up next week. Britini said Hannah told her that the guys on her team are already saying they think that a girls alliance is forming, so it’s a bad idea. Tiffany let Britini know that she does not want Frenchie to be safe, which would mean that Britini cannot win HoH. Britini said her only reason for going for it would be to make sure that Azah and Derek F are safe, which Tiffany argued that they already are. The girls talked about seeing a whole new side to Sarah Beth last night. Britini called her the dark horse of the season. Britini said she will go for HoH if Sarah Beth is still in it.
10:23 AM: Britini and Kyland talked about having trust in each other moving forward. Kyland said that his loyalty to Frenchie is real, but he doesn’t know if all of the jokes that Frenchie makes about not trusting him are real.
10:32 AM: Frenchie told Derek X and Kyland he doesn’t know who is lying since it’s only week one. Kyland said actions speak louder than words and Derek and Frenchie are the only two who have shown and followed through on their actions. Frenchie said someone mentioned that it would be easy to target Derek X next but he said he will fight them on it and would use the veto on him.
10:45 AM: Derek X gave Frenchie a heads up that Travis is going to try to get some time with him. Derek said Travis’ pitch is that Alyssa is stronger than they think she is, Travis would be more loyal to Frenchie than she would be, and he is more likely to win competitions to keep Frenchie safe. Frenchie said that Travis would have his vote if he had one this week. Frenchie said it would be a lot harder to get rid of the two of them and Kyland if Travis were around. Derek agreed and said that Travis is so loyal. Frenchie said it would be a blindside if they were to secure the votes but he isn’t sure if they can. Derek said Travis’ team should vote for him. He also thought that his team might do the same. Frenchie said he would not advise talking to Derek’s team about it but he may be able to flip his own team.
10:51 AM: Frenchie and Whitney discussed that they are aligned with some tough competitors. Whitney said she was glad to hear about a girls alliance forming that wants to come after some of them. They agreed that they would need to evict a strong alliance member over a floater if given the opportunity. If a strong member of the other side is on the block, Frenchie said they should take the weaker member out. Whitney said they would basically be working both alliances at that point. Whitney asked if they are making their final two official. Frenchie said yes. When Whitney asked who started the other alliance, Frenchie said that it was Claire. Whitney said her goal was to get Claire out because she doesn’t trust her but if she is going after big targets, she doesn’t want to get her out. Frenchie assured Whitney that she is not on Claire’s radar as she is going after the big guns. Whitney said their objective is to keep the strong females in the house to target the strong males that they are aligned with. Frenchie mentioned that there are three strong males for them to go after. He said he could flip the vote this week in a heartbeat but it’s in his best interest to get Travis out since he is a strong competitor.
11:50 AM: Frenchie mentioned to Xavier that little alliances are going to start popping up all over, and then people will feel a certain way if they hear about it, which is why he made a point to tell them last night that he is just trying to see where the girls’ heads are at. Xavier said it’s like they have a spy in the group in Frenchie. Frenchie said he hasn’t told them yes yet but he did not want to do so without talking to the others first.
11:58 AM: Frenchie told Derek F, Hannah and Xavier that he is sick and tired of watching the minorities go home before jury. He said he cannot stand it and it bothers him.
12:02 PM: Christian and Tiffany whispered to each other while sitting at the kitchen table. Christian explained that he would like for his team to win HoH but he personally does not want to be the one to win it. Tiffany agreed that he should not win. Christian implied that he would be willing to give Tiffany HoH if it came down to the two of them. Tiffany said that she would not put him up.
12:13 PM: Britini and Christian discussed that neither of them feel as though they can win HoH. Christian did not want to become an even bigger target whereas Britini worried about having safety in back to back weeks.
12:23 PM: Hannah told Tiffany she doesn’t like that Frenchie said he can’t stand when women go home first then he nominated a woman. She also brought up him saying he can’t stand when the minorities are the first to go even though he nominated a black man and a Latina woman. Tiffany thinks he feels that way in his heart but is using that talk for strategy in this game. Hannah said social justice and social inequality is not something that he should be bringing up if he is insincere about it.
12:32 PM: Christian and Derek X chatted about how they got to this point. Derek said he felt that using the veto was the best thing to do in order to not burn any more bridges. He said he feels bad that he didn’t end up using it on Alyssa. Christian assured him that Alyssa does not hold it against him. They agreed that it should be a unanimous vote. Christian said he has heard that Derek threw his name out there so he would like to clear things up and squash it. Derek denied having done that. He claimed that he was never targeting Christian. Christian said a girl needs to go next week. He told Derek that he would like for them to continue to have more talks.
12:50 PM: Derek F told Xavier that the hard part will be that they won’t be able to keep Azah and Tiffany. Xavier said he agrees that one of them will have to go at some point but he would prefer that it not be until later on. They then discussed that the Slaughterhouse does not trust Kyland. Xavier talked about Alyssa, Brent and Whitney being the last to enter it, so they should be on the bottom. Derek said that he would like to vote to evict Alyssa. The goal would be to place the blame on someone else. Xavier said Derek X was talking about keeping Travis, so he doesn’t need to do that. Derek F still wanted to throw another vote that way until Xavier said he shouldn’t as he worried that Kyland would take the blame. Derek ultimately agreed that it was not a good idea to do that this week.
5:07 PM: Feeds returned after being down for 2 hours 7 minutes.
5:11 PM: Alyssa spoke to Derek X about his vote. She said she knows that Travis is his friend and she is not going to get offended if he votes for him but that gives people an excuse to nominate him. Alyssa asked how Travis is doing. Derek said he is in good spirits and may be talking to people today. Derek said Alyssa should be fine since she has her entire team and his team. Alyssa wasn’t sure about Derek’s team but said she has her team in addition to Derek, Britini and Tiffany. Alyssa asked that Derek let her know if he plans to evict her. Derek said that he definitively won’t.
5:30 PM: Sarah Beth told Kyland that Frenchie started another alliance yesterday with the girls. She said it’s her, Azah, Claire, Hannah, Tiffany and Frenchie. As for next week, Sarah said her only problem with Derek X is that he was willing to throw her name out there but she is a logical player and she can forgive. She thinks that he would be a dead man walking next week. Sarah suggested that she could nominate Brent and Whitney if she wins, chipping away at the big alliance, but she would have to put Derek up if she needed a replacement nominee.
6:00 PM: Hannah told Alyssa she has heard talk from the guys that there might be an all girls alliance. Alyssa said she doesn’t believe that there is one. She added that they would be stupid not to have included the two of them. Hannah said it sounds ridiculous to think that Claire and Sarah Beth would be able to mastermind the first successful girls alliance in 21 years of the show.
6:19 PM: Travis made his four point pitch to Brent and Frenchie. His first point was that Alyssa could end up in a showmance as she has the connection to Christian and Xavier has said that he is extremely fond of someone in the house. His second point was that he is loyal. Frenchie said he has told people that Travis is extremely loyal, so he knows that. Thirdly, Travis said there is a potential girls alliance which means that a second guy could go next week and put the guys down two numbers. Finally, Travis told Frenchie that he would be a shield for him and would be the best person for him to be sitting next to if he happens to go up next week.
6:23 PM: Derek F mentioned to Alyssa that they could tried to throw a vote or two the other way to give them more reason to go after Derek and Claire. Alyssa didn’t feel comfortable with it since she is on the block. Derek said that he would never do it if she is going to be uncomfortable with it. Derek said that Derek X will be on the block for sure if he wins HoH. Alyssa said the same thing.
6:26 PM: Brent told Frenchie that Travis obviously doesn’t know that they are aligned with everyone but he had a good argument. Frenchie agreed. Brent said he likes Travis but he has to go. Frenchie agreed.
6:41 PM: Frenchie told Tiffany that he needs someone help from her tomorrow in order to keep him there next week. He said everyone is worried about Derek X and would blame him if someone voted to evict Alyssa, which would make him the next target and buy himself another week. Tiffany asked if Frenchie wants her to throw a rogue vote. Frenchie said that would be great. Tiffany agreed to do so under the condition that Frenchie not tell anyone no matter how long they are in the house for. Frenchie agreed.
6:47 PM: Alyssa told Whitney that she trusts Hannah the most of the other girls after talking with her. Whitney let Alyssa know that Frenchie confirmed that there is a girls alliance. Whitney named Azah, Britini, Claire and Tiffany as the members of it. Whitney explained that they want to knock out the big male players. Alyssa said it kind of helps them then. When Alyssa asked how Frenchie knows, Whitney said that they asked him to be a part of it. The girls discussed that they must not have been included since they have closer relationships with the guys. Alyssa said that Hannah needs to be the last one to go since she is not in the girls alliance or the Slaughterhouse. Alyssa mentioned that they might need to be strategic in throwing some competitions to the girls. Whitney said she loves that idea and is so happy that she said that. They talked about being in the middle since the girls are after the guys and the guys in their alliance are after the girls. Alyssa didn’t want to throw tomorrow’s HoH competition but they agreed to discuss doing so prior to the next competition.
7:10 PM: Alyssa told Claire she doesn’t know who she would put up and therefore she would have to decide based on the vote. Alyssa asked if she has Claire’s vote. Claire said that she does and she would give her a heads up if she decides to give Travis a sympathy vote.
7:25 PM: Alyssa asked Kyland if he is going to give Travis a sympathy vote, and if he would tell her if was going to. Kyland said that he plans to vote with the house. Alyssa said the only people that she has left to talk to are Azah and her team, and everyone is still on the same page to keep her.
7:50 PM: Alyssa asked Azah if she has her vote. Azah confirmed that she does. Alyssa said everyone is telling her the same thing right now. Alyssa explained that the only thing she would have to go off of if she wins HoH is if anyone votes against her.
8:09 PM: Alyssa told Sarah Beth she thinks that she needs to put Derek X up because he said that he trusts their team the least. Alyssa said she thinks that she has all of the votes. She brought up telling Claire, Derek X and Kyland know to tell her if they are going to cast a sympathy vote so that she does not hold it against them, but she will anyway. Alyssa said she would nominate Derek X if she wins but she would not want to use Hannah or Tiffany as a pawn. There were also talks about potentially trying to get Brent and Hannah to throw the competition in order to ensure that Derek X would not be safe.
8:49 PM: Alyssa filled Christian in on the girls alliance. She said Whitney told her that Frenchie was approached by Azah, Britini, Claire and Tiffany to join it, and he agreed because he can get information to help their alliance. Alyssa assumed that she was not included because they think that she is closer to the guys. Alyssa said that’s why she trusts Hannah, because she excluded as well. Alyssa said that Hannah should be the last one to go out of those outside of their alliance. Alyssa talked about being more loyal to the alliance than to their team because she didn’t think that their team would be able to get them anywhere. She told Christian that Derek X lies to her face and says that he was never targeting Christian but then at the same time tells her not to tell him anything. There were once again discussions about talking to Brent's team in order to make sure that they throw HoH so that Derek X is not safe.
9:54 PM: When Alyssa caught Xavier up on her talks, she let him know that Derek X said he trusts their team the least. Alyssa asked if Xavier is thinking about putting him up. Xavier said he is if Derek trusts their team the least. Alyssa asked if he wasn’t going to before, and Xavier said he had planned to keep him around for at least another week. Alyssa questioned why he would when Derek is coming after her and Christian.
10:04 PM: Xavier spoke to the cameras and said that he will be throwing HoH the first chance that he gets. He mentioned that he would like Alyssa to win to target the people that he cannot. If someone outside of the Slaughterhouse wins, Xavier said that sounds like a Slaughterhouse problem and not a Xavier problem.
